1. Terrible sound. Impossible to calibrate. Yellow lines on some HD channels. No pnp. Stay away from this one even if they give it away.

3. While the picture and features of this TV are great for the price, you will be very unhappy should you have any problem with it. Mine keeps switching inputs for no apparent reason and going blank. Also the sound does not work with the HDMI input. Westinghouse service admits these are problems when I call but the only solution is to ship them the TV in California because they have no parts for it already. Neither do they have any local service center where it could be returned. The freight to ship it to California is $245.00. Great warranty, isn't it? My advice is to pay more upfront and get a brand that has manufacturer's support.



4. I've had this TV for a little over a year now, so I've had plenty of time to formulate an opinion.
   
   -Pros-
   *Great Picture in any mode. I have a PS3 and watch Blu-Ray movies and they look incredible!
   *2 HDMI inputs
   *Big bang for your buck.
   *Its been over a year and haven't had any technical issues.
   
   -Cons-
   *Unimpressive sound quality. It isn't bad until you start turning it up pretty loud. I like movies rather loud, so thats where I had my issues with the sound.
   *Doesn't save your audio settings when you change your audio output from internal to external, so every time you turn your tv on and want to use your home theatre for cable/sattelite sound you have to reselect that option on the menu.
   *If you do use the audio output to a receiver you have to put the TV near 100% to get a decent output to your stereo receiver.
   
   -Summary-
   A very good picture with over a year of trouble free viewing. The cons are really minimal when you factor in everything you get for the price. I would highly recommend this TV to everyone.



5. Waited a year to see if Westinghouse would fix the HD Tuner that randomly locks up when changing channels or powering on.
   
   They won't admit there is a problem with this model only their 47".
   
   I use OTA (rabbit ears) to get my HD channels and when it is getting the HD signal the TV will occasionaly (about 4 times a week) lock up. Lock up completly the only way to unlock it is to pull the power cord from the wall.

1. I must say this Television is exactly what I have been looking for. I bought an LCD Flat panel and was very dissapointed with scenes of blotchy greys, glitchy sports with a foggy image at times? Then took it back on my 7 day return policy. I exchanged it for a Plasma! The Colour was perfect but once again discouraged I took it back. $250.00 plus dollars after 4000-6000 hours for a backlight I dont think so, if you can not afford to fix a tv dont buy the Tv(Student). Might I add I only have digital sattelite Reception. I did some more research On this partcular Item and was very pleased. Eventually most channels will be in widescreen. I'm not going to get all technical just strait too the point.
   I Wanted this T.V for SPORTS , VIDEO GAMES , AND DVDS. Dont scrape your pocket for a television that is nearly the same in picture. The only problem is the weight, 150 pounds of back breaking labour compared too a slim lcd/plasma 45 pounds. Do not hesitate on choosing the Television purchase it is well worth the money. Once I get quality component cables or S-Cables Im sure it will highten my experience with the tv. I payed 4.95 on consumerreports.org just too get the plain and honest truth. I read up on all of the pros and cons on numerous Flat screen TV's Weather Plasma , lcd , or Hi-scan Tube HD TV's not only on consumerreports but many other websites as well. I think I knew more than the salesman!!!!. I tryed too lay this paragraph flat out on the table and I hope it helps you make a positive decision.



2. ok, as another person stated, i've also tried expensive lcd and plasma monitors. same issues...blacks aren't quite black enough...ghosting on fast moving images. i finally took a friend's advice and looked at the 30" wega monitor (didn't need the 34"). wow, words can't describe the incredible picture...blows away the best lcd and plasma monitors. the drawback as others have pointed out is the weight...and i'm sure the electrical costs.
   
   i didn't think to ask a tv repair person for their opinion given today's disposable-by-design market, but i got the advice another person got...the sony wega hd crt screen is probably THE best high definition monitor on the market. sure, lcd/plasma give you the cool factor, but the bottom line is no lcd/plasma monitor can beat the picture quality or cost of a sony wega hd crt monitor.

3. First of all I want to say that Im a filmmaker and know about TV and film quite a lot so I know what Im talking about. Anyone that knows about TV's knows that CRT/picture-tube TV's (the fat ones) will produce superior image quality than any comprable LCD monitor. Just because a TV is thin and flat does not mean that it will produce a better image quality. Thin TV's are all the rage right now but what trully should matter is the picture quality. My Sony 30" widescreen HDTV's image quality is awsome. I've had it for about a year now and have been very, very, happy with it. Yes, it is super bulky and heavy but it fits in the corner of my bedroom quite well and its picture tube is super flat. Plus, the design of the TV makes it look a lot thinner than it really is. I've had to point out to guests that my TV is not a thin TV. The other cool thing about CRT HDTV monitors are that they cost about 40% less than flat LCD or plasma TV's. And like I said before, LCD will not give the same picture quality as CRT's. Plasma TV's do compare to CRT's but they cost a lot more and unlike CRT's you don't have recharge the chemicals like you do in plasmas after about 3000 hours of viewing time. Plus, I got my TV as a brand new clearance item at Fry's for $600! Trust me, I did a lot of research and this model had it all. About the only thing I wish it had was a third HDMI input and the capacity to broadcast at 1080p.



4. I bought this TV solely for HD gaming for my 360. It is a very solid performer. The colors are vivid and bright. The blacks are the best one can find in an HDTV....It does have some minor faults though... Very mild bowing exists and text gets a little fuzzy on the periphery of the screen.
   
   This TV really shines with HD cut scenes in video games....STUNNING!!!

I thought I was going to spring for a Pioneer Kuro 50", after extensive research and comparison, it's pretty much the top of the top when it comes to quality, and I got a great deal for my buddy, who loves it. But in comparison, I only watch my 18 year old 27" TV a couple of hours a day, and I don't entertain with it on, so dropping $3K on a new set made no sense. I remember seeing the prototype of the Sony widescreen HD CRT sets in Tokyo in 1989, about $15K at the time, and I promised myself I would own one, once the price dropped. And voila! Almost 20 years later, my dream has come true. So can yours, if you can live with the difference in size, picture quality, and energy consumption. Yes, it's quite a bit deeper, but if you are replacing an old CRT, like mine (which died yesterday), you probably won't mind. As you already know, besides the Kuro, no LCD nor plasma is going to give you the detail and contrast (blacks) that a CRT will. And the thing nobody ever talks about is that CRTs will consume much less power than either LCD or plasma. The late model Wegas all come HDMI ready, which is required for all the upgrades coming with digital television broadcast next year, and though this 30" Sony will not achieve 1080p, it doesn't have to, because that resolution is wasted on any screen smaller than 50", a fact nobody here seems to acknowledge. I would go so far as to say, if you are not a film maker, you are wasting your time worrying about anything higher than 720p, which this set achieves. Still want to spend $900 at Costco or Best Buy for a comparable plasma? I bought my tv from a gamer who fell hard for his $4K Kuro, and sold his 1 year old Sony to me for...$180! I could have gotten the top of the line 36"XBR widescreen with matching stand for $450 used, but the point is, if you are looking for a bargain basement HDTV deal, for less than the price of a new Blueray DVD player, now is the time. Once you hook up that new HD DVD player, you'll forget all about that wall mount.

1. Been great - Amazon shipped it right away and I have been real happy with the clarity of the tv. I also have a samsung DLP so I see the difference. This tv is the perfect tv for the bedroom.



2. I already have a Samsung LN-S4095D (40", 1080p) for the family room and I bought the LN-T3242H for my bedroom. It is noticeably lower picture quality than the big Samsung; it's not just the lower resolution - I only ever watch 480i content anyway. The analog tuner is also not so good - PQ is better if I watch the DVR from the room next door on the composite video input. The main thing I notice is that blacks are nice and black but there's not much effort at grayscale rendition.
   
   However, it is perfect for the application and less than half the price of the 40" set.
   
   I looked at several 32" sets (Vizio, LG, Toshiba) and the Samsung is much better all round. Toshiba is a very thick profile and has next to no input flexibility. Vizio enclosure is ugly.



3. I LOVE this tv. I looked up on consumer report and this was one of the highest rated lcd tv in its class. The price could not be beat. It looks perfect in my small living room and the sound is fantastic. I would definatley would recommend this tv to anyone.

5. Purchased this TV for spare bedroom/den/man cave. Picture is great with digital cable, really good with regular cable. Easy set-up. Perfect size for smaller rooms.

1. I'm not sure how the quality is on this TV, but if you would like your TV in a resonable amount of time I would not buy it from Amazon. I ordered my TV on June 14th,it is now June 26th and I have still have not received it. I did track my item on CEVA and it has been sitting in a warehouse an hour from my house since June 21st. I would highly reccommend buying from a different company.



2. I ordered this TV late night July 1. I got it around 11:00 this morning through CEVA. The delivery service doesn't affect my opinion of the TV, but CEVA was excellent.
   
   I immediately hooked up my PS3 and HDMI cable (Cables to go 3 meter 10.2gbps, bought from amazon) and after fixing the sound and video output settings (I had it hooked up via DVI and RCA cabling, and my old TV only accepted up to 1080i) it worked beautifully. Even without being hooked up to my surround sound system, the sound quality is good. It won't blow you away, but given the form factor of the TV it's still better than I had expected and good enough that I'm not desperate to hook up better speakers.
   
   I popped in Blade Runner on Blu Ray and noticed the picture was a bit fuzzy. I then checked and found that the PS3 was outputting 1080i as that was the best my old TV could display. A quick change to 1080p and away I went and was absolutely amazed by the picture. I didn't see any judder, and the colors were magnificent. Black levels seem good, but I have it in a room with windows so I can't make it completely dark to really get a good feel for it yet. The glossy screen looks nice when it's off, but is a little noticeable when you've got a direct light source on it.
   
   I bought mine as a refurb from Warehouse Deals by Amazon, which ran me less than 1100. It came in the original box, has no dead pixels, and works perfectly. There was some tape adhesive on the bottom over maybe two square inches, but that will come off easily enough once I find where I put the cleaner. This was my first time buying a refurb product from anyone apart from the manufacturer, and it's been great. Very worth saving $400.
   
   Amazing TV. I'd say it's definitely worth the $1500 Amazon has it for, but paying less is always nice too.

4. I bought this TV about a month ago. The blu-ray movies looks awesome on this TV. The standard definition TV is so so, but I guess you purchase this TV mainly for blu-ray and high definition sports.
   
   Overall a good TV but I think the newer series (650) may be a bit better in terms of specs. But they are still $1500 or more so since I only paid $1234 for this TV, it was well worth it.

   althought there is slight blurring sometimes during cable televisiona nd sometimes in movies, its not enough to make a difference in my opinion of this tv. Its excellent.
   
   Got this tv at almost 50% retail price so I cant complain.
   If youre searching for a tv, then go no further than this.
   If your product is shipped using CEVA then make sure you call them to check on your tv. They are really nice guys and I found a depot near my home and went and picked the tv up 5 days early. They even let me pull my car in the warehouse and helped me load it up. Their service is highly recommendable.

1. Overall I am very happy with this SONY. Great picture and easy to set up. I was however surprised to find out this TV is Made in Mexico. My fingers are crossed that it wasn't made on a Friday. We happen to live in Mexico a good part of the year and I am not a fan of electronics made there. Just as I am not a fan of American made autos.

3. I've had this TV for about six months and like everything about it. Ordering through Amazon was a snap, shipping time quick and setup as advertised. We liked it so much that we ordered a smaller version for the bedroom. Would recommend it to anyone.



4. This is the second one that I purchased! It has a very clear picture and since I have it connected to my PC, I rarely watch TV anymore!

5. This is a very nice TV. The controls are easy to use and ports are easily accessed. The picture was superb right out of the box and required very little adjustment. Also, I turned it on using my cable box remote immediately, no synching required. Very happy with this purchase.
