1 comments about Luna Aurora Petite Acoustic Guitar, Mermaid.
- We bought this guitar this year for our 6 year old for Christmas. It came in this week and it so much cuter than it even was in the computer. It looks great and sounds great. This is not a toy. My daughter LOVES mermaids and my husband is determined to teach her to play, so a mermaid guitar might just get her motivated.

- 23 Inch Kid's Acoustic Toy Guitar Set - Pearlescent Pink
I ordered this hot little pink guitar for my 3 year old grandaughter. The sound was amazing and she loved it. It was far superior than I expected for the money I paid for it. It comes in other colors as well.
- I bought this based the other reviewer's great remarks.
But, as the title says, it's a "Toy Guitar".
It looks good, but can't tune. It's so difficult to tune. You tune one string and do the next. When you go back to check, the tunes are gone -- they don't hold. I even tightened the screws on the back of the keys, per the instructions.
For $14.95, at least it looks good. Maybe Ruby Tuesday's can use it as part of their wall deco.

1 comments about Debutante by Daisy Rock Junior Miss Acoustic Pack (Bubble Gum Pink).
- I purchased a Daisy Rock Debutante for my 9 year old daughter's birthday. She really wanted this pink guitar over all others, because Hannah Montana plays a Daisy Rock. The finish is very nice and the 3/4 size is perfect for her size. We had a problem in getting the low E string peg to stay seated when attempting to tune it. I tried all of the usual methods of putting tape around the peg and tapping it with a punch. No luck. So, I called up Daisy Rock directly on the telephone and explained the problem to them. Here is what happened. Because Amazon only had one in stock at the time I placed my order, Daisy Rock stepped up to the plate and shipped me out a replacement guitar the same day. This was for my daughters birthday and they understood the significance of that. The replacement tuned up nicely and plays great. I highly recommend this Daisy Rock Debutante as a great starter guitar for girls. And, Daisy Rock has earned my respect for their excellent customer service and product support.

- I am very unhappy with this little guitar - even though it is very pretty. As soon as I tune it, it immediately loses its tune, so it is impossible for my daughter to play anything that sounds good on it. It is also very difficult to tune, because the pegs do not turn well. I have a guitar playing friend who said that the strings might stretch out eventually and it should hold a tune better then, but I don't have much hope for that. I had another friend who suggested that I invest in a highter quality set of tuning pegs (about $15) I might do that.
I was hoping to purchase this cheaper guitar and find out if my daughter likes it before purchasing a more expensive one, but since she can't play anything on it, there is no way to find that out!
- It wasn't a week before a string broke. This guitar is cheaper, but I guess you get what you pay for. I bought it to see if my daughter would like it to take lessons and now I have to buy strings and pegs to make that possible.

- I bought this guitar for my 6 yr old son. I was taking a chance w/ this one, there was no reviews for it. And all the other reviews for the other guitars were not appealing. But this one was a different brand so I went for it!
The results were very rewarding. When u tighten the strings they stay tightened and it sounds great for a kids guitar. The guiter is made very nicely and very durable. I am definately glad I bought this one.
To be sure the strings stayed tighten we played it for over an hour w/ no problems.
If you're looking for a good kids guitar buy this one A++++++++
Also my mother wants me to buy one for her for her birthday she likes the small size than to the traditional size. She says it's easier for her to handle and it sounds nice. I know it sounds funny but it's true. So silly! lol.

1 comments about Traveler Ultra Light w/ Gig Bag.
- I've had various travel guitars- I have a Taylor Big Baby, and used to own a Martin Backpacker- but I was looking for something that was more portable than either- something small enough to pack inside a suitcase and carry on vacation. I wasn't looking something with great sound, or something stageworthy, just something with a full sized neck to practice on when I was away from home.
I tried one of the Travelers that comes with both piezo and magnetic pickups at a local guitar discount chain, and I liked the feel (though not the painted finish); it was the only model they had, so I decided to do a buit more research into the range. Back home, I looked at the Traveler Guitars web site, and this model caught my eye- no electronics, piezo pickup only, but it was light, tiny, and came in an attractive natural finish. And the price was right, too. I decided to chance it.
It arrived this morning, and I've been playing with it most of the day. Fit and finish is very good, if simple, and the feel of the neck is excellent. The neck in particular shows a lot of care, with all the frets carefully hand-filed and shaped- no sharp edges here, like on so many inexpensive imports. Traveler is either doing a lot of QC on these guitars when they arrive, or they've found a really good shop to produce them.
Despite the odd shape and lack of a headstock, it's easy to play. I found that a strap was more comfortable for me than the clip-on lap support, but thanks to the light weight, even without the strap or the lap support it's easy to hold.
Plugged into a standard guitar amp- a Tech21 Trademark 30- the sound was not very good- too much of that piezo twang, and an uneven balance. But plugged into the high-impedance (10 megohm) input of my Acoustic Image Contra, the sound was surprisingly good- better than a lot of much more expensive, piezo outfitted instruments I've tried. Using my K&K Preamp with a short (6") patch cord also delivered a much improved sound.
In summary, I'm very happy with this guitar (in fact, I've got in on my lap as I type this). It's tiny enough to travel everywhere, and with the right amplification, it sounds very good. In fact, I'm thinking the Traveler bass guitar might be a nice addition to the collection, too.

- If you read other reviews of the exact same guitars, only in different colors, you will find people urging you to avoid this guitar.
One should listen to them. I didn't expect them to be tunable nor of any level of acceptable quality, and in that measure, they performed perfectly!
Do not expect to tune them.
Do not expect the bridge to be glued to the guitar, so that it can be lost in an hour.
Do not expect the tuning pegs to be remotely tight -- if you tighten them with a screwdriver, you can change the pitch of the strings, but only barely. and i suspect if you tried to tune it, the body of the guitar would break quite quickly.
Do not expect the nut -- where the headstock meets the neck of the guitar, a small piece of material in which small grooves are carved out to guide the strings -- to be carved enough to hold the strings.
And when you buy it, and it falls apart, you will be forced to mail it back to the seller, which for a lousy $20 seems not even worth it. Buyer beware.
