- I haven't owned another HDTV, so I have little for comparison, but this thing looks great. Great viewing angle, great inputs/outputs. The menu is a little non-intuitive, the channel info box is big and blocks much of the screen until it eventually disappears, and channel changing in general is quite slow, but I think that's common for digital TV.
--added a month later-- The HDTV "Blur" seems a excessive with this. Things are very clear unless there is a lot of movement. Dance and Sports are impossible to watch.
- Thus far, this has proven to be an excellent TV with full features, great picture, and was easy to hook up
- Have owned this set for several weeks now, and absolutely LOVE IT! Spectacular color and picture quality, and great ergonomics with it's thin bezel, slim profile and swivel base. This TV has a great feature set, build quality and connectivity vs. Sony and Samsung, and no shiny black plastic!
I researched this purchase for many weeks, and found the Mitsubishi to be comparable to the best rated sets out there. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase. Set was purchased and fulfilled from Amazon, and delivered on time without a hitch.
- After months of researching which brand to buy, I decided to stick with Mitsubishi. I had owned one of their TV for close to 20 years before it broke down. The repairman said they don't sell parts for this TV anymore, which forced me to look into purchasing a new TV.
I'd researched many brands of TV including Sony to decide which one was the clearest. Sony to me had the best picture but I was afraid to buy their TV because I had a history of repairs with their TVs.
Then when I saw the high rating on the Mitsubishi LT46133 in Consumer Report, I decided to purchase this TV.
The color is brilliant and the picture looks awesome. I brought an up-conversion DVD player and there's truly a difference in clarity between an up-conversion DVD player and a regular DVD player. I'm just waiting for the Blu-Ray player to go down in price.
The 3 HDMI inputs and 2 of each composite, component and S-video inputs really makes it convenient for all your video equipments.
If you purchase this TV, I suggest you lower the contrast, brightness and back light settings. Otherwise the color white would be too bright.
Amazon was great with delivering this. I ordered this Monday night and the TV was at my apartment Thursday morning.

- Compact TV; sound quality good; video image blurry.
A better purchase is the flat screen Sylvania 6420ff.
- The overall quality is great for a TV in this price range, category, and size.
- For a basic TV with no frills, this product is perfect. The color and tone are just right and the price just can't be beat.
- This little TV is the perfect size for a cottage or small apartment! The picture is crystal clear, the colors are dynamic (and adjustable), there's a place to plug in your DVD player in the front, and the price is unbeatable.
- Can't beat it for around $100., but I expected more from
Sharp.

- We bought this tv in April of last year. In June it started acting up somewhat. We would turn it on and the screen would show up but there would be no sound. All we had to do was shut it off and turn it on again, simple, but it just got worse. It would happen and we would have to turn it on and off again several times before it would work properly. Soon after that the screen would not come on at all (the green light would show there was power and the screen would get a lighter shade of black so we knew it was getting power) and we would have to turn it on and off again a ridiculous amount of times. (We had newborn twins at the time so were not able to get it in to customer service right away so that is why we put up with it for so long) We thought that since it was within the one year warranty period that we would have no problem getting it fixed. My husband phoned in and we were told to take it to a repair shop close to our home and that all repairs would be covered. SO my husband took it in and he was told that yes, all parts would be covered under warranty but the charge for services would be our responsibility (about $200). That is just ridiculous! HOw can you sell a $2000 tv and have it work for less than 3 months and have the customer responsible for any cost of repairs? I am so disappointed in this company and their so called "warranty" I don't feel we should be in the least bit responsible for any costs to repair an obviously defect piece of equipment. In fact, I expected them to bend over backwards to try to resolve the problem and although customer service was helpful and friendly there was nothing they would do about incurring the service costs. We had no choice but to get it fixed but I will never buy anything from Magnavox again...ever.
- I jumped out of my 37" plasma Panasonic, and into this from my local target store. It was hundreds less than other tv's of this style and ability, with HDMI ports, and all the bells and features of the Panasonic unit....
I was really worried about the technical side of this device, but the warrantee for 3 years, for $79. was well worth the money to remove that worry. I have been happy as heck with this tv. Auto adjustments for the change of the channels, it automatically adjusts from 720p to 1040i, to standard tv. on the fly. Love that feature.
The same tests I ran on the Panasonic, I do on this tv... I read someplace online, that watching the BMW commercial, where the car tires have the emblem of the blue and white rotating, and continueing to display the different colors is the best mark of a tv set. Rich colors, deep blacks. Unreal picture with Directv High Def receive and setup. I will never look back - and am real happy at this little Jem.
Remote is ok, menues take a bit to get use to, but still ok.
I am happy that about $1100 got me a bigger unit, wall mounted, and under warrantee...
- I bought this Magnavox 42" plasma HDTV at the end of Feb 2007, and it has been fantastic. Absolutely spectacular. The person who wrote the highly negative review must have bought a slightly different model or an earlier version of some kind, because this Maganavox has been flawless. I should also mention that I bought this HDTV after doing a huge amount of research and after a lot of weary walking around electronics stores. I also got a great deal on the price.
- We purchased a plasma from Magnavox in Nov. of 05...an earlier version of this model. Within the first 3 months we started having problems with the picture getting lines through it. We spent hours...many hours on the phone with Magnavox trying to locate someone to service this TV. A company finally did. Three months later more problems occurred...the enamel began to peel and flake...the picture got worse...so we then had to send our TV to another service center for over 3 months. We got it back Feb. of 2007. It does not work at all now...no picture...nothing and Magnavox will not even consider fixing or replacing it because it is out of the puny one year warranty. DONT BUY A MAGNAVOX PRODUCT!
- I purchased this TV 2 years ago. The image started failing, basically starts shaken then the screen goes black.(still you can heard the audio). We have to turned off and on waiting at least 30 minutes on unpluggin from the power. NOT RECALLS for this item eventhough is cost around $2,000

5 comments about Sharp DT100 Home Theater Projector.
- This was a good buy for projection of a 50th anniversary celebration for my parents. Clear picture in a 25'x30' area.
- Just starting to dabble in the home theater hobby, I was looking for a cheap projector to experiment with. This was the least expensive I could find, but WOW!! I had it hooked up to a mini-DVD player and an old set of computer speakers and I had an instant home theater in less than 15 minutes. I am not very technical when it comes to audio visual equipment. What a fantastic picture! Even with light coming into the room a movie is quite clear, but in the dark the image is amazingly clear and bright. Who needs a $2,000 plasma??? This is much more fun.
- We bought this projector as part of a low cost home theater to put in our basement. It was easy to install and configure (we have it on a ceiling mount) and displays an incredible picture which is much nicer that I had imagined we would get in this price range. We paired this with a Pioneer sound system / DVD player and a home-made projector screen (instructions online) and now have a really terrific home theater for under $1,000.
However, after only 2 weeks the projector suddenly went dead -- bummer! So I took it to the closest authorized service center where the repairman took one look at the model and knew what the problem was. The projector needs a software upgrade at high altitudes to adjust the fan speed. Without the adjustment, the system will overheat and burn out a small component which is exactly what happened to ours. The service shop replaced the burned out part, upgraded the software, and assured us that this model would now run trouble-free for years to come.
We live in Colorado at 6,000 feet and are now again enjoying our Sharp projector. I recommend it highly, but if you get one (or are considering it) and live at high altitude, I suggest that you call your local Sharp service center and ask if you're likely to have a problem where you live. If so, take the projector in and get the software upgraded BEFORE it breaks. If you wait for it to break you'll likely to be without your projector for a while if they don't have the replacement part in stock.
- i recd the projector in a tmely manner waited for the construction of my media room to be done , then installed the projector on the ceiling , added cables , hung my 99 in screen . I made some adjustments to the projectors image on the screen i.e. focus and inverting the image and hooked up the componet cables to my home theater system, and wow! it was like i was at the movies ... The picture is great colors are vivid , this is a good choice for movies and having xbox 360 get together with fellas ...
- I had done an extensive research before buying this fantastic equipment. spending money in excess of $500 for home projectors should give you returns. So you need to choose carefully.
My advice: search no more; just go ahead and buy this product. Absolutely great! period.
