5 comments about Stanley Consumer Storage 014725R 25 Removable Compartment Professional Organizer.
- Happy to say that I've purchased about 30 of these storage trays over the last 2 years for helping organize all the bolts, nuts, screws, washers, and other small items in my garage/workshop. These are MUCH BETTER than typical storage trays that adjust by inserting little divider panels (that always come loose or fall out and your stuff gets all mixed up again). Stanley's various box-shaped bins (small, med, large) are great for mixing and matching to conserve space. There are small notches in the bottom of the tray to prevent the bins from sliding around, and the lid fits snugly to keep your junk in place when carrying the tray. Plus each bin lifts out so I can carry only the nuts and bolts I need for the job and leave the entire organizer tray behind. The trays also stack nicely on top of each other with little notches that, again, prevent them from sliding around while stacked. The designers at Stanley did a nice job on these products.
- I took my old multi plastic-drawer storage unit to the Good Will. I got so tired of pulling out a dozen small drawers looking for the right type of screw or whatever.
This storage unit is great because it allows me to organize a bunch of small junk in a way that is efficient. I can 'see' each compartment of obscure and various items that I may only use once in a great while. Being able to pull out each individual section is very handy also. These are nice because you can stack them one atop the other to save space on your workbench, and since they are flat, usable space remains on top of the stack.
One concern is that the hinges appear to be the first likely fail point. Kinda cheaply made.
- i've tried organizers before with little sucess.coffee cans and old coffee cups did the job quite well. I purchased three stanley 014725r 25 organizers and was very pleased. The items actually stay in the bin where you put them. The bins are also removable so you can take different items to point of use, this aviods the enevatable "pick-up a million screw game".
It is so well built and very sturdy that I ordered 6 more for to give to other tradesman so they dont "misplace" mine onto their trucks.
- Very good organizer. Overall a fair price for a good product. Wish it was available in metal
- I bought this case probably six months or so ago, and haven't used it since. I'd bought it in the hopes of using it as an odds and ends storage container for nails, screws, bolts, etc. It works well for the larger items, but the minute you hold it as intended, the smaller pieces fall through the cracks into the other bins, defeating the purpose of the separate bins.
While it's still a usable tote, I found the Plano brand (looks like a lunchbox) to be better suited for what I needed. The difference between the two being Plano's method of carrying the smaller bits. Rather than have the cartons tipped on their side, they're always laying flat. The stanley organizing case works against itself.
I'll probably end up using it for larger items that are still small enough to fit into the separate bins, but be advised that the case is not suited to carrying small nails and parts.

5 comments about Felco Classic Pruner For Smaller Hands #F-6.
- Bought for my wife who has small hands. These are quality pruners and worth their price.
- I have quite small hands, and many aspects of gardening are sometimes challenging because of this. I appreciate Felco's consideration in providing these very comfortable and extremely efficient tools to us tiny-handed consumers.
- I finally purchased these pruners after reading about them. They are trully the best I have ever used. Worth the money.
- Gulped at the price but bought them anyway...glad I did, they are amazing and worth every penny.
- I purchased this for my girlfriend who is a florist. She is constantly raving about them, and is upset when she brings it home to garden and forgets to take it back to work.

5 comments about Chamberlain PIR Sensor for The Reporter Wireless Alert System.
- I've had this unit for about a year and it works very well to detect folks coming up my long driveway. I'm still on my first set of used batteries. My only problem is false alarms from deer at night and other "little forest creatures". I've decided to get a second transmitter and place it further up the drive. It's unlikely that a deer would trip both alerts, at least not as quickly as a car would, so only the proper sequence of alerts will indicate a real visitor. Either alert alone is just another deer.
- Hasn't worked a single time since I put it by the driveway. I have had this make alarm before and they worked fine but not this one. I called the manufacturer and they told me there could be no trees, bushes, had to be able to throw a ball from the receiver to the transmitter for it to operate properly. The sales info says it is good up to 900 feet, I don't know anyone that can throw a ball 900 feet, that's 3 football fields. Their reason was they were forced to shorten the antenna by some government regulation. Reguardless it doesn't work!
- This is an additional sensor for our security system. It detects if someone is near our front porch and sounds an alarm.
- it doesn't work if the sensor is more than 10 feet away from the base. I am returning it!
- I expected this unit to work because of the claims that the manufacturer made. I also liked the idea that it is made in the USA. I even purchased an extra sensor. I set one sensor about 80 feet away from the receiver and it does not work. I tried one sensor about 20 feet from the receiver and it works when it feels like working. I just wasted good money on this junk. I can't recommend that anyone should purchase this product. It's a waste of money and time!

5 comments about Lux ELV1 Programmable Thermostat For Radiant Heat.
- Installed the ELV1 thermostat and it works great. Easy to program and set. Calling for more heat is just a push of a button and it goes back to origional settings on the next cycle. Did the installation myself. I had some questions about the number of wires in the wall versus the two on the thermostat but an electrician friend and Bob's do-it-yourself on line page helped a lot. Basically if you have four wires you install this on one leg and wire the other together. Please see a good diagram to understand this. It is not difficult but a visual helps to understand. Good info on line if you search "wiring".
- I have in floor heat and a standard thermostat has too much temperature lag between on and off cycles. The room would get too warm and then too cold. This thermostat will keep the temperature at the exact degree set.
- Purchased 6 of these for the house we recently bought. It has ceiling heat, and the old dielectric thermostats were terrible. The Lux ELV1 has already made a huge difference. No more wild temperature swings. Still waiting for the first electric bill, but don't expect anywhere near the $400-$500 bills the previous owners payed last winter.
- Great thermostat for line voltage electric heaters. A snap to install. Easy to program and it's very accurate. Highly recommend!
- This is an all around great product. I wish I had known about it before this. Finally, an accurate control for electric baseboard heat. In these times of financial difficulties, this thermostat is the answer to lowering your electric heating bills. An accurate, programmable, thermostat for your electric baseboard heat.
This thermostat is all around user friendly from installation through programming. This is the first thermostat I have ever changed and got it right the first time around. The only thing I had to do that wasn't included with this thermostat was look up the wiring diagram for the old thermostat. The most important thing about the installation is make sure you turn off all power to the heater before you remove the old thermostat. The rest is a simple matter of following instructions. Have the thermostat changed and programmed in less than an hour. Mine has been working like a champ for a couple of weeks now. I plan to buy another one for my master bathroom.

5 comments about Sony 900MHz BabyCall Nursery Monitor with 2 Receivers.
- These monitors work well for inside and outside use since they are portable and have excellent range. The voice activated option is nice as well since there is no need to listen to static when there is no noise coming from out baby.
- AFTER TRYING FISHER-PRICE, GRACO AND ANGELCARE, I SETTLED FOR SONY. ALL HAVE AN ARRAY OF FEATURES AND PLUS POINTS, BUT THE EASE OF USE, PRICE ETC. OF SONY AND ITS QUALITY OUT-SHINES OTHER.
- Bought this to replace our aging (3yo) analog The First Years monitor but the range on the Sony is significantly less than our old monitor. Sound quality is good as are the rechargeable batteries. However, the range as well as the poor quality of the clip to attach to clothing would make me not recommend this monitor.
- These monitors are crystal clear. We have a large house and no matter how far away we are, we can still hear our baby. We bought these to replace our old monitors becuase they kept saying "out of range" or having tons of static and interference when we were on the other side of the house. With these monitors, I had to keep going upstairs at first to make sure they were working because they were so quiet. No interference with phones, other monitors, etc. I highly recommend this product.
- I spent a lot of time trying to find the best monitor to suit our needs as upcoming new parents and I'm so pleased I chose this one. Great range, easy to use and good price. Charge in receivers lasts ages. Interference is not a problem at all. Can even make it out to the mailbox and still hear what's going on in the house!

3 comments about The Classic Magnifying Glass with Powerful 5X Magnification - Metal Frame.
- This magnifying glass is extremely helpful to my 85 yr. old father when he reads his newspapers!! Very easy to handle as well
- More powerful than one you can purchase in the store. My husband likes it because it has a glass lens, and not plastic.
- I bought this product to replace a 2X magnifying glass my mother was using to help her read and that had too little magnifying power. The supposedly 5X magnifying glass made things no larger than the 2X magnifying glass; nor does the package anywhere state that the product has 5X power. I don't believe it does. I feel cheated and defrauded.

5 comments about Ridgid 25643 SeeSnake Micro Inspection Camera.
- Great Product.
To the guy that said the picture is upsidedown- twist the snake so it is not.
- I received this product as a gift. It worked great for a few minutes. Then, the screen started intermittently showing solid-blue alternating with static. New batteries didn't solve the problem.
I now have to ship the product back to the manufacturer at my expense. They estimate that it will be repaired within two weeks.
This may very well be an isolated incident, but I thought I would at least add my data point to the din.
- I'd been eying inspection cameras for some time and finally pulled the trigger on this model as the price was reasonable and, as somebody else has already mentioned, it included a set of small attachments. So far, I've used it while retro-fitting an exhaust fan into a bathroom that previously had none. Suffice it to say that there is no way I could have fished all the required Romex without this device. The hook attachment is indispensable for such a task. I was able to catch my fish tape at a 90 degree angle through a floor joist and double top plate even with a fair amount of existing Romex to get in the way.
The camera can become a little shaky and difficult to maneuver when the gooseneck is fully extended, but I can't see how this could be avoided without adding expensive directional control. My biggest disappointment was the mirror, as the lights at the end of the camera shine directly into it, making it completely useless in any environment that is not already lit. (...and when would you ever be using an inspection camera in a space that was lit?) I did not experience an inverted image as many people have previously complained.
If you find yourself fishing power or data lines through existing wall cavities with any degree of regularity, this tool is well worth the price.
-
This product worked very well for me. I did not have any upside down image problems that other people are talking about. I think you just have to turn the snake-cable 180 degrees and that will solve this issue.
I guess some of the minor things I would say in the negative about my experience with this item would be:
--Once you have the snake inside a wall, it is hard to get it to go where you want to see something specific. You can only control direction by clumsily twisting and turning the handle to look around. I guess adding directional controls would make the unit more expensive.
--I would definitely like to have the ability to grab onto things by adding a trigger to the handle so I can grab onto something which has fallen into a wall or small hole. I lost a wood file inside my wall which fell down to the 1st floor. I can now see the file with the Snake, but cannot grab it. I guess I at least know exactly where the tool is now, DOH!
If you do inspection work into small places this tool is a very good product. I guess not being a handyman by trade, just a homeowner, I can't see myself using this tool more than a few times.
- Great for tracing wiring, finding fasteners, "aiming" tools, and locating leaks in engine bays and up under dashboards. Beats the old mirror-on-a-stick by a country mile.

5 comments about MusicPower 0900-71 Duet Two-USB Port AC Charger.
- I am very satisfied with this product. It works perfect and the price is reasonable, I would reccommend it to anyone..
- I first saw this device when a friend brought it on a trip with us. I liked the convenience of being able to charge both my iPhone and a separate USB-chargable phone simultaneously.
The charger has a pullout plug at the top, so when it is not in use it is very small - about the size of an iPhone, and very light. It works fine and I have encountered no problems with it's use.
If you are looking for a charger for an iPhone, iPod or USB-chargable telephone, this charger should be quite suitable. And the price is very good, so it is high value for money - certainly an important consideration during the current times!
- Output voltages on this unit are 2.5V and 1.5V. Neither voltage is enough to charge the Razr. The Razr charger is rated at 5.0V. Before you assume this low-voltage charger will work with your device, check the output of the charger it came with (or the input requirement listed in the owner manual). I suspect it would have trouble charging myriad USB devices. Kensington's 4-port USB charger costs nearly $30 but it puts out the full 5V at 2.0 amps; that's the one I'm buying to replace this mistake. Kensington K38035US 4-Port USB Charger for Mobile Devices
- OK DEFINITE BUY! It's relatively cheap, VERY useful. I actually charge my digital camera and iPod together all the time....I use it for my iPod downstairs in my bedroom (no computer in my room) so I can plug it into the speakers and let it play WHILE IT CHARGES!! That's a big plus!
I'm currently in Brazil (again) and just got done charging my camera with it. It's very lightweight, the metal prongs (plug) itself folds into the white body so it's not sticking out poking things. The piece is solid, doesn't feel like some chargers I've had (like cell chargers) that if you squeeze them or push them in too tight they'll fall apart.
I've had this product several months already and definitely am 100% happy that I bought it. No need for something more expensive: GO WITH THIS ONE!
- I have an iPhone 3G and a Plantronics Voyager 510 (both of which I highly recommend). This charging USB adaptor is super fast, apparently efficient energy-wise, small and well-designed.

5 comments about Waterpik TRS-559 Elements 5-Mode Handheld Shower, Brushed Nickel.
- This is one of the best handheld shower heads we have ever used! We love the different settings and especially the massage settings! Of course, we chose a Waterpik due to their reputation and we were not disappointed one bit.
- Good price. I didn't like that its made of metal looking plastic, wish it was made of a sturdy metal, but I guess you get what you pay for. Easy to install, and nice long cord, however it's stream is very weak. My shower has incredible water pressure, so I know its not my shower, my old shower head was like a fire hose power blaster, so I was looking for something a little more gentle as to not blast my face off, but this is pretty weak, even the stronger settings don't get all the soap out of my hair as quickly as I'd like. If you prefer a more gentle pressure, then this shower head may work out for you, but if your looking for something more powerful, I'd shop around a bit more and maybe spend the extra dollar.
- Good product for the price. One thing that should be made stronger is the piece that gets screwed into the wall pipe - it is weak and very wrench-unfriendly
- The spinning face, which selects the mode and sprays water has come loose. Water leaks all around the head and thus, has lost all pressure. I'm pretty sure this item will be replaced by Waterpik; however, what am I suppose to do while I wait for Waterpik to deal with this? If there isn't a replacement, I'll update this review.
- Purchased this unit to pair with a fixed wide patter showerhead for walk in shower. Wanted a hand held option for cleaning, as well as massage options. The water pressure is adequate but not strong, even upon removing the flow restrictor. The massage action is OK, but not as strong as my original shower masssager from the mid 1980's.
The vinyl hose is annoying as another reviewer mentioned, in tat it does not hang well and can result in shower head twisting while using it.
