  1. It seems to be a first quality item, with good sharp blades that keep their edge for a good while.

  2. I purchased this swiss army knife a little over two years ago and I still use it to this day.

It is built very solidly and the blades come sharp as you could imagine. The quality of each blade is top notch and this knife was well worth the money I paid for it. I bought one for my brother, a frequent utility knife buyer and he loves it also.

Victorinox makes nothing but quality products and it shows in knives like this.

  1. Since I purchased a set of Miter Clamps I have never looked back. They are an absolute must for any body doing base board, crown moulding shoe moulding etc. They are perfect for finished work, just glue and clamp no nails necessary. I have recommended Miter Clamps to anybody I know in the same scope of work as me. From my recommendations to the rest of the people in my company several have purchased the clamps and have found them a hugh success. There are other brands on the market, but trust me "Ulmia 560-3250 miter Clamp" are the best!

  2. I did quite a bit of research looking for a clamping system for picture frames. Time and again I came back to Ulmia and decided to give them a try. They look good but simply do not work on the woods I tested them on: maple, oak, pine, purple heart and cherry. The springs have nail-sharp points on them that, when clamped with the lightest pressure I could and still hold the mitre, punched varying holes and gouges in the wood. I even tried one on the nice wooden box they were shipped in and it dug into the side. (Did the return department notice that?)

I'm not sure what application one would use where gouging the wood is an acceptable part of clamping. For me, the Ulmia design is "Duh!" What do you get when you press sharp, hardened steel into wood? I should have figured that one out before wasting the time buying and returning it.

  3. This miter clamp set is a one of a kind gettup that is well suited for it's duty. It does the job as it's supposed to and aids it setting the perfect miter. The only thing I would like to see are a set of clamps that are closer together for smaller miters on base mouldings. All in all, this set is well worth the money if you plan on doing a large project.

  4. The clamps are great for gluing miters. Ulmia also offers a finger style clamp which is great for smaller tasks and requires no spreader. To the reviewer that was so upset about the points. In the past if I have to clamp something that I don't want holes in I use a sacrificial skin (door skin or MDF) on the clamping surface. I have used them for years and couldn't imagine not having them.

  5. Nice for large trim jobs and crown returns, and if you angle the clip with the grain you can swell the dents out of bright work.

  1. I thought this would be a great idea, but it is a piece of junk. The tape is flimsy and uncoated, so the markings on the first few feet have rubbed off. I tried to continue using it just as a voice recorder, but it soon stopped working; the replay was too faint to hear. So, I spent 8 bucks (!) to replace the four watch batteries it uses. It still didn't work. As for replacing the blade, I don't even know where I could get a replacement from. So, I am out about thirty bucks, and I am very disappointed. Thirty bucks is a lot to pay for an archery target...

  2. This tape lasted approx. 2-3 weeks before it was history. I got it for my cut man for X-mas as a joke (well- not really!) and it didnot last till February. The end of the tape broke quickly and on cold mornings the voice recorder did not work at all. Bad investment-my current Stanley 30' Max Steel is about 9 months old and still strong as ever.

  3. With its voice recording capability, it's great to "take notes" without writing. It doesn't record for very long, but it's usually enough for a series of measurements. The recording quality is pretty good. It's very handy. I'm surprised it's not sold in more places. It makes a terrific gift. Be careful not to get sand into it though, or the speaker will rattle.

I've had mine for several years and it's still going strong. How often have you had to measure something and it's " just a little more than 25 and 5/16"? With this, when you're standing at the saw and can't remember exactly, your own voice can verify so you can "measure twice and cut once."

  4. In two words- cheap junk.

The first time it was used to measure something the hook at the end of the tape broke off and the tape coiled up inside the housing.

  5. I bought 2 and haven't had any problems. This tape measure outdoes the others in my book.

  1. Comes fully assembled. Made from quality materials with better than average workmanship. Appears to be identical to DeWalt tripod that sells for almost twice the price.

  2. The tripod is built very well. I wasn't expecting the quality to be so good, but it is!

  3. I looked around for a couple of weeks with no luck in finding the right deal till I found this. Great deal and fast shipping
