5 comments about Hitachi KM12VC 11 Amp 2-1/4 Horsepower Plunge and Fixed Base Variable Speed Router Kit with 1/4-Inch and 1/2-Inch Collets.
- This kit is very high quality and perfect for a beginner such as myself. The kit comes with everything you may need to get started. The only minor problem is that it was a bit of a challenge to find router tables that this would mount to. I was able to verify that it would fit in the Bosch series of tables, but if your looking to mount this to less expensive tables this may not be the router for you.
- I have finished two woodworking projects using the Hitachi router: the first using the fixed base, and the second using the plunge base. I read the basic safety and operating instructions and had no problems with assembly or operation. After reading other reviewers notes and before purchasing, I decided to go to a local hardware store and experiment and examine several brands of routers with fixed and plunge bases to understand how they work. Consequently, I did not bother to read the inadequate directions on assembling and using the plunge router. It seemed pretty obvious. I did notice that the plunge base dispersed the dust in a very haphazard fashion--not sure if I didn't align the motor correctly or what, but I blew out the dust using an air compressor. I'll now check the directions to see if that helps. Other than that, no problems. Oh, I bought a Bosch 5/8" straight bit and it was a good choice for dado cuts.
- After reading review's and checking out this router at a local store, I deceided to purchase it online for a lot less. I purchased this router mainly for use on my router table with the fixed base but having the option of using it as a plunge router is a plus. I have only been using this router for a little over 3 months, but recently I have put it to pretty good test making new raised panel doors for our kitchen cabinet's and so far I am very satisfied with It's performance. Some people say you need a 3hp router for cutting the raised panels but this 2 1/4 hp done the job just fine. This is where you will need to use the variable speed, you will need to set it at about half speed before making a cut on the panel, you will also have to adjust the depth of cut 2 to 3 times before making the final cut as you would also have to do with with a 3hp router. So in my opinion this router look's, feel's and perform's like a quality router so the question is will it last in the long run? If so I will be very very satisfied.
- Good product with great price - loe having fixed and plunge base - case is a real nice surprise
- The perfect tool has not been invented yet. With that in mind, this tool comes pretty close. Right out of the case, you can tell you have an impressive tool in your hand. And when you turn it on, you know you have an impressive tool in your hand. I am a woodworker by heart but a long shot from a pro. I have been living with a old Black and Decker and two Craftsman routers. (I believe made by Porter Cable in those days, not sure.) I thought it was time to do an upgrade and so I put out a really good search for a good router. The thing I was impressed with in my search was the power of the motor. Eleven amps. I know the Bosch router has 12 amps but I was not willing to put out $100 for just one more amp. I have used my Hitachi a lot and I just built a router table extension on my table saw. Well, guess what router I bought for it. Now i have two, one for my table and one Hitachi router kit. They are powerful enough to do what I need and I like the fact that they are the quietest router on the market. If you are looking for a great router, this is the one. Oh...did I mention the price. You get a great tool at a great price.

5 comments about Stanley 60-100 Standard Fluted Screwdriver Set, 10-Piece.
- With most tool company's quality still headed downhill, Stanley is a company you can depend on for pretty reliable tools at a fair price.
- The screwdriver tips broke on each standard screwdriver the first time I used them to install a screw. The screwdrivers are useless for any tight screw.
- These are some of the worst screwdrivers I have ever used. The Phillips tips don't seem to fit anything, and are quickly ruined. The flat tips twist under very little pressure.
- good for around the house they will do anything a home owner needs to accomplish.
- I've owned these Stanley screwdrivers for years and haven't had any issues with them. I work with computers and for opening computer cases and light household work, they do just fine. That said, I wouldn't use them in any truly demanding environment (such as auto work).
The other reviewers may have a point. The may break if they've changed the manufacturing process in the last five years.

3 comments about Advanced Tool Design Model ATD-10511 7" Polisher.
- Drive a classic 76 Trans Am - and get lots of scratches and chips on the bumpers from street parking. Wanted a decent polisher for removing occasional scratches and periodic repainting of bumpers. Was very impressed with this product. Seems nice and solid, 11 amp motor has lots of power. Very basic in terms of what comes with it - but for about $60.00 you don't expect a lot of extras. (Besides, extra pads and such are readily available at your local auto store for a few dollar.) Not unusual of polishers of this quality to be $150.00 to $250.00 or more. Slow start is a great feature. A bit on the heavy side - but I consider that a plus as it means less plastic. Comfortable to work with and speed seemed smooth. Tried it on a few scratches on my rear panel and it took them out with a bit of rubbing compound with almost no effort. If you want a quality product for home use and don't want to spend a fortune, then I would definitely recommend this polisher. Not much in the way of instructions, but not much assembly required and it was pretty easy to figure everything out. Since this is the first polisher I've used, I really have little to compare it to, but I am very happy with it and expect that you will be as well. Can't wait for my next full day off so I can grab this tool and give my car a great all-over detailing.
- Good price, top quality.
I bought this polisher for home use but it feels and works like a professional grade tool. I am very pleased, but I wish it came with more bonnets.
- I would like to give it a 5 stars, because of the price and quality that has offered. My friend paid well over $200 on DeWalt, now i realized that i did not have to spend that much mony to get the same job done. I did not even expect that nice and powerful from this unit, but i was shock to see. You do not even have to apply the pressure when you buff your car, this units is very powerful.
I also learned from ATD website that they are the maker of Makita and may other power tools brand so you can tell this manufacturer produce many high end brands.

5 comments about Senco FinishPro 42XP 1-1/4-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch 15-Gauge Finish Nailer with Case.
- This is the second one of this tool I have purchased, the first one I bought about 10 years ago. It finally died and new parts cost more than a new gun. Surprisingly, after receiving my new one, I find that it is exactly like my old one. Not even one little improvement. Even though it is a good product, I expected maybe a little smoother trigger or a better paint job, but, alas nothing. It is a very good nail gun and I'm happy with my second one now, but maybe I just expected too much. Yes, I'd buy it again.
- This is a NICE nailer!! Quality throughout and works great. Feels good in the hand. Makes my Bostitch feel cheap. My next nailer will be a Senco.
- There is not alot to a finish nailer. I want it to cositently sink nails at the proper adjusted depth, be easy to clear if it jams( in about 100,000 nails this has jammed three times, all by hitting a hidden drywall screw) which is absoutely amazing. I would think its about ready for a service but it still works well so i keep firing away. Oh and i also want it to feel good in my hand and fire smoothly. Also adjustable exhaust is nice. This does all of the above so it wins iv used others and this feels the best and fires the smoothest.
- The Senco FinishPro 42XP worked flawlessly out of the box. It is light, is very easy to handle and works great with Porter-Cable nails I purchased at Home Depot. It has already saved me hours in not having to manually hammer and set nails in a remodeling project I'm doing at home.
- This nailgun does not disappoint as well as all other Senco products. This is a strong nailer in tough oak treads and is very consistant in setting nails in the trim work I install. I would buy this item again. It is also lighter than the other Senco finish nailers I have owned in the past. A plus is the no worry of oiling it daily, plus there is no worry of getting oil on whatever I am nailing when I accidentally over oil, which is rare, but can happen. I am a trim/stairwork carpenter and this is an excelent nail gun.

5 comments about Discovery Channel Changing Volcano Kinetic Sculpture.
- This toy is great for holding your attention for a while. There is no age limit as to who finds it interesting. My 8-year old grand daughter turns it on every time she comes to my office and my co-workers are always stopping by to watch it. It's a good conversation starter.
- The item is as described. Shipping was reasonable and prompt. Much more lively than your every-day lava-lamp. Great conversation piece.
- This product is spectacular! It has lasted over a year and absolutely no problems. Called customer service regarding other items and they are absolutely excellent. I would recommend to anyone.
- We bought this for our son that LOVES volcanos. He constantly asked us to turn it on and he and his brother watched intently. It seemed cheaply made but did the job until the motor stopped working after not even a week. Great idea but very lousy product!
- All of the similar reviews on this item are correct. Mine worked fine for about 3 weeks before the motor which causes the eruption blew out. This thing isn't fun with just an LED at the top. Pass on this one.

5 comments about Milwaukee 7100-20 Round Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer.
- GREAT GUN! GREAT PRICE! Very light, easy to load, plenty of power and hasn't jammed in the first 2000 nails.
- I bought this gun after reading several reviews and I'm glad I got it! Good price, light weight, well balanced and not a single jam yet. I used it to build a scaffold on the end of my house with Hitachi 3 1/4" nails, then 2 1/2" nails to apply the hardy board siding. Quick, easy, and accurate adjustment for nail depth. I couldn't be happier, and can't wait till my next project.
- As a first time user of a framing nailer, the Milwaukee 7100-20 didn't disappoint. Once I found out that it will accept a range of nails (20-22°), it was smooth sailing. Reliable, easy to use, and jam-free. Even though it didn't come with a case, I would recommend this nailer enthusiastically.
- I have been using this framing gun for only a few months now, but I couldn't have asked for a better framing nailer so far. It being light weight is a big plus. I had a Porter Cable 350MAG but I much prefer the Milwaukee 7100-20.
- The gun is great it works better then my other gun. There is some plastic on the gun but it makes it very light to handle.

5 comments about Porter-Cable 42999 1/4-Inch Self Releasing Collet.
- Works great, if you need it, get it, no problems. Works in all of the Porter Cable Routers that I have. Zero complaints and I always find every little design flaw.
- I think it's criminal that Porter Cable has chosen not to include both the 1/4 inch and the 1/2 inch collet with this $300 plus router. This collet can't cost more than fifty cents; yet it's retailing for around $12. This is especially true since Porter Cable has joined the ranks of other companies, manufactoring their blades and bits in China. I have a number of Porter Cable tools, and they've always been first rate. I was really surprised when I received my new 7518, and it only had one collet. If they're going to rip you off on a collet, who knows what corners they're going to cut inside the case.
- I have no idea why Porter-Cable doesn't include one of these with the their 75xx series routers. I admit that the big routers would overpower most really delicate bits, but there are too many bits that are almost impossible to find in 1/2" size. Since my 7518 is the router in my router table, this collet is an absolute requirement.
Enough complaining. The good news is that the 1/4" collet is inexpensive and easily available. It works perfectly, of course, and is as solidly built as you would expect from a Porter-Cable professional tool. It also fits the 6xx series routers, in case you misplace one. So if you are like me and have four routers, you need one for backup in any case
- I have looked at a lot of these stands and used a few. This one is the baest I have used, a nd a great deal for $200.00. The cons are, it took about 30 minutes to assemble and the right extention is mounted off center so you do not use the entire roller.
- The collet fit perfectly in my P-C Router; the sides even align perfectly with those on the chuck when tightened. It was well packet and timely shipped, too. Thanks, I could not be happier with the collet.

2 comments about SVAT WSE201C Additional Camera for the WSE201C System.
- The camera served the us well. Night vision is a little grainy but you could make out the mare in the stall. The weather did effect the reception (thunderstorm) but we were still able to make out a faily good picture. The camera sure beat running to the barn every hour to check on mares. Well worth the money spent to get a few winks of shut eye during foaling season.
- I have this for my 4011 system. Its better than the silver spherical camera that came with the system mentioned earlier. The reception is better, motion detection is better, and the picture is clearer.
I've only had it for a few weeks so I don't know how it will work in the rain and cold. My only complaints are that the power cord is too short, the IR light is noticeable at night, and the camera doesn't swivel wide enough to extreme angles.

5 comments about Denali 93-Piece 1/4-, 3/8-, and 1/2-Inch Drive Socket Set, SAE/Metric.
- Very heavy duty, nice tools, not much more you could ask for in a socket set.
- I purchased this set of sockets after my Craftsman set was lost. I was unable to find a Sears set that contained only sockets with the ¼, 3/8 and ½ drives. There were sets that contained all three drives, but they also had other tools that I did not want.
I looked around the Internet and came across the Denali set. I read the reviews but was skeptical. I purchased the set anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. These are quality sockets, under $50 and free shipping. I placed my order and promptly received the tools.
Again, these are quality sockets! Don't be fooled by the small price.
- Much better than I expected. Nothing about them makes me wish my more expensive tools would reappear as magically as they disappeared.
- I bought this set after my Craftsman set was stolen. It's hard to find a socket set with all 3 ratchets. This set is a good replacement for my Craftsman set. It is heavy duty. I was very impressed when I received it and would recommend to anybody.
- I lent one of the sockets to a neighbor (bad move right?)He had tried to use it to take off a stuck lug nut on his old beater.the wrench he had used (not the ones from the set)was bent like candy cane, the socket, not a scratch.so i hand him a wrench from this set. After some serious pulling, the lug came off and the wrench and socket are just fine. Now don't go taking lugs off with these but i was suprized to see the strength of this tool set, also the metric and standard open end wrench sets Denali sells are amazing .Top Choice

5 comments about Anytime Tools 100+1 Piece Tamper Proof/security Screwdriver Bits and 1/4" Reversible Ratchet Screwdriver Handle.
- I was searching in my country for a kit like this and couldn't find it anyway I was searching for something special, I was in need for a Torx proof need it for disassembly the base from the hard disk of some old IBM, Dell And HP server.
Excellent, even was better than I Expected.
- The screwdriver bits are very sturdy. The reversible rachet handle is strong and feels good in the hand because of its heft and rubberized handle and decent contouring.
The orange case is a bit gaudy but snaps shut without problems.
Only caveat, don't lose the foam padding sheet which keeps the bits in place when you close the case Otherwise, many bits will be shaken out of position. I lost mine, but fixed the problem by manually cutting a foam insert from other packing material.
- if you are trying to use the Tri-Wing screwdriver to Open Your Nintendo Wii, please do not Buy it... but if your reason is different, i will recommended to buy..
- I bought 5 sets of this product. One for myself and 4 for gifts. I gave on to my Dad, one to my brother, one to my father-in-law and one to my brother-in-law. Five stars from all of us.
I also bought the 33 piece security bit set to go with it. Both have come in handy with my iMac, Mac Book, Dell and Toshiba. The screwdriver has come in handy for big jobs too. I used it to install 5 closets worth of Elfa. It's a great screwdriver for any size job. Sturdy and well made. Has a magnetic head, which helps with the little stuff.
I put my old flat and phillips head screwdrivers in storage. Now I only carry this one with the bit sets in my Bucket Boss.
Great product.
- Purchased to use for game and PDA access. Has almost every type of security bit needed to open controllers, consoles, PDA's and cell phones. The metal used for these bits is not the strongest so make sure you use these tools carefully as the bits can "shave" or "chip". No complaints since I started using them. Great way to get a bundle at a low price.
