- This is a really great product. However, I see it has having more uses than mentioned. Great service from the supplier. Thanks for supplying an excellent product.
- this stuff is great... I use it with crown molding.. I had a friend come over.. he went home and ordered it right away.
Work quickly, don't get it on your hands.
- I have never had any real luck with the 'super glues' - this product is just amazing - it is a super glue but in a class by itself. Get some xtra debonder - it is not acetone like another reviewer mentioned. Acetone will not work. Every time I use this product I get great results.
- This stuff is really handy for trim and moldings. No more miter clamps! The bottle even lasted for a year inside my hot van interior, which is not the ideal place to store it! The activator last longer than expected if it's not over used.

5 comments about DELTA 17-950L 16.5-Inch TwinLaser Crosshair Drill Press.
- This is a good addition to my home workshop. I have successfully used this tool for precision drilling in wood and metal as well as milling both hardwoods (Walnut, Rosewood and Mahogany) as well as softer metals such as aircraft-grade aluminum and brass. Setup was easy with some assistance in lifting the head unit to the top of the post. The laser is not particularly useful to me as I always check measurements and levels at least in two dimensions prior to drilling or milling. The laser does provide a good rough approximation of location for the bit or cutting mill. The auxiliary light fixture failed (as all of them do on my Delta tools) within several hours of run time on the machine. This is the only common fault I have found with Delta products. A very minor concern though. Buy at Lowes when on sale. The price was considerably less than the On-line price.
- I must corroborate what other reviewers have said here: the drill is very nice, but not perfect. It could be smoother, more powerful, and better integrated, but it gets the job done.
The table is versatile and more than enough for most uses. The adjustment is as smooth as one would expect it to be, and the press itself is easy to use. The belts are a little noisy but not excessively so-- who wants a silent drill, after all?
One area of disappointment for me is the lack of integration between all the different electrical components:
The lasers run off a 9v battery attached to a conveniently placed switch. The switch is independent of the drill and so it's easy to leave the lasers on. Forget it one night and you've drained the battery completely. I'd invest in rechargeable 9volts-- but why isn't this run off of line current like the rest of the drill?
The lamp has a separate plug. At first I thought this was a shortcoming of the drill, but it's a good thing if you use it correctly. I found this out by not: a workpiece busted loose while I was boring at speed, causing the drill to draw inconsistent current as the piece bounced around the bit freely before I could stop it.
The lamp was plugged into the same outlet as the drill press, and the bulb blew before the circuit breaker did. Lesson learned: plug the lamp into a different circuit. :-)
But overall the unit is very nice, very solid.
- The assembly instructions were clear and easy to use. The drill press is excellent with plenty of power and table area. The laser is a gimick; and could use a focus adjustment to sharpen the lines. Be prepared to build a stabilizing base out of plywood if you don't anchor it to the floor. Definitely worth the money...:)
- I was sad when my old drill press was killed by a combination of a fire and having a load of lumber delivered on top of it. I had been saving up for this one for a while. It puts my old one to shame. No noticeable vibration or run out. There is nearly 4 inches of quill travel. The table has three axes of freedom. It can rotate out of the way around the column. It can tip side to side, indexed at common angles, with a scale, although you will need to use the included hex wrench. It also tips front to back on dual trunions with handles. I have only used it a few times so far, but I love it. The laser feature is nothing great. It is a separate accessory, plastic that you bolt on the column and it uses its own 9v. battery and it is a bit tricky to get it to stay aimed properly. One draw back is that it takes two outlets, one for the motor and one for the lamp. I would recommend bolting a power strip to the machine some how and adding a 9v battery adapter so you don't need to worry about the laser battery and multiple outlets.
Although the box was fairly beaten up when it arrived, there was no damage or missing parts. The screw for the spring on the table index pin had worked loose in transit and took only a moment to put back together. I had little trouble assembling it. Had my wife and daughter help putting the head on just to be safe. I put the table in place upside-down so it could sit on my lap while I was assembling the joint, then I used the rotation feature to put it in the proper orientation and finish tightening the table. I decided it would be easier than trying to align it and start the bolt from the bottom.
- I have had this machine for about a year now. I bought it after thoroughly researching models in this price range +/- 50%. This press has proven itself to be accurate and versatile. As others have pointed out, there is virtually no runout. Build quality is good, but not perfect. (For example, there was a rattle to quiet.) It has plenty of travel (just under 4") for the wide range of tasks I have given it, and ample power, even for large hole saws. The large rectangular table is a pleasure to use and was fairly easy to calibrate to level. The T-tracks are super handy. The laser is nice in some cases, but not necessary.
I immediately added a shop-built fence, a light bulb (it does not come with one), about an inch of foam weather stripping under top lid to quiet the rattle, and a couple of zip ties to better route the cords. I also mounted the whole unit on a mobile base made of 1.5" square oak and a double layer of 3/4" plywood. After these, it is just about perfect, and certainly, I believe, the best value in this price range.
It is helpful to have a helper for assembly, as the heavy head has to be lifted onto the top of the column once the column is vertical. If you want a mobile base, it is much easier to mount it while you are assembling the unit rather than later. Two layers of plywood were necessary for the base to reduce flex.

- Excellent sandpaper that holds up well.
- Friends,
I bought this Porter-Cable product, along with the 180 grit roll adhesive sandpaper. These 2 products, though they have the same SKU as previously, are no longer made in the United States. The longevity of the abrasive is shorter than previously on both grits. The units made in the U.S. were made by 3M for P-C. If possible, I would like to order the U.S. produced product.
Thank you.

5 comments about Makita DA3010F 4 Amp 3/8-Inch Right Angle Drill with LED Light.
- I had purchased the Dewalt equivalent but did not like the way the switch worked. I thought it would be awkward when in use. The Makita will fit into a narrower space than the Dewalt. The LED light is very useful and the switch lever works well. This drill has tons of power even at low rpm. One caution. These right angle drills are harder to use when installing screws. The small head means it is easier to get "off center" with the screw versus using a standard drill. The result is that you can strip the screw pretty easily. You must use more caution, proceed slowly and make sure you don't have a worn bit to get the best results. Once you master its use, it will go places no regular drill can touch!!
- I bought this drill for two things: drilling and driving wood screws. The Makita does not do a good job driving screws because it lacks the speed control necessary for such work. When driving a 3" screw into a predrilled hole in douglas-fir, the drill will torque stall with the screw driven about 2/3 of the way home. No big deal, just squeeze the trigger a little more -- but a slight increase in trigger squeeze results in the drill speed jumping to full rated RPM - which causes one to either overdrive the screw, or to twist off the head. Either result is not acceptable. The speed control seems to be a two-stage affair - a slow speed low torque range for driving screws (nominally) and another full speed range with high torque for drilling. The transition between the two is very abrupt.
I also found the drill's chuck to be clumsy to operate. If a knurled ring were installed such that one could grip the chuck barrel by hand, one could hand tighten the chuck onto a drill most of the way. Some drill press chucks have this feature. As it is, one has to use the chuck key which takes a while, and furthermore the use of the chuck key tends to result in the spindle turning and the chuck key hitting the housing that the LED is mounted into. In any case, the mounting of tools in the chuck could be improved. The lack of a case to store a $200 investment is unfortunate.
I liked the removable handle, the very nice fit and finish of the drill, and the generous electrical cord length.
- Great Tool! Lightweight, compact, totally functional. The only improvement needed would be a compact Keyless Chuck.
- I just used my Makita for the first time for disassembling a number of basement storage shelves to move to a new house. Some of the shelves were in dark unlighted lockers and the Makita LED light made a difficult job easy. You simply press start, which switches on the light, identify the screw head, and bingo, out comes the screw! The Makita is light, easy to handle and the controls are intuitive and simple to adjust. I am pleased with this powered version because my several cordless drills are constantly running out of power and I won't have to worry about that with this Makita.
- 3/8th right angle drills or compact drills if you will are misunderstood tools. They are often put to use on jobs the manufacturer never intended them for. I am just as guilty as the next guy of this. I often overtax a tool to test its limits.
This tool is a light to medium duty drill. It is not a hole hawg or Timberwolf. It will not be able to run augerbits and self feed bits like those drills! It is a 4 amp 3/8ths drill-Much like other 3/8ths drills, I found this drill to be right at home drilling holes that were under an inch in diameter using standard twist bits or paddle bits for boring larger holes.
Under extended heavy useage I found the drill got very hot. But I was pushing it pretty hard by making 3/4 inch holes to run romex through multiple studs.
The drill itself is a nice piece of engineering- The head of the drill is only 2&5/8 inches wide, allowing you to get into some tight spots. The chuck is a keyed design that requires use of a key to tighten the bit. the chuck grips tight when all 3 holes of the chuck body are tightened with the supplied key.( there is even a holder for the key on the cord)
There is an LED light that illuminates the work area when the bar trigger is depressed that is slick for when you are working in a dark area with little ambient lighting. The drill has variable speeds of 0-2400 that can be varied by setting a maximum speed control dial on the trigger, or just varying the amount of pressure on the trigger.
This drill is reversible, but I found that the reversing switch placement at the rear of the tool made it difficult to access during use. Putting the switch up by the front might have allowed the user to manipulate direction with a thumb.
If you are driving screws with this drill, I would recomend predrilling as I foud it difficult to get pressure behind the drill as easily as a standard pistol grip drill.
I would have liked to have seen this drill come with a case. At 200 dollars, that is a feature many look for in a tool purchase. There are no bits either, if you were wondering. You get a cardboard box and a side handle with this tool. The side handle screws into either end of the head of the drill.
In my decision to buy a compact 3/8 drill, I considered:
1) Dewalt 18 volt DW960- Bought it and found when pushed too hard it grenades the gears.
2) Bosch 1132 Compact drill- very similar to the makita, but no side handle and a slight bit less compact.
3) Hitachi D10yb- Again, similar to the Makita, actually has a bit more power(4.6 amps vs. 4 amps) Has a side handle, but other peoples reviews complained of the slide type switch. The speed is controlled by a dial, not the trigger.( in hindsight I might have bought this drill instead of the makita) 5 year warranty.
4) Milwaukee- Bad rep for weak geartrains.
5) Dewalt DW160- No reverse! Cannot back out a stuck bit!
All in all I am happy with the purchase. The heating up is something I will have to watch out for and I will update if it leads to tool failure

5 comments about Bessey K3.560 K-Body 60-Inch Parallel Jaw Bar Clamp.
- My experience with this order was great! Amazon shipped just as expected. The clamp set arrived in ready to use condition.
These clamps perform just as advertised. The wide base helps reduce marring of wood. Glue does not stick to the body. They are very powerful.
-
I bought this kit, and a few days later took advantage of a sale at another retailer offering free shipping and reduced prices for the Jorgensen Cabinetmaster line. First, the wimpy plastic piece at the end of the Bessey clamps is easily broken, in fact one arrived broken. Amazon's packing for shipping has definitely gone downhill over the past year or two. To Bessey's credit, I called them and they immediately overnighted four replacement tail pieces so I would have spares, at no charge. They told me at Bessey that they get a lot of calls from people who buy their clamps from Amazon because they aren't packed well, and the tiny plastic clips are frequently broken.
Anyway, when I went to glue up two frame and panel doors I had made, I found myself trying the Bessey's first, then trying the Jorgensen's, and ended up using the Jorgensens. They have larger clamping surface in both height and width(in fact they make the Bessey's look small when put side-by-side ), making setup of the door easier, for me at least, and I immediately saw that the serrated edges running the length of the bars of the Bessey's marked up my pre-painted center panels on contact (panels were pre-painted in order to avoid having an exposed panel edge if the panel contracted). On the other hand, the Jorgensen bars are smooth at the edges, and do not mar the surfaces they come in contact with; they did not mark up my panels. Fortunately I was able to sand the marks out and finish the glue-up.
The CabinetMasters have a much more substantial removeable tail piece; it actually attaches with a spring pin, and will not come off unless you want it to, and is a completely different design and appears built to last and not break.
The CabinetMasters are heavier, but I actually like that, they have a more stable feel during the setup process before tightening everything down.
Bottom line, the Bessey's are good clamps, but for value and design I like the CabinetMaster's by Jorgensen.
- Success seems to have sunk Bessey's rising star. Their clamps are now made of "imported material" (a creative way of avoiding having to write "Made in China"?) and assembled in the US, but even the most skillful surgeon can't save a man with faulty organs. Case in point--the plastic clamps that keep the sliding head from slipping off the bar are flimsy plastic, and mine already are breaking. Jorgensen, on the other hand, is more intelligently designed, using a cotter pin to hold the plastic stop in place. Jorgensen also has wider and longer clamping surfaces.
If you must have designer names, no one will talk you out of buying Bessey. On the other hand, if you want the best product for your dollar, look at Gross Stabil (made in Germany) or Jorgensen (made in the US).
- unless you wish to give the others away and buy these later.
nuf said.
- I am not new to Bessey K-Body clamps. I have over 2 dozens but as the saying goes, "you could never have too many clamps". I love the Bessey K-Body clamps. The 40" clamps I most recently purchased were used for building a table top. I love the even pressure created by these clamps. I do have 1 pair of the other manufactured parallel clamps but I truly enjoy the Bessey parallel clamps. I guess that's why I only have 1 pair.

5 comments about Dremel #675 Lawn Mower Blade Sharpener.
- I don't know about blades of single-blade push mowers, but the blades on my Deere L108 riding mower absolutely won't fit into this attachment. They are way too thick - you'd have to snap off the bottom portion of the attachment to even get the grinding wheel to be able to reach the blade.
So don't consider this for riding mower blades, at least the ones on a Deere.
- I'm sorry to see the other poor reviews. I have had this for years, and it's worked great every time. I have a push mower (Toro Super Recycler), single blade. The blade fits snugly into the plastic guide, and it sharpens quite well. No complaints. It saves me a lot of time, being able to sharpen myself, any time of season, as opposed to manually sharpening with a file, or taking somewhere to have it done.
- This tool loks great but it does not grind or sharpen as I thought it would.
- If you have a Dremel tool and any kind of metal tools with an edge then you need this. I was skeptical, but found it works really well. It takes a little while to get used to so I recommend to learn on the less important tools like a shovel you rarely use or don't care if you knick it.
The grinding stone can bur into you edge if you aren't careful. And it's kind of hard to turn around the angles of a blade. But this sucker will sharpen every tool you have from the lawnmower blade to the axe to the sling blade (some people call it a keiser blade).
- The housing may work on flatter blades but it binds on the curves in my mulching blade (from a Black and Decker electric mower). However, the stone worked fine freehand.

- I am a small time wood worker who turns pen and pencil on a lathe. Black & Decker drill press works great for drilling the center holes. It has a 2 1/4 stroke which allows its to drill a hole without repositioning the blanks. Easy to use and built very well for a small bench press....Very satisfied with this amazing product.
- The light is untested. Overall this machine has preformed exactly as I expected it to. It's nice and heavy so I didn't even worry about it tipping over as my initial uses where done without fastening down the unit. The instructions probably could have been clearer on a few things. I feel however that this is a fine drill press for small projects!

- It is what it is. A large set of impact sockets, reasonably priced, and made by a very reputable manufacturer.
- Impact sockets need to be more tough and resilient than regular sockets and these fill that requirement. What sets these apart from most impact sockets is their beautiful finish and precision machining.
- This kit from IR is really, really nice, it has everything you need to start if you made your own repairs, and if you own a shop since they are impact socket, you don't have to worry too much [...]
- It is a nice product for the price. The best deal on impact socket set. Everywhere in the stores and even on internet stores this set goes for 250$ and up, at amazon I got for under 200$ plus free shipping. Numbers are easy to read on sockets, nice caring case. I am happy with my purchase.
- This set is a great impact socket set. These are heavy duty sockets. They do not feel cheap in the slightest bit. Sockets are clear and easy to read. The case is an added bonus. Get this set you won't regret it.
