1. I was really happy with this TV when I fought it about four years ago. The only problem I had with it for a while was a couple of green pixels in a not too noticeable place. However, with time thepicture kept getting darker and darker. There are ambiance settings but I kept having to adjust the over all brightness-- a lot. Then I had an adapter problem and had to deal with Philips customer service. At that point Philips pretty much lost me as a customer.
   
   There are some companies with excellent customer service-- JVC is one. I had a problem, they fixed it. With Philips though, I had a problem and they irritated me before we were able to resolve it. I wasn't even asking for warranty service. I just needed a part. The person talking to me sent me the wrong part-- some my fault, I knew her English wasn't good and should have confirmed using other words. I called and talked to someone else who found the right part for me right away. Return the first part? I could, with a 15% restocking fee. I fumed and wrote an annoyed email. No response. Meanwhile the metal table top stand broke. Really, the metal just cracked and one side fell off. About that time I grabbed my head with both hands and gave up.
   
   I bought a Sylvania LC195SL8 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV which I am liking very well. Of course modern day Sylvania customer service and I have not met yet either.

1. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST PRODUCT EVER PROCUCED. I HAD THE TV FOR JUST OVER SIX MONTHS BEFORE IT STARTED HAVING TO GO INTO THE REPAIR SHOP ON A MONTHLY, SOMETIMES WEEKLY, BASIS. PHILIPS SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE AND AFTER THE LAST TIME THE "TV" BROKE I HAD TO TALK TO ABOUT 10 DIFFERENT PEOPLE BEFORE SOMEONE WOULD ADMIT THAT THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TV. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD REPLACE THE UNIT IN 5 TO 10 DAYS. WHICH NEVER HAPPENED. WHEN I CALLED BACK TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD NO RECORD OF MY WARRANTY CLAIM. SAVE YOU MONEY AND PAINT YOUR WALLS...THEY WILL GET MORE VIEWING TIME THAN THIS PIECE OF JUNK.



2. This TV worked great (except for the scratched unprotected screen) for 20 months and then suddenly the screen turned overwhelmingly blue. Magnavox service was useless and the needed part for this under two-year-old TV is unavailable! I will never buy another big-ticket Magnavox/Philips product and implore everyone considering this set or any others from these manufacturers to stay away or to buy the extended warranty.



3. I owned this tv for less than two years and it has already went out. The color on it has went crazy and left arks all over. I called to see about repair and said it would be a minimum of around five hundred dollars. I am going to take that money and buy another brand of tv. Stay away from this tv!!!!!!!!!!!



4. I've had this TV for almost three years and have had no problems with it.
   Great HD picture! XBOX 360 games look awesome and DVD movies look really crisp.
