  1. I purchased these a few months ago waiting for my next music project.When I finally got a chance to take them out the box and accuatully use them I found out how horrible they really are. After 10 minuets of use, the bass blew out and they were distorted big time, then when I wanted to turn off the stereo feature and go into mono mode is didn`t even work. To make matters worse, when I had to mix on my dj equipment the left side of the headphone went out. What a piece of junk. For my money Im going back to the Sony MDR-V700 so much better.

  1. These phones are comfortable and are a noticeable improvement in both bass response and instrument clarity over the similarly priced SONY phones that they replaced. Could they be better? Sure! They could also cost several times more.

    I use them at my desk to listen to CD's and MP3's on my PC while I work.

    My only complaint is that the cord is very close to being too short for this particular use.

  2. I bought a pair of these headphones for my 11 year old at a closeout chain store for $7.99 to use with her 4G Nano. I assummed they were suitable for her age group and the Jensen folk who were a great speaker producer about 30 years ago are now held in low esteem. On a whim, I asked my daughter if I could listen to them with her Nano a few months after they were purchased. I was stunned to say the least!!! Hoping they were not a pair that were a freak of some factory accident or horror/science fiction cosmic lightning strike or irradiated spiderbite, I went back to the store and bought the remaining four pair. To make sure it was not a delusion, I gave a pair of the phones to a close friend who has lived with headphones on for the past 30 years at home and on the go. His reaction was the same. Amazing! We both own and love the Sony MDR-V6 Studio Monitor headphones which, for the money, were the best phones Sony ever produced. These Jensen phones are lightweight marvels and a very close second! Jensen really stepped in something this time. Buy them quickly, if you can find them, before the next cosmic jolt at their factory in China..........

  3. I ordered these based on amazon reviews, however, I am disappointed with the sound quality. Where are the highs? Sort of a muffled, muddy sound is all I get. They are not as good as the Phillips $20. behind-the-head model that I already have. I am going to see if I can take out some foam inserts or something to improve things. They are comfortable to wear, though.

  1. Comfort is okay, but the audio is terrible. Even if I have my pc audio options maxed out, along with the volume control on the headphones, the sound is still very low. .

  2. I bought a Walkman recently which I'm happy with, however, I hated the headhpones that came with it (they hurt my ears, gave me a headache, and did not stay in place while jogging). I ordered these and I am so happy with them. They sound better than what came with the cassette player and are sooooooooo comfortable that I almost forget I'm wearing them (they stay in place while exercising). At this price you can't go wrong. I'm getting a second pair.

  3. I like them, the fit pretty well, sound quality is very good, though I would expect higher from Altec Lansing. Still by far the best in it's price range.

    I wouldn't recommend it for production A/V use, but for online gaming, online talk features in IM software, as well as just a regular set of headphones, it's a good product.

  4. I'm going to be brief. For the cost, they're okay headphones at first. The "headband" is a little irritating at first, but you can grow to ignore it. The volume control is a nice feature for quickly turning down the music when a coworker complains. However, the problem lies in it's durability. After approximately 3 months, the volume control casing split in two, exposing the small board and wires inside. Promptly giving it a quick fix (super glue), it worked fine again. Another month or so after that, the wires on the inside of the cable started to split, causing nasty scratches in the music that continued to get worse, and worse, and worse. Now, this was in an office environment, not getting bumped around while jogging, flung around by kids, or getting eaten by the dog. Normal wear and tear.

    I would buy these again if my other option was sticking my arm in a woodchipper, but that's about it.

  5. I love these headphones, they're amazing for only $10 and the volume control is really handy.

  1. I really like these headphones. Initially my Senheisers sounded better but as I listened to both headphones more over several weeks I came to like the Ultrasone headphones better. The sound did not seem as colored and the nuances more natural. I rarely listen to my Senheiser headphones and in fact have lent them to my brother and have not bothered asking for them back. I like these cans and think you will too over time.

  2. The sound through these is incredibly brilliant and revealing....I love it, but some people don't. They're pretty comfortable to wear for extended listening.
    My one problem with these is they're made almost entirely of plastic, including the supports that connect the driver housings/earpieces with the headband, and the "ball joints" and sockets with which the supports and ear pieces swivel.
    Does NOT inspire confidence regarding durability and ruggedness.
    It gives these 'phones an air of cheapness....like something made in China to retail for $29.95 instead of $399.95. They're made in Europe, though. The fit of the plastic parts is fine, but plastic is plastic....not worthy material for a high end 'phone. Some plastic is ok in a quality 'phone but not virtually ALL plastic like these.
    Still, the sound is breathtaking. The S-Logic approach is unique...and works really well.

  3. If you are looking for a pair of headphones that you can wear while you are running accompanied by the music coming from your MP3 player, the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones are definitely not for you. However, if you really care about your music and sometimes listen to music attentively while doing nothing else, then the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones are most definitely the right choice for you.
    I have come to realize the opinions (especially among audio professionals) about such things as microphones, speaker systems and headphones vary tremendously. I think anyone who has actually heard the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones and then writes a review expressing their supposed dislike for the sound of these headphones, belongs in one of these three categories:
    1. They are lying for some reason such as they own, are employed by and/or have stock in a competitor headphone company;
    2. There is something wrong with their hearing;
    3. They are insane.
    In my opinion, the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones are absolutely the best, most accurate sounding headphones I've ever heard. You may be asking yourself which other headphones I'm using as comparison to the Proline 750's. The answer to that question is all of the best of the "top of the line" brands. I could name them but I think you understand the caliber of headphones to which I'm referring. While all of these companies manufacture excellent sounding headphones, none of them (I will repeat that) NONE OF THEM MANUFACTURE A HEADPHONE THAT SOUNDS AS GOOD AS THE ULTRASONE PROLINE 750 HEADPHONE, in my opinion.
    The overall sound of the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones is like none other you've heard before. The sound is more true to life. The sound is more like listening to an extremely high quality speaker system while one is positioned exactly in the perfect "sweet spot" of the speakers.
    I will attempt to illustrate and exemplify the sound of the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones by telling you that right now I'm listening to a recording by the late, great singer, Ella Fitzgerald using the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones. As I listen and analyze the "sound stage" of this recording as it is playing through Proline 750's, Ella's voice is in the middle somewhat in front of my head at my forehead and going somewhat "into" the front of my head, the piano is playing just outside of my right ear, the tromones and saxes are outside of my head surrounding my left ear, the trumpets are outside of my head, above and to the front of my right ear, the bass is outside of my head mostly behind the back of my head and to the left, the string section (except for the cellos) is outside and up from my left ear, the cellos are mostly behind the back of my head, the drum is outside of my head and above my left ear and the guitar is outside of my head, above and to the back of my right ear.
    Reading a description of what it's like listening to the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones if you've never had this experience is probably something like reading about swimming if your only experience with water has been drinking it. You have to hear the beautiful sound of these headphones to truly appreciate them.
    Like all high quality headphones, the Ultrasone Proline 750's require a "burn in" time to bring their sound to it's fullest potential. I am uncertain exactly how long is that "burn in" time. But, I will say that the more I listen to mine, the more I like their sound and I liked their sound a great deal the first time I used them direct from the box.
    Since I mentioned "the box", I will tell you that judging from the way the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones are packaged, one can discern that the Ultrasone company is one that truly cares about it's products and it's packaging. You will understand what I mean by this when you see the packaging.
    Another way one can discern this caring by the Ultrasone company is from the construction of the headphones, themselves. Their construction is very sturdy and durable. Another reviewer indicated that because the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones are made of plastic, they appear "cheap" in his opinion. First, I disagree generally that they appear "cheap" in any way. In my opinion, they appear as being quite professional. Second, I disagree that because they are made from plastic that (in and of itself) in some way causes them to be tawdry or "cheap" appearing or in physical actuality. Remember, there are different grades of plastic and the plastic utilized in the manufacture of the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones appears to be a very rugged, dense plastic that will last for many years. The plastic in these headphones causes them to be light and comfortable to wear, certainly every bit as comfortable as any other headphone I've ever worn and indeed, probably more comfortable than any other headphone I've ever worn.
    I give my highest recommendation to you regarding the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones. All things considered, they are magnificent in every way.
