5 comments about Logitech Wireless Headphones for MP3.
- I don't know why so many people have a problem with these. They have worked perfectly for me. I've had mine since June 2006, and they work great. The sound quality is very good, and the range is very good. I've used them up to about 20 feet away and still had clear sound.
I've also never had a problem with cracking. With a 7 3/4 head, it definitely gets some stress, but no sign of cracking at all.
The only problem I have with these is the weight. After wearing them for a while, you definitely feel it. That's the only thing keeping me from using these every day. If I'm going to be listening for a long time, I'll use my earbuds. But if I'm keeping it to around an hour or so, the Logitech headphones work just fine.
As soon as we get some ultralight stereo bluetooth earbuds, I'll switch, but until that day, these work just fine. I think I've more than gotten my money's worth.
- I'm wondering if other reviewers that had the band break on them wore the headphones with the band going around the top of their head. I've been wearing them with the band behind my head just off my shoulders. Gives the most comfortable fit and sound quality- I think it may be how they are designed to fit. The headphones work very well too. For those considering buying these, it will help if you don't have a big ole man head like Barry Bonds. Should work well for women and average sized men when worn with the band behind the neck. Rock on!
- I am not one for wires on any headset. We tried other wireless headsets and either the battery did not last, or the headset was flimsy or it would lose connection with the mp3. This one is consistent, comfortable and very reliable. Plus the battery lasts for quite a long time.
- Turns out that there is a design defect, and these puppies are known to break. Don't understand why Amazon would continue to sell them. Of course the broke after warranty had expired, and no, I didn't abuse them...
- The range and clarity was amazing when I got to hear them being used. They are really loud and have a high quality of sound.

- My ears are small and I thought these would stay in while I was running. I had trouble with one of them falling out constantly. I even rotated the earphones pieces back so that they would rest in the nook of my outer ear, this still didn't work.
I really liked the sound and how light they are, but they are useless when it comes to running for me.

They certainly live up to their claim of providing an extended bass response--the low end really thumps and is truly encompassing. If bass is the most important thing for you, then you'll probably love the sound. Electronica, pop, and certain hip-hop really shined. Mids are nice and warm, and there's a good amount of high-end detail.

5 comments about ULTRASONE iCans-Naos, S-Logic Surround Sound Professional Headphones.
- I am a headphone aficionado, and I own about 30 pairs from the Sony V6 and V600 to the Sony EX-90, the Senheiser PXC300, RS140 and on and on; you get the idea. The Ultrasone iCans Naos which I own are unique and wonderful. I view headphones as some view musical instruments, with each producing a unique timbre and varying quality of sound. With headphones, physical comfort is also a significant issue. The iCans absolutely excel in every facet. They are everything a headphone should be. They reproduce the full sound spectrum with great assertiveness and exceptional accuracy. They are extremely comfortable and portable to boot. The Ultrasone S-Logic audio enhancement creates a wonderful sense of spaciousness, with none of the negative artifacts of typical "surround sound" headphones.
If you buy one pair of headphones, the iCans are the ones to buy. They do far more than improve in a linear fashion upon other headphones. Ultrasone has created something truly unique and wonderful.
- These headphones are phenomenal. They provide such amazing sound quality. And they also reduce the risk of hearing loss, which is now a much bigger issue for this iPod generation. Remember that 5-30 minute ear popping you got after those in-ear Apple headphones that usually broke and started playing the bass all funny? 'Tis a thing of the past. The only downside of this is that everyone around you can hear it if it's too loud, which is probably going to provide more sense to turn it down, reducing the dB exposure to the eardrums even more than 40%. And the bass, treble, and every other sound you can thing of comes in cleaner than it did in the studio. I've heard that Ultrasone's more expensive products have even better performance, but I'm not sure that's even possible.
- wow what a bad purchase this was. They are as non functional as they are hideous, and they are hideous. The sound quality was good, but anyone within earshot (which doesn't have to be far) can hear nearly at the same volume as the wearer. I returned these immediately and bought a pair of Bose, which I'm extremely happy with.
Stay away.
- I've used many ear phones that caused significant ear ache/pain. These have great sound and are rare in that they have a very low radiation emission. Ultrasone actaully has performed scientific studies demonstrating reduced radiation.
- I'd love to give these a five star rating on the design alone. They bling like no other headphones, however it doesn't stop there. Like the other Ultrasone's I have they are beautifully presented, but the iCans have a wow factor of their own.
The only downside is the midrange, which is recessed. The treble is very domineering, but the midrange sounds out of sync with the rest of the frequency range.
Even with that said, it doesn't make me love them any less, and I'm glad I have them, but I wouldn't expect anyone else to feel the same as I do.
These are only for those who really want the bling factor, or hardened Ultrasone fans. I fall into the latter.

- This is not a real review. I tryed to buy them and found out the sellers don't sell the pro4aaat. They selling the mv1. This may change.
- Music is one of my great passions and with few exceptions, I love most flavors! That said, nothing can compare to the thrill and excitement of a live concert experience. Fortunately with quality speakers and headphones, we get to recreate some of that energy and emotion that brings such pure joy. My latest investment in music was a pair of the New Koss Pro4AAA Titanium Headphones. Joggers beware, these are full size high performance stereo headphones best served in the comfort of your favorite leather recliner. These are really cool headphones that sound fantastic! If you're a real music enthusiast, put a set of these on, close your eyes and relax! The New Koss Pro4AAA Titanium Stereophones get 4 Stars!
- I found these to be incredibly bad and was forced to return them. I am an architecture student and needed something to rock out during those late nights in my design studio doing school work, and they didn't fit the bill. They had no Bass whatsoever and i had to max out the bass in my itunes equalizer to get them to even sound remoteley decent. My little $30 v-mod bass-freq in-ear buds sounded better.
I also could not get them very loud at all, I had to max out the software volume control (in iTunes), the software preamp (iTunes equalizer) and my computer's hardware volume control to even get close. I tried a small external headphone amplifier and that helped, These things just need too much power to be useful with an iPod or even a computer.
That being said, they were quite comfortable and seemed to work very well when i plugged them into my home stereo amplifier. I imagine they would be best used with that application or in a music studio environment where one has the equipment and power necessary to drive them.

5 comments about Shure E5c Sound Isolating Earphones.
- Well, I gulped and paid the price for these after my Shure E2s died. I was very happy with the E2s and they are a great value. The first thing you will notice with th E5s is extended bass and treble response. They are physically larger that the E2s and E3s in my ear, so if you have smaller ears look at the E3s or E2s. I work with the E5s and watch them take a great deal of musician abuse for years without breaking. After owning them for a few months, I think I can justify the price by avoiding purchase of other high end audio gear. These earphones combined with lossless encoding on an iPod is probably all I will ever need.
- The best earphones I own and I own plenty. These must fit into the ear canal to get a snug fit and whoa the bass comes alive. I Don't like the stiff cord that is supposed to wrap around the outside of your ear. They are overpriced and at this time you should consider the shure e500 pth( smaller and more flexible)
- E5C vs. E3C
For a year and a half, I listened to the E5s. The sound quality - especially the bass, is noticeably better than the e3s. Does the quality difference justify the extra money? I think so. But I also think that this depends on your financial situation. If you insist on squeezing every last ounce of high-fidelity out of your portable rig, than these headphones are for you. As I wrote in my e3 review, (having owned a pair at one point), you are doing yourself a great disservice by not listening to your music with as little or (preferably) no compression. My current codec (format) of choice for "ripping" CDs is Sony's ATRAC Advanced Lossless which plays the music back with all the bits of the original CD. You can really hear the difference in bitrates when listening through the E5 headphones.
The E5s are comfortable and do a very good job of isolating outside noise. Although they are larger than other models, it only took me a couple days to get used to wearing them. I used them on the subway everyday. The cord is a bit more rigid and less flexible than the other models from Shure.
Worthy of note: I am currently on my third pair of e5s; well sort of, I am now using the newer SCL5. The first E5 developed a wire fray, and the second, some uneven sound levels after about 1 year of use. Shure exchanges faulty products with a great 2-year warranty. Recommended.
- I've been using these earphones for over a year now, and though they have good points they also have a lot of annoyances. I'm surprised when I see such glowing reviews for these, which is why I want to share some of my thoughts.
First the good :
I fly a lot, and I do believe these are the best earphones I've ever had for the plane. In the past I owned a good pair of Sony noise canceling, then I went on to Bose noise canceling, then last year I purchased these Shures. The noise canceling phones go over the ear, which means they are larger and are taking up a lot of your valuable carry-on space. The Shure's can be coiled up into their little container and take up very little space. I can easily put them in my pants pocket. The noise canceling phones help to reduce the drone of the plane, but filter out little else. You'll still hear conversations and announcements. The Shures are plugged right into your ear canals, and you hear almost nothing outside. They are just like earplugs, with music inside.
I'll also note that they are very well built. For as many times as I've snagged the cord on something, they have held up beautifully.
Now the bad:
Aside from using them on the plane or in public transportation like the subway, I find these to be my least favorite earphones for listening to music. Because they are plugging up your ear canals, you hear things like your own breathing, your feet stepping on the ground, the cord brushing against things. Try walking around with earplugs and you'll understand what I'm describing. At the gym, these earphones are terrible. Running on the treadmill with them you'll hear every thud of your foot, your heavy breathing, and the bouncing of the cord. Walk around outside with them and it's the same to a lesser degree. Try to use them lying back in a chair or in bed and you find yourself trying to control your breathing so it doesn't interfere with the music.
As for sound quality, they are the best in-ear phones I've had. However, they cannot hold a candle to on-ear or over-ear phones I own. I have on-ear phones that cost less than 1/8 the cost of these, and are far superior in sound quality.
My advice is to go with the in-ear phones only if you are purchasing them for very noisy environments such as airplanes where you do not want to hear anything going on around you. If you expect to use them in quiet surroundings, I think you'll be very disappointed. Personally I would not pay so much money in the future for in-ear phones, since I cannot use them anywhere other than a very noisy environment.
- I bought the E5C earphones during summer 2005. Left ear stopped playing abruptly in early October 2007, no external, visual damage. I'm a neat freak, so take good care of my toys. Sent the broken earphones to Shure with an explanation I understood they were a few months out of the 2 year warranty, but would appreciate a warranty replacment because I had in no way abused the earphones and had been very happy with them. Got a brand new replacement pair about 1.5 weeks later, no questions asked. Shure is a providing an excellent quality/fidelity product and commensurate service to back it up. Happy in Pittsburgh, S. Monroe

- The set that I received had some noise coming from some wiring problems. I sent it back. I don't know if it happened that I received a defect or if this product has problems acroos the board.
- Very good entry level earphones and for the price probably the best. And for all the people who don't like IECs this is a very good option. Far far better than what iPod or creative mp3 players comes with by default. You must buy atleast these if not better ones if you at all care for quality in listening to music on portable players.
- but that's it, just OK. I wouldn't say they're any better than the iPod earphones. The bass is just average, the overall clarity is average. They're good for the price, however. And Sennheiser is a great company with solid products. I also own Etymotic er4 isolators, and they're far superior, but they cost well over $150.00. I guess for the price the MX51's do the job.
- No me duraron más de 3 meses. Y sólo los compré porque son Sennheiser. Pero deben ser los peores de toda la categoría.
- I bought these thinking they'd be a better alternative to the IPOD headphones. Truth is, now I have more respect for the little white earbuds that shipped with my IPOD nano video.
These sennheisers don't live up to the name, and appear weak in every aspect of sound compared to the standard issue ipods.
Also, the buds on the sennheisers are slightly larger than those on the ipods .. so they don't fit in my ear as well.
