  1. having wasted money on cheaper pruners before, it was about time to buy a decent set.

The lower handle doesn't open like with a regular 'scissor' style - it rolls down the palm of the hand. To close regular pruners, you almost have to 'curl' your fingers in, this pruner allows you to 'fold' your fingers in at the knuckle.

try this to see what i mean -
with your hand palm up, thumb straight out to the side. Fold your fingers at the knuckle so they cover your palm. That's how these pruners cut.

now, try using a regular pair of pruners or scissors to see the difference.

After half a garden of pruning with these, it feels a LOT better than it did with other pruners.

If you've not got the strongest hands in the world, this pruner is for you - it allows you to use the force of your whole hand at the same time not just a few fingers. This same action makes using the pruner while wearing gloves a lot easier too.

  2. these work very well-easy on the hands- I just bought the toro ratcheting pruners for about $11 and they work as good or even better. both good products.

  3. Bypass are being used to cut anything " green" within it's cutting capability, and because when you squeeze and cut, the handle you pull up also rotates to reduce figer fatigue, you might lose grip when wearing gloves, so remember to use this line of pruner bare handed, cuts great under normal posture, also with palm down position, not so when palm facing up, so you switching hands to do the job, and that's when you will find out the power gear handle only rotates clockwise, and the design is not useful in your left hand, so left hand user beware.

  1. I own both wood and aluminum and prefer the wood handle to the plastic over aluminum handle for my Wolf-Garten tools.

  1. UPDATE 2: The "Quick Adjustment" bar tensioner and chain tension adjustment knob & wheel are too fragile to hold up my friends. I hoped that this saw would be built tougher than some said. But I was wrong. The tediousness of the bar tensioner, combined with the fragility of the chain tension ring, simply do NOT hold up to very light usage. Very disappointing. At this point I honestly cannot recommend this "neat idea" Quick Adjustment system to anyone. It might have looked good in the Research & Development laboratory, but friends, it will not hold up to being used as a chain saw in your backyard. A pity.

UPDATE: Still a great saw. Get accustomed to adjusting the BAR tension (center adjustment) versus the chain tension (outer ring). Great idea, a little tricky, but much better than having to carry around a tool. Great idea McCulloch!

I like the McCulloch anti-vibration system; it's very smooth. The Quick-Adjust Chain & Bar system is also very easy to manage, adjusts fast & holds tightly. The outer ring adjusts the chain tension (counter-clockwise for looser, clockwise for tighter), and the inner (blue) adjustment ring adjusts the chain bar tension.

I like it. Very good, smooth to operate, quiet, easy to start, and everything fits together very well. No leaking fuel or bar oil. Tight. And even though the entire system is wrapped in plastic, most of it is rigid and is high quality.

Lots of safety features including a nice Chain Brake (for a kickback) system (forward of the left grip) that is desingned very well. The safety, throttle trigger and right hand controls all feel solid and well though out; feels solid and balanced in only one hand (but don't do that). Also has a spark suppressor that catches very small particles. And I would suggest that the anti-vibration system - combined with the safety gear (all-in-one helmet, mesh visor, and ear muff protection) is a system that will keep you working safely & unfatigued while you're doing the man stuff.

Nice job by McCulloch. This is a good system.

Additionally, the helmet that ships inside the box is very good. It has an adjustable fit knob, a flip-up/down metal mesh protective visor, and a nice set of ear muffs that also flip up or down (as you prefer). McCulloch brand as well. Good product.

I'm very pleased with this excellent product [...]

Superb buy. Every city boy should have one of these. My colleagues at the firehouse thought it was a solid & well build saw. What else can you say?

    Cheers,
    Tim

  2. The saw operates fantastically well... once you get it started. When pulling the starter rope, DO NOT PULL IT OUT ALL THE WAY!! It will not rewind.
Just give it short pulls and it will work fine. Went through a cord without having to sharpen it. The chain tensioner is a blessing with no bolts to mess with.

  3. Very quick delivery, the McCulloch starts easily and so far, is perfect for the home plot that has too many pine trees and needs to be thinned out. Good purchase - nice goin' to me. The safety hat is also excellent, especially for the kids that play "William Tell" with their Nerf Arrow Gun.

  1. This item produces a good dust cloud, but way too much product leaks out from the air intake. Consequently, you get rotenone, or whatever, all over the place, and wastes most of the dust.

  2. This duster breaks up Sevin in to a fine mist making the product go much father than any other duster.

  3. Duster: Garden Hand Held DesignDoes a great job spreading insecticide, etc evenly and forceably. Reaches top or bottem of plants.

  4. HOLDS ALOT OF DIATOMACEOUS EARTH BUT DOES NOT DELIVER THE POWDER WELL.IT COMES OUT TO THINLY. FIND A BETTER TOOL FOR POWDER DELIVERY.

  1. I just bought a townhouse and installed new sod. The yard is not very large therefore I needed a mower that was compact to use and store. I researched all the various 13" mowers and decided to buy this brand. The price on Amazon was the lowest available online.
I received the mower in a timely manner. The only negative thing I would say about it, is that when it arrived the outer shipping box was intact but the interior box which held the actual mower was completely shredded and destroyed. Luckily the contents were all included.
The assembly was EXTREMELY easy. All pieces fit exactly as instructions described. I did not have any of the problems with the screws that other reviewers have described. This mower works extremely well. My lawn was very tall and wet when we first used the mower and it cut the lawn with easy. I would definitely recommend this mower!!

  2. Really enjoy this machine. It is great on small lawns, light and easy to use and cleaning is a snap.

  3. The height adjustment setting is not sufficient. Even on the highest setting the mower cuts too low, thereby, damaging the lawn.

  4. The mower is the right size for my lawn.
Assembly went well except for adjusting the wheels.
Don't know who suggested to put the wheels on the mower
at the plant but they made a very large mistake.
Leave them off, that way people can easily adjust them to their liking
    Thank You

  5. didnt work for us.

made wholes in the grass, didnt cut it even, really bad with corners.

    regret getting it.
