  1. My husband loves these gloves. He says they wear like iron. We had a little problem with one of the gloves and the company immediately sent a replacement. Very nice to do business with.

2 comments about Easy Heat RS-2 Roof De-Icer Control.
  1. I received ther easy heat control RS-2 and installed according to directions and the unit never worked. I had to unplug the roof cables from the RS-2 unit and plug directly into an outlet to get the roof cables to work. This unit was a dud.

  2. The RS-2 supports only 1200 watts max but it does not say that anywhere including the Easy Heat web site. The installation instructions mention this fact. Not enough current for me - I have 1400 watts.

The sensor detects water. It does not detect ice or snow. So the ice must already be melting at the sensor location before the de-icing cable is turned on. One hopes that that happens before the ice dam causes water entry into your house.

    I sent it back.

3 comments about Cobra CPI 2575 5000 Watt 12 Volt DC to 120 Volt AC Power Inverter.
  1. We have alot of experience with inverters, and this inverter is just average. It does produce quite a bit of power, but we seem unable to run both of our energy efficient freezers simulatneously (about 1.7 amps draw each freezer --200watts). Also, it does not come with cables to attach it to the batteries, so expect to buy those too. Lastly, and most importantly is the noise. The inverter cooling fan starts up at even the smallest load, and it is loud. As more load is applied the cooling fan ramps up louder and louder. It is not so loud as to hurt your ears, but it is loud enough to be annoying and to heard throughout whatever room it is in, so I recommend you buy the remote start if you choose to buy this unit. Locate it in a closet or shed so you don't have to listen to it.
We have had other inverts that cost much less, but of course only 1200 Watts of power, that had NONE of the shortcomings of this one (our old 1200 Watt model simulataneously ran both freezers, T.V. VCR, DVD player, speakers, and lights; it came with a connector cable, and its fan was quiet and only came on during high loads). The reason we purchased this one is because all the previous inverters, although quiet and efficient, eventually died, and we hoped that this one could handle the peak loads better.

  2. i have recently purchased the inverter 2575 by cobra. i installed it into my car and it runds great. i found the inverter to be smaller than expected and was able to install it into the dash of my car.

The instructions for the inverter are clear and precise, however i am still unsure it i can run it with the engine on. I also used the cables that were recommended 4000W for around $30.00 it was by far the cheapest around. Be careful when installing the inverter, i took almost the entire 10feet to get from the battery to the dash via the left hand front guard.

from an earlier "feedback" they said the inverter made quite abit of noise, i mesured it at around 55Db from one foot. which isn't all that loud but if you were running a fridge all the time and the inverter was close to you it would get annoying. I use it for a 800W microwave, it has plenty of power left o could run a tv and Wii system at the same time.

I recommend it for the price ($200.00)i felt it was a bargin, and they have a support phone number if you get stuck. having it for my ipod is also great.

  3. This inverter really helped out in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. It allowed me to save my freezer and refrigerator by essentially turning my car into a generator. Now I can tuck it into a box until I need it in 10 years without worry. If I did that to a generator, it would be difficult to start when I needed it, and it would need a much bigger box!

I have to question the 2500 Watt rating though. According to the inverter's digital display, my fridge took about 600 watts to start, and 300 to keep it running. According to the display, my freezer took 500 to start and 200 to keep it running. Add them up, and they would need between 500 watts and 1100 watts to run. This inverter could not reliably run both at once, even if I plugged the two appliances in 5 minutes apart. Most of the time, the freezer would not start. Occasionally, both would start, but the fridge light would flicker and both the fridge and freezer would buzz and click. While this was going on, the inverter's display said it was putting out around 800 watts, while the input voltage was between 12 and 13 volts. I was able to get around the problem by running the fridge for a while, then switching to the freezer, but based on what I saw, I'm not convinced this 2500 watt inverter can even put out 1000 watts.

Perhaps the 1500 watt or 1000 watt model would have done as well for much less money.

5 comments about Black & Decker 19-Inch Lawn Mower Replacement Blade #MB-850.
  1. Could not find this blade in retail. It is exactly what I wanted and needed. It was easy to identify and easier to acquire!!!

  2. This is a perfect match for the OEM blade that came with my Black & Decker electric lawn mower #MM850. Super quick and easy to install following the included instructions. Noticeable improvement in cutting performance, but then again I hadn't changed/sharpened my blade in 4 years (I have a smallish front/back yard).

  3. We thought that the lawn mower needed to be replaced, but the blade was just dull, dull, dull! After replacing the blade, the mower powered through the grass.

  4. The blade came in, instructions were included, it was easy to install and the lawn looks great

  5. I needed a curved mulch blade but this straight variety was the only kind offered.

4 comments about Fiskars Big Grip Trowel #7073.
  1. Finally a durable garden trowel for working the hard clay in my garden. I have bent/broken any number of trowels working the garden. This trowel is up to the task of being a work horse in the garden - sturdy and dependable - and easy to grip.

  2. I've had my share of trowels over the years, and my main complaint was that they were basically all too small. Sometimes you just need a bigger shovel, to either dig wider or deeper, and the 'regular' ones just don't cut it. Enter Fiskars Big Grip. I saw this in Target and grabbed it immediately; I knew it was simply something I had to have, being a hard core gardener. I haven't had a job that this has been too small for yet, always planting and moving plants. It wouldn't be too handy if needing to move or plant something large, when a full size shovel is necessary, but every gardening tool set needs this trowel. Well made & sturdy, definitely one of my best gardening supply purchases...

  3. Nice, heavy duty, & very handy tool. We use it a lot. This one won't bend or break. Probably the last one you will ever need to buy.

  4. Was very disappointed to see that the tag said "CA toxic warning...this product can cause cancer". WHAT??? So I called Fiskars and they said that they no longer have to put that warning on their labels, that everything is fine, and that Amazon must have old stock. I still am not happy about this as it was to be a stocking stuffer for my gardening daughter. I'd say....buy this at your own risk, regardless of what Fiskar's says. As far as the size ..... yes, it's probably a better, more useful tool than most.

  1. So far product has been great, they forgot to send the backpack straps, I called Ryobi and they in fact sent 2 sets.

  2. This is the first "reconditioned" product I have purchased from Amazon and, so far, am very pleased. I was a bit nervous to order a "recon", but went to Home Depot and checked out the product first hand to be sure it was what I wanted. I finally decided (right or wrong) that being a "recon" Ryobi would check it out throughly before putting it back on the market. Except for some obvious "used" marks and minor scratches, the unit was delivered clean as new. I have only had occasion to use the unit two or three times since receiving it in September, 2008. Has always started easily and ran well. My only complaint would be the lack of good instructions. After reading the owners manual, my wife and I needed several hours to figure out how to properly put the parts together and get the unit to fit around us. There is vitually no help in how to put together or adjust the straps that hold the unit on you. Thus the 4 star rating. Good luck.

  3. Blower runs great but is delivered loose in a box (no packaging)& has very poor assembly instruction. Starts easy and runs well. Great value

  4. This reel is in mint condition, and runs like new, hope to have many years of use from this reel. I will be using this reel in Alaska fishing for big halibut in 700 plus feet of water, also in the Gulf of Mexico for yellowfin tuna!

  5. This product is exactly as advertised. It runs great and moves a lot of leaves - fast. Very comfortable and quiet. Has cut my leaf blowing task in half timewise.

5 comments about Mice Cube 4 Pk - Reusable Humane Mouse Trap.
  1. We got an unwanted visitor in the kitchen. I didn't want to kill him with the brutal stuff like glue traps. That is the most horrendous thing I can imagine. So I got 5 of these Mice Cubes. I set a them with peanut butter and a cracker, put the scent of PB on the doors, placed them around the kitchen at 7pm. We went out for dinner, back by 8pm, open the kitchen drawer where he had been hanging out and there he is, in the Mice Cube. A tiny little mouse. Amazing. Took him down to the local soccer field where he can live in the forest blocks away from the nearest human dwelling and set him free in the bushes.

Mice Cubes are the Oskar Schindlers of rodent prevention. They will save thousands of lives, I can't recommend them enough. Relocate the critters and don't use killing traps... there is enough suffering in this world. Just don't forget to check the traps, you WILL catch your mouse and so must remember to get him out before he dies in there.

  2. I purchased this item from a chain store. I've had it down for at least 4 months and haven't caught anything yet. The sticky pads worked better than this.

  3. A few years ago I used a couple of these cubes and quickly caught the mouse that had been cleaning up the crumbs in my kitchen. I took him about a half mile away and easily emptied him out. Problem was the poor little thing had worked up such a sweat he was positively soaking wet. It was a cold snowy day here in the mountains, and he ran at the warmest thing he could see... me! Looked right up at me and tried to run up and into my warm boot. I'm sure he was frozen dead within an hour. But that wasn't quite as bad as the time I used a conventional trap. Late at night I discovered a little mouse in my kitchen and threw him a bit of cheese. He didn't seem afraid of me, and gobbled it up. So I said "ha, gonna getcha now." So then I put the cheese in a conventional trap, set it on the floor and he walked right up like, "thank you Mommy, that was good, and I'll eat this one, too". It was killed instantly and I felt horrible. It was soft and silky, and very dead. Why did I have to take it's life? So I will try this cube again in summer. Else I will have to really harden my heart to use something that kills. The present mice actually run and fight and growl in my bedroom wall, so I don't feel so kindly towards them!

  4. This trap worked so well for us that it would have a new mouse in it typically within the hour of setting the empty box out. We frequently caught more than one mouse in it at a time. Kinda gross, but better than having them run all over the laundry room. I never had a problem with mice NOT entering the trap or escaping once they'd gotten in. I think our biggest problem was releasing them too close to our property. I suspect some may have been coming right back in. The best, though, was when my daughter ran upstairs one morning to tell us, "Mom, we caught another mouse...and she had babies IN the trap!" Yep, Mama mouse entered the cozy trap to deliver 6 pink, squirming baby mice. Better than behind my freezer....

  5. We had a mouse in our basement after some construction, and did not want to kill the little fellow. I ordered these traps and when they arrived I set one up immediately, using a smear of peanut butter as bait. The next morning I was pleased to find the mouse inside, and was able to place the trap inside a larger box and drive him to the local forest preserve. It was easy to flip the trap and release the mouse, without coming into contact with him as well.

  1. For the price this was an excellent product. It is exactly as described and well designed. Our last cover blew away and this has stayed secure through some blustery days.

  2. I was looking for an economical way to protect my lawn tractor. I have no storage building and needed a cover from my pecan trees and rain of course. This cover had been on the mower for about 10 days when a severe thunder storm came thru with hail and 50 mph winds. Needless to say. I'm writing this because this cover never moved. Wasn't tied down or anything. Lawn tractor wasn't even wet. So. Yes. I would recommend this cover to anyone.

  3. This was a great deal. Made from a medium weight tan fabric similar to a car cover. Cover fit my riding lawn mower and was exactly what I needed. Probably not waterproof, but keeps the mower clean. I use it under a carport. For the money, I don't think you will find a better deal.

  4. Bought the cover a week ago and was one of the best purchases I made. Went through one wind storm and chased garbage can and the like, but the cover never moved. Only wish the one with team logo's had a Packer one. Nice product hope it last along time.

  1. If you go through a lot of gardening gloves every summer like I do, this is a great value. Seven pairs of gloves for $15! They have cloth backs and wrist band, and vinyl-coated work area. This particular product offering fits a small hand and includes a pleasant assortment of colors and patterns. The gloves go on and come off easily. The fingers are roomy enough. I like knowing I can pull weeds and have back-up in case the puppy runs off and buries my gloves in the woods again!
