- Thank you for the great earphones, My son, his wife and my grandaughter were taking a trip to calif. and asked to borrow my dvd player. the headset I had was broken, but your earphones arrived in time to save the day, other wise I would have had to go out and buy new earphones at a much greater cost to me. Thank you again for saving the day. Mike stermel
- I purchased these headphones to use with my personal and work laptop. Given the price (under $10) I figured that I couldn't go wrong. The headphones are light, fairly comfortable, and provide decent sound quality. My one complaint would be that the headband doesn't hold the earphones tight enough to the ears - causing some leak of sound.
Don't expect to be blown away by these headphones, but you also won't have to break your budget to purchase them. All in all a good value for the price.
- I bought these to listen to continuing ed webcasts - comfortable and practical for this purpose. Haven't used them to listen to music yet, so I can't comment on using them for that purpose.

- I first purchased one of these TV listeners for my father. Then my mother who lives with me, stated she would like one. I purchsed her one for MY birthday in February. She then went on a weekend trip with some cousins of hers and took the Listener and 2 of them liked it. So then she had me purchase 2 more. This is a great item and I recommend it for any purchase that has a hearing impaired family member, so you don't have to hear their tv when you are trying to listen to your own.
- Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I'm still trying to make it work but with no change. I think it is because of the voltage difference.
If it only worked for me I'm sure it would've been a good product.
- Great for late night TV, sound is excellent, the headsets do not adjust at all, I guess that's so you can hear others things around you. But out side of that it works well.

- These are very cute and have good sound quality. The padded part tends to come off, and it is hard to get it back on. Overall, though, I am satisfied with the product.

5 comments about Panasonic RP-HC150 Noise-Canceling Headphones.
- I got these at a nice discount on Amazon. However, I only use them in the gym. They do not cancel noise that well on the plane. You still hear quite a bit of engine noise when the noise reduction switch is turned on and the batteries only lasted for about 4 hours. I usually must turn the volume on the mp3 player I use at the maximum setting. Great stereo sound quality, however.
- Here is my review on these inexpensive headphones after one 3 hour flight:
ADVANTAGES:
- Quality build and good materials
- Very comfortable over the ear design with large earcups. I'm sure you can use them for 10+ hours without pain, since there is no pressure on the ears.
- Lightweight
- Folds to a compact size and stores in an included leatherette bag
- Sound quality seems good although I'm not an audiophile to make a good judgement on this
- Only little hissing when noise cancellation is on (the Bose don't have any hissing by the way)
- Headphones even work without noise cancellation in passive mode (some other brands don't)
DISADVANTAGES:
- Noise cancellation is not very good. It does drown out very low frequencies on the airplane but you can still hear the jet engines and everything else. I tried the Bose QC2 and QC3 on a trip and their noise cancellation works much better. When you activate the Bose noise cancellation you get this numbing sensation and everything is calm and quiet. With these there is only a slight change in the noise, but enough of a change to make the engine noise less annoying.
- Since the noise cancellation isn't very good and they hiss, they're not something to use in the office to drown out background noise (again, the Bose are very good for that).
So overall I'm pleased, mainly because of the comfort and low price (you can get 10 of these for one Bose!). I tried several other brands and returned them because they were either uncomfortable, had ineffective noise cancellation or were too expensive.
- I didn't notice a difference between puting them on and putting my hands over my ears.
Want one for cutting out/down the background noise of the TV so I can concentrate on reading. Don't want to listen to music, want to hear nothing/little so I can concentrate on what I'm doing, so I never tried listening to music through them.
Returned them.
- These headphones are lightweight and comfortable, and the cord is long enough, and they came with an airplane adapter included. These are the good things I can say.
Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good.
The cord is very thin and flimsy, and I'm afraid it would not last very long. I bought these at a store and they are going back. The noise cancellation does not work well. When you turn it on, a hissing noise starts, and the outside noise is not perceptibly diminished. In addition to normal household noise, I tested them with a violin playing in the same room, and they failed that test spectacularly.
- I bought this product that it would have good quality, but no. There is a lot of background noise, which probably means poor materials. Also the noise canceling is weak. I can still hear a lot of noise in the background. I should have shelled out for a more expensive one.

3 comments about CTA Digital 4-Pack Gellybean Earbuds (Black, White, Red, Blue).
- I was looking forward to buying four pairs of earbuds for only $10 - what a deal, right? Well, they are not "gel" as the name implies - actually, they have an uneven ridge around the outside. It kills when you put them in your ear! I hate these; they are extremely uncomfortable and one pair didn't even work when I got them.
- I needed a replacement set of ear phones for my Pocket PC which I use to also play music. I wasn't looking for a great pair of noise canceling, deep bass, super-comfortable product w/all the bells & whistles; I just needed some dependable ear buds for little money. This is definitely a great purchase for the low, low price. I bought one, similar pair from a store retailer at the same price. One. W/this purchase, I got FOUR of the same product! If you're used to Bose ear phones (which I bought for my wife who is a more discerning audiophile), then the Gellybean Earbuds aren't for you. But, if you're looking to hear your music w/very little distortion, decent sound, decent volume at a great price, these are for you.
- the headphone quality isn't horrible, but they have a sharp plastic ridge that hurts my ears when inserted

- Compared to other isolating earphones in roughly the same price range, I think these are a little better than mediocre, like C+, 6/10.
One correctable problem is the soft sleeves which come with them; the earphones have a clear emphasis on the low frequencies, which is considered a feature, but the soft, compliant sleeves which provide the isolation will resonate at low frequencies, causing the already emphasized bass to have muddy boomy peaks. I have Shure E2c which came with less compliant clear sleeves (part EA810) which fit the CX400s, and using those smoothed out the bass a lot (but it is still emphasized, not neutral).
The other problem is the high end frequencies also seem too loud... it might not be a problem except that when combined with the heavy audio compression and high frequency equalization emphasis used so often nowadays, and the munching of the audio during lossy data compression, the result is essentially a veil of tinny shrill hissing noise in front of the original audio signal high frequencies. I do not have a solution for this; I have not tried earwax filters... I have Etymotic ER-4S, for which filters are considered a necessary feature, and they sound abysmal without them.
It seems like right now it might be better to get Shure SCL2 for roughly the same price.
- Worth every penny!!!!!!
Great bass and crisp highs..... these bad boys can go loud and not distort, I at work use them by just putting them on top of my desk and listening that way.... thats how good they are. They look great and are built tough. Try them!!!!!
- i just got my pair today. i'm not a super audiophile like others. but i can tell you these blow the ipod buds away.
it's like a whole new ipod. volume is way down. the bass and highs are all incredible now. 1/3 now is like almost full volume before.
if you're really an audiophile you likely have your ipod filled with few songs since you have the quality at cd level, not mp3. you also likely have $300+ phones in, not earbuds. i like having 1400 songs on my nano and understand that it's not the highest quality.
but compared to the loose ipod buds, songs are a millions times better. i'm super happy b/c i found these for $30 shipped somewhere. if i had not found them dirt cheap, knowing now how great they are, i would pay the $90.
it's true what others say that hitting the wire is noticeable. but unless you pay tons of $$ you just expect that with in-ear buds. simply securing it by using the clip or other ways seems to prevent it though. you only hear feedback from the top of the cord.
the short cord seems the perfect length for my arm band in the gym at 6' tall. now the extension is very long. not sure why anyone would need it this long, but you don't need to worry about it being short.
the medium seems to fit me well. very comfy. it was a pain while snowboarding and lifting in the gym and my white ipod buds would fall out. these seem nice and snug. the large are very snug. so maybe i'll shred with the large.
now if i feel it would be necessary to hear others or whatever sounds while enjoying my music... well i would likely not use my ipod... but i still have my white buds which allow me to hear plenty.
- I got an ipod nano for running. After going through several different headphones, dealing w/ ear pieces that wouldn't stay in, and fighting w the cord, and forever searching for those plastic ear inserts that keep getting lost, I decided to get yet another one. I read all the reviews, for every positive, there's a negative. I finally just based my purchase on specs. I like the fact that this one has a short cord and an extension, a clip that keep the cord pin down. Took them for a run today, wow. I didn't have to adjust anything (or pop the earpiece back) for the entire run. short cord + clip = no flapping. The sound is great. I think I finally found a winner.
- I was tired of having crappy sound quality from my earbuds, so I got these, and I'm pretty happy. They cut of most outside noise, which I'm personally not a huge fan of, but plenty of people prefer that, so i won't count that against these buds. Otherwise they fit well. The short cable is nice for my ipod shuffle, and the longer cable is a bit heavy, but the clip takes care of that issue.
