  1. Very comfortable fit and easy set up. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the maximum volume is not what I expected. There seems to be a limit on it, even with my receiver amp turned up. My previous Jensen wireless headphones allowed more volume until, of course, it became distorted. That was always the clue to turn them down a bit.

  2. The headset had a lot noise in them and unless you were directly in front of the set it was hard to hear. I may of gotten a bad set. I know the rca set I have a sony set a friend has are both as clear as a bell you don't have the interference at all.

  1. I'm sitting in my Hotel in the Ukraine writing this after having just flown here from New York, via Vienna. I ordered these through a seller at amazon from ace digital club. They did not arrive before my trip even though I paid extra for expedited shipping. That was probably a good things as it forced me to look elsewhere. I found them at a local store. Actually these are the newer NC-22's, so they may perform better than the 11's, but I loved these headphones. There was a crying baby about two rows from me and with the NC on , the crying was barely noticable. Howl of the plane noice went totally away. It was a completely new air travel experience for me. I would recommend these babies to anyone going on a long flight, but get the NC-22's to be on the safe side and I would not recommend Ace Digital Club.

  2. I bought these at full retail price ($99.99) in February 2007. They worked well for a little over three months, and then all of a sudden, from normal everyday use, the left earbud just stopped working. UGH!

The noise cancellation worked well enough, particularly during my daily NYC subway commute. However, it was too easy to get the cords tangled. Plus, the triangular on-off switch/clip-on was at an awkward length for use with an iPod, on a treadmill or elliptical machine. (Also, it was easy to forget that noise cancellation was on, so I would wear down the battery frequently. It should have an auto shut-off feature.)

In short, it does what it's supposed to do, but for the price, it should last a good couple of years. I do NOT recommend this product. Do a search for "earbuds" or "headphones" here on Amazon, sort by "Bestselling," and choose something else.

  3. I purchased these headphones when I was writing my senior thesis in college to block out all distractions. The sound quality was great, and the noise cancelation is quite impressive. This is the only pair of noise-canceling headphones I have ever used, so I don't have anything to compare them to, but they seemed to do a great job cutting down on ambient noise. No complaints there.

However, after about 4 months of steady use, the speaker in the left ear stopped working. If I fiddled with the wire a little bit the sound would come in and out, suggesting that a wire had come loose from the speaker.

From reading other reviews, this appears to be a common problem, and until Sony addresses the issue, I would stay away from these headphones. I suppose you sacrifice some durability for the small size, which is too bad. It is important for me to note that I am an incredibly loyal Sony customer, but can't endorse a product that can't stand up to under a year of normal use.

  4. The rubber ear bud covers tend to fall off and I haven't been able to replace them. If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy over the ear noise canceling head phones.

  5. I love these head phones. It's the best sound I have ever gotten from headphones and they are so comfortable.

  1. These ear buds sound great and are fairly comfortable, however, they are designed with a tiny main cord (fine if using an armband case) and an extension cord. The connectors of the main and extension cords are made of metal which makes the weight of the cord very heavy, this limits their use for exercise. For casual listening at home, work, or on a plane they're great, avoid running with them.

  1. wow what a bad purchase this was. They are as non functional as they are hideous, and they are hideous. The sound quality was good, but anyone within earshot (which doesn't have to be far) can hear nearly at the same volume as the wearer. I returned these immediately and bought a pair of Bose, which I'm extremely happy with.

    Stay away.

  2. I've used many ear phones that caused significant ear ache/pain. These have great sound and are rare in that they have a very low radiation emission. Ultrasone actaully has performed scientific studies demonstrating reduced radiation.

  3. I'd love to give these a five star rating on the design alone. They bling like no other headphones, however it doesn't stop there. Like the other Ultrasone's I have they are beautifully presented, but the iCans have a wow factor of their own.

The only downside is the midrange, which is recessed. The treble is very domineering, but the midrange sounds out of sync with the rest of the frequency range.

Even with that said, it doesn't make me love them any less, and I'm glad I have them, but I wouldn't expect anyone else to feel the same as I do.

These are only for those who really want the bling factor, or hardened Ultrasone fans. I fall into the latter.

  4. I am amazed at the detail that these cans pick up. I can hear Glenn Gould humming to himself while he's playing the Goldberg Variations by Bach. They are also very comfortable to wear and collapsible, too. Also, your price of $69.99 was a real bargain. These cans usually sell for $129.99. The iCans are the best ones for the price.

  5. From the description on Amazon....Sleek design offers contemporary styling, amazing comfort (if you like tight head squeezing fit) and security
Completely adjustable,( what adjustability, fits in the top of my ear not the center and their is no adjustment) these headphones fit snug on your head and have hinged arms that fold for safe transportation in stylish metal case. They do look good, but if you want to return them it will cost you shipping PLUS 15% restocking fee from the seller,DataVision Computer Video

Not quite worth the price to return them if you're going to lose $15 or more for headphone that are just average, but "they do look good".

Sound quality is no better than my JVC 10 year old stereo headset. You can't move the top headband anywhere, because it is a solid piece of plastic with heavy tension to spring back in place.

I guess the i cans come in a can because thats where they will spend most of their time.

1 comments about Audiology Extreme Bass Vibration Headphones.
  1. I got these for a Christmas present. One important thing to state right away. These substitute vibration for bass. The bass you usually hear which is about 20 to 100 hertz is missing from these headphones. When you get a heavy bass hit, say from a bass drum, thunder, or an explosion, these will vibrate. I listened to two concerts, then to a couple of movies. I really don't recommend these for music. There is an obvious lack of real bass. One way to increase the bass effect is to slide them about half way back off your ears. While watching Fantastic Four, however, the action sequences were entertaining. These were made for thunder, explosions, and ground shakers. They will definitely add to your action movies. I've also heard that they add to action video games. They only way I'd say they'd be good for music is if you could play the music through some large speakers for bass, then wear the headphones in addition to the speakers pumping out some serious bass. If Sennheiser or Koss could add this vibration to their already great sounding headphones, they'd have a billion dollar seller. I bought these for my MP3 player, but I think I'll stay with my mid-level Koss headphones.
