1. Took me a long time to find a canister vac. Finally through Amazon. After using my Hoover, the carpet feels almost like new, fluffy and clean. Only I do have a Sheltie with long hair. I do clean the power head before every use, as it does fill up with hair. I think that would happen with any vac with a power head. Other that that it works good. Only have had it for 1 1/2 months. Had a small Hoover that was great! and it lasted at least 20 years, wheels fell off, but still the best vac that I ever had. I will always use a Hoover. Through Amazon, it was a great price, and had it within a week.



2. When I recieved my bags in the mail I was bummed to find out that they were not the right kind for my vac even though my model was listed as one of the compatible vac's in the description. Oh well... I guess I will stick to buying my bags in a physical store from now on.



3. This is a great product for anyone with allergies, pets or who lives in a dusty area.

1. I've used this rather unique light for a little over a month now, and am completely pleased with the results. I work in a 9' x 6' cubicle, lit only by the hanging fluorescents, which actually make my work space feel cavernous. The Verilux light immediately makes its presence known, and almost completely cancels out my awareness of the yellowish, sickly cast fluorescents. I do not find myself getting heavy bouts of sleepiness anymore and am generally more alert. Whether or not all of those physiological and emotional changes can be correlated to the Verilux or it is just placebo, the independent virtue of this lamp is in making me temporarily forget about the carcinogenic, pathetically unflattering aesthetic of the ceiling lights.



2. After my HappyLite arrived in the mail, I found it easy to put together and was using it in minutes. When you put it together you might think the pieces are a bit dinky, but this little light (which I keep on the side of my desk, next to my laptop) has changed my mood for the better. I currently live in Oregon, and the gray winter (and yes, a lot of the spring) definitely changes my mood. I've used it every day, and have experienced great results. I primarily use it on the "half" setting, which is bright enough for me. As others have commented, it can seem too bright the first couple of times. Just follow the positioning instructions (included) and you'll acclimate quickly. Once assembled, it's attractive and takes up very little space.



3. I've purchased various floor & table lamps to try to get even near this level of brightness for playing my electronic keyboard. This light sits flat on the keyboard, to the left of the book & near the keys, and I can see perfectly - for once. This also puts it at the perfect position (1-2 feet, angled, from my eyes) to give me the "light therapy" benefits, and I find it really does work. A bit too much. I usually sleep like a baby, but found I had trouble sleeping when I used this light in the evening. It does warn about that in the guide - I guess it's true. For my use, this light is worth the $90 (plastic container & all).



4. I purchased the lamp over a month ago. The lamp arrived over a week after I ordered it and it had a broken light bulb. I called the company, and they were very polite and offered to pay for the return shipping. It took a few days for them to send me the mailing label, and the shipping they do takes 7 days. Here I am over a month later, still w/ no lamp. I received an Email about 8 days ago saying they had shipped the lamp, but I still don't have it. So, I can't do a review on the product. But I am very disappointed w/ all the delays in getting and returning the light. This shouldn't take over a month to be handled.



5. Verilux Natural Spectrum HappyLite Mini Ultra, Silver
   I use a larger scale version of this light by Verilux. I sent my sister this desktop version and she is already getting good results. If you have SAD - this light definitely works as good as an antidepressant and it also enhances the effect of your antidepressant if you have a chemical imbalance like I do.
   Only the summer sunlight helps SAD - so this light is great for the other 3 seasons.

1. I was very satisfied with this product. The two men I bought them for were very happy.



2. I am building a 50x40 deck with 12" joist spacing. This product has worked very well. Absolutely no problems. Could't have done without it.



3. I bought this as an adjunct to my growing collection of nail-guns.
   I've been a very active handy-man for years; just a few years ago I developed an arthritis-like problem with the joints in my hands and wrists that makes nailing quite painful. So I've been buying and using nail guns. Of course, you have to buy nailers for framing, finish, roofing, siding,...
   This little gun can eliminate the need for them all. Of course, its because I don't install siding or roofing for a living that I can make that statement. But if you drive nails more than occasionally, but not really enough to justify the special-purpose gun...I guarantee this fill fill the gap. I've used it fairly extensively, without pain to my hands.



4. The palm nailer is very handy for getting into hard-to-reach spots such as rafters to nail metal hurricane strips. I have arthritic wrists which can make hammering difficult but the palm nailer is easy on them.



5. I defy anyone to find this tool for more than $90. So where on earth did Amazon come up with a price of $162? How can they continue to make claims that they are saving you big $$$? It's a good tool, if you need it, buy it but don't think that Amazon is doing you any big favors except waiving the shipping costs.

5 comments about Toro 8-Inch 12-Volt Cordless Electric Trimmer #51467.

1. Worked good overall.Seemed to have plenty of power for a rechargeable unit.Great for touchup,or small areas.



2. I owned this product for a just little over one year and it already stopped holding its charge. When it did work, it was a huge strain on your arms for such a small trimmer. I have had gas trimmers that were easier to hold.



3. I purchased this trimmer to replace an old cordless Toro that finally gave out after 10 years. This trimmer is a big improvement over the old by being lighter in weight and well balanced. I'm disappointed by the short operating time and by the long recharge time. Even with a relatively small yard it loses power before I'm done with the whole yard, and the recharge time is long, about 24 hours. The cutting swath is very small but it works fine for trimming grass the lawn mower misses, especially around trees, fences, and foundations.



4. The Toro cordless trimmer has plenty of power--even after 45 minutes of use. I also own the Black & Decker 18 volt cordless trimmer with 2 removable batteries. The Black and Decker loses its power in less than 20 minutes--sometimes 15.
   
   I store the Toro unplugged, and it holds its charge for over 6 weeks. Try that with the Black & Decker 18 volt cordless trimmer. The Black and Decker loses most of its power in less than 2 weeks.
   
   The Toro doesn't always win over the Black & Decker, however. The B&D is superior for trimming grass along a sidewalk. It's also more ergonomic and weighs much less. I do, however, get tired of replacing the batteries every 15 minutes and having to recharge 2 batteries after every use.
   
   Overall, the Toro is a great value for the money. It is a little heavy, but that's due to the large battery. If you have extremely light trimming to do, especially along a sidewalk, definitely get the Black & Decker 18 volt cordless trimmer. If you have lots of trimming to do and can deal with the extra weight, definitely get the Toro. It runs longer, stronger, and, depending on how long you use it, you don't have to recharge it after every use.



5. I ignored the reviews and bought this trimmer, the price was hard to ignore and if it turned out to be a mistake I would try to return it or just junk it.
   
   After a month this has performed like a charm. Plenty of power, battery lasts at least 30 minutes and the small foot print is not an issue for me. I cut the big areas with my lawn-mower.
   
   It is essential for the handle to be seated properly or else you will not get full power, just a tip when you snap things together upon assembly.
   
   Replacing the string is easy, but it in bulk and wind it yourself, not difficult at all.
   
   I have trashed by gas powered trimmer since this little guy does all I need it to do.
   
   Good performance for a low price. BTW you can use a stronger thicker line with it if you desire.

5 comments about Makita BML185W 18V LXT Flashlight.

1. I have the White and Blue LXT 18v drills and the Blue flashlight and was tricked into thinking I needed this White version of the LXT 18V flashlight because the White LXT batteries do not fit the Blue LXT style flashlights or drills etc. But upon receiving the new White flashlight it was quite clear that the Whites and the Blues are identical even the part numbers what Makita had done to prevent using White batteries on Blue tools was to place a plastic stop tab in the sliding groove of their tools, a sharp utility knife took care of it and now I can use any battery on which ever tool I desire. I think that was low down of Makita to pull a stunt like that to boost sales that is why I am giving it one star. PS I guess this method will work on any of their accessories ie Radios, etc.



2. The BML185W is a newer version of the blue BML185 and takes both 1.5Ah and 3.0Ah batteries. When used with the 1.5Ah batteries, this is very light and powerful flashlight. The on/off switch also works well. If you are looking for an 18V LXT flashlight, get this one if you want to use 1.5Ah batteries.



3. This is a good light, but I'm a little disappointed in its light output. I was hoping for a little more brightness. On the "bright" side, the battery life is incredible.



4. this light is good with the different positions you need in getting a job done,, I just think It was just too light, and not heavy duty enough (It feels like if I were to drop it, it would break easily,) and the light is not as powerful as I thought it should be,,. But it gets the job done,, as long as your careful with it,,. If you have more heavy duty jobs, than you might want a more heavy duty light than this one,,.. but it completes my makita drill and compact drill set,, so I'm happy!



5. Since I own other Makita 18volt tools,the purchase of this flashlight was a nobrainer at the price being asked by Amazon.I can find no faults with this product.

1. This product does an excellent job killing the mosquito larvae that grow in standing water. You can put it into puddles that have nowhere to drain after rain. We have many fewer mosquitos on our property since we started using this product.



2. Worked great for me - I live in a rural area with a lot of woods around the house. Just spread it around - specially in those still standing water spots (even if they seem dried out, or just "moist"). I had results after about a week. Will buy this again ...!
   
   Note: seeing all those so called "get rid of mosquitoes" products made me very skeptical about products like this. This one however did the trick for me!

1. I think this product is terrible. Rats are wonderful creatures, and while I can understand not wanting to have them in your house, they don't deserve to be electrocuted to death. If you need to get rats out of your house, there are humane ways to do it. Please look into those.



2. We live on 200 acres so we are prime targets for mice. This sounds bad, but we caught 9 mice in 24 hours! One on the night we got it, one during the next day. Then that night after everyone was in bed, I set it up. I went into the kitchen a while later, and the light was blinking. So I emptied it and set it back up. I heard it buzzing and went back... Another one!! This happened 6 more times before I finally went to bed. This was amazing. Our spring traps were not working. We set them out and one night saw two mice jumping around on top of the trap, and it never went off! I am so glad to have the mice gone!



3. If you have a chipmunk infestation this thing will take care of those critters as well; just put in some sunflower seeds and you'll get one every day. Batteries only last for about 10 kills, however.



4. I am very glad I purchased the Rat Zapper. Before I did, I let my pesticide company try to clean out my basement of rats. They set snap traps with peanut butter. They got 2 or 3, but then the rats stayed clear of the traps. I continued to set the traps myself, but rarely got any more rats, even though I knew they were there! And when I did, the clean up was not pretty, and in one case, the rat wasn't dead yet (it reminded me of the Black Knight from Monty Python's "The Search for the Holy Grail", but this wasn't funny - it was sad). So I purchased the rat zapper. It didn't work at first - because I lacked patience. I learned quickly to let the rats take the bait for at least 2 or 3 nights before energizing it. After that, every night the zapper caught and killed a rat, for seven straight nights. Unfortunately, several months later, I have a new rat family in my basement. Guess I still have work to do making sure there are no rat entrances to the basement. But the rat zapper, with the same batteries I used the first time around (the type recommended in the instructions), has caught 4 more rats in 2 days. So that's 11 kills and counting so far with one set of batteries (Energizer E2 Lithium batteries). The killed rats are easy to dispose of also - no mess - just dump the contents of the zapper into a plastic bag, tie it off, and throw it out. Excellent product.



5. I highly recommend this tool. I wasn't even sure I had mice in my apartment, since my traditional trap caught just one. I caught another one a few days after having bought this rat zapper, and before I had any evidence of its presence (like mouse poop).

3. Not much to say for an economical detector. It has no frills, but its cheap price allows you to install more than would otherwise be the case. My advice is be sure you can easily get at them because when it goes off, you have to take out the battery to stop it. It will go off at the scent of smoke, so be ready for false alarms -- installation location is critical to your sanity.



4. I like the smaller size. Nice compact piece of equipment. I can't review how well it works, which is actually a good thing, as it means I haven't needed to use it!! I purchased several of these for my home and my rental property.
   
   Good price.

1. This arrived in great condition. Will work fine for my Grandson at the race track. This product is sold by Outdoor Gear Company, Fargo ND.
   The only downfall was it took almost 2 weeks from ordering to get a E-Mail telling me they received the order, then 5 more days to recieve by usps. So I advise to buy it if you are not in a hurry. The price was very competitive.



2. I own 6 models of ear protection (1 AO Safety and 5 Peltor). This pair is is built like a Peltor H9A but with a smaller head band for smaller kid-heads - and says AO Safety on it...maybe that is the same company now, I don't know. Anyway, it is better quality that the red AO Safety 19 or 20 dB model I own that I dispise for the inability to easily get the two ear cups apart and oriented in the correct direction. There is also a pink model similar to this one that I own for pink-loving kids. I recommend these if you have kids that are around noisy activities.



3. I bought 2 pairs of these and I really like them. My 1 yr old daughter loves just wearing them around. My 2 yr old plays drums, as does his dad, so they wear their ear muffs whenever they are playing.
   Shipping was quick.



4. Product worked great for protecting his ears during a recent Monster Jam show, but the earmuffs are NOT adjustable. My son is only 2 and they barely were large enough to cover both of his ears. If they adjusted, I would give them 5 stars, but he will not be able to wear them by next year.
