  1. I purchased these to replace my ipod earphones and I must say that this was the best $15 I've spent in a long time!!! Crisp highs, nice bass. I am an audiophile and these probably sound better than any of those $100+ headphones you can get.

  2. the wire tangles when you put it in your pocket or any pouch
    sound quality is good...

  3. These cost me $15. They sound better than my $25 Philips and have better bass than my $100+ Shures. I had two concerns about buying these (or any other) earphones: Sound and fit. Would they sound better than a tin can? Would they stay in my ears during workouts? The bass is great. I even cranked up the sound and the bass held and didn't begin to sound tinny the way it would with most earbuds. I can't believe you get bass this good for $15. I also tried them out with classical music and the sound was as good as or better than any other earbuds I've had. These fit well in my ear. I tried shaking them out, but they stayed put. One thing I noticed is that if an earbud is not seated properly, the sound in that ear is diminished. When I repositioned it, the sound was better balanced with rich sounds in both ears.

Finally, I found that I needed to turn down the volume from where I was forced to set it with other buds. I turned up the sound with the Philips earbuds so I could hear all ranges, but that's not necessary with these Sony earbuds. The sound is clear at lower volumes.

  1. Earbuds sound great with mp3 player or dvd player. I was pleasantly surprised they sounded so good, very comfortable and sturdy too. Would highly recommend.

  2. I recently purchased these phones to use as an extra pair, and am very impressed with the sound. I usually use a pair of Shure e3c, and I would compare these phones to those very favorably.

I paid significantly less for these than the Shure.

If you have never used these style of in ear phones, you are in for a treat, they really block out all external noise, creating a great soundstage. The benefit of this technology, is that you can listen to audio at lower sound levels, which has obvious benefits to otological health.

Overall, I am impressed with the quality of this product, especially considering the price.

  3. I am really happy with my ear buds - they work great and are very comfortable. The three sizes of covers would help them fit anyone comfortably I believe. The price was great and as usual Amazon's service was good. I'm no audiophile or anything but I'm very happy with these.

  4. I bought these earbuds mainly to get a pair that fit in my ears. Regular earbuds will not stay in my ears. These come with 3 different size buds and the small fits well.

I have listened only to audiobooks so far and the sound is good. These earbuds block outside noise very well. I have been able to turn the volume down to 4 or 5. They even block out kitchen noises (I wear them while I cook) like running water and the spice grinder. I tried to listen to them while using the food processor and I could hear the reader if I turned the volume up a bit, but the noise was finally too distracting.

One thing I have noticed a couple of times was after I listened to a book for an hour or more I started to get a headache. It was more than likely a coincidence and not related to the earbuds. If it is related to the earbuds, I think it probably is due to the type of earbuds (internal) they are and not related to the brand.

  5. First off, the only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 stars is because I had switch out the Sennheiser bud tips for my old Sony MDR-EX71s. The Sennheiser tips created an uncomfortable suction inside my ear canal.
Sound is awesome. I'd equate the bass to having a subwoofer in your mouth...but the full range is no punk either. The cord is just long enough to have your player in pocket and comfortably wear the 300s; preferably left pocket since that's the short side of the line. Any more movement than a casual walk and you may want to invest in a short extension, or clip your player somewhere above waist level.

Listening to KMFDM - "Juke Joint Jezebel" @ half volume

  1. Package actually says adjusts for children and adults. However, they are a bit big (but still useable) for my nearly 4 year old. I would not recommend them for an under fiver. 5-8 with a good sized noggin. 8+ just fine. Otherwise, they work and seem pretty durable. These do not fold (in case that was not obvious). I think the description is a bit misleading. Alternatively, I was going to purchase the panda or tiger headphones (maybe smaller?). However, they are not so egregiously big that I feel I must get something else.

  2. Bought these for my 3-year-old daughter to wear while watching DVDs and the ipod on a plane. Perfect fit. No sliding off like others that have the metal extenders. The "rubber" of the headset grabbed her hair better. So they stayed on. She didn't pull at them. Snug fit over the ears too. Bigger oval pads cover the ears really well. Excellent buy for the money.

  1. Sometimes they fall out of my ears, but the sound is really good. They play loud and clearly. Incase you didn't know these are JVC's so you know what to expect...good performance.

  2. I had a set of peperment blue gumy phones. I was very satisfied, especially with the comfort. My blue ones were stolen. I like the look of these new green ones.

  3. I got the gumy earbuds in green, I must admit to match my ipod I'm pretty vain like that, and they were uncomfortable. Perhaps it was silly of me to just assume that something called 'gumy' would be more comfortable then other earbuds rather then it just being a ploy to take nine or some dollars from silly young persons like myself.
    Three Star for being uncomfortable.

This earbuds are as cute as could be, sound great, and are durable, but are very, very uncomfortable. I can only wear mine for about a half hour before they begin to hurt and after an hour I have to take them out---then that's it for the whole day. They are a somewhat soft rubber on the outside but the inside is hard plastic; they are comparable in quality to the earbuds that come with iPod nanos. For the price they are adequate, but you can spend about the same or a bit more and get earbuds that are all this and that you can wear for longer as well.

I ended up buying some "Koss "The Plug" Portable Headphones" for under $20 and can wear them all day; I would recommend something like this instead.

I do like the colors that these earbuds come in, but they are more than an accessory for me and have to be usable as well. The sound quality is just fine for a cheaper ear bud---no complaints here.

Mine often fall out because they do not change their shape to accommodate your ear; your ear must change shape to fit this earbud, hence the discomfort.

  5. I have had these for around 4 years and they still work great, the wire is starting to fray so I'm looking to buy another pair just like them. The ipod headphones don't work well at all for me when I tried to work out because they always fell out, but these stay in your ears great and are very comfortable!

  1. I can't complain too much about the headset not being stereo (what's the deal with the "L" and "R" on the earcups and the two-wire leads?) when you realize I only spent $15 on it. It was a bit deceiving, I think. The headset is one of the more comfortable ones around, besides being wireless. I connect it to my stereo which is connected to my satellite dish so I watch TV with them, not annoying my neighbors. I've even purchased extra sets to give as gifts to friends.

  2. Fast delivery great seller, product wasn't the headset I wanted I had made a mistake on my choice, but the seller refunded right away. I will do business with this seller again in the future. Very professional. Thank you
    Cynthia

  3. This is a good product for the price, AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A FRESH 9V IN THE TRANSMITTER. It does not come with batteries- I will bet that those reviewers who complain of static "out of the box" scrounged a partly-used battery from something else. The transmitter devours 9v's quickly, and as the battery drains the headphones start to buzz and static. With a fresh battery, they are perfect- my TV is upstairs, and I can go downstairs and fix a sandwich and still hear perfectly. But, the transmitter really needs an ac adapter.

Also, on a TV with multiple sound outputs, it will only work for the output you attach it to.

  4. I bought 2 pr of H1000 headphones. Didn't buy from here and am returning tomorrow, but I will post this review everywhere I can. I have never had such a poor customer service experience in my life. When I get great service, I overtip, or talk the manager and tell him how pleasant my experience was with the CS rep, etc. A lot of people work in retail and customer service. Some bad, some good. I get that. But you can't only gripe about the bad. I balance it both ways. I walk away feeling good and so does the CS rep, and the manager.

2-3 emails at most and here is the last from a "VP" in the company. I mean obviously she better grow a tougher hide if she can't take a bit of heat, but good grief. Read below. Opinions welcomed.

Okay, thanks James! Great, yet utterly useless info. Like mastercard, your response is priceless! If you remember correctly, my first email said, "I am tech savvy" and then I gave detailed, precise 123 descrip of what I had done as product instructions, to show I was no idiot. YOUR REPSONSE, to quote: You can only use one transmitter per household.

Cutting a bunch of useless info but I guess this got them whacked:

I have been PC savvy for 23 years, pre-windows. I was probably using computers before you were out of diapers. Cut me a break. Men and tech. Unreal.

Anyway, all done, anytime I see Sentry, I will come back here, cut and paste this review.

Okay, off to find a decent pair of wireless headphones that actually work.

  5. Don't waste you hard earned dollars on this - it nearly gets a clear sound when you stand with your head cocked just the right way
    - ONLY while standing right next to it.
I guess you do have the option to get a backback and carry the cords, receiver, stand, music source, ect with you - but why?
Also.... the battery cover broke while loading the batteries the first time ( duck tape fixed that ).

Not the senders fault - just crappily made.

  1. I've bought a few different headsets, from all in one head phone sets to pendant style. The JVC's sound quality is VERY good, even with the included headphones.

The microphone is in the body of the device so in order to use it as a headset you need to clip it to either a shirt pocket or your collar (not exactly comfortable when wearing a t-shirt).

I enjoy the ability to swap headphones (especially for a set with a longer cord).

Another nice thing is that if I'm using this to play music from my phone over my car stereo and a call comes in I just clip the receiver to my seat belt and I've got a handsfree set.

I'm using this with an HP1200tx and a T-Mobile Wing.

  1. First of all, the color in the photo above is kind of off (or my monitor at work is terrible) - they look a bit more vibrant than you would think. Much less silvery. I suppose they're supposed to match the green 3rd generation iPod Nano, but I can't confirm this.

These headphones were fairly impressive for the price I paid. They block out a lot of ambient noise (allowing you to turn down the volume and save precious battery power), the sound quality is good, and most importantly, they do not hurt my ears. Every other earbud in the world will either not stay in my ear, or will start hurting after about 10 minutes of listening. These ear cushion things are magical; they have just the amount of firmness to stay put without being uncomfortably rigid. When I bought this product a few months ago, it came with an extra set of cushions, but I have yet to lose the ones that were originally attached. They cling with such tenacity, even when at the bottom of my overcrowded bag. Another helpful thing to know: the plug is straight and not bent, so it will probably work with most finicky protective cases. They're noticeably lighter in weight than the earbuds that came with my iPod.

I am notoriously tough on headphones (see: previously mentioned bag of doom), and these lasted me 3-4 months which, honestly, is way more than I ever expected from something that looked so flimsy and only cost $20. The left bud finally died on me yesterday during my ride home, completely out of the blue. Prior to this, there had been no change in sound quality or reliability. This morning's commute was miserable because I had to use the earbuds that came with my iPod. It made me very aware of how well these earphones block out train noise and muffle loud conversation, while allowing me to actually hear my music at a low volume.

Long story short, I'm plunking down $20 for a new pair with no hesitations. The bottom line is, if you have small ears or discomfort problems with other earbuds, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised with this product.
