1. I recently bought this and was not at all satisfied. I had it for about 2 weeks and it broke when I unplugged it. The sound wasn't even that great. So I'm trying to return it. Spend the extra money unless your a VERY beginner.



2. I bought this a few years ago, and at first (as most would expect with a bass this inexpensive) it was not terribly great. The pickups are a weak and the action is not the best. Heres what I did:
   -Fixed the action (alen wrenches, and some nights with weights on it)
   -Bought 2 sets of P-bass pickups and installed BOTH (replacing the old ones and adding another at the neck, about $40 on ebay, great deal)
   -Repainted it with a black gloss, gold and silver on the pickguard (sanded it down but retained the cool looking red underneath)
   -New strings (ernie ball hybrids)
   
   All in all, the work took about 4 hours cumulative, and only cost me about $50-60. Sure you could get a better bass for that much more, but if you want to have fun and make a bass truly your own or want to experiment on a bass, this is the one. This bass has good quality wood and hardware that can be used with the same, new and improved bass.

1. Bought for a beginner and it has great sound. Seller described excellent. Great price. Highly recommend.



2. This actually looked like it would have been a decent bass, until it arrived. The bass arrived in a cardboard box not much bigger than the actual bass, with absolutely NO padding. This caused scratches on the body of the bass, and a broken tuning key. Unfortunately, they're customer service is entirely email based, and so it took a few days to finally get through. But they asked that I either ship the bass back myself and get another bass shipped to me (likely arriving in the same condition as their previous one), or they'd simply send me a new tuning key and I'd have to fix it myself. After considering this, I finally just agreed to fix it myself with the parts they sent me.
   
   The take-home message is, DONT order any type of instrument from this company if you want it to arrive in one piece.



3. I'm a musician, so when I saw "bass guitar" on my nephew's x-mas list, I knew instantly that I would have to get it for him. (His mom doesn't like noise, bonus). Of course, being a musician I'm on a limited budget. This is a really good four string bass guitar for a beginner. For the price, I was expecting a much shoddier set up. Everything he'll need to get him to the next level is included here, and if he decides the bass isn't for him, I haven't wasted a whole lot of money. I couldn't help but open it up when it arrived (to tune it and make sure it wasn't broken like some other reviews assured me it would be), but it was in great shape. VERY GOOD GUITAR FOR A BEGINNER!!! EXCEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!!!



4. The amp was fine. But the bass was a mess. Lots of fret buzz, sometimes the notes don't even change when you move up the neck. We tried to fix it with no success. Don't waste your money.
