5 comments about Factory Reconditioned Expand-It Edger Attachment For String Trimmers #ZR15518.
  1. The edger works great! It is a real improvement over using a string trimmer as an edger.

  2. This attachment is the second most useful tool in grooming my yard. And so well priced when reconditioned!

Like some reviews said, I agree that the first trip is painful. But when used regularly, this tool makes the edge look great! I've even taken it to other places in the yard such as flower beds to re-establish the border, and later to "dig-in" for 3" composite edging.

There is an adjustment setting that allows you to move the blade deeper from the guide bar, but it really doesn't doo much. For me, it's either all the way up or all the way down. That is, 1.5" or just even. The guide bar requires you to place it on the left of the edge, so the blade cuts to the right. The only place the is an issue for me is on one side of the driveway where it comes right to the house. With that in mind, it's pretty simple to figure out a "one-way" path for your yard.

This reconditioned item came with a hanging cap that covers the open end when not on the weedeater/trimmer. This specific one has a loop on it that also allows you to hang it, and a hole for the detent and ball to fit in properly. I can't find them anywhere else and the other attachments I've purchased simply come with rubberized caps that are easy to lose. If you get one of those caps, hold on to it! It's gold!

For as little as this cost, it has done an amazing amount of making my yard look good! And now it's so easy.

  3. This Homelite Expand-It Edger Attachment was not compatible with my Troy-Bilt 4-cycle string trimmer, in spite of being advertised as a "universal" attachment. The flexible drive shaft was too short to mate securely with the drive nut in the Troy-Bilt unit, resulting in the cutting blade's stopping under any sort of load. After conferring with Homelite's customer service department, I returned the attachment to Amazon.

I cannot speak for how well the attachment might work with other brands of string trimmers.

  4. This attachment takes a little bit of practice to get the hang of it. But coupled with the Ryobi trimmer it really gets the job done. Very satisfied.

  5. This edger works okay, but it doesn't really have the power to get started into a new groove very well. After it gets going it produces a nice finish line on the lawn edge.

  1. I got this for my husband who is about to deploy to iraq. He has it for his ipod classic, digital camera, and camcorder. It is perfect because he is not taking a laptop with him and it charges everything the computer would, very pleased that it is compatible with everything we wanted.

  2. Dose what it proclaims. Great MP3 player charger when you can't or don't want to use computer. Buy this and don't get ripped off by Sony,Creative,et.al.

  3. The product worked great. It charged all my electronics, including my zune. Which people seem to have trouble charging with non-proprietary wall chargers. So great buy.

  4. Bought this to use with my iPod touch while on the road. The adapter is extremely small and light, and the fold-out plug makes the footprint even smaller. In many regards, it's more of a pain to carry the iPod cable than this adapter! Product worked as advertised to charge up the iPod. No negatives whatsoever.

  5. Saw this item in a previous review and decided to give it a try. Works great. It's compact and much less expensive than recommended option. Not having to use my computer to charge my MP3 is a big time saver. Highly recommended.

  1. this is a great product at a good price and the delivery was super fast. Thanks again

  2. When I saw this item and read the 2 prior, more glowing reviews I was thrilled as we were looking for one of these. Sadly, once it arrived it quickly became evident that this item was not built with quality or durability in mind. Without even assembling the item you get the sense it's very cheaply made. All the supplied hardware is plastic, and most all the places where 2 parts meet it's plastic meeting plastic (save the thin metal handles). Brushes are big plastic "combs". The catcher bag is thin tarp material and is very small- if you use this for leaf pickup unless your yard is 10x10 if you have even a couple of trees you will be emptying this every few steps. When I unpacked it the bag already had unstitched or torn in the corners. My sense is that after a few uses this thing will be useless-one crack in the plastic where there is stress under use and it will be at the curb with the rest of the trash. Save the money-even for light duty, I would not recommend. We sent ours back today. First item I have ever sent back to Amazon. Maybe one day I will find an old used one from the 70s at a garage sale-one that's made of metal and canvas with a LARGE catcher that will stand up to the task. Gave it 2 stars instead of one since it may actually pick items up-though we never tried.

  3. Vendor is excellent and product was delivered fast. I rated this product 4 stars because the catcher is make out of plastic and I'll need to keep patching it over time. However, it works great. After trimming my shrubs, I rake the cutting out on to mulch and grass and this thing does a good job of picking everything up without a lot of effort. Then I simply dump the bag of debre into a bag for curbside pickup.

  4. Great product for the money.
Works best on short grass. Gets harder to push as the grass gets higher.

  5. This item is what I was looking for and though it is all plastic it should hold up for several years if it's stored properly. It doesn't pick up all the leaves but does a good enough job that I can mow the remaining ones with the grass. It helped me tremendously since I was not able to keep up with the leaves this year and they all fell before I had a chance to get to them. I never could have mowed them up and raking them and picking them up would have been quite hard on the back. It's not like the old ones I remember seeing growing up but it works and is easy to use. Thank you for selling it with free shipping.

5 comments about Black & Decker 18 Volt Cordless Power Scrubber with 10-Foot Reach #NPS018.
  1. Only has a 10' reach if your arms are 4', but it sure beats a handheld brush! Actual length is ~6 feet. Used it to wash down vinyl siding and worked O.K. except electrical connector between the two halves could be better--putting any pressure on brush flexed the scrubber and would lose power intermittently. Not very powerful--brush bogged down with slightest pressure and battery only lasted ~20-30 minutes. Also needs better lock for locking angle of the brush. Only came with 8" auto-brush. Other brushes available for around $10-$18. Overall, I would still buy again until someone offers a scrubber that better addresses the above problems.

  2. Purchased this item as recommended by tomchoice, and a 8" hard scrub for use on my kitchen concrete floor. Must say that the hard scrub is not really that hard, so I used it with conjunction with Comet and the result is very satisfactory. It still is a slow process, but I do not need to be scrubbing on my knees, so I am happy. Will try out the 4" hard scrub which seems like it has thicker bristles from the picture. Will also buy a second one for my parents to clean their balcony. The soft brush it came with is good for autos, but I have no use as I bring my car to car washes. Maybe I can use it for floor polishing.

  3. Overall a good product and nicely made. However, I bought two of these and neither one properly locks securely. The design supposedly allows for the wash head to either swivel freely or lock in place. When applying even moderate pressure the swivel head moves to its 90 degree position because the locking screw does not tighten properly! I plan to call the manufacturer and request they sent me a replacement. However, I suspect it may just be a poor design incapable of being fixed.

  4. I bought this to scrub the oil stains the garage and the organic black growth between the bricks outside. Three immediate comments, (i) it is not very powerfull at all. If you push down to really scrub it will quickly stall out. Second, (ii) the power scrubber (black 8" disk sold separately) is still very soft. I have purchased the 4" to see if it is any more abrasive. Third, (iii) as stated by another review the length is not that convient to scrub the floor, and there is no handle to hold it. You do get the hang of keeping it on the dirty spots after a few minutes, but B&D needs to make the an 18" extention so you can stand up straight and make a handle like there other power tools so you can keep it straight better.
Lastly, the "lock" didn't lock very well at all. If you push on, and not very hard, it will still pivot.
I would not buy this if you need to "scrub" something, but if you just want a gentle brushing it is OK.
I have many other 18V B&D tools and REALLY like the chain saw, trimmer, and even the garden tiller. But this items did not meet my expectations.
    Rob

  5. I found this very useful at the pool, to brush away algae up to 4-5 ft. below the water line. It's quick and effective. The original brush was a bit too soft though so we had to purchase the 'deck' brush which is perfect for our fiberglass pool. By the way, there's enough juice in the battery for at least TWO pool cleaning cycles.

I can't see how this could perform any serious 'power-scrubbing' jobs. It's great for car-washing and pool-cleaning. I would not have very high expectations if this was intended for cleaning a deck.

  1. Two problems-1. cutter strings break easily on small twigs(I know, take the twigs out but that's a pain and 2.holes at bottom should be bigger, they clog too easily

    Otherwise it works satisfactorily.

  2. i bought this in hopes of shredding straw.... nope, it won't do it. guess i'll keep looking.

  3. A dandy little machine that my wife can operate in her high heels. Does a great job making mulch quickley from leaves or straw.

  4. I shouldn't have believed the ad copy that said it would shred paper. Maybe it does a better job on leaves. I'm a doctor, who has years of old records that need to be shredded. I'd hoped to add them to my compost pile.

The instructions were adequate, not exceptional. I put in just a few papers to try it out. The machine was quite noisy, as others have mentioned. If I'd gone through the amount of paper I planned to, I would have needed protection for my ears, since it would have been hours at that deafening volume.

One of the self-locking nuts that attaches the motor to the bottom part of the housing came off in the first *90 seconds*. Mind you, this ISN'T one of the nuts that the user puts on, but is one of the nuts that is installed at the factory.

However, I was still game to try, until it began snowing on my son and me. As many shreds of paper flew up through the funnel and on the sides of the unit from the can as actually landed in the bottom of the can.

It was utterly useless for my need, which was one of the uses listed in the ad copy. If I thought it was safe (remembering the loose factory-installed nut) I might hang on to it until the fall, and try it on leaves. As it is, I'll be trying to figure out how to send it back.

  5. This was the fastest shipping on a product ever!
Great working condition and arrived at my home super fast. Was shipped the day I ordered.

  1. I've been using this for several years for severe flea problems, I'd rather use this than chemicals or diatomaceous earth. I spray it everywhere-wood floors, upholstered furniture, on the rugs, animal sleeping spots, outside in the yard. It does make the floors slippery till it dries and after several uses can leave a sticky residue on linoleum or tile. No problem, just wash it off. Doesn't stain fabric (so far). BUT, I haven't seen it really kill fleas. I mean, I've put live fleas right in the stuff and they squirm around for ages and jump away if they can. Still, it definitely keeps the flea population down. Not as effective as a chemical spray, but it does work and isn't toxic. It says on the bottle not to use it directly on your pet, but I have, a bit diluted with water, with no ill effects. It doesn't make my cats drool and the dog doesn't mind it at all. It smells like oranges which may give some people a headache (my son complains about the smell). Overall, a good product that has it's place. I'll continue to use it. Oh, buy the gallon size and get a spray bottle to fill.

  2. I completely sprayed every nook and crany of my shop inside and out with the product almost 2 weeks ago, have'nt seen any new bugs and before I sprayed I cleaned up any termite dirt trails and they have'nt repaired them so far.

  3. This stuff works great ... I had a major problem with ants after having landscaping done ... they were outside and eventually worked their way inside and nothing was working ... I found out about Orange Guard and ordered it and within two days they were all gone ... its amazing!!!

5 comments about SpringStar - Flour and Pantry Moth Trap.
  1. I bought a 2-pack of these sticky traps and they worked pretty well but not by following the advice on the package. I had them close to my pantry but would always see the insidious flutterers cruising around my TV in the evening. So I put one on the fireplace mantle about 6 feet from there. There is 50 of those suckers stuck in it now, one month later. The one trap left by the pantry has 10.

  2. I bought several since my cupboards and closet had become unbearable and my fridge was getting full with all my pantry stuff. So I set up 4 traps and by the time I finished setting them all up I already had 2 of them in there.
So far it's been a month and all 4 traps are filled with dead moths! I'll probably buy a few more just to make sure.
    Great product!

  3. I got some of these when the Contech brand went out of stock - boy was I disappointed - they didn't catch anything!!! after a month or so they each only have a couple of moths in them... My Contech traps had to be replaced because they were completely covered with moths... I finally pulled the pheromones out of the contech traps and added them to these traps and now they're catching more... totally inferior product by comparison. Save yourself the hassle and get the Contech ones to start with.

  4. I bought this product thinking it would solve my problem with these moths and it has not caught one moth yet!!!! it is a joke and yet I am still looking for a product to ride my home of these annoying bugs!!!

  5. These were a waste of money. I've used Contech before and within days they were filled with moths. I've had numerous strips of this brand up for 3 weeks now and caught all of 2 moths.
