1 comments about Freud FT1100 Template Guide Adapter for Freud Routers.
- Item arrived as promised. I had to order this to fit the Freud Router based for using a template set I bought. The router base slot where this piece fits has at leaset 1mm of slop which means you must have a centering bit and because it is held in with screws if you bump it to hard you can knock it out of aligment. Also the router nor the adapter come with the screws or washers, so you'll have to go but them. Too much trouble. Ruin 1 bit and the money saved is gone. I like the Freud Router and it was priced right, but after a the template issue and now the router table, I would have purchased another brand router.

- These are nice. Note that the photo is from the "old style" box
(the new style box is three rows of extractors). Near as I can tell,
these are identical to the set sold by Snap-On for about $100.
The flutes are *sharp* (which is good to get a good grip without expanding
the hole). I did a quick test and a gentle tap with the end of a
screwdriver was all that was needed to get these to "grab".
Now, no extractor can remove a bolt that's so corroded that the head
shears off when you try to turn it, but for situations where the bolt
head "died" or broke off because you turned it too far, or for pipe
nipples and other tubes that have no exterior wrenching surface, these are the
perfect tool.
Note that these are relatively short, so if the bolt/nipple is more than
1/4" below the surface, these might be too short and you may need to use
a numbered spiral remover, but these have more grip because they have
many more splines than a spiral remover.
You can also use these to remove allen and Torx screws that have had their
sockets chewed away.

- Came quickly in the mail, the jigsaw is a lot stronger and sturdier than one I was using last year. It's strong and easy to work with. Very reliable.
- For a jigsaw at this price, I was pleasantly surprised when receiving it in the mail. The saw had a quick disconnect attachment for the blade which is a vast improvement over the old type that required an allen wrench or screwdiver to attach the blades. It cuts evenly and you can easily see the line that you want to cut. A great saw for the shade tree carpenter in a do-it-yourself workshop.
- It was delivered quickly, and works well. Possibly best for occasional use, which is what I wanted. The blades attach simply. The only criticism that I have is that the 90 degree blade position doesn't lock, but no problem so far.
- This is agreat little saw, I highly recommend it for anyone who requires the beef of a big saw in a small package.
- I think the saw is simple and afordable for a weekend hobbyist. My only complaint is that the saw was to come with three blades and a canvas carrying case. Of these items I recieved only one saw blade and the canvas bag was missing.

5 comments about Freud LU82M010 10-Inch 60 Tooth TCG Crosscutting and Ripping Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor.
- I find this blade to do an excellent job in my table saw. I have had many Freud blades in the blast and they have all been good.
- ....master of none. This blade has all the great aspects of a typical Freud blade - quality carbide, well built, anti-vibration slots, lifetime warranty, etc. It does alot of things reasonably well, but isn't particular strong in any regard, other than the TCG teeth are more durable than other grinds. Several of Freud's other general purpose blades crosscut better, rip more efficiently, have faster feedrates, and are generally more versatile. Being that it's full kerf, it also bogs the motor on my saw more than many others. I just can't find an application that gives this blade any advantages over others in my shop. I much prefer the LU86, LU88, and even the LU84.
- You're not going to believe this, but...... I bought this blade in 2004 on sale to replace the OEM blade that came on my Table Saw. This blade made perfectly smooth cuts on Oak, Cherry and Cedar without so much as a tooth mark: cross cut or rip cut. After about 2 years of casual use, it started to leave a fuzzy edge so I bought the WWII to replace it. I was not impressed- the WW blade left very subtle tooth marks (on the same saw and set up mind you) that were visible when holding the cut towards a light. Not drastic, but subtle. The WW required much more feed pressure and vibrated pretty bad when cutting.
I cleaned the pitch off the Freud with a brass brush and blade cleaner, and it was back to normal. Freud blade cut with less vibration and less feed pressure than the WWII. While I was not impressed with the $100bWWII, I can recommend this LU82M010 blade all day long. It is very impressive for a $30 blade. This is a Triple Chip blade according to the Freud catalog. I also notice that the picture of this blade does not show the laser cut anti-vibration slots my blade has (the long s-shaped cuts).
- Nice blade. As expected very smooth cut. The cost is that it removes a lot of wood. It performed as expected. This is a finishing blade and I might try a thinner blade with the same number of teeth as my next purchase. Some wood is very expensive.
- This blade replaced a 24 tooth exclusive rip blade (Freud also, in the same price range). I can tell no significant difference in the quality and effort needed to rip maple. And it doesn't splinter cross grain plywood badly. Seems a good value.
