1. Sears has rebranded these for years, and you can still get them there, but this is the original manufacturer version. These are nothing short of terrific as a replacement for most adjustable wrench or even lockjaw applications.
   
   True story: me and my brother are installing those pedestals for a washer/drier combo, and he had out his adjustable wrench, turning it maybe 1/16 of a revolution each time. I swapped out the adjustable for a Robogrip, he's tripling his speed because he doesn't have to fumble for a good grab with the adjustable wrench opening: he just grips and goes.
   
   The difference between these and other pliers is the locking action. Once you clamp on with the jaws, they are as solid as anything you can use short of Vise-Grips. The adjustment happens automatically, and you get as much contact surface as possible as a result. Other pliers have to machine the laws with an opening and you hope you get solid purchase on the nut, but maybe not. Finally, if the nut is stripped, with these you have a good shot at backing it off, because the jaws will align parallel to the nut, again giving you as much contact surface as possible.
   
   They never die, they've lasted eight years easily with almost no wear. I love 'em, and my brother's getting a set this week. Essential toolbox item.

1. I have used this laser level outside for landscape work. It's great for leveling stone walls and laying out small ponds. I use a camera tripod and have no trouble seeing the laser dot during daylight. It's a solid piece of equipment and you can't beat the price.



2. This is an outstanding laser level. It has its own levelling device and the laser beam is still sharp in the daylight and after fifty feet.

1. I have been in the graphic arts and printing industry for 20 years. This is the ONLY ruler that I would EVER want to use! Have to keep a close eye on it. Have to engrave my name on it and even then it keeps disappearing. WELL worth $25 even though that may seem like a lot to spend on a ruler.
   Buy one for your shop and see what ruler everyone wants to borrow. Thin is the key with this ruler. You can get right down there next to what you are measuring and be EXACT.

2. This is the most basic measuring device found in the pocket of any tool and die maker. Starrett continues to make durable and practical tools. The C604R-12 Steel Rule is an accurate measuring devise made from spring tempered steel that is machine divided and color filled for years of use. It reads in 8ths, 16ths, 32nds and 64ths. This is the 6 inch steel rule of my choice that I have been using for over 27 years.

1. The knife slides inside the shaft of the axe which is great. It locks in with magnetism. It's a great little back pack axe and both hold a really nice edge. I walked around the woods all hunting season and never lost the knife. The gator grip makes it 100% better when conditions are wet.



2. I purchased this little gem of a hand axe a few months ago and have had a wonderful time chopping stuff in my yard. The size is good for my wife and the thing is wickedly sharp. It holds the edge quite well and with my accusharp sharpener you can really get the razor edge. Awesome! I'm going to get the little bit bigger one as well. Go Gerber.



3. My buddy's been packing this for a while and the standard joke is, when someone comments on the funny little hatchet he yells "YOU MAKIN' FUN OF MY HATCHET!" and pulls the knife from the handle and waves it menacingly. The rest of the joke is when you try to chop wood with it. The head is pretty heavy to make up for a lack of momentum with that short handle but it still falls far short of a standard hatchet and I estimate its chopping effectiveness is at most 1/3 of a full size hatchet. Maybe it'd be useful for butchering game and fish but if you need to do regular hatchet stuff get a regular hatchet.



4. This combo axe and knife was for a grandson that does a lot of backpacking in the Rockies. It is light and handy for that purpose. Now his dad can turn over the prep of kindling to him..!
