- We were not pleased with this guitar at all. Yes, you get what you pay for, and it's by all means not an expensive guitar, but even for what we paid, we expected it to be of some quality. It sounded as "tinny" as you can think. In fact, my son wanted to keep it so he could play "banjo" with it. I told him we'd buy him a banjo if he really wanted to play. The fret board was scratchy looking among many other flaws in workmanship.
- This is a nice sounding guitar. Although it comes with a pitch pipe, there are no instructions on how to use it or even which pipe should tune which string. If I hadn't already had some musical background, I would still be at a loss on tuning it. However, the guitar seems pretty well constructed (I've seen worse) and the color really got my child excited to play it. I would recommend buying some type of teaching tool when you purchase the instrument because it doesn't come with anything.

1 comments about Traveler Ultra Light Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar w/ Gig Bag.
- I've had various travel guitars- I have a Taylor Big Baby, and used to own a Martin Backpacker- but I was looking for something that was more portable than either- something small enough to pack inside a suitcase and carry on vacation. I wasn't looking something with great sound, or something stageworthy, just something with a full sized neck to practice on when I was away from home.
I tried one of the Travelers that comes with both piezo and magnetic pickups at a local guitar discount chain, and I liked the feel (though not the painted finish); it was the only model they had, so I decided to do a buit more research into the range. Back home, I looked at the Traveler Guitars web site, and this model caught my eye- no electronics, piezo pickup only, but it was light, tiny, and came in an attractive natural finish. And the price was right, too. I decided to chance it.
It arrived this morning, and I've been playing with it most of the day. Fit and finish is very good, if simple, and the feel of the neck is excellent. The neck in particular shows a lot of care, with all the frets carefully hand-filed and shaped- no sharp edges here, like on so many inexpensive imports. Traveler is either doing a lot of QC on these guitars when they arrive, or they've found a really good shop to produce them.
Despite the odd shape and lack of a headstock, it's easy to play. I found that a strap was more comfortable for me than the clip-on lap support, but thanks to the light weight, even without the strap or the lap support it's easy to hold.
Plugged into a standard guitar amp- a Tech21 Trademark 30- the sound was not very good- too much of that piezo twang, and an uneven balance. But plugged into the high-impedance (10 megohm) input of my Acoustic Image Contra, the sound was surprisingly good- better than a lot of much more expensive, piezo outfitted instruments I've tried. Using my K&K Preamp with a short (6") patch cord also delivered a much improved sound.
In summary, I'm very happy with this guitar (in fact, I've got in on my lap as I type this). It's tiny enough to travel everywhere, and with the right amplification, it sounds very good. In fact, I'm thinking the Traveler bass guitar might be a nice addition to the collection, too.

1 comments about Seagull Entourage Rustic Mini Jumbo 6-string Acoustic Guitar.
- I purchased the Seagull Entourage Rustic Mini Jumbo 6-string guitar from a local shop in my area. I did my research on the subject, as I always do, and concluded that a Seagull would be a good investment. I really hadn't decided on the model yet, but trying it out in the store revealed to me that this model was the one I wanted. I'm so glad I bought it. My friends all say they've never heard of it, but all agree it sounds very good.
I've had it now for about 3 months and I can honestly say I love the sound and playability of it. It was setup just fine from the store. My son said it had a little string buzz, which it does if I pluck the strings very hard. A light touch to the strings and it doesn't buzz at all, so I think that is a result of how hard it is played. Have I said how much I love the sound of it? Play some Neal Young or any other acoustic song and it sounds just like the recordings as far as tone. Even "electric" songs sound great on this guitar and the sound just seems to get better and better as time goes on.
The QIM electronics also perform very well. It is very sensitive as I had to turn my amp way down initially due to feedback, but fine tuning the knobs will result in a sweet electric acoustic sound. This guitar is definitely one of the best bangs for the buck items I have had in quite some time. I couldn't be happier and wouldn't consider trading it off. I have tried some Ovations, Martins and Taylors that, in my opinion, did not sound as full and rich as this one. YMMV.
All in all I am very satisfied with this guitar and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to own a great sounding acoustic that will not break the bank.

- I don't have much experience with the product because it was a gift for my significant other for the holidays. He loves it. It came with everything you can possibly need and we didn't have to go out and buy anything b/c it was all there included! It's great quality at such a great cost. Would recommend.

- I think this guitar isn't that good. It's a good price but if you really want a decent guitar you should get one with a good brand. I know it comes with lots of accessories, but $80.00 is a lot to pay for the accessories if, the guitar is useless to you. If you just want to play for fun, then buy this one. If you want to learn to play, then get a decent guitar. I know this product looks nice but I would't recommend it. This is just my opinion though so if you think it's nice go ahead and buy it! Good luck!
- The fact that, for years, I have been playing a guitar that was too big for me may have something to do with my enthusiaim. But, I have really enjoyed this guitar! For over 30 years I have been struggling with a guitar that was simply too much guitar for my frame and my hands. I played well enough. Now I can make chord changes faster and the tone is nice and clear. The volume is very good. Not knowing when they were installed, or what kind they were, the first thing I did was change strings (with a quality brand) I have truely enjoyed the guitar and so has my music director. LOL
Might I suggest you carry a 3/4 or 1/2 for younger students?
- Cheapest guitar ever made. Did not work at all! Emailed asking for a return address, got an email back asking what was wrong and they tried to send me new strings. When I replied back that we didnt want new strings, it wouldnt fix the problem, I never heard from them again.
- The gutiar works really well but i had problems with changing the strings. A table knife really doesnt work in trying to get the pin out like the manual says. i had to take it to a shop, but overall it is a good gutiar.
- The guitar came in fantastic condition I must say...but the only acessories it actually came with were the guitar, case and stand. That would have been perfect...if it had been all that I ordered. But it was in excellent condition other than that.
