  1. 100's time I tried to purchase this product.
and always give me refund confirmation for my payment amount.
    it has never completed.
at one time I tried to purchase it from alphacraze after I complete the order they sent me a confirmation for replacement lamp.
now I made again with a1books in amazon it is return my payment for this resone.
I do not beleave thats offer is correct.
nobody leave any comment because nobody can buy it
    take care.

  2. This is not the only Amazon video projector price that is not accurate. I tried to buy a 3m video projector for $464.00 only to be told the same story about it being an Amazon error and that the actual product for sale was a replacement bulb for the projector. Folks, don't get your hopes up. In reality, $311.00 is the cost of a replacement bulb for this product; the real projector sells for much more. Amazon needs to work a little harder to make sure its ads are correct. These errors reflect on the professionalism of Amazon and ruin the public's faith in the company.

  1. The product and service is as bad as the ebay seller we purchased from- admarkproducts who sold unit refurbished under fraudulent claim that it was covered by original manufacturer's 1 yr warranty. On delivery and for two months we tried to verify the new registration warranty status. Once we got it plugged in we found the sound board was fried - horrible noise. Philips call center reps continuously followed mindless script affirming our warranty, but their web page never updated. Impossible to get any other Philips contact information. Eventually a rep called us, left message informing unit we purchased is 'unauthorized refurb'. Finally, after some 2 hours on the phone to Philips rep in Manila, explaining situation and faxing the paperwork for the 16th time, another rep called back, apologized for confusion, out of 'courtesy' extended us a gratis 90 day warranty. Then we had to pull teeth to get the local town dealer to service the unit as they had severed ties with Philips. Great, they replaced the sound board. Now as of tonight, mid-movie, the unit shut itself off and nothing will blink but a red led under the screen. Here we go again. Philips website expands on this condition on a number of its units, providing the enlightening: 50PF7320A/37 Power/battery Question My set is dead, has no power, and/or the LED is flashing. Answer Unit likely is in need of repair. Call Philips contact center at 1-888-PHILIPS (1-888-744-5477) for further assistance.
Oh boy, can't wait to check how the weather is in Manila again. Or maybe Tierra del Fuego this time... All thanks to admarkproducts, the liar on ebay. Highly recommend paying extra for top notch warranty if you fall for this consumer failure.

  2. I bought mine in January 2006. I was quite pleased with the set initially. In September 2007 the set started flickering; then it only the top half of the screen will show and then revert to a full screen after about 30 minutes.

Philips customer service cannot/will not help. A $3000 plus TV set ought to last for a little more than 18 months.

Please look at other brands and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT. And, please Google Philips plasma tv sets and see what others are experiencing with Philips' products.

  3. I purchased this Plasma 13 months ago, and while I didn't love it to begin with, it worked fine.
Now, ONE MONTH out of warranty, there is "red snow" all over the television, especially in dark spots (shadows, black clothing, etc).
In addition, HDMI 1 has died. DIED.

    BUYER BEWARE.

  4. I purchsed the Philips 50PF7320A 50" Widescreen Plasma HDTV through Amazon and
    Pavillion Electronics.

Pavillion Electronics customer service was awesome and will definitely purchase from them again.

  5. I purchased this plasma for my father to give to him for Christmas 2006. By Christmas 2007 I had to buy him a new one. First - notice how all the positive reviews comment on this plasma after owning it for only a few weeks? Check back with them now and see if they feel the same way!

This is a great plasma for the first few months, but after that the problems begin. The sound started going out on the set. No big deal, or so we thought, since we just turned the set off and then back on. Problem solved ... NOT! Shortly after the sound began giving us problems, the picture started flickering. A few months later, we were forced to leave our set off for a few minutes before the screen would reset. About two months later, the red light of death. The screen would no longer turn on! Calling Philips did little to resolve this. Their help was about as useful as the positive reviews written for this product. It seems to me, this plasma offers a decent product until the warranty runs out, after that you're forced to either scrap the system (which I did) or pay the outrageous repair fees. We were quoted at over a thousand dollars to fix this plasma. Considering the price I paid for it originally and the prices now, it would have been foolish to try and salvage this screen.

I guess what I'm trying to tell you is: avoid this plasma at all costs!! Consider the amount of money you are about to spend and ask yourself: Do you really want to take a chance? Purchase a more reliable system and you'll be better off!

  1. i don't know why this tv got a bad rating. the picture quality is amazing even when using the coaxial cables. the sound is mediocre, but plugging in comuter speakers fixes the problem.

my suggestion for the people complaining about picture quality is to buy a hd tuner for $200 (but cheaper on ebay) to get true over the air hdtv.

  2. We purchased this TV the day after thanksgiving 2005 and it was a Christmas present so it was not even taken out of the box until 12/25/05. We put this in our bedroom so it has not been used much - maybe 12 hours in the past year. The other day when we turnedit on the picture was there for about 2 seconds then slid down the screen untill it was gone and all you could see was vertical lines - if yo uchange the channell the picture would come back for 2 seconds and do the same thing. I spent a lot of time holding for CS with polaroid and received nothing! Unfortunately we were just outside of the 1 year warranty but I thought maybe they woul dmake an exception since it was so close and pretty obvious that it was a xmas present because of the time of year but NO Luck! We are now going to take it to a local repair store and pay $45 to see if it can be fixed reasonbly. I am very dissappointed. I do think the at the TV was alright for what we used it for when it did work.

  3. TV worked ok for about 9 months. It's in my home office, so I barely use it. Picture quality was not that good, even when playing HD channels through a Motorola hi-def box. In fact, I ended up taking the hi-def box out and just connecting the coax to the monitor, because the picture wasn't that good - especially compared to a similiar Samsung monitor I have in my kitchen. Anyway, just fired it up, and I am experiencing similiar problems as some of the other posts - vertical lines appearing on the picture, the entire picture starts to shift down the screen, and for the few secons the picture locks in, it's purple. I thought it might be the cable signal, but it's the same signal that is powering my Samsung DLP, which is not having any problems. Unfortunately, it has the same problem when I tried to play a DVD to it, so I think it is toast. You get what you pay for...

  4. I am experiencing similiar problems as some of the other posts - vertical lines appearing on the picture, the entire picture starts to shift down the screen, and for the few secons the picture locks in, it's purple. have the tv for about 9 months, i doubt i'll find the receipt, just gonaa toss the set.

  5. I've had mine for about 1.5 years. The cablevision coax goes into a digital cable box and then the cable box cable feeds the tv. While the "TV" choice as source produces an oddly colored and lousy pic even with the cable attached as mentioned, I use "Video" as source instead. Though I used s-video for awhile, I switched to plain video/audio as I needed the s-video for something else and was too lazy to get another one yet. And this is fine. Yes, I'm into good resolution, since photography is sa hobby of mine, but relative to other 15" LCD sets this is very good.

The picture at the store was clearer than on the other 15" tvs, by quite a bit. With the TV setup you can choose from a number of settings, for background brightness, for normal settings, etc., but I use the custom 'USER' setting that allows me to set saturation, hue/tint, brightness, contrast, sharpness, and a host of other things. This holds for any channel on cable automatically, after that.

Using a standard def box, it produces a much clearer pic on standard stations of course than does my HD tv. The colors are natural and rich, and the image is very stable. I can get contrast as I want it (well, up to the 400:1 contrast ratio), and then almost all channels are set up similarly automatically. It actually looks more like FILM (in quality of color) than normal TV. Skin tones are great. There is less blooming on the pic than with other tvs I've seen of that size. That it's HD ready is great but I want to watch standard tv channels without the oddness of sharper HD. This FLM 1511 has a denser, smoother quality than I see on similar sets by other makers.

I picked it out when I saw it at the store. Customers on that store's site were very happy with the picture too, for a 15" set. There are hundreds of positive reviews on the latest version that gets bad reviews here. I still think it must be in how people set it up. The other store has an electronics-oriented audience rather than a general one.

The SRS sound is very effective, but this TV does *NOT* have much sound in the bass, so this is of course just a secondary tv you can use in any room, at 3 lbs.
