  1. i saw great reviews about these headphones, skullcandy gi...but the sound wasnt even as good as my 7 dollar headphones , plus they are uncomfortable , also ear pad broke right away. i would not recomend these...

  2. I decided i wanted a new pair of headphones that were better than the crappy ones that come with the iPhone so i decided to get these because they looked comfortable and like they had good sound. When I got them they were exactly as I thought they would be. They even come with an extra jack so i can plug it into my amp for my guitar. They are extremely comfy and have good sound. The one problem i encountered was that even the normal jack does not fit in the iPhone although it does in all other iPods. This did not really matter though, because I just got an adaptor so if you have an iPhone you can still get these. They also come with a travel case and black covers which is nice. If you look there is also a cool little surprise if you open up the velcro patch on the side. OVERALL GREAT PRODUCT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

  3. I recently bought and returned these headphones. They may look and feel great, but the sound quality is horrible. The left ear constantly buzzed, and they were not very loud. Do not buy unless they redesign these headphones.

  4. These are pretty good earphones...but the bass is not as pwerful as people said...i have used the skullcrushers with built in amplifier. The quality is good and the durability is excellent. THis was my second choice for skullcandy products. I bought it b/c of the fantastic price

  5. Other than the cool colors that the headphones have, It Sucks.
The cord is way to short, and at full volume they are still low sounding.
I got way better performance out of a $20.00 pair of Sony headphones.

  1. First of all, the color in the photo above is kind of off (or my monitor at work is terrible) - they look a bit more vibrant than you would think. Much less silvery. I suppose they're supposed to match the green 3rd generation iPod Nano, but I can't confirm this.

These headphones were fairly impressive for the price I paid. They block out a lot of ambient noise (allowing you to turn down the volume and save precious battery power), the sound quality is good, and most importantly, they do not hurt my ears. Every other earbud in the world will either not stay in my ear, or will start hurting after about 10 minutes of listening. These ear cushion things are magical; they have just the amount of firmness to stay put without being uncomfortably rigid. When I bought this product a few months ago, it came with an extra set of cushions, but I have yet to lose the ones that were originally attached. They cling with such tenacity, even when at the bottom of my overcrowded bag. Another helpful thing to know: the plug is straight and not bent, so it will probably work with most finicky protective cases. They're noticeably lighter in weight than the earbuds that came with my iPod.

I am notoriously tough on headphones (see: previously mentioned bag of doom), and these lasted me 3-4 months which, honestly, is way more than I ever expected from something that looked so flimsy and only cost $20. The left bud finally died on me yesterday during my ride home, completely out of the blue. Prior to this, there had been no change in sound quality or reliability. This morning's commute was miserable because I had to use the earbuds that came with my iPod. It made me very aware of how well these earphones block out train noise and muffle loud conversation, while allowing me to actually hear my music at a low volume.

Long story short, I'm plunking down $20 for a new pair with no hesitations. The bottom line is, if you have small ears or discomfort problems with other earbuds, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised with this product.

  1. Love these for listening to books on tape or CD. If you bend over, they don't fall off. Great stuff

  2. Not sure why the write-ups don't say anything about it, but the connector requires no adapter to work with the iPhone. For me, the earbuds that come with the iPhone don't fit all that well, but these fit perfectly and produce excellent sound quality. And the retractable cord means you never have to worry about these things getting tangled up in your pocket or gearbag. Highly recommended!

  3. PROS:
-Retractible cord is very functional and very cool.
-Fit is also functional as well and comfortable. I wear glasses and most earphones these style that hang on your ears usually never work with glasses on, but these do for some reason. Also the spring lock feature works fairly well to keep the hook taught on your ears without the wobble you usually get from these design.
-In silent environments, you can hear that the sound quality is pretty even and good. Anything louder than your library and you don't hear much.
-Colors and options. I've seen like 9 different color combos for these on the web. In Japan one guy or company actually fit a micro SD Card MP3 player into one of the earcups so you get an all-in-one package.
-Really good build quality. Good value!

    CONS:
-The reason I stopped using these is the NYC Subway. Outside of the library or morgue these earphones let in every sound that is around you and the music you want to hear fades below everything else. Before buying these, I had Sony Fontopia MDR in-ear buds (which sealed out all the outside noise) and those caused an ear infection so I had to get over the ear style headphones and I got these. So immediately when I wore these I was VERY DISSAPPOINTED when I realized how loud everything else was during my commute. The sound quality is pretty good, but the design lets in too much noise to be able to enjoy what you're playing.
-I wished the foam bits were removable or replacable with something that is more seal-able (like rubber) which would be good for keeping outside sound out.

  4. I really like these headphones. Pros: They stay on your ears well, the reel mechanism (for winding the cable up inside the 'phones) is resilient, and the cable is extremely thin. Oh, and the sound quality seems fantastic to me, though I'm no audiophile.

Cons: The picture of this product shows white headphones, but I was shipped black ones (would have preferred the white) -- not too big a deal, I guess. Here's the most irritating drawback: The cable that goes from the headphones to the jack is too short! I cannot use these to listen to my iPod nano with it in my pants pocket; the cable, fully extended, doesn't let the nano reach the end of the pocket and the weight of the device pulls the left headphone off my ear as I walk. But I'm 6'2"; if you're 5'8" or shorter this probably won't be an issue for you. You could also keep your MP3 player higher than your waist, which is what I do (but it's not ideal).

  5. I like them a lot, the sound is good and I LOVE the retractable cords. I am a little concerned about the thickness of the cord though and I would have prefered a 90 degree plug. They are really nice if you are using them while moving around. They fit into a pocket with ease.
However, they are not comfortable to use for long periods of time. I tried to wear them at work, but after several hours of use, the clips hurt my ears. So I use the Sony MDR-Q22LP model for long periods of time.

  1. The noise cancellation is really making the sound louder. There is no noise cancellation and I would argue (without poping it open) that the "microphones" on the speakers used for noise cancellation are in fact just for aesthetic purposes. By making it louder you are unable to hear external noise, however I generally listen to everything pretty low, and around-ear headphones cancel the noise quite better without any "cancellation" technology.

Also it requires a AAA battery to operate and is VERY bulky compared to normal headphones. What the picture does not show is the big "pen" that comes with the headphones which acts as the noise cancellation device. Lota wires because of it, quite uncomfortable to carry.

    Bottom line: Don't buy this.

  2. These probably wouldn't be able to stack up against Bose Headphones or something that expensive. But, if you need something that you can use while you mow and work in loud areas, these can work. They don't totally go over your ears, but they do seal well enough to hear somewhat. As far as an airplane goes, these would do if you weren't comfortable taking something so expensive like Bose QC2s or QC3s with you to risk losing them to your not so friendly government official. I wish they had more battery capacity so they could go a Little louder, and I wish they sealed a little better, but other than that they are up to the job.

  3. I use these with my Creative Zen M, mainly while commuting to work on a bus. While the noise canceling isn't what you'd expect on a more expensive set, these work very well as far as I'm concerned. And I don't get any buzzing with it switched on.

The Zen is renowned for being too quiet, but these head sets have a volume control which gives me the ability to turn the volume above the Zen's maximum. That, and that they fit snuggly and do have some noise canceling effect makes them worth the money that I paid. And being in Australia, the shipping to me was more expensive than the unit itself.

    I'm still happy.

  4. I just got them today. It does not cancel anything! It can't even cancel low noise of pc while working (ventilation, hd, typing). Don't even wanna talk about cancelation of noise while someone is watching tv, typing, phone ringing. 0%. null, nothing. When you turn them on, it only amplifies the sound, and amplification works even with total silence, so amplification is not result of noise reduction !

Headphones should be renamed to "amplified headphones".

  5. I think these headphones are awesome! On my treck to work I go from city street, to bus, to subway station, to subway train - in and out of tunnels, and back to city streets. The outside noise volume goes from 1 to 10 and back to 1. With these headphones I can keep my I-Pod saftly zipped deep in my purse, and carry the volume control in the palm of my hand. As I go from one place to another I adjust the volume up or down without missing a note. With other headphones I couldn't hear a thing in the subway, but as soon as I came out my ears would shatter from the volume. Without these headphones I don't even bother to listen to my I-Pod during my commute, it's too much trouble. It is true that it doesn't block out all noise. But unless you're in a safe place you don't want to be able to block out all noise. You still need to be aware of what's happening around you, you need to hear annoucements, car horns, etc. I just broke mine - I snapped them in half - it was my fault. I went right out and bought another pair. Let me tell you ... I've got a big drawer full of headphones and NONE of them can hold a candle to these!!

  1. I was looking for a flat-response, high-quality monitor headphone set. In this product, I found one that is comfortable, hi fidelity, efficient (excellent volume preservation), and very reasonably priced. It allows you to hear the music while also letting in some ambient sound, which matches my need for playing an instrument while listening, but not so much that you'd be distracted.

  2. These are great headphones, I use them for hours each day.

I don't use them in a studio. but they can take a beating, in a backpack all day.

Great quality sound. You can listen to the music as it's supposed to be, no distortion.

I don't like how long the cord is. Even when I plug them into a computer or an amp i still have too much slack, it gets in the way.

  3. Estos son unos excelentes Stereo Headphones, gran calidad por el precio, comodos y faciles de usar con gran fidelidad y calidad de sonido.
    Wow Wow Wow...

  1. These headphones are great sounding. I bought them as my first pair of headphones over $40, because i needed something that was strong enough to block out the subway train rattling on my commute to school. I loved them when i first began listening, the bass was warm, the vocals were crisp and clear. But then a week later one earphone gradually faded, and stopped working. I returned them to the store for a second pair, which did the same thing after a week of use. As did the third.
I am now on my 4th pair, and i dreadfully wish i could just get my 100 bucks back. I'm stuck with these stupid things and it's been over 30 days, so now i must mail them into v-moda to get them replaced. What a pain!
If you are interested in these headphones, i would only recommend them if you are not going to be walking, jogging, or running with them. They are not durable enough to wear while active. not at all.

  2. This headset has proven to be an exceptional purchase. I was hesitant based on some other reviews and problems those had but I proceed with caution. I followed the burn in procedure as recommended and the quality in sound is exceptional. There have been no issues with physical failures or excess wear. This headset is used on a daily basis and gets a great deal of wear and tear and it's held wonderfully up to the challenge.

  3. I love these little things. They slip into your ear comfortably and do not fall out like most in-ear head phones tend to. The sound is amazing too! THe earphones come with a little black pouch, and I really recommend putting them in it when you're not using them because they are very tiny, with thin wires, and they can be somewhat fragile.

  4. These ear buds first of all, are not just for show. The sound compared to the Bose in-ears is much more crisp and clear, and the bass is less than the Bose, but these have more bass than any in-ears I've tried. The wires are very high quality, durable, and don't tangle up too much. Many people think these ear buds are a joke (fashion), but when my friend tried them(he listens to Radiohead, altern. rock) he immediately went to buy a set. I highly recommend these.

  5. Not a lasting set of ear buds. Mine did work longer than most but finally failed in the same manner as all others I've read about. One earpiece is barely audible now. Don't bother asking V-Moda if they offer any repair as they don't. I lasted out the one year warranty though...lucky me. They sound great while they last but I'd recommend buying something else as these aren't worth the price.

  1. I bought these to try for noisy bus rides associated with my work. There is a definite difference when they're turned on versus using them as regular headphones. Sometimes, I have even used them strictly to cancel noise instead of listening to anything and have also used them without power. Either way, I am impressed. Comfort level is okay and they fold into a pouch (included). The single battery lasts a long time as long as you don't leave the switch on when not in use. This is of competitive quality with some much more expensive models and I really got a lot more than I expected for this price. Especially as they are considered "portable" headphones.

  2. I think they did a genious design for the headphone (can be folded) but its too tight to your head and painful if you wear it for more tan 5 mins.
The sound quality is very good

  3. I bought these for my teenage niece for Christmas for her Ipod. My sister was tired of hearing her music from outside her headphones. Shortly after Christmas, my sister called thanking me profusely because she can't hear a thing now. So, I guess they work great. Not sure about the sound quality for the user, but for a teenager, they are fine.

  4. I purchased these headphones as a gift. Didn't even get a chance to see if they really cancelled noise...the band that unfolded to hold the headphones on the top of the head was so hard and uncomfortable, you couldn't even wear it!

I returned them immediately and purchased Philips noise-cancelling headphones with a behind-the-neck band. Much more comfortable.

  5. I know it sounds great, folding, noise canceling, and everything, yet it doesn't do a good job of any of the things it boasts about.

Couple of things why you shouldn't buy this.

    1. The Noise canceling doesn't work very well. One of the worst I've seen. It's not very well made because the noise canceling is suppose to only send out a certain amount of radio waves to block the ones coming in, and yet they made the noise canceling too loud and you can here the radio waves all too loudly.

    2. Very cheap material, it looks good in the picture, but the actual product doesn't look all that good.

    3. The ear part is the weirdest size. It doesn't go over the year and it just kind of squeezes your ears to stay on. It doesn't cover your ears very well.

    4. The head band is not round, it's square because of the folding option. You look goofy when you wear it, only wear it inside the house.

    5. You can't wear it for a very long time. It's not comfortable.

Please do not buy this. For your own good.
