5 comments about Sony Mdr-E10Lp/Pink Headphones -Fashion Earbuds (Pink).
- These headphones are comfortable even for long periods of wear, and they deliver fine sound for audiobook listening, which was my major purpose. My kids use they with their various music devices and are satisfied -- and they are inexpensive enough that when the kids lose the earbuds, my blood pressure does not rise.
- I ordered these earbuds to listen to music and sounds on my computer at work. They came very quickly and they have more than met my expectations. The sound is absolutely fabulous.. I didn't know earbuds could sound that good.. plus they are really pretty.. fit very well into your ears with out any discomfort. Plus you can't beat the great price.
I would highly suggest these earbuds whether it is for an ipod, laptop or computer.. you will very much enjoy these. They get an A+ with me.
- I do not have this product are lost my package, I fail asu destination, buy another equally lost my money
- I bought two of these earbuds since they match my white PSP, but I've been disappointed with the sound quality. It lacks bass and has a tinny, slightly harsh quality to them. Overall, it sounds decent though, and after getting used to these it no longer bothered me much. Also note that the white plastic is soft and tends to get discolored rather easily, which is disappointing also since the main reason I bought these is for the color. Anyway, for better sound quality and a lower price, I would recommend the Sony MDR-E828LP earbuds, they really sound significantly better than the E10LPs. Sony MDR-E828LP Fontopia Earbuds with Winding Case
- I got these earphones to replace the ones that came with my iPod...I love the extra long cord and the stylish color. The sound cuality is average, but I got these mostly because they seemed like the only ones that wouldn't fall out of my ears. Some pricier headphones that I have purchased were too big for me, but these fit perfectly.

5 comments about Sennheiser HD600 Over-Ear Open Dynamic Hi-Fi Professional Stereo Headphones (Black).
- As a New York recording a mixing engineer I've had the opportunity to listen to quite a few pairs of headphones. The Sennheiser HD600s are the clearest, fullest, and most balanced headphones I've heard so far. While they wouldn't work for a performer in the studio because of the open-air design and considerable leakage, they have become a must-have as a mixing reference, especially when mixing in a new and unfamiliar room.
Grado makes some wonderful headphones that sound nearly as good as the HD600s but the up-against-the-ear design makes them uncomfortable after less than 15 minutes, whereas the HD600s, even with their snug fit, are still very comfortable for long periods of time.
If you know of a better pair of headphones, I want to know about them!
- I've been wanting to buy a HD600 for many years because it seemed to be the benchmark for a lot of professional studio engineers and reviewers, not to mention budding audiophiles. But I hesitated because it's pretty expensive in Australia (A$600-700) and wasn't sure whether I wanted an Open headphone. Until recently I only had Closed ones including Sennheiser HD280pro. But I bought Koss KSC75 and Alessandro MS-1 (a tweaked Grado SR80) open headphones and liked the sound. Given the recent fall of the US dollar, I decided to purchase HD600 from amazon - even after a hefty shipping charge of US$54, it still only cost me US$349 (about A$385).
I burned it in for about 200 hours using a variety of source materials including a couple of audio test CDs. I mostly listen to my music collection (re-ripped in either ALC lossless or AAC 256kbps) in my iPod Classic 80G via line-out to my Minibox-E headphone amp (which is a fantastic little amp I got from Head Direct for US$159). (It's not a good idea to connect your amp to the iPod's earphone output. Buy a line-out connector.)
The HD600 is beautifully built and wonderful to look at. Its clamping force is a bit too strong initially but it gets better with use. It's now one of the most comfortable headphones I tried.
The sound is exactly what I expected after reading so many reviews over the years. It's very clear, neutral and musical. It highlights any inadequacies of the source material. Low-bit rate MP3s are painful. But it lets you discover your music collection all over by bringing out the details you never noticed before.
I also use it with my computer sometimes. I connect it directly to an external soundcard (Creative Audigy 2NX USB with separate power) and it seems to drive HD600 adequately. I might purchase a dedicated DAC unit later. Also on the wish list is a balanced rig (amp & cable with XLR connectors). It costs about US$2000 but it's supposed to make HD600 sing. The question is whether I can justify the expense to my wife. :)
- There have been so many reviews here I almost didnt write one but with the lack of reviews by producers I decided to add one more to the list.
If you're producing audio like myself you already know theres no replacement for a good set of monitors. That said there's a few reasons you may be mixing through a set of cans.
My reasons are that my studio is sometimes mobile and that I'm often mixing in my apartment (I've found that boxers and a t-shirt are a superior choice for studio apparel).
I'm running an Mbox2 with Pro-Tools 7 (sometimes switch to Nuendo... don't hate me... hush now Abelton users).
I also use these with my Ivory Keys VST and it sounds pretty nice, I think they add a bit of warmth when compared to a set of Mackies, could be the spatial difference, but I actually like it better through the Senns, a bit more personal I guess.
That said, I feel pretty happy with the sound from these cans.
I've been using them for almost a year now, extensively.
They're a bit lacking in the low-ends when I push them, but when you pair them up with an analyzer you can usually compensate pretty nicely with a combo of visual and audio reference.
They are open-ear, so dont expect your vocalists to be using them in the sound booth or you'll be recording the sound coming from the headphones along with the vox. For the producer, the only real place for these is in the mix down if you're trying to be quiet... or your one of those weirdos who uses cans for some bizarre voodoo mixing ritual.(I've heard of these guys but never met one)
They are definitely more comfortable than some of the other headsets I've tried, Grado's being the least comfortable, Sony's aren't bad.
Sometimes I seem to put them on wrong and my ears start hurting pretty quickly but if I slide them around on my head a bit so my ears are good and centered I can wear them for a few hours before I need to take em off.
I think the most important thing to note here is my experience with Sennheisers customer service.
Recently I snapped the headset in half, dunno if it was from cheap plastic construction or just lots of use. Regardless I contacted Senn and asked what I needed to do, assuming I'd have to send them in and wait a week to get them fixed. Instead Senn offered to just send me a new headband and I could replace it myself.
Because of the modular construction of these cans that will be pretty easy to do and lets me keep using them while I wait for my replacement.
Needless to say, that made me pretty happy.
The cords firmly snap in and out of the cans via 2 pronged plugs, nice for those who accidentaly step on the cord while they stand up.
On a consumer level note, if you are listening to MP3's or any compressed audio format in a portable device... or any device for that matter, dont buy these, you're wasting your money.
I'm not insulting you, I'm being serious.
There are cheaper alternatives for compressed audio.
If you like your music and can't blast your speakers for some reason or the other, then I'd say these are a pretty nice set. Not the best for sound but close enough that the price and comfort make up for the slight difference you may hear in a set of (very uncomfortable) Grado's.
For those of you who are worried about reproducing the "original sound" of a recording, you need to laugh at yourself for a minute and realize that we process those sounds pretty thoroughly before we even bounce them to a track. Compressors, EQ's, Verbs, etc., sometimes before the signal even hits the sound card it's gone through a pre-amp. Aside from that the difference between audio still in the DAW and a bounced track is pretty dramatic. You're just not going to hear what we hear in the studio. Go with what you like.
Some like it crispy, some like it warm.
If you can listen to your favorite track through the headphones before you decide to buy them, do that.
Leave em on your head for a while see how they fit.
I recommend trying them out if your searching for a set.
They work nicely for my purposes.
- I could go on and on about these phones, the umpteen reviews you read on this site indicate what you already suspect, these are phenomenal quality for the price. They are comfortable, sound fantastic, and have stood up to abuse by me and my two teen age sons. I got them on a whim, wanted some nice headphones to listen to classical and jazz music without disturbing my family. They quickly disappeared into my two teenaged son's bedrooms who listen to a variety of music, rock, jazz, pop, choral, everytihng. You can spend a lot more and not get any better. Just buy them and enjoy, you won't be disappointed. they will produce anything you want from the deepest 32 contrabombard, jaco pastorius, the Flecktones, the Stones, the Guarneri quartet, to Joshua Bell and Izthak Perlman. These are the best. Not to be missed!!!
- These are great headphones - neutral, smooth and easy on the ears for nearly all types of music. I've got a few sets of cans including the Audio Technica A900, Shure E2C and Future Sonics Atrio M8's. The new Senn's are easily my favorite, particularly after breaking in for a few days. Typical use is with a Zune 30gb, powered by a Little Dot MK1 portable amplifier. The amp really helps drive the Senn's well although the Zune is capable of decent sound on it's own if you don't have any amplification.
The Senn's are very comfortable for extended periods of listening, my longest is about 4 hours at this point. They fit nicely over my ears without any trouble although do slightly pinch my head. I'm not a small guy so this may not be a problem for everyone but be aware they do fit pretty snug compared with the Audio Technica A900's at least. No problems with sweating or getting warm, the earpads are cloth, which I suspect helps a great deal.
Build quality seems fine, although the cable seems pretty flimsy (it can be replaced but get your wallet ready) and the marbled plastic look isn't necessarily my favorite. The box it comes in is very nice, and Amazon did a great job packing in a very large box with plenty of packing material.

- The right earbud cord is significantly longer than the left, which results in the cord flailing around during exercise and is bothersome in general. I'd return them if I could and because this flaw is so obvious will be hesitant to buy any other Denon product.
- At roughly $40, these earphones offer great sound and comfort for a reasonable price. I was not happy with the standard Ipod earbuds but did not want to fork out $80 or more for the Etymotics or other earplug type phones. The Denon's tonal balance is not bright for a change, and some may wish for some more pronounced highs, but I think it is a nice change from the often fatiguing harshness in this area. I am perfectly happy with the bass response using the Ipod's Bass Booster setting--the only EQ setting on the Ipod that does not sound terrible in my opinion. Highly recommended.
- By far some of the finest quality in-ear headphones I've ever used. I've owned shure, sony, and now these Denon's and they easily rival my Sennheiser on-ear headphones for audio quality, and due to the noise-blocking of the in-ear style they are much better for use in loud or noisy environments.
Incredible quality for the price..
- Worst headphones I've ever had. Yes, they are the most comfortable in ears I've ever tried, but their performance sucks otherwise.
First off, they have NO low end. The crappiest in ears at least have a little base to them. These have none at all. Everything sounds like its coming through a tin can.
Second, they pop and crackle at any reasonable volume. Not ear-shattering volumes, but like 3 out of 10 volumes.
If I hadn't destroyed the hermetically sealed packaging getting them out, I would return these sh* headphones.
STAY AWAY.
- My son loves these noise canceling headphones. They seem to be much more durable than the ones that come with the apple ipods and iphones too. We were replacing those every 3 months, but these hold up to normal wear and tear.

5 comments about Koss Pro4AAT Titanium Pro Headphones.
- These headphones sound great and work well. The only problem is that your neck starts to hurt after wearing them for a while because they are heavy. This will pass though! After wearing them for a while your neck gets use to the extra weight and you will fill fine again. Same with the ear's, they are tight against your ears. While it blocks outside sound great they hug up on your ears pretty hard and start to hurt after a while. My head and ears are of average size and I thought after reading some of these reviews, only people with big heads had this problem. I think if you have really small ears then you wont have this problem. But they are great headphones. I bought them mainly for gaming to block outside noise so I could hear footsteps.
- I had a friend who owned some Koss UR20s, and they were awesome headphones. The bass response was good, they were THE most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, and they've lasted a good many years.
Contrasting this, I decided to "go all out" and buy some Pro4AATs. The statistics on the Pro4AAs were blowing the UR20s out, so I bought it.
I've been dissatisfied with my purchase ever since.
The Pro4AATs have mediocre bass response at best. The sound quality is thin. They weigh too much! I can't wear them for longer than an hour, because it presses down too hard on the top of my head.
3 years later, I'm still using these Pro4AAs, and my friend is still using his UR20s. I did a sound test, and the UR20s still wup up on the Pro4AAs.
- These lasted me about 6 months before the plastic piece that holds the left earpiece on snapped into two pieces. They did get dropped quite regularly, but they broke one day when I took them off, I heard the sound of plastic snapping and the left earpiece was hanging by a wire not much thicker than a thread. I partially blame the fact that I dropped them so much as I do the fact that I have a large head.
Regardless considering how often these got dropped, they held up quite well for headphones these days. I have had plenty of headphones that did not hold up as long that I never got the chance dropped (mainly Sennheisers, they don't hold up at all) or broke the first time they were dropped from half the height.
The best part, is if you ask anyone who ever dealt with Koss before, they will tell you to ship them to Koss and Koss will replace them no questions asked for the price of shipping.
These headphones do sound quite good for the money. I'm very picky when it comes to sound, and these don't give me much to complain about. There is a slight drop offs in certain midrange frequencies, but other than that the sound is very balanced with clear highs, good bass and good low mids.
I would recommend the big brother of these headphones, the Koss Pro 4AAs to anyone considering these headphones or headphones in the $60-$150 price range. The sound quality is top notch and they are built like a tank and will withstand all the abuse you can throw at them. I currently own a new pair, and have used and abused an old pair for many years as kid (they still work but the foam on the headpiece has fallen off and pulls my hair out). Only downside is they are even heavier than the Pro 4AATs, but it has not been a problem for me.
- after trying a few different open backed headphones i knew i had to have closed back phones. these koss pro4aat's are right for me. block out almost all ambient sound while delivering the music as you want it to sound.initially i found the sound muddy and booming-easily cured by turning bass levels down (not something i normally do!!) some reviewers find them heavy or hot on the ears-but not me. they also look good and are well made. you would have to spend a lot more money to get a better headphone.
- Excellent audio quality for a good price! Very balanced in the whole frequency range. High tones are clearly reproduced, whereas the bass does not dominate. Can be recommended for all music lovers! It is worth its price.

- I love them. I bought one headphone with the base unit for my personal use but loved them so much I decided to buy an additional one for my girlfriend. You DO NOT need an additional stand for these, they will work with your existing one.
- The RS-130 headphones are the best, most comfortable I have ever used. I have a hearing problem so I can't speak about the audiophile quality but I can now enjoy TV to its fullest.
- This is my second pair of these headphones. I gave my first pair to a friend. The sound quality is great, and they work for such a long range--anywhere in my house without interference.
- I set up the headphones and they worked well with our TV for two weeks and then one night while using them the transmitter just stopped working-no power. I have to send them to Sennheiser for repair. What a hassle.
- I have had mine for about 6 months. I purchased an LCD TV with poor sound quality. I plugged it into the TV and now I have excellent stereo sourround sound. Also, if your wife does not like the program, you can turn the sound down on the TV and adjust the sound on the head phones.

- I saw these earplugs at a convention before a marathon. The owner of the company said they were the best for runners because out in the street you could hear all things around you as well as have this super high definition sound from your audio. Not true. Outside AND in the gym, all the other noises around stiffled the sound of my audio. And I was listening to Def Leppard! Returned the plugs immediately, sorry!
- These earphones are well made, attractive, and comfortable to wear. However, they don't meet with expectations. There are many products for the same price or less that produce a much fuller sound. Basically, there is no bass; they sound something like an early transistor radio earphone. I'm 64 so maybe my cartilage doesn't transmit sound so well, but I'd suggest anyone wanting these should try them before buying. Also, on my IPod and my Slacker Portable, the volume has to be cranked to the max, at which the sound is at least acceptable. This is not necessary for any of my other earphones.
For joggers, bikers, etc. they may be the ticket since they don't drown out ambient sounds. Interestingly, if I push them to my ears with my hands, the sound is better than average. Maybe they will work better under my motorcycle helmet. If so, I'll add a review.
- I have this for over 3 months and the best thing about it is the peace of mind that my hearing won't be damage. The sound might not be the best but I only uses it at home when I'm studying.
- I love these headphones. They are comfortable, they sound great (a little bit light on the bass but fantastic mids and treble), they stay on my ears through all kinds of activities (from running to the treadmill and weightlifting to biking), they are a great solution to the new hands free law in California when driving on the cell phone, and the best part, they allow you to stay in tune with your outside environment, whether you are talking on the cell in the car, jogging on the sidewalk or riding your bike on the street, or walking around the grocery store. You don't have to shut yourself out anymore. If you want to talk to someone, just turn the volume down while leaving the headphones on. Great stuff!
- I use these headphones for both my tai chi outdoors and my workouts at the gym with a personal training group/ For Tai Chi - it is great to hear both my music and nature around. At the club - it is great to both hear my music and the direction of the trainer.
I love the ability to increase or decrease the volume from the mini lever which hangs around my chest - and I have never had the earphones get loose during any workouts.
Highly recommended

- I purchased these because I cannot wear the earphones that usually come with ipod or MP3 products. They hurt my ears and are so uncomfortable I'm miserable. These work just great for me. The sound is good and the fit is too. I love this color and even better it is less expensive that if I bought them in black. Extra benefit!!!
- These headphones are quite nice, quite nice indeed. First off, their appearance is great. They're so spiffy! Secondly, the produce a clear sound, allowing you to listen to your music in a whole new way. And thirdly, they block out any outside noise that may be trying to ruin your music session.
If you're not a serious music listener, however, I wouldn't recommend these bad boys for you. They're a bit expensive, but deliver a solid performance. And also, if you become disappointed that they break, you must realize that nothing lasts forever. Sorry to burst your bubble.
But yay for V-MODA! Great products.
- I was enough impressed about these earbuds that I bought another set for a friend. I know some people cannot stand the feel of an in-ear earphone, but, if you can, this product will certainly please you. It comes with three sets of seals - small, medium, and large - and with the correct seal, the sound response is amazing (there IS bass lurking in your iPod!) whether you are programming in front of a computer in a noisy office or just flying in an MD-80. Here is what I compare these to: the original Apple on-ear set never sat on my ear properly and never gave me the bass response I wanted; Panasonic on-ear headphones with noise cancelation at close to the same price (which seem almost as good as the much more expensive BOSE QC-3 but much better than my old cheaper noise-canceling SONY's) get rid of more noise and give a little better bass than these but will not fit in your shirt pocket next to your iPod. I never did try the $300 to $400 sets, and I don't think I need to.
- After many years of listening to music, I finally found a pair of ear buds that sound fabulous, fit in my ear and drowned out the noise around me. I have 4 pairs of the vibes now, all which sound, look and feel tremendous. I absolulty love these ear buds. I highly recommend buying a pair.
- Assuming they are functional, these headphones probably have the best sound quality at its price point.
However, the right earphone shorted out a little over a year after moderate use. The wire near the headphone jack had become loose. V-MODA does NOT have a repair service at this time (I called).

- Awesome sound but a little big for my ears.In order to get the sound you need to cram them ,ouch, into your ears. I do like these though. I use them when I fly in my ultralight airplane and need the sound isolation.
- The Ultimate Ears deliver as promised. Good sound for the price, and not uncomfortable in the ear. One suggestion I could make would be the "quality" of the cord. It feels really plastic-y and is reluctant to "lay flat" in all but the hottest conditions. This means that when you pull your phones from the gym bag or your pocket, you have to spend a couple of minutes "working" the kinks out. On a price-value basis, I'm glad I bought 'em.
- What a great review by N. Pardo. I couldn't agree with him more. These in ear monitors are the best you can buy anywhere near this price. The detail is incredible, but the overall sound is very smooth. The frequency response is very flat, leading some people to feel they are short on bass. This is not the case. The bass is all there, it's just not bumped up to unreal levels. They lay out a huge soundstage and you almost forget you are listening to ear buds at all. What is on the cd is what you will hear. Female voice is especially wonderful. All vocals have a you are there reality to them that I have rarely heard from headphones at any price. As you can tell, I am very excited about Ultimate Ears Super.Fi3 Studios. If you are familiar with what music is suppose to sound like I think you will be excited too!
- I purchased Ultimate Ears Super.fi 3 Studio Earphones after my Bose In-Ear headphones shorted out at the plugs. I figured, for the money, if the Super.fi's ever shorted out, they have user replaceable cables that you can order from their site for $20. I didn't expect the sound from these earphones to be the quality of the old-fashioned over-the-ear headphones. I purchased the Super.fi 3s because I listen to mostly Jazz and audiobooks. The quality of the sound is just something you'd have to experience yourself. They harken me back to the first childhood memory I have of putting on the HUGE over-the-ear headphones my brother-in-law had and the awe and simplicity of being wrapped in sound. I would recommend these headphones for anyone who is fed up with cheaply made phones that just don't stand up to real-world commuting and for irredeemable audiophiles. They work great when wearing glasses or goggles, too, so don't let the around the ear bit scare you. The wire is bendy up by the ear. If I had $600 to spend, I'd buy the custom Ultimate Ears but, the C.E.O.s are the only ones making enough money to pay back their student loans AND have a life.
- When I first got these, I thought the sound was better than my default Ipod earphones, but the sound to me was still muffled. I used them mostly when I worked out and often times the seal would detach from my skin and the plug would fall out, even looped over my ears. Still they worked ok so I kept them.
This week they completely stopped working and I purchased these earphones on February 20, 2008! They no longer transmit volume from my Ipod and lasted a whopping six months. Don't waste your money. Read reviews from people who had have the product for a while before spending $ on electronic gadget or accessories.
