1. The Homelite chainsaw is not a good buy! If you want to have chain oil leaking like a dyke all over everything...I complained about the first one and Amazon was nice enough to send a 2nd.(Amazon does not have a return policy for chainsaws of this nature) The 2nd also leak worst. I don't recommend this chainsaw! As it was first advertised with chainsaw case and was not is how it all started.



2. I received no case, no T-wrench, just reconditioned chainsaw, bar, chain, and a manual. A few scratches, only cosmetic. Appears to come with one year warranty. If I had to do it over again, I would buy a new one, which includes a case, T-wrench, manual, and two year warranty. Runs alright, dies if you hit full throttle too quickly. Started easily right out of box, three or four pulls. Shipped quickly, arrived in Homelite heavy cardboard box securely wrapped.



3. shipped within 4-5 days, somewhat loud compared to past saws and quit working after about 1 tank of gas/oil.3-4 times used then will barely pull for start. I will invest in an Echo saw and not a rebuild next time.



4. Just like others say here, oil leaks a lot. The idle button sticks on mine and when you take your finger completely off the button, it dies. AND YOU CAN'T RETURN IT TO AMAZON for a refund! Their return rules state that you can't ship back any 'gas-powered item', which makes some sense. Don't buy this saw.



5. I had intended to rerurn this item after using it but found it was not returnable. It wont run when warm and the chain oiler does not work. That explains why the bar was discolored when I received it. I had not understood that items with gasoline are not returnable. The repair facilities are not very conveniently located to me.

1. This unit works by making a lot of noise. I haven't really see any cat around my fish pond Yet, but it is still early. It would be nice if you could turn off the sond such as the Owl and still have the ultrasonic feature work seperately. However if you turn off the switch it turns off the complete unit.



2. It rained and it stopped working. It was not sitting in water either. Would not order one.

1. Very usefull saw to have around for medium to light pruning. Saw is well made and the blade is very sharp.Very pleased with this product. Looking to buy larger and finer theeth saw of sam type.

1. Within 20 minutes of first use the trimmer locked up. I took off the drive cover and removed the blades, and found the drive cam chewed up. The drive cam looked far too undersized to have a reasonable life or cut 3/4" branches as advertised. There appears to be only two authorized repair shops in California, so now I have to figure out how to get it fixed under warranty. Maybe I just put it on the shelf and go back to using a pole trimmer.



2. I had the same problem. This is due to a design deficiency.
   
   I bought a very similar trimmer two years ago, that never have this problem, but the motor finally gave up after two years of pretty heavy use. Satisfied with the use I got out of that one, I decided to buy another one to replace it.
   
   Very disappointed that the cam locked up, only about 5 minutes into use. When I compared the new unit side by side with my old unit, the cause was obvious. Previous designs used a backing plate for the cam to keep it in the slot. The new design only used a small nut and washer to hold the cam in place, no backing plate. This allows the cam to slip and lock up. Bad engineering design.
   
   Since it's a design deficiency, I'm going to follow up with the manufacturer and try to get the problem fixed. If you are effected, please keep checking back here, and I'll let you know what I find out.
   
   ***UPDATE***
   Remmington is aware of the problem, and is shipping me a replacement unit, that has been redesigned, at no cost. They wanted a reciept, but a bank statement is sufficent. Contact them directly at 800-626-2237.



3. Remington Pole Hedge Trimmer works very well. The pole extends your reach so that I no longer need a ladder when trimming large bushes.



4. I had several negative issues with this hedge trimmer(I returned it) The motor at the end of the shaft made it heavy, unwieldy and tiring to work with. The stated capability to cut 3/4 inch branches was a serious overstatement and it cut only when you could approach the material from a 90' angle. Any other approach would shred the twigs and bind up the blades.
   A redesign and better materials would be necessary before I would try this tool again.



5. I purchased the Remington Model AT3017B pole trimmer over 1 year ago and didn't have any problems until recently, when I experienced the "cam disengaging from the cutter blade assembly" problem.I called a NEW DESA Customer Service number (1-800-626-2237) and mentioned my problem. Expecting some long line of "Red Tape" to get the trimmer repaired, I was told I would get a new, vastly improved model in a few days. The Rep didn't even want my sales receipt,or return of my trimmer! For those with all the problems cited in the reviews - call and get your replacement.

   Save your bucks and spend some money on a real parallel str edge.
   this is a cheap one



2. This board it's great if you don't have enough room in your house to setup a desk to work on architectural design or drafting, since they can fold and be stored away. I recently purchased one of these boards (30X42) inches, but I found out that it was too big for what I need it, so I ended up returning it and buying a small one. The only thing I didn't like was, that the straight Edge it's bolted to the board and sometimes its a little difficult to aligned the paper.
