5 comments about JDS 750-ER 14022 3 Speed Air Filtration System with Remote and Electrostatic Pre-Filter.
- I purchased this unit 3 years ago. It has performed flawleessly!!!
My first air filter was a home depot window fan with a wool filter on the inlet side and a 1 micron filter on the outlet side. That helped my dust situation quite a bit but this JDS ROCKS!
The electrostatic filter is easy to clean. It's not very noisy as others have stated. My wood equipment makes much more noise than this thing.
I used 4 hooks to hang from the ceiling. Might want a bit of help to lift as it was a struggle to hang. I did it myself. My aching back.
It cleans the air extremely fast and down to the micron. It even helps move the air in my basement so much I see much less dust on objects I used to clean monthly. It helps move the humidity so the dehumidifier works better also. A nice plus!
I added a pre-filter and that stretches out the cleaning of the electrostatic filter. I purchased a 3 pack of spun wool filtes from Lowes for about 2 bucks. I use duct tape to fasten the wool filter to the front of the JDS. Perfect fit! I use my shop vac to clean out the wool filter. And man does that wool filter get dirty!
I still have the same filter bag and I think it's starting to get clogged. Time to replace. And yes I do a lot of wood working and make plenty of dust.
Combine this JDS with a Grizzly dust collector and you would not belive the difference in floor and ambiant dust.
I would purchase this unit again.
Oh yeah, the remote. I think it's under some pile of wood scraps somewhere.
- There are a number of other reviews in the 4/5 range here that give pretty good detail, so I won't say much.
1) 'Whisper quiet' is subjective marketing speak. Another reviewer described it as 'reasonably quiet' which I find closer to my experience. The shop cat looked at it briefly at startup and left for a quieter nap elsewhere. But, he took his time. Volume might get annoying on an extended basis. I've worked with lots worse. My very well balanced table saw is quieter; the Carter guides on my bandsaw noisier. Probably better to be using hearing protection all the time anyway.
2) Bigger than I thought. Bigger than the Jets and Deltas I looked at. I'll cope, but think about the size before you buy. I'd still get this one, but I have to rearrange things a bit.
3) I had no problems with setup at all. There is a large tag that says remove the foam before you turn it on, and I did that; ergo, no problem.
- This is a wonderful machine. I bought the Jet, which I liked, but returned it because the phantom timer had it running after it had been turned off. The JDS is better built, has a timer that works, has a great front filter in a metal frame that your just hose off to clean. And it isn't made in China but in South Carolina (I don't know where the parts come from). Its worth the extra bucks, you get what you pay for, mine was perfect out of the box including the hanging hardware! (saving a trip to the hardware store). I tried both, I like the JDS.
- I love this product. My customers love that I use this in ther homes. I will be getting another one to use permanently in my shop. I Finish a lot of basements. This cuts down on the dust remarkably.
- This unit is no longer made in the U.S., unfortunately, but after talking to the fine folks at their SC headquarters, I went ahead and bought it. I have been well pleased with the unit. It is heavy and bulky, so an extra hand is critical in lifting it to its ceiling position. It seems to work well; I come back and the air is clear, which is good! In fact, I feel better just hearing it humming in the background even when I'm creating more noise than sawdust. I'd recommend it.

5 comments about Grout Grabber GG001 Grout Removal Tool for Most Reciprocating Saws or Sawzalls.
- My husband returned this one immediately. The photo shows that it will do up to 3/4" of grout, but that's only if you buy three of them (and add them together--which he didn't do). For $45 for three, you are better off investing in a much better tool to do the job. I guess if you had a 12" spot to redo, this tool might be good for you. However, my husband purchased the Fein Multimaster tool (that he saw at the same time on TV as an informercial) for $260 and is absolutely AMAZED at the speed and efficiency at which the tool removes grout--not to mention in a clean and consise manner. It saved him hours and hours worth of tedious work. He initially balked at the price, but now says that the tool is worth it's weight in gold and would certainly recommend it to anyone needing to remove grout, tile, etc.
- I removed the grout between 2" tiles on a shower floor of approx. 15 ft sq. That meant LOTS of grout lines. Fortunately they were 1/16" lines so I only had to use one blade at a time. This thing does work well, but it's still a long tedious job doing a lot of linear feet of grout lines. It took me more than one day working several hours each day. The directions recommend not using full speed of the recip saw and this is good advice. Medium speed works the best. Unlike a previous opinion, it's not that difficult to keep the blade in the grout lines, but no matter how steady your hand the blade will eventually jump out of the line once or twice. Murphy's law. I had a matte finish tile and it did no noticeable damage when the blade accidentally jumped out and hit the tile face. I think if you had a gloss porcelin tile it might put a noticeable scratch on the tile face. The recip saw is bulky and hard to maneuver in small areas, but my floor was a larger area and it wasn't a problem. Working on vertical surfaces is probably more difficult than a floor due to the weight of the saw and the time involved. Packaging says its "dustless" and it pretty much is. It won't foul the air in your work area like dry sawing through drywall or tile will. It just leaves a dry mound of powdered grout along the lines. It's helpful to have the shopvac handy to suck that up every few minutes, mostly so you can see the line better. Overall, there's probably better tools at quickly removing grout (i.e. Feinmaster),but if you've got the time this is probably the best bang for the buck.
- I made a mistake buying this item. It will never be used by me in the future. There was no info in the description which clearly showed one would need a reciprical electrical saw to use it. I thought it was a hand tool.
This item is for a professional who works on a whole room of tile. I just needed to remove ten tiles in one row.
I ended up using a chisel and hammer to complete the job.
- I bought this tool so that I could remove selected floor tiles for some kitchen remodeling. It is outstanding! is tears the grout out like a hot knife through butter. You have to be careful because it will also cut in to the subfloor, in my case concrete. It is not "dustless" as the package claims, but the dust is coarse enough to not really get airborne. The only problem that I had was that I had to go elsewhere on the internet to get additional cutter blades. They show using 4 blades to remove wider grout lines. Get one more blade, then space them out with washers to get the desired witdth. If there is any grout left in between it will pop out easily. This tool works as advertised, and will make your tile removal / re-grouting job a lot easier!
- If you have a shower stall that needs to be re-grouted, like I did, then this is the best tool for the job. You will probably want to order extra blades, like I did, to stack together depending on how wide your tile is spaced.

- These are classic pink flamingos. They are sturdy plastic with metal legs that can go right into the ground. What can be said really, they are fun and funny at the same time. We have ours in our backyard, and everytime we look out the window and see them we smile.
The price is also really great. We had seen many other companies offering the same item for much more, some as much as $20. So this is a great buy for this item. If you love pink flamingos, these are for you!
- Yes, I love Jerry Springer and tattoos on women. Bought these to compliment my doublewide. I am the only one in the trailer park to own any. They were a hot pink but the sun has faded them to a sexy, Victoria secret pink.I am loving it here in UA (Upper Alabama)
- All I know for sure is this is a very caring company, they care about their customers and the fact that they are happy and I really appreciate that.
- It was so nice to easily find the flamingos I was looking for. They arrived safely and quickly and now live HAPPILY in my back yard in Missouri. Happy with my purchase. THANKS

5 comments about Better Living AVIVA Single Dispenser.
- I got these after I bought a cheap dispenser from Walmart which leaked, gave only a drop of shampoo at a time, and fell off the shower wall twice.
This soap dispenser is nice looking, and easy to fill. It comes with sticky tape and silicone glue. The instructions say to use the whole tube of glue, and that the tape is only to hold it in place while the glue dries. Well, since I had problems with the Walmart one, I followed the instructions exactly, and used all the glue, and the tape. I also didn't put the dispenser on until two days after I attached it, just to make sure the glue was dry. I used painters blue tape to hold it in place too. My shower surround is cultured marble. Before putting the glue I used alcohol to clean the wall and the dispenser mount. I used the alcohol wipes that are used for medical purposes, and they work great. It cleans off any oily or soap residue and dries fast. I waited for the alcohol to dry completely before applying the glue. There is a diagram on how to apply the glue to the back of the mount.
The instructions tell you not to fill it or use it for 24 hours after application. Also, the glue is quite stink when not dry. I used the smell as an indicator of whether the glue was dry or not. The smell has faded almost entirely.
I have since filled it and used it for a week! I am quite pleased. It has not leaked at all, and the amount it dispenses is just enough for liquid face soap. For shampoo, I got the two dispensers with the basket, and those work equally great. No leaks and I use two pumps to get the right amount of shampoo (I have shoulder length hair).
These work great so far and I am happy with them. The dispensers can be filled while attached or separately, as you can simply slide them up off the mount. The glue did not interfere with the mount at all.
UPDATE - October 2008
The dispenser is working as good as new, no problems with it at all. Given the hot conditions we live on the leeward side of Oahu, I am very pleased with this product! It is still firmly attached to the shower wall. I love it.
- This was a little smaller than I expected but we LOVE the product!! We put it in our laundry room with soap by our utility sink. I did follow the instructions like filling it with water first to make sure it worked before hanging it up. It doesn't leek. The pump works. It's a wonderful product!!!
- We bought this when we painted our restroom. This is very easy to install (not really install, as its just sticking it to wall). We use it everyday and never had any issues using it. We bought three of these.
- I use these dispensers in the bathroom showers of the vacation rental property in Park City, UT. Rather than having those littled plastic hotel bottles, I have one for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I have the AVIVA 3 dispenser but bought a couple of these as back ups in case one fails.
- didn't fit 100% on my handlebar, but that wasn't any fault of the mount. Still, I was able to clamp it on by leaving off the lower part of the U-shaped bar. It is very easy to angle the GPS in different directins with it, and it held the unit without any problems on a long trip from Brooklyn, NY to southern NJ and back.

- Thanks for a great product, pre-spooled. It saves a lot of headaches that's for sure. A great idea!
- We went numerous places looking for this particular string for the trimmer. We couldn't find it anywhere. So we were pleased to find it through Amazon. It arrived quickly and was exactly what we needed. We are very pleased.
- This weed eater string replacement was soooo much more durable than the string that came with the machine. Well worth a replacement!

3 comments about Linear Delta 3 Gate Operator and Garage Door Opener Remote Transmitter Model DTC.
- I've been moving the remote opener from car to car. Finally I searched for openers online. This company had the best price with shipping. They arrived amazingly fast. Now I have one in each car.
- I live in a gated community which charges $50 for each gate opener. I had one opener which was really inconvenient. Now I can give one to my parents and put one with my bicycle, and give one to my daughter so we can all have easy access, and don't have to share the opener or make sure someone is home in order for other people in our family to be able to get into our subdivision. And with a savings of about $37 for each opener!
- I purchased three garage door openers from this vendor. The price was very fair and I received the units within one week - a surprise to me.
Every unit works well, they were shipped with instructions, which being a woman I read and programming was a breeze.
I would definitely buy from this vendor again.
Satisfaction rating - excellent.

4 comments about Denali 565004 18-Volt Cordless Smart Charger.
- I had to buy this charger when I bought the Denali cordless vac. The battery slides on and off easily, and charges REALLY fast. I don't recommend you keep it plugged it as it can get very warm even w/ out a battery charging in it.
- it clearly tells you want it is doing, and what it means by the blinking which is labled on the charger. it feels like it is good quality. i did get one of my three i ordered defective, but amazon got me a replacemnt with next day shipping so i am very pleased with amazon as well as the denali line of tools. again these are for a homeowner not a contractor, but the price is so good they might as well be disposable tools.
- This charger seems to work as well as any of the more expensive units I own. It charges fast and doesn't seem to produce any excessive heat. It has mounting holes so it can be wall mounted, saving shelf space. I prefer to wall mount my cordless chargers in my workshop it keeps them cleaner and makes them easier to find. I am very pleased with this unit.
- works as claimed.
kind of a lot of shelf space for the job it does.

- As soon as I put it up the pigeons at my house began enjoying the shade this plastic sculpture provided for them- they liked it so much they invited their friends and had a great time defecating all around it. I ended up shooting the owl. And then tossing rocks to scare away the birds. Good luck
- The owl did nothing for the pigeons on my balcony, they still flock around and sometimes I even see them perched right bedside it like it's not even there!
- Not what I expected cheap plastic the mount for the head is already cracked. The screw that holds the head mount together is rusted. The head doesn't move on its own you have to grab it to move it. Its not a bobble head. Little birds land on its head to do their business. Not exactly afraid of it.
- I put this up next to my blueberry bushes yesterday, this morning I saw a bird right next to it. Birds aren't stupid enough to fall for this thing and you shouldn't be either.
- The owl is darling. And, love the bobble head. It does work - and scare away the critters that like our veggies and flowers! And the little nephews and neices love it, too! And. it also adds a cute touch to our garden!

5 comments about Milwaukee 48-11-1833 V18 Multi-Pack 18-Volt and 28-Volt Lithium-Ion Charger with 2 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Batteries Combo Pack.
- I have been using these for a couple of months now and am completely satisfied. I have two 18 volt drills and the batteries were going bad. These new batteries are all they are advertised. The have a quick recharge and provide very good power for a very long time. There is no slowing of the drill as the batteries run down. When the batteries are empty, the drill just stops. Kind of a surprise and takes a little getting used to. The first couple of times, I thought the drill had malfunctioned.
The lighter weight is a big plus as they are much lighter than the original batteries.
I would strongly recommend anyone with the milwaukee drill replace the original batteries with these.
- These batteries have given me new tools. They are much better than the NiCad batteries that came with the 4 pc. combo. They last longer and give the tools more power. Highly recommended
- Great battery. It makes my Milwaukee tools seem better than when I bought them new. MUCH better performance than from my Ni-cad batteries. A little pricey, yes, but now that I have them, I think it was worth it.
- good price and the value was great get 2 batteries and a charger so cheap
- Battery works forwards and backwards. Battery charge scale on back isn't funky, just press the dang button you idiots.
Only bad thing and it's minor. 18v batteries won't fit in the old hard case but this is no fault of the seller, it's Milwaukees. Just bought a tool bag and stuff everything in there.
Best price I saw on the internet. Everything works as promised.
