- I love it. It has a great picture quality and sound. Color is great.
Love the small size and easy to operate.
- I wish it had a video input so I could use it as a monitor, but other than that, it's great.
- This is my second Casio Portable TV. We live 95 miles from the nearest
station and we get usable signals from most of the stations. My first portable lasted 4 years and still performs, but it's getting worn out.
I have no complaints except that the screen is a bit small.
- Good product but not compatible with new digital TV.....in one year it will be obsolete. I do not recommend new purchase.
- Needed this for in-car baby monitor application. Picture is OK for this use, but I can't imagine watching TV on it. Be warned: the specs on Amazon say this TV has an AV input (the yellow, white, red wires) but the 980-B does not. The instruction manual is for both the model 980-B and 980-N. The 980-N does have an AV input. I was able to add this input myself to the 980-B by soldering the jack on the board (don't try this at home unless you are an electronics expert). The 980-B has all the circuits necessary, you just have to add your own wire to the board.

- Cheap and value priced: About $200.00 retail less than comparable LCD TVs but you get what you pay for.
Decent picture: However, you MUST use the video or component inputs to get a good picture. The "ant" input is horrible and will show every flaw in your cable connection. I did not see anything wrong with my tube TV until I replaced it with this one, then I immediately saw ghosts and noise. I ended up replacing my cable run to the bedroom with quad-shielded cable and upgraded my splitters from standard cable to the digital bandwidth variety which provided the increased bandwith that is necessary to provide the best possible digital cable reception (there's also splitters designed for HD as well). I cannot overstress the importance of making sure that your "splitter" matches your type of cable service (e.g., standard, digital or HD) to receive the best possible picture from your new set. In addition, the viewing angles are extremely limited. You must be "dead-on-center" to get a good picture. Even the slightest deviation (from center) will "wash-out" the picture. In my case, that's not a problem because my TV is viewed from a fixed location in the bedroom and never have a need to look at it from an angle. And finally, this TV must be viewed from a reasonable distance to get a flaw-free picture (even with a pristine cable connection). From what I've read, LCD TVs are not as good at processing quick scene changes and sometimes the lag is noticable; however, at the proper viewing distance, those lags become tolerable. In my case, I had to push the new LCD TV back an additional 2 feet (from where I had my 19 inch tube set) to get those lags to a tolerable level. This TV has a 12ms response time and the better LCDs have an 8ms response time. I don't know if that makes a difference for TV reception but I do know that it will make a big difference if you attempt to use this as a PC monitor and one of your kids trys to play a top-end game. Also, I have heard that Olevia support is basically non-existant or difficult to reach so consider a supplemental warranty if available for a reasonable price. And finally, one of the most important pieces of information you'll need. To turn the TV "on or off" from your universal cable remote control, you can use the code for an LG brand TV which is "0056."
In summary, I can't make any final recommendations because I have no basis for comparison as this is my first-ever LCD TV. However, I can tell you that my wife "loves it" so I guess all the extra work "paid-off" in the end.
- I am rating this unit one star due to an on-going service/support problem I am experiencing with the unit. After a year of very light use, the unit lost 1200 pixels - "stuck" on purple all the time. Manufacturing problems can occur to an otherwise good product, but the true test of a company, in my opinion, is it willingness to stand behind their product and resolve their customer's issue. This is especially true with a new brand which has not yet established a track record. To date they have been unwilling to work with me, but I am hopeful we can work it out - I'll undate my review then.
Techically, the contrast range of this LCD is not capable of showing both deep blacks and highlight detail at the same time. This makes movie watching a poor experience, but I've found it suitable for general viewing, children's cartoons, etc.
Of course, once you loose 1200 pixels, the picture quality doesn't matter that much and you can only hope the company will support you!
- I bought this TV as a birthday present for a friend, somewhat skeptical of the price considering the size of the unit. In reality, the TV turned out to be the best purchase I could have made - it works perfectly, it's unbelievably affordable, and it's got a great picture quality. The specs are identical to pricer models with brand names. I fully intend to get one for myself.
- REALLY GOOD, WITH GOOD & SHARP IMAGE. VERY SATISFIED. VERY FAST SHIPPING. THANK YOU.
- For the money it is not bad but many competitors offer HDTV which this isn't but the picture is good. I was disappointed when hooking it to my laptop. I got these flashing lines and changing settings and resolution didn't help. When I played a movie from a DIVX file on my laptop it disappeared and look pretty darn good.

3 comments about Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 1080 UB - LCD projector - 1600 ANSI lumens - 1920 x 1080 - widescreen - High Definition 1080p.
- I've only had it for a week or so but I absolutely love it so far. This replaces a Sanyo PLV-70 (2200 lumens; 720p). I don't have a dedicated home theater room so I deal with some ambient light. I was afraid that going down to 1600 lumens might be an issue but it has not. The 1080 UB is plenty bright.
I've read other reviews that have said the 1080 UB required significant picture adjustment out of the box. It seems to me that the brightest settings will require a decent amount of adjustment but I have not been using them. I have it set on Theater Black 1 (which I believe is 2 or 3 notches down from the brightest setting) and the picture was gorgeous out of the box.
I can definitely tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on my 120 inch screen (running Blu Ray disks from a PS3). The blacks and color richness from this projector are much better than my 5 year old Sanyo (which was plenty good). HD content via DirecTv also looks significantly better, which I assume is largely due to the much higher contrast of this projector and probably some better color capabilities as well.
This projector is also plenty quiet for me and it sits just a few feet away from me.
Overall, I am completely satisfied and very happy with this purchase so far.
- PURCHASE YOUR EPSON PRODUCT THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED DEALER OR FROM EPSON DIRECTLY.
This is not a review of this product, but rather a word to the wise... Two and half months after my purchase of an Epson 10000XL scanner through Amazon, it stopped working. Through the followup and tech support process I learned that, because I purchased through Amazon, the manufacturer nor the seller would honor the 1 year warranty. Epson's position is that Amazon is not an authorized seller and that they merely act as broker for what can often be re-furbished or second hand merchandise.
So, should your purchase break or malfunction, as mine did, you are out of luck with regard to warranty.
This lesson cost me $2400.00
- I have had it for two months with a 126 inch screen and dedicated home theater. Resolution, blackness, color are outstanding. A bargain for what you get...seriously impressive, and I am a videophile who wants the best.

4 comments about Magnavox 15MF237S 15-Inch LCD HDTV.
- Picture quality was excellent, set-up was a breeze, remote easy to use, sound quality is fine for a small set like this. I'm very happy with the Magnavox thus far and would be happy to refer to others!
- What a surprise to open and set up in 20 mins. And with the built in digital tuner, I didn't need a cable box. Just snagged all the digital channels coming through my cable (at no extra cost). Unfortunately, in the channel set up it also grabbed all these music channels too.
You do NOT want to use this to listen to music. Built in speakers are average for regular TV, and lousy for music. But hey! I bought it for the kitchen.
The only disadvantage so far is the power transformer that you have to have laying around somewhere. Otherwise the "footprint" is minimal.
Picture quality is fine and of course digital is great.
- I like this flat screen TV very much. I am very disappointed that this size TV has been discontinued. I needed a 15" square shaped TV because of limitations on dimensions where I was installing the TV. I am sure many other consumers may have the same issues. All new 15" TV's are actually a minimum of 18" wide which was not a dimension my space could handle. I actually had to purchase a refurbished TV so I am concerned that its lifespan maybe short. I know manufacturers are basing their dimensions on wide screen formatting. Too bad for those of us who have a hole to fill that is not suited for widescreen.
- A good TV overall, but a VERY annoying "feature" is the large, on-screen information display that obscures the screen every time the channel is changed. This display cannot be disabled and is very annoying when channel surfing.

5 comments about Toshiba 23HLV86 23-Inch LCD HDTV with DVD Player.
- I ordered the Toshiba 23HLV86 for x-mas. It came on time and all was as advertised. I like having the DVD as part of the TV as it saves space and minimizes cords etc. Only negative is the delay as you switch station to station - it takes longer then my old TV to switch.
- TV and DVD player work great. Picture is clear and sound is good. I ordered a good bracket to hang it on the wall. When you order a bracket make sure you buy a good one so it hol;ds the TV level.
- This is a perfect space saving bedroom tv. The DVD player is awesome and plays any disk you put in it - Divx, jpegs, mp3s, etc. Awesome for playing all those torrent downloads on something other than the computer! Sure the channel changing takes a little bit of time, but no more than most other lcd/hdtvs. I haven't noticed the heat being an issue - I have it wall mounted on a tilt mount - it does get a little warm, but it's not melting paint or anything!
- This is the perfect TV for my small den (approx. 9' x 12'). It fits inside a bookcase so it does not intrude on the room. Picture is great for both TV and the DVDs. This item is exactly as advertised - no complaints from me.
- We had high hopes for this combination TV/DVD player and it gets very light use in my daughter's room. Unfortunately, it has had problems over the past 3 months, not turning on at all, and after several weeks of "sometimes" working, it no longer powers on at all.
Save your money and buy a Sharp or Sony.

5 comments about Sony Bravia M-Series KDL-37M3000 37-Inch 720p LCD HDTV.
- I am working overseas and purchased this television for my Parents. we are so disappointed because the picture quality is very poor. My parents had the cable company come out to check the connections, and decided to change the cable connection from the pole to the television but the picture quality is still bad. We contacted Sony and they are sending a replacement TV to my parent's house under the warranty ,but my fear is that I have purchased a television that is made to a poor standard. Just hope that the replacement lives up to the quality that I expected from Sony
- FANTASTIC TV WITH A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE. BOUGHT IT ON SALE FOR $899 WITH FREE SHIPPING AND NO SALES TAX. I WAS A LITTLE WORRIED ABOUT BUYING A TV THROUGH THE INTERNET BECAUSE I WAS UNSURE IF WOULD ARRIVE SAFELY. IT WAS VERY WELL PACKED AND EASY TO SET UP. THE 37" WAS A GOOD CHOICE FOR OUR DEN. WE ARE THRILLED WITH IT. IT'S AMAZING ALL THE DETAILS IT PICKS UP THAT WE COULDN'T GET ON THE OLD SET. HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS ONE!
- This TV is so much superior to the Olevia 37" LCD that we purchased a two years ago. I only wish I had waited and purchased two of the Sony Bravia's instead. Much better at showing dark areas of the screen. Works great with my Apple TV, Sony DVD, and cable connection. You can count me as one VERY HAPPY customer!
- There may be other slightly cheaper brands with good looks or good picture quality, but none of them have both, like this Sony Bravia. Add to this the Sony name and competitive pricing, this Sony Bravia easily beats its competition.
The contrast is excellent and the display is bright. I think the picture quality actually beats my 46" Bravia I bought last year. I haven't used any yet but it's got plenty of input options, including VGA and HDMI ports. I highly recommend this set.
- The only problem with SONY TV's is that they, like the Energizer Bunny, keep going and going and going. My 1986 Sony 19 inch needed a big brother and after looking at Sharp and Samsung and others I concluded that the SONY LCD 37 inch Bravia 3000 was the logical choice. The 37 inch is large enough for the average sized living room, the remote simple and 'uncluttered' containing only the functions and features you will use 99% of the time, and nothing more. The menu system is easy to understand and interact with, and has my favorite feature, seemingly unique to SONY, the INFO BANNER, that displays the title of the program currently aired. The picture quality is excellent and does not have that overly emphasized contrast that many lesser brands use like a fishing lure to entice the unwary buyer. SONY, simply put, is a great product overall, and the Bravia LCD in particular is well designed having fantastic well balanced warm natural colors, sufficient controls to enhance picture and sound to your personal taste and an array of inputs that satisfy most needs. If there is any doubt, yes I am a loyal SONY customer because once you have had the best there is no substitute.

5 comments about Sony ICF-DVD57TV Under the Cabinet LCD-TV / DVD / CD Clock Radio.
- This TV is worth the extra $$, great picture and wonderful audio
- I love virtually everything about this product. If I am at home, I have it tuned to a local music/news TV station constantly. The sound quality and picture are terrific.
As for installation...I am a 75 year old lady and installing it under my cabinet took all of 25 minutes with no problem.
Based on my experience, my son bought the same TV. He was able to instal his in less than 30 minutes while taking care of his two small kids.
We're not sure what everyone's issue with installation was.
- My husband bought this same model for me and installed it for Mother's Day. It is exactly perfect for me in the kitchen. I can listen to my favorite talk radio or music DVD,watch OPRAH while I'm chopping up the veggies. It has great sound & color quality for watching your fav movie. It took my husband a little longer to install it b/c we had to mount it on an angled corner cabinet where there would be enough space for the LCD-TV monitor to swing down. He bought a refurbished unit and I have had no problems with it. We initially bought a cheap ($150) look alike @wal-mart-but the DVD player was broke and it was returned. My husband went right to Amazon, purchased this SONY and within a few days I was a Happy girl!
- Excellent product! I was glad to read about the warning regarding narrow Kitchen cabinets. With a little engenuity, you can still mount on the narrower kitchen cabinets as was necessary for me. You can either submount on a subplate which will project the TV slighly further out from the wall or build into the wall a small cavity (such as an electrical gang box) to accomodate/house the connecting wires.
- I am a middle aged woman. I installed this unit myself under the corner cabinet in my kitchen. I love it. It works beautifully and I use it almost daily. I have a smaller kitchen and can see it from anywhere in the kitchen and the sound is wonderful!

2 comments about Mitsubishi WD-73835 - 73" Diamond rear projection TV ( DLP ) - 120Hz - widescreen - 1080p (FullHD) - HDTV - high-gloss black pearl with blue light accent.
- Just bought the WD-73835 from OneCall. Got best price and free shipping as noted on the Amazon site. This is an incredible television. I upgraded from my prior set an HP 6580N DLP and the difference in size (25% larger than a 65" set), sharpness, color and brightness is remarkable. The colors are a little off out-of-the-box so the set is best tuned either with an ISF Calibration or for an experienced user with one of the varous tv tuning DVDs that are available.
You will NOT regret this purchase and OneCall's service is outstanding as well!
- I purchased this TV and had it delivered in time for the Olympics. My cable company actually seems to have broadcast NBC's HD channels with out over compressing them and the pictures are awesome. Please note that this is my first 1080p TV so I may be a bit too easy to impress. I have a Panasonic TH-42PX60U 42-Inch Plasma HDTV as well but they are not even in the same class.
I have a PS3 as well that I use as a Blu-Ray player. This is why I will never have to go to the movie theater again. The movies are stunning. Sitting at 9 feet (3 meters) from the set all your field of vision is filled without having to move your head.
Out of the box this TV was easy to use and operate. I do, however, recommend reading the manual as there are several features that you may not know exist if you do not.
In choosing this TV I had trouble finding reviews. This is because Mitsubishi seems to release a new model every year or less. I recommend looking at some of the prior models reviews. Here are a few I used (if the links still work):
* Mitsubishi Diamond Series WD-73833 - 73" rear projection TV ( DLP ) - 120Hz - widescreen - 1080p (FullHD) - HDTV
* Mitsubishi WD-73735 73-Inch 1080p DLP HDTV
