  1. These additional angle plates allow clamping a frame of more than four corners. When used with the Bessey strap clamp, the self adjusting angle plates provide a user friendly method to clamp larger objects as well.
Only negative is there is no feature on the clamp or the angle plates that provide easy storage when not in use.

5 comments about Allied 66525 61-Piece Ratcheting Screwdriver Set with Window Storage Case.
  1. I've had no problems at all with this set. I've used it numerous times since I received it last month, and I couldn't be happier. What's great about it is the pivoting shank (neck?) on the thing that allows you to get into places other screwdrivers can't. I've used pivoting screwdrivers before, but this one actually locks in at a 45-degree angle, and won't slip in high torque situations the way others will. I've used this on my cars where I can attach the sockets to it and turn nuts in places my regular ratchet can't reach.

I've seriously reefed on this thing with as much force as I could muster (I'm not a small guy) when tightening the valve adjustment nut for the number three cylinder on my 1967 VW Van (which I love) and the thing held up under my best effort. I'm not saying it's unbreakable, because nothing is. I'm sure I could stick this thing in my vise put all my weight on sideways and it would break, but why would I do that. I paid for this thing! I found the bits and sockets to be pretty good. Sure they'll wear out a little faster than a professional quality socket set, and if you're a pro mechanic who goes at it 8 hours a day 5 days a week you probably won't even be looking at this set. I use it for a couple hours every weekend on my old air-cooled car collection (these VWs need a lot of attention, but they're worth it)and it's held up just fine under my abuse. This quickly went from being an impulse buy addition to my already extensive toolset, to being the most regularly used tool in the box. Unlike my other ratchet sets, this one has a case with a labeled spot for every bit and socket, so they don't all end up floating around my toolbox. Dig it!

  2. It was broken in the box. The screwdriver only operates in one direction.
Which is fine, unless you want to use it!
My second bad experience with Allied.... Do me wrong once shame on you, Do me wrong twice shame on me....WONT BE A THIRD TIME ....

  3. I've had this exact set for about 2 years now and it comes in so handy. I've used the screwdriver several times with no trouble. It has all the bits you could ever use. Unlike some other sets, it's very easy to put the parts back in the spot they belong. Yet the case is compact and stores easily. I'm going to buy another.

  4. This is a real piece of crap. I think it was 20 bucks when I ordered it.

Well after a few jobs it decided to finally give out.
The ball that keeps the bits secured to the screwdriver came out so I can no longer use any bits and hope that they stay put.

Also, just as a flaw of design... the lock to keep the head in the various swiveled angles comes loose with about 2 turns of the screwdriver. It becomes very annoying to have to re-tighten it over and over again while tightening one screw.

Do yourself a favor, don't look for bargains on tools. At the least don't look for bargain tools that have too many moving parts.

  5. I buy it from Venezuela... It's an excellent set. Very useful and helpful. I'm very conformed with it.

  1. Nifty little tool for small crafts projects that do not require a 12" square. The Stanley "yellow" line seems to have a decent reputation and so I gave it a try. For my weekend DIY use, I can't justify spending 6-7 times just for a combination square. I checked and mine is square. The yellow finish is definitely unique, but I am afraid the paint will be easily scratched with moderate use.

  2. Pocket sized means fewer uncomfortable moments.( & it's always handy. )
7" is big enough for most work.
    well made- silver blade

  3. I use this square everyday, they last about 4-5 years, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another, a good quality tool.

2 comments about Fiskars 9485 7097 Data Comm Electricians Snip.
  1. I have owned two sets of these scissors and I can say they past the test. They cut through a bundle 25 pair of phone cables like a hot knife through butter. I have even sliced though a 1 inch thick fiber 12 pair, Kevlar and all. I have demonstrated to non-believers how well this snips work by chopping right though penny's. The small notches on the top of the blade are handy for striping small gauge wire. helps not needing to carry multiple tools. If you do get these be sure to hold them correctly! They are very awkward trying to operate them with two fingers. The elongated handle rests in your palm. You middle or ring finger slides into the other side of the handle. You can generate HUGE torque using them this way so even when they are dull they work great.

  2. This is not merely a pair of scissors. It's a wire cutter and stripper, tin snips, garden shears, and whatever else you can think of... and they'll still cut paper after doing these heavy duty chores. I am a communications contractor and use these on a daily basis, cutting all kinds of stuff, abusing them by scissor standards for sure, and they are simply amazing. I have literally cut sheet metal with these. They live in my tool pouch and I take them everywhere.

For you telecom guys out there who insist the chromed Klein snips are the best tool because the old timers still use them, think again. Technology has come a long way since those got popular. These fiskars are every bit as tough and miles ahead in comfort and leverage. Plus they cut better.

This is THE tool to have for the handy all-around cutting tool. GET IT.

2 comments about Irwin 394002 5-Piece 5/16-Inch to 3/4-Inch and 8-Millimeter to 19-Millimeter Fastener Removal Set.
  1. I had a stripped 10mm bolt on the crankshaft pulley of my Volvo that I needed to remove to get the pulley off. The bolt was fine (unstripped) initially but was sitting a little too tight on the pulley. Trying out a hand wrench and then finally an impact wrench caused the bolt head to completely round off. Before deciding on taking the car to the mechanic, I thought I would give these bolt extractors a try. I thought they would never work but honestly the trust in the name Irwin made me give it a shot. I have used Irwin products before with complete satisfaction. So I got these extractors and put them to test. I used an impact wrench to drive the extractor and the recalcitrant founded-off bolt came right off in matter of few seconds. It was a relief to see the bolt come out as I tried many other methods all of which have failed. This bolt extractor did the job. The extractor must have bitten into the bolt too hard; now to separate the bolt from it is a different story.

  2. I have used these several times since I bought them. They have got me out of a jam every time. They work great!
