  1. Product is OK. Works very well on dense shrubs but not too well on light bushes. I don't recommend using it from a ladder.

  2. Don't throw away your old hedge cutter yet: this unit leaves a lot to be desired; the concept is good, but it has a lot of design flaws; #1 it should have been cordless(battery operated), dragging a 100 ft. of electric cord around can be a pain, #2 it only operates well across the top of hedges; difficult cutting the sides plus the cuttings fall out, #3 th cuttings container fills up too fast, sometimes you can't even finish 1 schrub before you have to empty it, #4 it can't be used if hedges need to be cut at ground level

  3. The product does everything it was represented to do in the TV commercial. I believe the unit is underpowered and that care needs to be taken to keep from overheating the motor. The unit is well balanced for ease of operation. Because of its design it makes triming hedges, such as box wood, particularly easy to create long flat surfaces. It does not work very well on plantings such as yews or arvervita type plants, the main sticks in these are simply to much for the underpowered motor. I will use my unit until it fails and fail it will. I cannot recommend this product because it is not built to last. The design is excellant but the quality is just not there.

    Emil DeLuca

  4. But not recommended if your shrubs and bushes are over grown. I had to get out my other "messy" trimmer to get the job done. To take the height down on several shrubs would have taken forever without my old trimmer. However,I think the shrubs will be easy to maintain now with the Garden Groom. It does keep the majority of the clippings in the bag but there is still clean-up required around each shrub. I'd recommend it.

  5. I am a senior with arthritis and spinal problems and thought the Garden Groom would enable me to work in the garden. However, as I walk with a walker or canes, it was too heavy for me to use. I still think it would be a good help in the garden but not for me.

  1. I was apprehensive about buying this generator because they don't have a network of service centers... they tell you to take it to any small engine shop near you and contact them about charges under warranty. I called their cust svc and talked with them about the need for third party verification regarding parts needed and they assured me none was required.. I could fix it myself if I wanted.. just call them and tell them what I needed and they'd send it out. That seemed fair enough. It took a little over a week to get mine and it was delivered by USF Holland freight and arrived in pristine condition.. hats off to Holland. I got the liftgate delivery and he backed that big semi right up to my garage door...took his hand truck and set the small skid it was banded to in the center of my garage.. he required no help.. I never touched it until he was gone. These come packed in a cardboard carton and the packaging is well engineered.. thick foam all sides.. top and bottom.. all loose parts.. wheel kit.. etc.. in their own little nook in the foam. It is very heavy but you can get it assembled and off the skid working alone.. I did and I'm 62 yrs old. I pulled the front until it overhung the skid about 10" and assembled the wheel kit then pivoted one side of the rear until it overhung and assembled that strut then blocked the rear strut up with a 4x4 and pulled the skid out of the way and assembled the other strut. I filled it with good synthetic blend oil and put about a gallon of gas in it. I turned the fuel valve on.. it's located a few inches to the right of the choke handle. I pulled the choke handle all the way out and tried to start it with the key... the battery was totally dead. I pulled it out and put it on the charger and stuck the battery outa my lawn tractor in it and tried to start it. It was running almost before I could let go of the key. These Powermax units all have an idle control on them so there's no speed adjustments of any kind possible and none needed. It idles very fast.. all generators do.. they have to to produce current. It ran smooth with no fluctuating noticeable in engine speed. Next I took my voltmeter and checked the output on all the current-carrying poles on all the receptacles. I got a steady 119 volts everywhere. With a target of 120 I considered this to be excellent.. my house current won't hold that. The reason I bought this big unit in the first place was I had hoped it would start and run my big window air conditioner... it is huge.. 30k btu's. I plugged the extension cord I had bought into the L14-30 240v receptacle on the generator and ran it inside the house and plugged up the conversion cord I'd made going to the 6-30 plug on the air conditioner and turned it on. It fired right up with no bogging down and I never noticed the engine on the genny pick up at all. I let it run about a half hour... let the compressor on the air conditioner cycle off and on many times and watched the voltmeter on the genny. It never moved.. engine really never picked up speed either so this generator runs that big air conditioner without any strain on it at all.. I was VERY relieved. The other things I plan to run during an outage won't even approach the surge requirements of that big air conditioner so that issue was put to rest. It turned out that the battery in mine was no good.. wouldn't hold a charge even a half hour. I called MaxTool and told them and true to their word there was no hassle.. they sent me a brand new battery and shipped it FexEx at no charge. I wondered if maybe I had been sent a generator that had been sitting in inventory a year or so but no.. the data tag on it shows a MFG date of May 2007.. I bought it in late August so I got a brand new one.. just had a bad battery. I tried the pull start several times and it always starts on one pull. I go out about once every two weeks and start it and let it run awhile to get oil thru it good.. keep a maintenance trickle charger on it all the time. I can't speak to what it will do over time but outa the box it's everything it was promised to be.. I love it so far. I almost bought a Coleman but those units got horrible reviews.. rampant with quality issues.. leaking gas all over.. horrible vibration issues.. etc.. also they have no idle control and most no electric start and are overpriced terribly. I'm glad I bought this Powermax... couldn't be happier at this point.. good luck to you.

  2. Received Item as promised, great generator, easy to assemble, at 72 I had it ready to rock and roll in about 2 hour. Packaging was above average and with tailgate delivery I never had to touch the unit until after the driver left. Filled with oil and gas, turn on the gas valve and away it went. I back fed my main panel, hit the transfer switch and powered my whole house
with hardly any surge in the generator. Perfect for the backup I wanted. Used 50a 4 wire plug, 4/c #8 cord.

  3. I bought the 10000w pk generator to run a welder, plasma cutter and air compressor, at seperate times of course. I havent had any problems with it although I do only run it when I need to and not all the time. Over all I think it was a great investment.

  4. Unit (and company) performed as advertised. Great value and effortless purchase.

Common wisdom states that being prepared for a hurricane - by having a generator - keeps the storms away. Sure hope it works

  5. Nice machine. Started up immediately! Runs great. Very easy to assemble the few parts required. Great value for the $$$$$!!! Thanks!

  1. This would be a good product if they would stay on your feet. Unfortunately, the straps make a very poor connection to your shoe. As such, they come off after every one or two steps. After a while, they are just put on the shelf and not used.

  2. Cheap and does the job well. I have been using this product while doing stuff in my lawn and it erates well. Just strap it in your shoes and your set. You can see the difference of an aerated healthy lawn.

  3. The buckles on these things are garbage. DO NOT BUY.

One side broke while trying to put the shoe on for the first time. I started walking around on the lawn with the one shoe that didn't break, and the straps on that one kept loosening every 10 steps or so.. The "good" shoe 's buckle finally gave out on the 2nd tighten. So for 10 bucks, I got about 20 steps with one shoe.

Unless you plan on fashioning your own strap system, pass on these.

  4. I purchased them for working in garden which gets slippery, to help slow down my packing the dirt. They are too big... wish there were three or four sizes to allow me to have something a little more 'my foot size' rather than size 17 mens or so. I wish in a picture they had shown them ON a shoe clad foot. The product itself is well made for the price but it's not up to the reason I purchased them. And I have lost them in the patch. If you do not have any foot or ankle problems and a larger foot these would be great for the task, and, not trying to use them in a clayey soil. If you purchase be aware of the size of your new 'footprint' and that they can get stuck. I am not dissatisfied with the product itself, the money I paid was well worth it, the vendor was prompt about shipping, and I would deal with them again, but be warned that they may be awkward to use and hard to stay on, and if they 'glue down' you will have to leave them and get them up, off your feet. I have not tried them on lawn.

  5. It seemed like a great product. An easy way to aerate while mowing the lawn. The first time I put the sandals on, before stepping off the deck onto the lawn, the buckles on the left sandal broke. Good idea, poor construction.

  1. I gave this as a gift to my daughter who is going to college and it was an instant hit. She clipped all the plants in my house, transplanted a few with the trowels, then stored all the tools back in the molded case to travel to school. There she is growing a variety of seedlings and caring for her roommates plants. I choose the molded case version over the tote bag because I thought that with all the moves she will face in the next few years the case would keep everything together. The clippers are sharp and the tools sturdy enough for an amateur indoor gardener. I combined this gift with a house plant book and it was a success. The trowels would not be sturdy enough to use in hard outdoor soil but that is not the intented use of this product.

5 comments about Sunlawn 16-Inch Light Weight Manual Push Reel Mower #LMM40.
  1. I purchased another mower, the Sunlawn MM1 from Amazon. Out of the box, it seemed great, until it broke - on it's first trip around my lawn. (The adjustment arm casting broke). No problem, living in Colorado, where Sunlawn is located, I decided to call the manufacturer direct to resolve the issue. They were very friendly and said that they would send out a new part. Weeks passed, no part. This pattern repeated itself more than once. Me: "Maybe you had the wrong address." Them: "Oh, right, we'll send it out." Me: "I still haven't received my part." Them: "Let me look in back and call you back." Me: (several days later) "Hey, how 'bout that part." Them: "Right, just checking in back, we'll send that along right now." Deceptive? Ultimately, fed up, I called Amazon and had to return the mower (kudos to Amazon for their customer service!).

  2. I also purchased the 16 inch (MM-1) version of the Sunlawn reel mowers, in May 07 for a small, leveled yard. It worked, until is also broke this summer 08 = the metal loop connections that support the anchors to adjust height & tighten the blades are both cracked. I also tried contacting them via email and phone, on numerous occasions. Both do Not work! If ur looking for their contact info, check their main website or call Amazon. It's been over a month! Amazon ALSO can Not get through to them. Amazon is now further researching the situation, yet also taking longer than the estimated time provided- something must be wrong. Warning: I would not buy from this company, consider a different manufacturer of reel mowers, at this time.

  3. I bought an EM 2 electric reel mower this year. It worked great and I was very satisfied with it. Then the drive belt broke. That was three months ago. There are no spare parts. They don't return your calls and e-mails. I have caught the employee answering the phone only twice usually you get a recording. They have promised to ship parts but haven't. The EM was an expensive lawnmower and now is a useless piece of junk. If they are this bad with the higher up products I would be careful about any product support for any of their products.

  4. The product arrived and I performed the cutting height and blade alignment procedures as outlined in the shipped documentation. It cut the grass perfectly. This is a precison machine with close tolerances. It's a very good value.

  5. After two weeks of hunting the internet for reviews, finally decided on this Sunlawn. Shipped fast, and free. Pulled the machine out of the box, screwed together the sturdy handles, set it for 2 inches, and went at a nasty, wet, lumpy, scruffy, overgrown corner of the yard that had been uncut since the gas mower died. This baby chewed through the mess like a backseat full of ChubChubbs. Scratchy old stems? Gone. Thick, soppy grass? Pfft -- like a bayonet through a birthday cake. Instead of leaving wads of wet grass to rake up, the Sunlawn neatly scattered tiny chopped mulch over the surface. If it bogged down here and there, I just tipped it up a bit and it got on with the job. I got brutal with it, and it never quit. When done, brushed the blades clean, gave the gears a squirt of WD-40, put it to bed. Now -- I'm only 5' 6", 56 years old, and a woman with health problems and a bad back. It's light, easy to use, and I can lift it with one hand. The Sunlawn MORE than fulfilled expectations.

  1. The small size is perfect for watering houseplants, and twisting the spout so it curves back over the handle makes the can easy to store in a compact space. Markings on the can's body let you measure easily so you can use the right amount of fertilizer. Oddly, the blue and identical green watering cans have different prices. What's up with that?

  1. This power washer has been good for jobs around the house. My husband power washes everything in sight. He has become an obsessed power washer. That is ok, everything is clean and he is having fun doing it.

  2. The power washer arrived without a handle. I contacted customer support: as as of three weeks later...nothing. I will wait a little longer but expect to be returning this product as unsatisfactory.

  3. FAIP PowerWasher 1,600 PSI Electric Power Washer #PWS1600

The FAIP PowerWasher PWS1600 is a nice product. Assembling the unit consisted of attaching the handle and spray gun. In under five minutes you'll be ready to go do some cleaning.
I attacked my block patio deck first. I used an appropriate soap, using the FAIP on low pressure to apply the detergent. I waited five minutes then shifted to the turbo nozzle and quickly removed years of dirt and moss.
I cleaned my wood deck the next day. I cannot believe how this machine removes years of age in just seconds. I didn't use any cleaning products on the wood, I just used the turbo nozzle and watched the wood get revitalized.
I will wash my car tomorrow. I think I'm becoming addicted to power washing.
The FAIP PowerWasher PWS1600 is recommended and should give good results in typical around-the-house power washing use. The quality is fine and I expect it will work for years if taken care of. Note to those who don't read manuals: Do NOT try to adjust the turbo nozzle! It isn't adjustable. Use the adjustable wand if you need to regulate the PSI!

  4. JUNK- THE WAND LEAKED AFTER 30 DAYS. AN O-RING WENT BAD AFTER 45 DAYS. THE UNIT IS JUNK

  5. very good product works great but they could have made it better to hook hose to it ,it is way back in a hole that makes it hard to hook up.
