5 comments about P3 International Vibrasonic Mole Chaser #P7906.
- I live in a wooded area so moles are abundant. Two years ago I purchased two units for my front and side yard and they really do help. I say help because nothing is 100% when it comes to moles tunneling in your yard. For best results kill what the moles are feeding on. "Bayer Complete" is a liquid with it's own sprayer that you connect to your hose for $12. This, or similar product, used along with the "Mole Chaser" unit will get rid of and keep away those pest. I just purchased two more for a total of four. It took several weeks but I'm mole free, for now. Keep check of your batteries and "spray annually". There are several varieties of these units.
- I bought 3 of these about 3-4 weeks ago for a large yard that has had moles in it since before we built here 10 years ago. I had bought a cheap mole chaser from a mail catalog 7 years ago that did not work at all, but these have actually worked. No new activity the past week or two. You do have to place the 'buzzing' part in the bottom of the cylinder. the way the motor and battery holder work, you can place it in upside down or right side up. Could be they don't work as well if the buzzer is at the top. Also I placed mine almost 'level' with the ground. They MAY need to be in the soil quite deep to work well. Don't know why they either work well or completely fail unless it has to do with my suggestions above. I'm buying 3 more for my back yard, they are active back there, but not in my front yard anymore. My front yard is about 140' by 100' and I have them them placed in a triangle shape with one by my driveway about 15 feet from the road. One centered in the yard about 15' from my front porch and the third is parallel to the first and about 30 feet from the opposite property line and about 15 feet from the street.
- So far this product is working perfectly. I have had it installed for
about one month. Under my lawn in Alabama I have packed red clay. I
dug a narrow hole and then packed the soil tightly around the unit. The cap on top is one half inch above ground. The mole was active for the first week or two as expected. Since then there has been no sign of any moles. The sound from the unit, which is packed tightly, is very very faint.
Update: Have had this unit now for 4 months. No sign of mole. Pack tightly with soil.
- The devices arrived swiftly and at a good price. Not sure if they are working as I can't see the voles - only their holes.
- This product really works. I tried everything, from poison to water and nothing worked until this. I have no more gophers!

3 comments about Wobble Light WLJ85F Jr 85-Watt Fluorescent Work Light, Yellow.
- The Wobble Light Jr. has more then paid for itself many times over. The cool to the touch ventilated cover provides illunmination from 15-20 feet in all directions. The 85 watt fluorescent bulb has lasted for over a year without replacement. Its built in shock absorber allows the unit to handle the usual bumps and jars. Once hit it bobbles to the upright position without damage or re-setting. The recessed outlet allows for the piggy backing of other lights or equipment. Just plug in and hit the switch. Outstanding product!
- I bought two of these, and although I haven't used them a lot yet, I've used them enough to be quite impressed. They seem very sturdy, and their light is very even and bright. The best part is how cool they are! Unlike every other work light I own (halogen and tungsten), these don't add a lot of heat to the space being painted. What a welcome change! And they don't take a ton of space, like other fluorescent work lights I've seen. Really a brilliant design.
- This is a great innovation. I was going to add some more lighting to my shop in areas where I don't work very often but ran across a review of this light in a wwing magazine. This gives me the light I need and also a light for a lot of other uses. Nice to have the plug in for a power tool also.

5 comments about Dishwasher Rack Repair WIZARD - WHITE (bottle only).
-
The dishwasher rack repair I ordered was received in good condition, but if one needs to fix more than a couple of areas, the liquid quickly becomes thick and gummy. I really had to fix several spots and guess that's not a good plan. Too bad there isn't some type of spray that would hold up on dishwasher racks.
This material is okay, but not for larger jobs.
- We will eventually replace our older dishwasher, which despite its age, still runs fine. In the meantime, this stuff works great where the dishwasher detergent has etched off surfaces on the racks--lots better than the $200 + shipping, handling and tax to replace the upper and lower racks on an appliance that is worth next to nothing.
- Vendor shipped promptly and delivery arrived well packaged. I had multiple problems with tines on lower rack where the vinyl had cracked and rust ate away at the lines -- several even fell off. This product worked well to cover the areas and now the rack seems as good as new. The 1/2oz bottle does not cover large areas and the MEK solvent evaporates fast so you only get one chance to make this work. Directions say to dab on, let dry for an hour, and then re-coat. This did the trick. Replacement rack is $100 so this product helped avoid that expense for a while at least.
- I have used products like this before. This one performed the same as previous products. I ended up needing to use lots of it and let it set over night before using the rack in the dishwasher. It has stayed on well.
- This product worked as expected. We had a piece of a peg from our dishwasher rack break off and it exposed the metal. It ended up rusting a bit too. We used a piece of sandpaper to sand off as much of the rust as we could and then applied this product. Let it dry for a few hours and have had no problems. I'm pleased.

5 comments about DEWALT DW618B3 12 Amp 2-1/4 Horsepower Plunge Base and Fixed Base and D-Handle Base Variable Speed Router Kit with 1/4-Inch and 1/2-Inch Collets.
- You can not find it cheaper. If you are thinking then buy it. I looked and amazon has it the cheapest and delievers faster than anyone!
- Ok, so I bought this after reading all the reviews. I've returned one and got another. In both cases I had a collet break. DO NOT USE CHEAP ROUTER BITS! I have determined this cased the breakage. The 1/4" broke using a Bosch bit. I noticed as I was putting in the bit it was tight, where as the Amana bit fit smoothly and the same for the Whiteside. Also I use a wrench for tightening instead of the push in. I feel I can get a better tightening of the bit using two wrenches.
It accepts Porter Cable (PC) stuff so that' a plus, but if I had to do it again I think I would spend more and get a PC. Good news is PC service department seems to be great, I have another collet on it's way.
- It will spoil you. The router is light, has a smooth 'wind-up speed, has fast/easy adjustments,is not too loud. The carrying case neatly houses everything-if you need to just throw the tool in the back of your pick-up or whatever. Truly, this is a real man's tool. Tom
- So...
I'll add my two cents. I too have wandered into the "choosing a router" soap opera.
I had been happy with my Dewalt 1621, until I tried to use a template guide. For some reason, the collet isn't remotely centered on the base plate - making the router useless with a template guide. There seems to be no way to adjust the 1621's base plate - so off I went in search of a new router.
The two kits I decided to choose from were the Bosch and the Dewalt. I read reviews of the Porter Cable, but the reviews seemed negative enough that they dissuaded me from considering it.
First, I took the Bosch kit home. Things to know:
A.) The kit I had was the 1617(whatever) router. This particular router is not compatible with the Bosch D-handled base. This seems to be a magnificent marketing failure. It means that if you want to use the D-handled base, you're going to have to buy another "motor" - the 1618(whatever).
B.) The Bosch fixed base router uses an awkward (in my opinion) three position depth setting. As the motor slides into the base, you can stop at one of three detents. Once you have picked a detent, a "fine setting" allows you to to move up or down from that particular position. Bottom line: You have to guess which detent will get you the depth you want (if it is close). If you're wrong, then you will have to completely reset the "fine adjustment" and move to a different detent.
C.) Bosch doesn't include the centering cone - essential if you are going to use template guides.
D.) They still don't seem to be using a sealed switch. The complaints about the switch, and Bosch's seeming indifference, were a deal-breaker. Who wants to have to deal with such an obvious deficiency in a product? The placement of the switch is also marginal at best. Unless you're a Horowitz, you're going to have to let go of a handle to flip the switch.
E.) The Bosch vacuum attachment is a piece of plastic that seems, in my opinion, apt to break in the sometimes clumsy hands of a tradesman. It doesn't fit the standard shop vacuum. Then again, none of the tools I own fit a standard shop vac... what *is* with that?!?
F.) The depth adjustments on the Bosch seemed like afterthoughts, in my view. The fine adjustment isn't easy to turn or read.
Now to the Dewalt:
A.) The Dewalt comes with a D-Handled base. The motor fits beautifully in all three bases.
B.) The Dewalt motor smoothly spirals downward into the fixed base. This makes setting the depth a much simpler prospect than with the Bosch. Loosen the base, twist one way to go up, or the other to go down. I fine adjustment provides, well, a fine adjustment.
C.) Dewalt includes a centering cone.
D.) The switch is sealed and well placed. You can engage without letting go of the router.
E.) The Dewalt Plunge Base includes a built-in, indestructible, Vacuum attachment. A marginal piece of plastic *can* be put on, but may not be necessary. In my case, I'm routing foam, yes, foam, and the vacuum worked great without the plastic attachment.
F.) The depth adjustments on the Dewalt were nothing to write home about, but they were better, in my view, than what Bosch offered. They put some thought into them, at least.
Last word: I have read the other reviews concerning exploding magnetic rings. We'll see... On the upside, Dewalt offers a 3 year warranty. Bosch does not.
- I purchased this router to do speaker cabinet work and also to be part of a tool collective my friends created. After looking at the price point I wanted, this was the only real option on the list.
We have used Plunge Base and the Fixed Base, but not the D-Handle (that I know of). The motor swapout, while very handy, is also rather difficult depending on the base it is in. The depth adjustments on the plunger are rather non-exact and require a lot of work to get it setup just right. The guide rails for the fixed base are great. That said, I don't know if it is a consistency issue, but the machining of the holes for the rails was unfinished/partially blocked, and required some work to get the rails to actually slide through them the first time.
The case is a nice size, and easy to store, however there isn't a location for more than a tiny box of bits, and that involves some gerrymandering of the loose parts. After getting used to using the product, this is my only remaining complaint. My workbench is setup for electronics and not woodworking normally, so keeping various tool-sets together is quite important to me.
As a person that is relatively new to woodworking myself (rather than just helping others), having a guide as to speed vs. hardness of material would have been nice, but given the general instructions that came with it are not written all that well (as corroborated by a friend that has grown up with woodworking), that is probably out of scope.
I definitely recommend it, but I can't give it 5 stars.

5 comments about Petzl E43990 Pouch for Tikkina, Tikka, Tactikka, Tikka Plus, Tactikka Plus, Tikka XP, Tactikka XP.
- At first I thought that it would be too small, but it has room for the Tactikka XP,the extra colered lenses, and spare batteries!Seems to be a well built product!
- This item would be great if it were exactly 2x bigger. The pouch can fit EITHER the light, or the headstrap, but not both. Either of them on their own are a tight fit.
If you must have this, I would recommend buying two plus a carabiner to connect them together. Or just try to find yourself a larger semi-hard case that can actually fit your light.
- It's not a bad case overall. However, I was hoping it would be a little stiffer. More of a "hard case". It's pretty soft. I'm not sure how well it will protect the light if it takes a direct blow. But it is still good for keeping the light close on a pack strap or belt. A little pricey for what it is, in my opinion. I would not buy another!
- I bought this to keep my new Tikka XP safe while crammed along with my other supplies in my back pack. It offers semi-hard casing instead of being more plyable like soft cases or bags and the Tikka fits snuggly inside. Samll enough to take up the least ammount of space in my pack while being big enough to easily fit the Tikka XP inside. Great deal!
- just as others have said, my headlamp (tikka plus) doesn't fit in this case. there is a larger one available though. go to a store to try and size it.

5 comments about Coleman Cable Systems, Inc. 08660 20 ft. Long 4 gauge with 500 Amp Polar-Glo Booster Cable Clamp.
- unless you have AAA, make sure you pick a pair of these up. they do not tangle, which is nice and easy to clamp on. Well worth it, especially if you have kids...you cannot afford to be stranded.
- The weakest link in any booster cable is the clamps. If the connection from clamp to terminal is even slightly weak then the amperage is critically limited (even 1 ohm is too much at 12 volts). I chose these because of their fairly heavy gauge to maintain amperage despite their length, but (and you can't tell from the listing) the clamps are not as impressive as I would like -- they are the sort where there is copper on only one side of the jaws and I would prefer both. Most of us have had the experience of working clamps into corroded terminals to try to get just a bit more power. I haven't used these cables yet but assume confidently they will work fine. The cables are fairly flexible and appear sturdy and well-insulated. Don't skimp on cables, you get what you pay for, and I think these are merely a fair deal in light of their much higher price.
- I purchased these cables based solely on internet research. Coleman seems to be a well respected company. After inspecting the 08660 twenty foot long four gauge cables, I am satisfied with my purchase. The materials appear to be of good quality, and the clamp design is intuitive. There is a top of page review dated September 14th 2006 by Privacy Advocate titled "Slight disappointment" in which he describes his concern about the clamps having only one side of the jaw plated with copper. This actually is an intelligent design. The copper cable is connected to only one jaw (the jaw that is copper plated for increased conductivity). Copper plating the non-connected jaw would be counter productive. I recommend purchasing a minimum length of twenty feet, a minimum of four gauge cable, and clamps rated a minimum of 500 amps. The length is recommended because you may not always be able to place a boost vehicle nose to nose or side by side. The gauge and amps are particularly important if you live in a cold climate. Check the vehicle OEM battery specifications regarding cold cranking amps (CCA) for a clear understanding of why gauge and amps are important.
- Heavy duty jumper cables. 20 foot cables take up a bit more space, but sure is nice when you cannot get right next to the car that needs a jump. 4 gauge is great for this length. This is good guality cable that stays flexible below freezing.
I bought these for my young daughter who lives in the city. People are amazed that she knows how to jump a car. It is becoming a lost art and new vehicles can suffer damage from a jump.
Anyway if you want serious cables for a fair price these will work for you.
- I've bought at least two booster cables in my lifetime and this is one that is long enough for most situations for my old car.

- I have also bought this product and can't find the filters anywhere. I purchased this item about 6 mos. ago and have been very dissatisfied since I realized 3 mos. into it that I was not going to be able to find this filter. I also make my tea with this coffeemaker but it just doesn't taste the same without a new filter. I would definitely not buy this brand again.
- Very annoying that you can't get the filters for this coffee maker anywhere.
- I am not sure where these people are looking for filters. Generally, I find they are available through higher end retailers like Macy's and Bed Bath n Beyond. Here is a little secret. You can order direct from the company!!!! All you have to do is read your owner's manual and the phone number is in there. Magic! Problem solved. I believe the filter is an excellent idea and Krups is a great product. I am sold!
- I believe that the reason why some people are having difficulty finding these filters is because the coffe makers, Crystal arome (model #398) and Crystal arome time (model #458) have been discontinued, these filters fit those models. But as someone else has mentioned you can buy the filters on-line. Simple solution.
You can go to krups.com to find out more about the discontinued coffee makers.
- Similar to other reviews, I have had trouble finding filters. I also own a Krups Mocha Brew and they use a Size 1 round filter which is only avaiable online for $5/ box of 100 plus shipping and handling. This is a lousy way for Krups to do business, not making filters widely available. It would deter me from future purchases.

- I love the whole "pink" line of tool products on Amazon. I received these gloves. They are great, but I wish they came in different sizes. I have small hands. Maybe there are different sizes and I didn't know. That's why I gave it four stars, otherwise that's the only thing I didn't like.
- It is a nice leather glove that would fit a man's hand. I only gave one star since it is WAY to big for a woman's hand.

- Great seller with a good product. Cable is heavy duty and the shipping was very fast.
- Haven't had a need to use it yet - but it's built well with solid connections.
- For the money, these cables are a pretty good deal. They use 8 AWG wire, which is big enough for most jumping needs. Mine came a bit scuffed up, and they didn't have the glow in the dark feature (just a sticker put on each clamp), but otherwise they were in good shape. Priced at under $12, the cables are a good buy, but don't expect them to compare with really high-end cables.

As always, please be kind enough to indicate if reviews are helpful.
- Bought this as a precaution before heading off to a music festival and I needed it right away when my friends battery died from playing music all day. The next morning we hooked it up and her car started right up! So do the world a favor and throw a set of these in your trunk...you never know when one of those cute hula hooping girls is going to need a jump :D
- Long enough to do the job, thick enough to release the charge, and I like the yellow color.

5 comments about Hitachi 725206 10-Inch 72 Tooth ATB Fine Finish Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor.
- This is not the first Hitachi blade that I have bought. For the money this blade gives an excellent cut and holds its edge for a good amount of time. I've used a lot of blades in the past and believe me this is a great deal. I have been in the woodworking industry for almost 40 years and I know what I am talking about.
- I purchased 5 of these blades when they were on sale. I do high end trim carpentry. I tested this blade on wide poplar baseboard. It produced significant tear out and is very load. I would compare it with a Black and Decker economy blade. If you need a truly smooth and quiet blade, try the Makita quiet cut.
- You will not find a quality blade anywhere that beats Amazon's price on this blade. We use them every day in our trim business. It lasts just as long and cuts as smooth as you'll want.
- This blade really makes a sweet cut. I used it doing about 700 sq. ft. of laminate flooring. Not one bad cut from the blade. Am thinking of buying another one while they are at the $35 price, just to have another one if this one gets dull. Hard to beat this price.
- This is the factory blade that the 10" saw comes with. It is a very good all around blade and stays sharp for a long time.
