- I just bought a z2000 and it stopped working on the third day. Looks like several folks on the AVS forum have had the same exact problem. Basically, the unit powers off, the door shuts 90% of the way, and the warning light of death comes on. I have plugged out the unit to no avail and I will have to deal with Sanyo support on Monday. I JUST got this thing. Not good. I will post let you know how Sanyo handles this situation. Perhaps they can take a negative situation and make it into a positive strength with thier service and responsiveness. Other from that, this PJ is superb.

- I bought this projector in December and am very pleased with the quality of the product. It does everything it is advertised to do, including a decent job of projecting DVD movies. It has been a real asset to my teaching.
[...]
- I use it in school and it does a great job.
It is very bright and lights do not have to be turned off to see it, plus it is very easy to connect to the PC, speaers, or Video projector. I like the fact you do not need a PC to use the unit.
I connected my PC and DVD both worked fine.
I did have a small problem and tech support was excellent
2 disappointing things
1. You must use the remote (IR) to turn the lamp off
If you do not use the remote to turn off the projector
the projector does not go through a cool down mode which
will affect the life of the lamp.
2. DLP is the newest technology but the colors are not as good
and accurate as LCD projectors
- I like very much this product, only problem that is a big dimention, but to use fixed not problem.
- This projector met my expectations. For the price it was the best deal. I have a large living room but do to the shape and layout a 56 to 60 inch TV would hinder the movement in and out of the room because it would stick out 2 feet. By using this projector I not only keep the 2 feet but I can also move this unit at any time with very little effort. It also can project much wider than 60' and there are no bad seats in the room. I have had no problems with it as of yet, and do not forsee any problems in the future.
- This line of projectors seem to have a fundamental design flaw that needs to be addressed in a recall by InFocus. There is a very small mirror tunnel behind the color wheel (looks like a long prism) that often fails as it is very fragile. This tunnel concentrates and channels the light to the DLP chip and if it collapses it can cause a dark (not black) band to appear at the left/right 1/10 portion of the screen. This band gets wider with time.
The reason is that the glue connecting the four rectangular mirrors of the mirror tunnel peel from the heat; in my projector, one of the mirrors had slipped and fallen in.
Otherwise a fine projector! If only inFocus would replace these defective mirror tunnels!

- The projector is nice. It is very small and projects a nice picture, but, it has a fan that kicks into high gear and the noise is noticable since it is not running all the time. I think the noise factor de-values the projector. I have an epson 77c that has no noticable fan noise and projects a picture of almost the same quality. We placed the two projectors side by side and used a dual imput to both projectors. Even though the optoma has more lumens and a higher contrast ratio , it was hard to determine the optoma picture as having any superior quality. I bought the Optoma projecter on-line and have no choice but to like it, but---if I could have done the same comparisson test prior to purchase--I would opt for another projector.
- I'd always wanted a projector, and I'm glad I got this one. It was easy to set up and attach to my laptop computer, and it projects good quality photos and videos. The case that comes with it is handy for storing and moving the projector and its accessories.
