- These are great headphones. I've owned at least five sets. All of them comfortable, all of them sounded great. And the inline volume control is incredibly convenient. Unfortunately, I need to advise you NOT TO BUY THESE HEADPHONES.
Why? Well, there's a problem with the construction that whenever the cord snags on something, more often than not the left headphone stops working, never to live again. The first few times, I just thought I was a klutz, so the third time it happened, I ordered two sets to replace it. Well, it just snagged again after a month's use, and again, the left headphone died.
It's finally occurred to me (slow learner, here) that MOST people will probably snag their headphones at least as often as I do, so most people will not get more than a few months use out of these. So I regretfully have to advise you to avoid these otherwise wonderful earphones. And I'm looking for something comparably cheap and good with an in-line volume control.
- I bought these earbuds for my CD player (at the time) because the ones I had before died on the right side. They were a pair of RCA behind the neck headphones I bought at Family Dollar for very cheap. I would buy another pair but now I have an iPod and want to buy mostly earbuds and clip headphones that are more portable. I was planning on buying a pair of Philips earbuds at Target because (I thought) these were dead on the right side and I dislike the iPod earbuds, but when I plugged these into my iPod they worked fine. After a break-in session they sound even better.
Well, they are only ten bucks, so what can you expect? Not a ton, not a surround soundstage and great, powerful sound, but maybe something that has at least average sound, are comfortable, and will last a decent amount of time. And thatt's mostly what I got with these earbuds.
They don't have stellar sound (that for some reason a ton of reviews rave about), but they have decent sound that's good enough for the money. Not a lot of bass, but some pairs at this price have barely any bass. The mids on this pair are emphazised (but not by a lot, props to Sony). And they do have a good, clean sound to them, so even if you are unhappy with the low end of these earbuds you at least have a good upper end.
For other aspects of the earbuds, they are very comfortable and fit much better than the Apple earbuds, but feel better with the pads. I have already lost the pads but still fit fine and are still comfortable for long periods of time. Also, these are some durable headphones so far, and after a half-year of use they still put up nicely.
Overall, not a bad pair of esrbuds for portables. Already got a better pair? Keep these for some useful back-ups. They don't have amazing sound, but are comfortable and last long enough to make them worth the price. 4 stars.
NOTE: This version has a volume control remote, and may be a better deal over the MDRE828LP earbuds if you want a remote for your portable device.

- I have spent many years searching for the perfect sport headphone. I was excited to see the new Sennheiser Sport line. I knew I had to try them out. I chose the LX70 model because I liked the headband and the one-sided cord.
In the past I have had great trouble with sport headphones. They have been too heavy to stay on my head. The ear buds have been too large to sit comfortably in my ears. The cords have worn out on one side rendering one speaker useless.
I love the Sennheiser LX70s because they are so light weight. The flexible headband keeps the ear buds secure and the headphones stay on my head. I do not have to adjust the headphones every 30 seconds while running. I can workout and forget that I even have headphones on. The one sided cord keeps the headphones from becoming tangled in limbs and free weights.
- So far I have bought this model, and the MX70 and with both headphones one of the ear buds looses sound complete after a couple of months of use no matter how care one is with them. The LX70 has the annoying tendency to twist in the ear so that rather than the speakers face the ear canal, they flip out during workout so they are perpendicular to the side of the head. Very annoying. What a waste of money. On the plus side, both head phones had okay sound quality and were above average resistant to sweat.
- The sound reproduction was actually decent, but these were hardly "Universal fit." I have one ear slightly smaller than the other, and I thought the headband on this might help to hold the ear buds in place, but it was flimsy (picture a pipe cleaner instead of hard plastic) and the ear bud stubbornly refused to go into my ear.
- I have been searching for the perfect headphones for running. My seach is finally over! These headphones stay in place when I run but are light enough that I don't even notice that I am wearing them. I lost count how many headphones that I have broken the headset bar, or they didn't stay in place or were too heavy. So these headphones are great plus the quality of the sound is excellent!
- I'm sure these are good quality headphones but I returned them because I couldn't get them to fit properly. I did buy a different set of Sennheisers as they are a great product

- I am not a fan of earbuds, so I would have to say that the one brand of headpones that I can trust is Sony. I have purchased many different kinds of headphones and I have to say for being small and compact these are well worth the price. The only downside that I can think of is that the cord is way too long, it is not necessary. Other than that, its a great product that delivers great sound.
- I just got these headphones and i love them.... they not only look cool but have awesome sound. I mainly use my headphones at the gym with ipod works really well i can hear my music despite the gym music. Also the wire is long enough.
Get these.. they are real good...
- I am very pleased with these headphones. I got them to replace a 3 year old pair from Sony that was the precursor to this model. I still use the early model, but they are a little uncomfortable after a while. Which is why I bought this pair, once you get used to them these are quite comfortable, and they have very good audio quality. I put these through pretty tough wear and abuse and they have held up very well.
- The sound is excellent. The wiring is better than some others I've had because it doesn't get tangled easily.
The ear clips are bent too sharply and don't fit well around the ear.
I probably would try some other product before I ordered these again...because of the fit.
- I love music and I take my Zen player with me everywhere, I mean I NEVER leave home without it. So naturally I've gone through a few pairs of headphones, and I absolutely LOVE the clip on ones. They don't mess up your hair and they can't fall off your ears. You can even leave one ear free to talk on the phone or whatever, and still not miss a minute of music! Awesome! And these are black so they match with everything, I highly recommend!

- I bought these about 3 months ago to work out with...I can't exactly run with my SkullCandy Cans (which I love...hence why I tried these buds). I hate the apple buds (not the sound...but they kill my ears). These buds are very comfortable...they sound very good (good bass and treble)...cancel most ambient noise...good length on the cords...and they look great with the different color options. I have used more expensive buds (Sony and Shure)...I can honestly say for most people...these will do just as well. I highly recommend.
- Sound isolation is very important as a commuter and a student. This is the first thing I noticed about these when I put them in my ear: immediate isolation. Its good enough to drown out bus sounds, conversations, and general noise with a little bit of music. It really saves your ears, because you can keep the volume low-medium and still hear it clearly.
Sound quality is great, it does not breakup in lower or higher frequencies and has excellent bass response.
Only problem is, if you're eating something while wearing this, the crunching noise reverbrates through your entire head and can be heard audibly with the earphones in.
- These work great! They are the perfect size for my ears and extremely comfortable. I can usually hear people running on the treadmill next to me, however not with these headphones. They block out any unwanted noise and have a great sound quality to them.

- ***
This earbuds are as cute as could be, sound great, and are durable, but are very, very uncomfortable. I can only wear mine for about a half hour before they begin to hurt and after an hour I have to take them out---then that's it for the whole day. They are a somewhat soft rubber on the outside but the inside is hard plastic; they are comparable in quality to the earbuds that come with iPod nanos. For the price they are adequate, but you can spend about the same or a bit more and get earbuds that are all this and that you can wear for longer as well.
I ended up buying some "Koss "The Plug" Portable Headphones" for under $20 and can wear them all day; I would recommend something like this instead.
I do like the colors that these earbuds come in, but they are more than an accessory for me and have to be usable as well. The sound quality is just fine for a cheaper ear bud---no complaints here.
Mine often fall out because they do not change their shape to accommodate your ear; your ear must change shape to fit this earbud, hence the discomfort.
***
- It's hard to complain about something this inexpensive, but these are the worst earbuds I've ever used. They are too large to fit comfortably in your ear and the material completely abrades your skin. My ears are literally left cut up after using them.
I found the sound quality average at best.
- Well, the reason why I bought this particular pair was, because of the price and the color (white) to go with my iPod...and you get what you pay for. Sound quality is good, but whatever JVC makes the cord out of is crazy. I put it in my bag for five minutes, pull it back out and notice it's all tangled up. It takes 10 minutes to untangle them. If the Apple 's earbuds were cheaper I'd buy them. I don't feel like paying $30 for headphones. The part that goes inside your ear is way too thick for my small ears and it keeps falling out.
- these came quickly and were a great price, however if doing a lot of running/exercising - you may want to find something that is a better quality. The earpiece is pretty large and doesnt stay in your ears that well.
- The product was pretty disappointing. Don't be fooled by the product's name "Gumy". They are not soft or comfortable. They do have a very thin rubber layer on them so maybe that's where they get the name. The worst part about them is they are HUGE. I have normal size ears and had a friend with large ears try them and they are just too big. They do not sit will in the outer ear and fall out very easily. The only reason this product gets three stars is the decent sound quality. But save your money and for an inner ear headphone. You won't be disappointed.

4 comments about TRITTON AXPC, USB True 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headphones.
- They claim on their website that it works with Vista. They don't says that they don't have any Vista drivers ready (after 7 months of Vista being launched) and they only have a BETA Vista 32-bit driver out.
I did install XP to try it out and it does work well for 5.1 headset. However, as others have noted in countless reviews, Tritton headphones do not do a good job at reproducing high quality sound and this is no exception (the AX360 product from them is also not that good at producing crisp high-end sounds).
I would recommend getting a real sound card or just using the built in 5.1 sound that most PC's come with now and a headset that has true 5.1 sound. I don't think this product is really worth it.
- These headphones are a very good quality set. The base response they have is impressive, sound quality is very good and they are comfortable enough to wear for a long period of time. The microphone is also excellent with no problems with clarity.
Unfortunately, this company still does not have a good functioning Windows Vista software package for this headset, and doesn't seem to be in a rush to get one released. Functionality in Vista is therefore greatly limited, and the driver is very annoying - you have to reboot Windows to change from speakers to headphone or vice-versa.
I would not recommend this product to anyone until new proper drivers and software are released, and then I would probably give it a 5 star.
- So I got my Tritton AXPC today and like a little kid on Christmas I tore into them, eager to try them out.
After getting it all set up I pop in some of my favorite games, consisting of Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 2, Unreal Tournament 2004 as well as Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. These games work flawless with the AXPC. Taking full advantage of the positional audio, which really helps submerse you into the games, although most gamers know it's more about reflex and counter attacks rather then pinpointing enemies.
The rumble effect that goes hand-in-hand with the subwoofer channel also provided a welcome extra dimension to my gameplay by emphasizing explosions and vehicle movement.
In three games however, the AXPC had serious issues with positioning ability. These games include Quake 4, PREY, Battlefield 2142. The rear audio in Quake 4 and PREY was completely missing. When you talk to a character and turn around so your back is facing them, all I could hear was ambient noise. There was no issues with my Logitech G51 speakers, I was able to hear the character loud and clear.
For battlefield 2142 I could not tell the difference between front and rear at all. I had also heard some popping noise as well. I tried both hardware and software rendering with no change. I attend to get some popping nose with my Logitech speakers using my onboard sound (Realtek ALC660).
After educating myself a little to see why these titles preformed poorly with the AXPC, I found out that these games use OpenAL which ties heavy with Creative Labs and X-Fi sound cards. Since Microsoft killed off DirectSound with Windows Vista, we are probably going to see more and more games using OpenAL. As to why the AXPC don't work with OpenAL I am not sure. Until C-Media or Tritton rolls out a driver update to combat this issues we are going to be playing these games in stereo mode.
After testing the games I wanted to spend a little time trying out the detachable microphone. I quickly rounded up some friends in Skype and TeamSpeak to see how good the mic sounded... The quality was superb! There wasn't a moment that someone couldn't understand me and they all marveled at the audio clarity coming through to them. A +20dB mic boost feature exists which can be extremely useful for voice applications that don't provide their own amplification, although a small amount of hiss is introduced.
I started to wonder "Can the AXPC be taken seriously outside of gaming?" I started to test some music to see how it sound. I played some my favorite bands consisting of Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails, Bullet for my Valentine, Daft Punk, Rage Against the Machine, and Guess Who. After just firing up some music, it sounded kinda plain with no real depth to the music. I popped open the equalizer and start to adjust some frequencies. After a little fine tuning I was able to get the music to sound remarkably well.
So now intrigued that the AXPC can be taken seriously outside of gaming, I wanted to explore other possibilities as well. I popped my copy of Lord of the Rings to see how it would sound with movies. I watched the climatic battle sequence in native 5.1 surround. Dramatic music, whizzing arrows, clanging swords, screams from behind and pounding orcs that set off the rumble motors... they all sound great on the AXPC, putting ordinary headphones to shame. Impressive would be an understatement here.
- I wish I would have seen these reviews BEFORE I bought this headset. It is of very high quality manufacture and the sound quality with music is outstanding. Problem is it doesn't do what I bought it for and what it is advertised to be; be a solid gaming headset.
As others have mentioned the Vista drivers seem to be the source of the problem and after writing the company I could not get any time frame on when they plan on updating the drivers. At times you can plug the headset in and it just won't work at all. Other times the headphones work and the mic doesn't. Other times everything will work for a few minutes and then give a system resource error and you are forced to reboot. It never just works without some sort of drama.
For those interested I using it on and XP machine you should have much better luck as it works on my XP machine just fine. It's simply too much trouble to bother with this headset using Vista.

4 comments about Cordless Stereo Headset MP3(SN-MTUNE).
- I love my headset. I've had this thing about two months and I wear it around the yard for several hours a day. It is that comfortable. A little bulky on your head, but it gets rid of the cords associated with all the ear buds out there. A little more comfortable if you wear a ball cap. I use it doing yard work, taking the dog for a walk, etc. The sound isolating qualities are just average. Wind is a bit of a problem. If there is a constant breeze, there will be a lot of wind noise. Adjusting the phones doesn't seem to help. This is the only downside I've found.
If you have a Sansa, you should have a set of these. This isn't a high end head set, but very good and very convenient and a good price. Worth every penny!
- Its a cool design, and a very nice listening option for you and your sansa. I mostly use this while at home, whether its doing chores or just laying in bed. The sansa is easy to dock and plug into the headphones and the sound is great. It will be a pain if you want to keep switching tracks you listen to, as you'll most likely have to take the headphones off first... but if you wanna listen to one album straight through, these headphones make it enjoyable and easy.
- I bought this headset for when I mow (3 acres) & it works great!!! I hear it perfectly over the mower, etc... no cords or anything to get in your way!
Also use for the eliptical & on airplanes ... very comfortable, good sound quality.
couldn't be happier
- The cordless headset works very well. I see no real problems in using it, but there could be one drawback. The connection cord does not have enough cord cushion near the plug. when you connect the MP3 player to the headset - the cord is bent at such a sharp angle that there could be some damage or breakage of the wires with extended use.
Overall - it is an excellent device and it works very well. The MP3 unit fits very snug inside of the holder to prevent it from falling out. The headset is light even when the MP3 player is added. The leather ear cushions have good sound insulation properties and are comfortable even over a long period of time wearing them. I even listen to it when I stargaze at night.
I would recommend purchase of the product to all who have a sansa E200 series Mp3 player. I have already tested this product under various circumstances and found it a joy to use and listen to regardless of the task or activity you engage in any time day or night.
