2 comments about Storage (Chic Simple) (Chic Simple Components).
- I was looking foward to reading this little book but was somewhat disappointed. While the pictures, quotes, and interesting diaglog were amusing as usual with Chic simple books, it didnt' give absolute information about the best ways to store things.
- Storage is not a step-by-step how-to book. It will not give a to do list of things to make one's storage problems suddenly vanish. Instead it is a small set of suggestions divided up my topic (either by storage device or by room). Most often the book gives multiple suggestions for a type of storage problem instead of one correct way. I liked this approach to the problem; it is okay to be different when tackling storage problems.
Storage for all its gloss and full color photography does have some practical advice about storage and de cluttering. What I liked best about the book is how it gives many different options to accomplish a storage problem without pushing one option over another.

1 comments about 101 Essential Tips: Removing Stains.
- You name it, it's in here. This goes beyond the Grease-On-The-Tie type stains, it actually gave some great advice on scratched up wood, stained mattresses and grease marks on books! And a deal at this price.

2 comments about 500 Terrific Ideas for Cleaning Everything.
- This book was very well organized and informative in terms of cleaning for less money.
The author gave a list of cleaners and what they are used to clean. For example a good all purpose cleaner is neutral in ph making it good for most dirt. Grease has a negative ph (acidic) therefore you need an alkaline cleaner( a good degreaser) Mr. Aslett states you need 4 types of cleaners to clean most anything. 1) an all purpose cleaner, 2) a heavy duty/degreaser
3) a glass cleaner and 4) a disinfectant. He recommends going to a janitorial store and purchasing industrial strength cleaners which are not only much cheaper but stronger. He leaves no questions unanswered and even gives you an address to write to find cleaning supplies like a pet rake which he states is the best tool for removing animal hair from furniture or clothes. He includes cleaning advice on appliances, basements, bathrooms, beds, carpets, doors, drains, floors, furniture, kitchen, laundry, masonry, mats, tiles, walls and ceilings, window areas, wood floors, and vehicles. The book lists cleaning suggestions by numbering them 1 to 500 with a paragraph or two underneath each number so it is quick reading and quick to reference ...
- This book is very lightweight, containing suggestions like *empty trash before going on vacation and *toss out fruit before going on vacation. I plan to return it.
