5 comments about Fellowes 99090 Mighty 8 Surge.
- I chose this model because of its compact design since I am using it on top of a table where I plug in a laptop and external monitor. It's laid out well to allow multiple power bricks to plug in easily. I haven't yet had a severe power spike (fortunately), so I cannot comment on how well it will protect the equipment.
- I love the design of this thing, but it didn't protect my equipment -- a power surge fried one of my RAM modules and one of my hard drives.
- I know you are not supposed to but tons of plugs into one outlet, but these days what are you going to do with all these electronics? I like the arrangement of these outlets so that you can use the large transformer type plugs and not block (thus waste) other outlets. The price was reasonable for this product as well.
- I got this power strip to use with my media center, and it works pretty well.
Pros:
- Cheap and good quality.
- Dedicated ports for power bricks.
- Creative design saves a bit of space.
- Lengthy cord.
- Flat plug design.
Cons:
- The design of the plug means that it blocks the bottom wall outlet if you plug it into the top outlet. A right-angle plug would have been much better.
- The cord is stiff, making it difficult to position the surge protector.
- The creative design means that cables will cross over each other when you use all the outlets.
Overall, it's very good for the price, but if you're like me and you like to keep your cables neat, this surge protector can be a little tricky.
- Used for a home made Computer work bench system. This item worked quite well and also saved me a bundler compared to more higher prices extensions.

5 comments about Racor PLB-4R Free Standing Four Bike Rack.
- A little hard to assemble, putting 4 big bikes on is not easy to accomodate, but the rack does the job.
- This has been utilized daily for my sons' bikes ever since it arrived. This has been a great purchase. Somewhat easy to assemble, although my husband had to creatively make some new holes as they didn't line up correctly. I can't see using it with 4 adult bikes, but it's perfect for the kid size bikes.
- Recently purchased the Racor free standing bike rack. The rack was easily assembled in a short amount of time. Some reviewers have commented on having difficulty getting 4 bikes on the rack. Although it took a few tries to get the hooks at the correct heights, once everything was set I had no trouble getting all 4 bikes (2 road, 2 MTB) on the rack. I am 6'3" -- my bikes occupy a lot of real estate -- and my wife is 5'2", so maybe the big size difference makes it easier for us to store the bikes. We have a small house with a small garage, so this rack is a huge space saver for us -- we even added hooks to the open holes on the upright for hanging our helmets, gloves, etc. All in all, this was an excellent investment for freeing up space and organizing the area where we store our bikes.
- The product arrived early, was intact and assembled quickly. I have four full-size bikes hanging on it in the garage. It's exactly what I expected and I would recommend it to anyone.
- the rack is nice and functional. bigger than i expected, but we rent so we can't hang hooks in the walls or ceiling. somewhat difficult to lift bikes off the rack when near a wall. rack hangs bikes well for quick mechanical maintenance. easy to move location of hangers all along the stand.

5 comments about Westinghouse 75750 8-Inch LED Umbrella Light.
- This light is the neatest thing I've gotten in a long time for my outdoor area. I have two tables with umbrellas, and there are times when lighting the torches is too much trouble. Further, we like to have lighting for the table when eating outside after dark. This light puts off just the right amount of light, is subtle on the umbrella pole, and turns on and off easily. I am SO pleased with this product!
- I bought two of these as a gift for my parents and these lights work great! Very easy to assemble and use!
- I wanted to something without any cords to get tangled that was small and easy to use. This round disc splits in half and you have to reassemble to the two halves around the umbrella pole. The problem is that you need to remove it to close the umbrella properly. Additionally as we all know LED lights can be very bright and provide harsh lighting. While LEDs may be fine for flashlights and such, they don't set the right mood for an calm night on the patio. I guess I'll have to look for a hard wired permanent solution.
- I recently added an addition onto my deck and was able to add a outdoor table and umbrella. I searched around for lights and this one seemed the best value. We put it up and used it the first night! It works great for the price! The rubber piece to hold it up seems to slip everyone once in a while but overall worth it for the inexpensive cost. I would suggest this product.. In fact I have to a couple neighbors whom already had lights but bought this one instead! Thanks
- I had high expectations when purchasing this item. When placing it on my umbrella poles it doesn't have the shine or light coming down as I had expected. I wouldn't buy it again, or give one as a gift. I was quite dissappointed.

5 comments about Rubbermaid FG5157RDBLUE Flex & Seal Divided Rectangle Food Storage Container.
- Comes in real handy for left overs. Much better quality than some others I have bought.
- I have always liked Rubbermaid products - and this unit is a fraction of the price of its counterpart from Tupperware with similar functionality. My husband uses these divided units to take leftovers to work for lunch. They hold-up well in the microwave, and also fit easily in the dishwasher for thorough cleaning.
- The lids don't fit without a lot of fiddling and the divider doesn't go to the top so food spills over into other compartment. Not what I was expecting for the price.
- Very handy to have a divided food storage container. It holds plenty and stores in the frige easily.
- I've always been a true Rubbermaid fan. Historically, the products have stood head and shoulders above the competition. About 5 years ago, I purchased the 20+ piece set from Costco and promptly subjected them to heavy usage. Just about every container in the set has been used about once a week, sometimes more. I usually use the upper rack of the dishwasher to clean.
As you can imagine, the lids have all started to loosen up and fall off if the container is tipped over or subjected to shock. What a mess. I was expecting leakage but loosing all the contents? After systematically testing all the pieces, it was clear the whole set has seen it's useful days and you can only expect to hold onto the contents if the container is treated most gently and remains upright the whole time.
I am a little disappointed. Previous Rubbermaid products have had stiffer lids (harder to remove but lasted forever) and the containers lasted until I accidentally melted the container in the microwave, dropped it from great heights while completely frozen or other acts of great abuse.
Therefore, I went to the Costco to check out their selection of food containers and did a careful inspection. Of the display sets, only Rubbermaid and Snapware demo containers survived the hordes of enthused shoppers in working condition. I know, very unscientific test. Don't get me wrong, I still think Rubbermaid makes a quality product much better than many out there but I've decided to try the Snapware and see what happens.

5 comments about Dremel 670 Mini Saw Attachment.
- Fine for cutting thin wood or plastic. I wish it cut deeper - say up to 1/2 inch. Also wish there was a way to manually move the blade protector out of the way while cutting.
- I bought this to trim some 1/4" plywood from underneath a cabinet (couldn't get a chisel in there) and it worked just OK. To cut about a 1 foot section took about 10 minutes with a ton of burning and smoking of the blade and grinding to a halt (absolutely no torque) when met with a bit of resistance. It might work ok for balsa wood, but for anything else it is too weak a blade (carbide tipped would be better). Also, the blade guard is annoying because you can't get flush up to your edge (leaves about 1/8" or so of wood still along the joint). It's also annoying how you have to change out the head unit of your dremel, making it time consuming to switch back to normal collet and bits.
- The integral safety shield is a good idea but it gets in the way of seeing the path of the blade. It also means that whatever you are cutting must not have any protrusions that might obstruct the path of the saw/shield.
It did do a good job when we replaced our kitchen counter.. the old top was glued solid to the formica backsplash which we managed to save.
- I use my mini-rip saw all the time; it's absolutely essential to my art work. But I can't recommend it without a few comments.
First: that safety housing around it is so bulky that you cannot really see where the blade is going to go, exactly. This is fine if you're cutting something roughly, and you don't care within an 1/8 of an inch where the blade touches your work, but otherwise it's maddening. When I first bought it I tried it for a few cuts then put it aside to return. Instead what I did was attach it into one Dremel and use my other one, with a diamond cut-off wheel inserted, and lop the whole front of that silly cage off. If you do this, be mindful of where it is sealed to keep in the lubricating oil, and leave the back face of the safety on to help you keep the blade straight up and down. Once you do this little surgery, of course, you're out of warrantee, but then, WOW! this little guy is super handy! It's a detail saw with a dream-kerf of about a millimeter. Make SURE you wear goggles, now, dust and bits are going to fly.
Second: I don't know the solution to this second problem. I used my mini-saw so much, for so long, cutting through tempered hard-board that the blade got quite overheated and warped. When I finally realized I should have changed it a while ago, I found that the screw holding it in had fused to the blade and I couldn't get it off. The spindle-lock for the tool gave out before the screw moved, and I ended up bending the shaft of the saw trying. I would have returned it to Dremel, but since I had cut off the safety as I described, there was no chance. Ultimately I decided I had gotten far more than my money's worth out of the tool anyway, and bought a new one. I still use it every day. I guess I'm just going to have to be careful to change the blade sooner this time.
- this tool is almost too small. i have found very few uses where a simple cut-off wheel would not do just as well. the accessory does a fine job when you do find the right situation, however.

5 comments about Victorinox Swiss Army Huntsman Pocket Knife (Red).
- The knife was a Christmas gift for my grandson. It is a quality knife with many features. He loved it and has not cut himself yet. It will be great for his camping trips.
- I love this knife. I carry it in my purse or backpack. It goes with me everywhere, except on airplanes :-( I've had a use for all of the blades and they are wonderful.
The only thing I don't care for is the hook. It is used in Europe to carry their string bags. I have not found a use for it here in the US. I would just as soon not carry the extra weight. My old knife had another tool instead of the hook, which would be much more preferable.
Yeah, Victorinox! Another great product. (Get rid of the hook for the US market and you'll get 5 stars. :-)
- Overall a good tool, however it is difficult to open the tools, actually broke my nail trying to open it. However did use it to clip my nails. Have not used it much though. Sturdy good product.
- I bought a few of these as gifts for my family and everybody loved them. I cannot find any faults with these portable knives, so here are the positives:
1) Price! $20 for a quality piece of Swiss hardware is awesome! :)
2) Made in Switzerland.
3) Sharp tools, solid construction. Even plastic body feels solid.
4) Makes a great gift!
Highly recommended.
- This knife is well made and affordable. It has all sorts of useful gadgets for camping and backpacking. The knives are sharp and all of the tools move easily.

3 comments about Stanley Consumer Storage 014166 Double Sided Organizer Black and Clear.
- I currently use two of these organizers and am very happy with them. One has all my electrical small parts and the other has 1/2" and 3/4" copper fittings. I looked for a long time to try to find organizers that would work for these items and these are real good. Adjustable dividers allow for customizing. The one I have copper fittings in feels like its a little over its carrying capacity but has yet to give me any signs of failure.
It seems a little odd that these are sold as "tool organizers" - I'm not sure what sort of tools you'd organize in bins like these - but they are great for small parts. I'm getting a third one - highly recommended.
- I have several of these containers and they are great. I use them for spare bolts, screws, etc as well as sorting my Heroscape miniatures. Perfect for both.
- This is great for all the little parts I have accumulated over the years. It is pretty sturdy too.

5 comments about Freud D0724X Diablo 7-1/4-Inch 24 Tooth ATB Carbide Framing Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch and Diamond Knockout Arbor.
- I started using Freud Diablo blades about 5 years ago because I found that they are extremely well balanced, make exceptionally fast ,smooth, splinter free cuts. Even there framing blades are smooth enough for finish work. I am a professional finish carpenter and will settle for nothing less. If a store I'm shopping for blades does'nt carry these I leave to shop for them elsewhere. They cost a little more than your run of the mill blades(the yellow ones) but are well worth the few extra bucks and will last 10 times longer. Professional tip: After using any blade for a long period of time they tend to collect pitch in the blade tips, the blade may not be dull, just dirty. I pull them from the saw and soak them for a few days in turpentine, this will help release the pitch from the blades.
- These blades beat the others hands down. Almost too good for just framing. Cuts through wood like butter. You pay a little more for them but the results make the cost worth it.
- Bought 5 of these at a promo price.Used these in my V28 and 18 volt Milwaukee circular saws.Extremely fast cuts with this blade and is a comparable alternative to buying the Milwaukee Endurance Saw blade.Cheaper than the Dewalt combo bade set at my local Lowe's and far superior to the Dewalt.Save a lot if you buy more than one.Pleased with product and has withstood construction site tests.
- I've been using this blade for quite some time now and so far it has yet to need sharpening. Plus the thin kerf adds a noticeable boost of power to my 13amp Craftsmen Circular saw. It used to slow down on some thicker cuts but now it glides right through with ease. Plus you gotta love that red color... If this blade ever goes down, I'll buy the same thing again.
- Freud makes the best saw blades and this is no exception. Really thin kerf but still strong to take any abuse you might throw at it.

5 comments about Suncast DB8000B Deck Box with Wheels.
- At one point several months ago Amazon offered this item at $69.00 with no tax or shipping. That was the best that could be done for a product of this type on Amazon. While I hated to pay that much, it has served its purpose on my patio. It really is easy to assemble because I, the mechanically challenged, did it in about 15 minutes; most could probably do it in less time. Okay, part of that time was taking it out of the heavily packaged box it came in. It looks nice too; I wanted the green accent because my patio furniture and umbrella are also green. The plastic is durable, and I expect this to last several years.
- This is a nice spacious hard plastic box that we are keeping on our deck. It holds a lot of our kids outdoor toys and is exactly what we needed.
- This storage box was a great buy and looks nice for being made of plastic. You will have to put this together, but for the most part it's pretty straight forward. I did make the mistake of putting one piece on backwards and it was a pain to get it apart to correct.
Pros
- Easy to assemble
- Very sturdy
- Nice looks and color for molded plastic.
- Protability is nice feature
Cons
- Too light when empty. It would be nice if there was a way to put sand to keep in place.
- Top door does not latch or lock shut.
- This fits nicely on our deck, and holds an extreme amount of yard equipment, so in that regard it is wonderful. We however purchased it for the wheels, which turned out to be small long cylinders, that do not work.
- This is the perfect size for our patio. The pads for two chairs, a sofa and a swing fit in it nicely with some room to spare. Also, an hour after I put it on the patio it rained really hard and everything stayed dry. My one complaint is that no matter what people say, the assembly is quite an experience. The instructions are clear but the snapping together is not easy. But wait till you get to add the lid. That took a good 20 minutes of my husband and me sitting on it hard and repeatedly hitting it with a mallet. It finally came together but by then we really needed a drink!

5 comments about Pro-Quality 3/8" 10-80 Foot-Pound Automatic Torque Wrench.
- Works well. Reading the settings requires my reading glasses, but overall, I am very satisfied.
- I am a full time mechanic. I did not feel the need for a snap-on wrench at this time because i needed this wrench for the lower value foot lbs. The wrench works well and is accurate and should last me awhile with heavy use.
- For a once-in-awhile use this is a FINE tool. I suspect a mechanic wouldn't want to use it day in a day out, but for the price it's nice to have around.
- The Pro quality 3/8" 10-80 Foot Pound wrench was needed by me as it also does Newton measurements which I need for my motorcycle as everything on it is metric. It handles both. Good product, reasonable price and a handy carrying case to boot.
- I ordered this wrench because it described Newton-meter measurement. Here's a quote:
"Hard-to-find lower torque settings in 3/8" drive; 10-80 foot-pounds (13 - 108 Newton-meters)"
In actuality, it has Ft-lbs and m-Kgs and comes with a conversion chart. Which is precisely the reason why I didn't order the Sunex torque wrench.
This wrench is crap. Use your money to get a better quality brand.
