  1. Battery operated lawn tools are the only way to go. They are easy to start and easy to operate. I would not have any thing else. Battery powered is the way to go. GO BATTERY POWER!

  2. Batteries are terrible ..lucky to get 5 minutes use per battery after first few uses..Beware!

  3. This set works excellent for small yards, power of weed eater and trimmer are excellent, the blower is fine but not as powerful. And the best, there is no need for handling gas. You can not match this price if purchase separately, and you would not get the storage rack. If your yard is small to medium, this tool set is perfect.

  4. All 3 tools are exactly what I needed. My favorite is the blower. One of the reviewers commented that the blower was more like a toy - I totally disagree. I have fall leaves that are everywhere - deck, carport, front yard, back yard, long winding driveway....it used to take me hours to rake and sweep. It now takes me 30 minutes to do it all.

I have no problem with the batteries. They last long enough for what I need to do - and if one is wearing down, I plug that one back in and grab another one to finish the job.

The hedge trimmer and weed whacker are great as well. Again, what used to take me half a Saturday has been reduced to less than 2 hours. The cordless capability is absolutely fantastic - no cords or gas - and the noise level is not even an issue. The tools are lightweight and extremely easy to use.

This lawncare center is one of the best deals out there. I couldn't be happier.

  5. I have owned this Black and Decker combo for appriximately 5 years now. I use all three tools on a regular basis. They are still running as if new to this day! I have had to replace the batteries (all three) once. I leave the batteries plugged in all the time. It does not seem to affect their performance or life. My lawn is approximately 100 feet by 150 feet and I maintain it meticuously-which means I edge and wheedwack every week. No CORDS! No GAS!! I love it!!

5 comments about Black & Decker Lawn Hog 12 Amp 19-Inch Electric Mulching Mower with Rear Bag #MM875.
  1. This mower is great! It is easy to push. The mower cuts through the grass, even when it is a little long and neglected, with no trouble. It is quieter than a gas mower, easier to maneuver and you don't have to put up with the hassle of the smell and filling of a gas mower. There are many lawn height adjustments with this mower and it has the benefit of being a mulching mower as well! Another positive thing about this mower is when you put the bag on to catch the clippings, when he grass is too long to want to use it as a mulching mower, the bag does not keep falling off, like on many other lawn mowers I have had!

  2. I have owned a Black & Decker electric mower since 1980 and it was completely problem free for all these years. It was used every week during cutting season and was great! I hit a tree root and bent the blade shaft and if it was not for my carelessness I probably would have used it another 20 years. Black & Decker makes a darn good electric mower. I have cut my grass with this Lawn Hog mower several times and it lives up to my expectations. The only disappointment I have with the new mower is that there is not a side discharge. I am sure I'll get used to this though. I would definitely recommend this mower. It is very quite and easy to use.

  3. the mower works good , easy to push, does not make much noise and above all mulches very well

  4. I am pleased with my new 19" Black & Decker Lawn Hog. It does a good job with none of the hassles of a gasoline engine mower. I prefer dealing with the cord to worrying about keeping the battery charged or it's life span (plus it's cheaper than a battery operated). Too bad the handle doesn't flip over, which helps keep the cord on the correct side, but it's light, so turning to go the other way is easy.

  5. My family loves this lawn mower. It is so easy to use, And cuts the grass really close like I want it to be. The mulching bag makes clean up a breeze. No more raking. I LOVE IT.

  1. I bought it as a gift because we have one and find it very useful.

  2. Works as advertised - just got a big one tonight - but the face could be larger making it easier to swat fast flying things. Face size is why I didn't give it the full 5 star treatment.

  3. We have horses, and use fry predators, fly traps, and natural fly sprays to good effect. Still, some always survive to get into the house, and this is the only 100% effective way to kill any type of insect known to man-- flying or crawling, instantly (and in Arizona we've got some whoppers). For best results, don't use as a swatter (you'll miss, and you'll break it). For flying insects, you can zap them in mid-air, but this takes an expert user (e.g., me :-). Instead, wait until they land then (a) note the direction of the brightest light source (b) slowly lower the zapper over the bug perpendicular to the light so that no shadows move over the bug's eyes (c) when you get on top of the bug, it will fly up into the grid and ZAP they are done. I've killed flys, swarms of hornets, spiders, huge beetles, and bees with this. There is no bug that it cannot kill instantly, and all with a 9V battery. We keep a half-dozen on hand (two for killing any bug, and the rest for gifts to friends that clamor for one themselves ;-)

  4. I purchased this product, opened the package, inserted the batteries, and NADA . . . NOTHING . . . DID NOT WORK AT ALL! So typical of the junk that comes in from China and other foreign countries. I returned this product to Amazon.com a number of weeks ago and as yet have not seen any credit issued to my card for the return of this product.

  5. We've owned several models of this type of bug zapper over the years. All but the oldest have safety screens to keep you from touching the electric wires. Alas, the safety screens also keep BUGS from touching the electric wires. Which is why I went nuts and bought several of this particular model. We are still working out the coordination required to press two buttons at once when swinging at an offending insect, a feature not mentioned in the product description. But it's worth it to hear that satisfying POP! as an annoying fly gets zapped.
I have not yet found out if this model is capable of the "perfect storm" moment when under the right conditions a fly explodes in a flash of blue flame. That and the two-button control is why I refrained from the five-star rating.

  1. product works very well. bought it as a gift for my parents. they have an apple tree and every year it's a pain to try and get the apples off the tree before fall/winter. we can fit about 5-8 apples in the basket before lowering it to the ground. we used a standard rake pole and then taped a 2x2 on the end of the pole for about 15' of length. it works perfect.

  2. Great product - great price. I bought two and they worked very well in harvesting our apple trees up to 30' high.

  3. I got what I expected and it came promptly. I have confidence in this seller.

  4. Well made and a cheap price, well worth the money. All you have to do is add your own pole which can be almost anything, and then clamp it on with the provided clamp.

  5. This fruit picker is larger than most others available. I can pick 2 or 3 of the larger Crispin apples with out bruising or dropping. Good product at a good price

  1. I ordered this lawnmower after my husband saw a recommendation for it in Men's Health. We love that it's ENERGY STAR-rated and is good for the environment. It cuts great, and we don't have to fool around with gas or anything like that. Our lawn looks terrific, and my husband has said the mower is easy to use and relatively lightweight. And, he's able to get through our lawn (about 0.20 acres) on one charge.

Amazon also has the best price. I searched many other stores, and didn't see any place with a price as good as what I found online.

    Highly recommend this mower!

  2. Say goodbye to pulling that damn cord and destroying the environment with noise and pollution. $400 was a lot of money for me, but this product has made me really happy - totally worth it in the time and frustration it saves. Well constructed and very reliable. Extremely easy to use.

  3. Black & Decker 19-Inch 24-Volt Cordless Electric Mulching Lawn Mower #CMM1200
Very pleased with product. Easy unpacking and setup. Outstanding height adjustment for cutting and use, and rear bag works well. Cuts reasonably well although not quite as even a cut as with a gas power mower. However, the advantages of the cordless electric easily outweigh the liabilities of gas, oil, and emissions!!

  4. Bought 2 yrs ago, zero probs. Only have 2300 SF lawn but I can do the yard 2-3 times before charging which would equal an above average lawn. Does a brilliant job and I will never use a gas mower (or corded again).

  5. Excellent product, easy set up. We are not sure how well it will pick up the maple leaves. But no longer need to mess with gas and oil.

5 comments about Black & Decker 18-Volt Cordless Electric 12-Inch Grass Hog String Trimmer/Edger #NST2018.
  1. I purchased this about one month ago and have used it twice. It works really well on trimming down grass at the edge of my driveway and garden. I haven't used it to trim anything thicker than that. It was a little heavy and the day after using it my arms were aching but that is probably my fault for being out of shape!

  2. I have a 60 x 100 lot. It took 4 batteries (2 from trimmer + 2 from my power tools) to trim my lot. I know my batteries are good, so this thing does take a lot of power. When the auto feed works and at full battery power, the trimmer does a good job. Otherwise, it requires patience. At lease it's better than dragging an electrical cord around.

  3. It was represented as having 9 hours of power. I don't know if they were counting 1 or both batteries. Either way, it ran about 1 hour per battery.

  4. First let me say, this trimmer is not going to replace your gas trimmer by any means.

For quick, light duty jobs, the trimmer handled itself very well. I completed my trimming chores on my 1/2 acre yard on one fully charged battery. The trimmer handled grass and thin-stemmed weeds around trees, the foundation, downspouts, concrete patio edge, and uneven brick trim with ease. Another plus the trimmer is light weight. Your arms and back won't ache using and carrying the trimmer around the yard.

The trimming line fed out as advertised and it was a big time-saver not to have to interupt my work session to manually feed the line out like I would two or three times when using my gas trimmer. One word of caution, as the battery weakens and if you bog the trimmer head down in heavy grass, there is an increased risk of line breakage without the new line feeding out properly. I experienced no problem but don't force the trimmer and keep the batteries fully charged.

As far as the noise level goes, the trimmer was much quieter than my gas trimmer. I mean no one in the house was rushing to close their window as I trimmed outside their room.

I was very pleased with how well the trimmer worked as an edger. After completing my trimming chores and without replacing the battery, I gave the trimming head a quick

  5. The Black & decker Cordless Trimmer is great to have. I used the
product 6 times since I got and did better than one I have before.
Now I go places where I did go before when I electric cord trimmer.
I would rcommend this product everyone even people who have gas trimmer.
Less depend on gasoline and more electric.

  1. Black & Decker 18-Volt Cordless Electric Pole Chain Saw, 8-Inch Bar #NPP2018..
Saw was easy to use and battery life was good. had no problems through limbs up to around saucer size. nice storage case, if cutting alot suggest second battery to keep on hand. My only complaint was no self oiling system, which was no problem but you had to remember to keep oil can handy and lube often.

  2. This is a great tool, more than I expected. The saw has plenty of power for it's intended use. The weight is easily managed and the reach is great. I use this saw to cut downed limbs rather than fire up my gas chain saw.

  3. I have only used this with just the handle and chain sections, and it seemed to do very well, cutting 2" diameter limbs. The only two things I came across so far, was that you have to manually oil the chain, and the two sections seem to come a little loose from vibration, but never stopped running or fell apart.

  4. Works as advertised. I was quite surprised at the power considering it was cordless, but I was cutting limbs over 4" with no problem.

  5. This is a light-duty tool, but as such, it's terrific. I live in south Texas, where our ubiquitous brush is designed by Satan. You can't get close to it or it'll hurt you, but it grows up in fence lines and has to be cleaned out somehow. The Black and Decker pole saw is an ideal tool for this, better than a gas-powered brush cutter, which I also have. You can stick it way inside a clump of catclaw, for instance, saw the damn stuff off, and then pull it out and burn it. I've also used it to prune live oak trees, nearly hard as iron, and it does a decent job of that, too. You don't need a ladder (dangerous!), and it's true the battery doesn't last long, but after pruning enough in fifteen minutes to fill the bed of a pickup twice, that's all I want to do anyway. If I were younger and tougher I'd get two or three batteries and spend a whole morning or afternoon with it. It's an excellent tool and a good buy, in my opinion.

  1. This zapper works great however it is made from the cheapest most brittle plastic imaginable. I have tried different ones and they all are. I ordered five of these. The first time I swung at a fly I clipped the edge of the counter and the zapper shatered into about six pieces. My answer for this is to run a piece of duct tape (split lengthwise for fit) around the entire racket BEFORE you use it. This seems to help the cheap material absorb some of the shock from minor unintended contact however nothing will save this thing if you actually wack it against something.

  2. Have a long history loving 'Racket Zappers' in general. This one:

    1. A bit smaller than other brands (head is smaller and handle is shorter). I like it better being slightly smaller and therefore more able to quickly maneuver.

    2. NO ZAP SOUND! Love the fact that this one does not make any zap or noise at all. The ones that make a loud Zap really scare my dog.

    3. The extra protective screen/Zapping Area does seem not as strong and might let some insects get by/through.

    4. Feels more sturdy and less likely to break.

ALL IN ALL = Get the Racket Zapper but if you want a zapping sound or a more powerful electric charge you may want to get one of the other almost identical versions of this product for sale also on amazon for almost the same price. I personally will always go back and buy this one in the future.

  3. First, I didn't know these existed. Then I read about them on Amazon and didn't believe the hype but ordered one anyway. It arrived, a bug zoomed by and ZAP I was able to experience the innate and visceral pleasure of watching the critter disappear from my list of annoyances. Then came the flies. Watching them spark and pop is just more pleasure than a man gets to experience in life. What a joy and a wonderful product. Zap away my friends!

  4. I saw a product like this on vacation, which worked splendidly, and I had to have one. This is not it. I carefully chose one that took D batteries, so it would be a good size, and more powerful, but I received a smaller version that takes double A's. It is useless. Do not bother with it.

  5. Much too fragile. Quit working after a slight bump on desk. Seems to me a device used to swat flying insects should be constructed well enough to withstand reasonable strike force.

  1. This little device can replace all of those specialty adapters for your portable game machines, cell phones, etc. When taking a trip recently my son was able to pacify himself with his laptop and gameboy while staying connected to this handly little device. With two connections you can have more than one device connected simultaneously.

It works exactly as advertised. This is a little know secret and if more widely know would replace all of those other mobile adapters that individually cost as much as this device alone.

It is easy to install, not very large and very little noise. The only noticeable noise was when it heated up there was some fan noise but not loud enough to be disturbing.

  2. I purchased this for an RV trip. We didn't want to run the loud generator while we were driving, but did want access to some electronics like TV and video games. The unit performed great. It has a toggle switch for on/off as well as an LED light to indicate its on. I don't understand the technical details of how this works, but every so often it would run h-o-t, so keep it somewhere well ventilated and away from hands/feet.

  3. This 400 watter suits me well with its dual 3-prong AC outlets, fan equipped, aluminum body, and reasonable price.

  4. I got the Xantrex for a family trip to Virginia, and it worked exactly as advertised. The kids ran two laptops off of it for the entire trip, and never had a problem. The cooling fan did come on once for a few minutes, and, as others have noted, the fan is audible if you listen for it, but no louder than the road noise and far from problematic. Besides, it only happened once in about 36 hours of use, and then only for about three minutes. The unit is really well made and well worth the money.

  5. So far so good. Bought it to use in our camper on a 9 inch TV that has a TV box hooked up to it. Doesn't make noise, takes up minimal space and the picture is great. We haven't had the occasion to hook two things in to it yet but so far so good. Working as it should. Thanks
