- Really reduces the outside noise. Gives a nice and clear sound. But the bass response is not great.

- I purchased these to replace my ipod earphones and I must say that this was the best $15 I've spent in a long time!!! Crisp highs, nice bass. I am an audiophile and these probably sound better than any of those $100+ headphones you can get.

- Wow! I give this product five stars. These in-ear phones do just what is expected, i.e. faithfully reproduce music while blocking ambient noise. In fact, they are so effective at tuning out the rest of the world that I missed one telephone call and almost missed another, with the telephone ringer on "loud" and in the same room. The phones are comfortable and come with three sets of covers, so they will fit no matter what size your ear canals. But I digress. If you want true sound, at a good price, buy these phones. Word is that they will improve with use. If that's the case, I will be even happier soon. I am using them with a 5G 80GB iPod.
It bears mentioning that these are the second set I have purchased. I bought a set from most-digital.com that are counterfeit and have instituted proceedings to secure a refund from that company, and have notified SennheiserUSA that these counterfeit phones are on the market. It took about two minutes to determine that they weren't of the promised quality. If they ship from the Far East, they are not Sennheisers. See the OEM website for details.

- like a said in the title these headphones are great! i'm a great fan of metal and i always find CD's ranging from Rush to Judas priest in my CD player. those ear piece headphones are really annoying cuz they slip out of ur ear when ur moving. these however are always stable and barely move. I know this because i always thrash and bang my head. i originally found these at borders and they looked cool and they were cheap so i bought them. i was shocked at home when i found that these headphones were pretty heavy in bass. i don't mind that actually. i found it much better than ear phones! they need a bit getting used to at first but otherwise its great! the sound comes in perfectly. another thing is that i somehow end up accidently pulling on the wire thing but it always stays put. i was afraid that the wires in the headphones would break but they never do.
so overall what i'm trying to say it that these headphones are great because they are comfortable, durable, and cheap.
- got these headphones for 5 bucks, mainly for its isolation. does a good job muffling the bus engine noise. bass is too strong though, but is easily fixed. also needs a sweet spot on the ears, or it might feel uncomfortable after a long time (but everybodys got different shaped ears anyway). gold connector is also a nice addition.
- The sound of the headphones were great but they are very uncomfortable when I put them on my ears. They are not adjustable.
- Granted, these inexpensive 'cans' (mine cost ten bucks at Borders) are not going to sound nearly as 'musical', detailed, or accurate as a pair of 2 or 3 hundred dollar Sennheiser or Beyerdynamics, but the good news is that they are a decent value for the money and sound better than most cheap 'cans' or earpieces that come with your portable device. They work very well with portable audio devices such as mp3, CD, or FM units because of their low impedance. However, the sound is unquestionably 'veiled' and muddy at times, and it would be worth your while to spend forty or fifty bucks on a better set of portable 'cans' if you want real 'high-end' sound with more liveliness and inner-detail. Look at the Sennheiser PX100 or the AKG K26P if you want to realize the full potential of your portable devices. If you're on a low budget, these will definitely do, however you're selling yourself short if you're seeking to hear the full potential of your music.
- These are exactly what I needed! I work on a farm and like to drown out the noise while I listen to my music.
They're fairly sturdy. They're inexpensive, so I don't have to worry about getting them nasty. The sound quality is decent (good for the price). The bass is nice but the high-end is a little lacking. They drown noise out well and are quite comfortable. There's no volume adjuster on the cord. I see that as an advantage as my old phone's volume slider used to get moved around while I was working.
These are perfect headphones for someone who listens to music while doing manual labor.
If you want some headphones for casual mp3 use, then you'd be better off getting something like the KTXPRO1. They don't drown out noise, but the sound quality is superior to the UR-10-- particularly on the high end.

- I can't stand earbuds and I needed headphones to use while jogging. I researched some and found these. It's not the best sound, but they are comfortable and stay on pretty well while running. It seems to have stretched out a little bit, but continue to stay on. The only complaint I have is the sound doesn't shoot directly into your ear like earbuds. When running the headphones shift some and it shoots out some.
- This Sony ear phones fits your ear perfectly and also gives out a wonderful sound. One of the best ear phones for the price you pay. Its worth every penny!
- Very hard to find purple ones and my wife wanted them very badly and we both love this style of headphones. Warning though, as with any sony product they last for about a year and then you need new ones. I'm not sure how sony does it, but it's happened to every sony product I've owned in the past 7 years.
- The headphones that I received were an ugly red-orange. The main picture was quite deceiving.
- Great product... works fine and very comfortable design to feet all.
I am glad I have it now.

- These headphones are awesome what more can I say. After a little research I decided on these and they are worth the money. The first thing you notice is how good they sound and how much outside noise they cancel. They have a nice rich sound, good distinct highs and nice low and mid range response. They also are pretty comfortable, after a bit of adjusting they fit well, also cover the ear well, mine are pretty big and the fit is awesome. When at the store compared with a pair of Bose and they are very similar. If you are in the market don't think just get HESH you won't be disappointed they are candy for your skull.
- If you would consider yourself an audiophile and/or have owned a pair of Bose headphones, avoid these! I owned a pair of Bose Triports that broke and bought these hoping they would be a tolerable replacement for the money. Big mistake! I know I shouldn't have expected any comparison, as these are only 50 bucks, but they have raving reviews and some have even compared them to Bose. If all you care about is loudness, these are for you, as they are very loud, perhaps louder than Bose. Loudness does not equal quality or clarity, however. The frequency range on these headphones sucks! It starts at 100hz, so any frequency below that is cut out. You are missing a lot. They are also uncomfortable as others have said and hurt your ears after awhile. You can wear Bose for days and never be uncomfortable. I can also vacuum wearing Bose and not hear it. Not so with these. Those of you who think you are getting great quality at a low price are mistaken. It is well worth the $125(sale price)-$140(reg price) for Bose quality, which is something you won't find in these cheap headphones. If you want perfect sound quality, perfect comfort, and excellent noise canceling, put these back on the rack, save up some more money and spring for the Bose. I ended up returning these, sending my broken Triports (which are out of warranty) back to Bose, and they are sending me a brand new pair for only $60 bucks! ( only $10 more than these!) Trust me, if you're an audiophile, these headphones suck!
- being the audiophile i am, i'm looking for something that sounds great but also affordable being on a very tight budget. I was recommended skullcandy a few years ago which were said to be a quality product. i usually used their smokin' buds which had excellent sound for its ten dollar price tag, but eventually a few months down the road one bud would quit on me. however, i picked this product up just a few months ago imagining that i'm paying for even better sound and quality. However, the sound quality was rather sub-par, even inferior to their smokin' buds. it mellows out the sound erasing the dynamics to deliver the most inferior sound your fifty dollar can buy. After my dog took the courtesy of chewing them up, i had the opportunity to take it apart to reveal their construction. Honestly, these headphones aren't worth 50 dollars; most of what we're paying is bulk plastic for a mediocre sound with the same quality as their 10 dollar buds. save the fifty for a better pair of headphones or perhaps a concert ticket to hear the real deal. needless to say, i've been looking to other brands for audio needs.
- Let's start out with the big pro to these phones: They look nifty, and shiny too. The big, bulky, monster cups have a charming retro appeal, and the shiny silver skull on simple black background design is satisfying on some slightly ridiculous level to, well, probably everyone. Another slightly useful feature is the cord, which comes with a free extension so you can customize the cord length to either ridiculously short, or average.
On to the cons; the sound here is really only decent. The bass is nice enough, although a bit fake-sounding, the mids and highs are muddy but better than a standard pair of 20 dollar headphones; notice that I didn't say 30 dollar headphones. The sound leakage is also a lot more than I would expect from its circumaural design; these phones are absolutely not for mass transit use. However, it's the comfort level of these phones where they fall well below the average mark for their price; the phones pinch your ears and form a vacuum-tight seal around the general area of the sides of your head. Using these phones while exercising is a great way to make your ears and head incredibly hot, red, and uncomfortable. Using these phones at a computer is also next to impossible, as after half hour or so it feels like the edges of your ears are beginning to implode from the cramping and suction.
I got these phones at a pretty decent sale price and I would still say I didn't get my money's worth; all in all I wouldn't recommend buying them at any price over 20 dollars. Sennheiser or Grado Labs headphones at this price blow these things away in every respect, except, perhaps, nifty-skull-lookingness.
- I'm not like a professional or sound engineer or anything... :P
... but I really like these headphones! The sound quality is great and the Bass is incredible... I've been through like a handfull of headphones, and these are the best buy yet! Very powerfull sound! Impressive...
I wouldn't shed out 50 bones for them, but you can get them at a really good price of >> $35 << if you get them from RCS Experience through Amazon.

- I love these. They fit great and isolate great.
The retail price is $10 for 3 or 4 pair. Do not buy 1 pair for $10. Someone's opening the retail box and making 75% profit over the retail price.
- I am a frequent traveler and I was looking for a more portable alternative to Bose headset for short trips. My expectations were low that the triple flange sleeves would block out enough noise to be useful, but after reading many reviews I decided to try them. What I found is that the triple flange sleeves do an excellent job blocking out the noise and one my most recent trip overseas, I chose to use the Shure E2C ear buds with the triple flange sleeves over the Bose headset and I was pleasantly surprised. The delivery of the product from the vendor was prompt and you will have to work the flange sleeves a bit to fit the E2C ear buds. I strongly recommend trying this product and vendor.
- These ear bud covers work very well. They may take a few times of wearing them to get used to the feeling (alittle more pressure then the soft foam)but they stay in. I run on a treadmill and it's hard to find buds that stay in the ear.
- I bought these for Westone UM1s and they work great! Thanks to reviewer Pedro for the tip on cutting off the top (smallest) flange. Before I trimmed, they had a terrible seal (airy, no bass) and hurt my ears. After I cut off the small top and trimmed the stem to even with the 3rd (largest) flange, they work perfectly. They are much easier to put in than the comply tips that came with the UM1s. They do not block quick as much exterior sound as the comply foam tips in my opinion, but they take 2 seconds to insert for me vs having to squish the hard foam over and over to put those other ones in. I am hoping they do not get as nasty from ear dirt as the Complys did (I often wore them shortly after showering. Foamies don't work so well when wet!)
Unless you have large ears, follow the directions and cut them. It's a 10x improvement. The sound is terrific.
- These are great! An absolute must for anyone who uses in-ear monitors and can't afford $500 or more for custom ear molds. Using these was almost like being in a near-field monitoring (i.e., studio) environment.

- They don't swivel, so they can be incredibly uncomfortable. Everyone else can hear perfectly what you are listening too (that's bad.) They are pretty distorted, and the bass is about as powerful as a metronome. I was given them for free, and I am going to replace them with a pair of SONY 700s
- The AKG K66 headphones are probably the best open-backed headphones you can get for such a low price. They are open-backed, so don't plan on using them to listen to Iron Maiden at full volume in some public place and expect to get away with it. Very comfortable and fairly durable, these headphones are good investment if you don't have the cash to get those ridiculously high-priced Bose headphones you've been dreaming about.
- I bought a set of these after reading many dubious reviews of all sorts of headphones in this price range. First of all, they are very light and comfortable, and you can wear them for hours with no problems. Secondly, they sound good to me: they have a nice full sound that is a lot better than anything I have listened to in a long time. Thirdly, they seem well constructed for the price.
For the price of these things, they are really good in my opinion. If you want some headphones in this price range, this may be just what you are looking for.
- I have been using the K66 model for about six months now for various sound production purposes. They are semi-open, as some reviewers have already pointed out, so they are really best suited for home studio setups. These are not really meant to be used to plug into your mp3 player on the train. It is not a design fault that other people can hear what you are listening to - it's how they are made. Hence - 'open backed'.
Now that is out of the way... I have used these for sound designs and music production. They perform well across the entire frequency spectrum, whether it is a base-heavy music piece, or a crisp cymbal. Also, I have not had a single problem with them for the entire time I have used them - moderate use over about 6 months. I find them quite comfortable, although I admit that they don't seem as adjustable as other makes of headphones, so some people might have a problem with that.
Overall though, a really good set of cans for the price you pay.
- I bought these headphones as an alternative to "earbuds" that come with most devices. I found them to have very good sound for a product with such a low cost.

- I have always had trouble finding earphones small enough for my ears. They fit so awesome. They sound great and work really well. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because sometimes the rubber guards fall off occasionally. And all the extras are large. However it does a great job of blocking outside noise. They are so comfy I go to sleep with them on every night.
- These earphones fit quite nicely and - as another reviewer said - they are comfortable enough to wear to bed. For non-powered earphones, they do a nice job of blocking outside noise. My one quibble is that when the cord is bumped (like if I'm running), the sound of the bump comes through the earphones a little too loudly. They're not the best earphones out there, but I'd highly recommend them for the price.
