- Comfortability - 8
Sound Quality - 9
If you want the bigger, over-the-head style, headphones and don't want to pay a lot of money, these are perfect. I got them for $20 at BestBuy, so you know you'll find a similar price at most stores.
- I purchased these at Best Buy for about $40 and assumed I was getting a decent quality pair of headphones - I wasn't expecting high-end sound quality. What I have is a pair of full size headphone that sound worse than the earbuds that came with my MP3 player. The base response is very poor which makes, say, a piano concerto sound tinkly. Not only that but it sounds like the high end is distorted and instead of CD quality it sounds like an FM radio.
I even tried them on my comuputer speaker's headphone jack and still found the results disappointing. I'm not an audiophile but I could readily tell that these headphones aren't very good.
I don't recommend them.
- Bought these headphones for use as with a guitar amplifier and they sound better than expected.
The low price makes them well suited for use as studio monitor headphones, if the guitarist breaks them you aren't out 200 dollars.
Wouldn't recommend them for professional DJ's or vocalists, but for mono instruments they work very well.
- I wouldn't recommend these headphones to anyone. I've gone through two pair of these and both crapped out on me. The first pair, one of the wires shorted out on the left side of the headphones in about a week after I had them. I thought I just had a bad pair, and went and purchased an new pair (I get these for about 7 bucks with my connections *wink wink*, so it was no big deal for me). On my second pair, which lasted about two weeks longer, one of the headphones is shorting out again, and this time the speaker on the left side fell off (the back part is still on there, but the speaker is being held by some red and green wires from the rest of the headphones). Keep in mind I've been very careful with them (not allowing the wires to be caught in anything, not tugging the wires real hard). The speaker still works though, but it just looks like trash now. I really cannot recommend these headphones, unless you just need a pair. The compnay that sells these generic in-store brand (names are witheld to protect the "innocent"), needs to let Dynex know that they need to make some better headphones to accompany the listener. I like the fact that it folds inward so you can place in a bag for travel, but thats all that it's good for. So far, Sony headphones have been on point so far, so I may stick with those (may give Phillips another try though), but avoid these (unless you can get these for less than 3 bucks). Trust me, they don't last long.
Also, has anyone had a problem with volume control buttons falling off from the control part on the cord? I have on both headphones (once the volume and the other the stereo/mono selection button). I really don't have a problem with that, but that is just an example of how durable these things are. Peace.
- I bought a pair of Philips behind the neck headphones and I had to trade them in. These were the only other pair they had that weren't the in the ear kind. I figured for $20 I'd get a decent pair but when I put them on they sounded horrible. There is pretty much no bass response so everything sounds like it's coming through a broken pair of speakers. I've only had them for like 10 minutes and I'm going to trade them in and hope I can get something better.

- I have to say, these do what they say they will. They even work with Gamecube. The only draw back that I can see at the moment is that they are only one size-not adjustable at all. They fit the head of a child fine, but not the head of an adult. One other nice thing is that you can use two head sets with one transmitter so your kids can both play using their headsets at the same time. I also like the fact that you can adjust the volume on the individual headset. I bought mine on an online auction site for a fraction of the original cost...I would not say they are worth more than 30.00 a set though.

- works well, I like it. sound quality is good if your transmitter signal is high enough. If the volume is too low on the transmitter the headset cannot compensate. I think this is a generic issue and is often what other reviewers of competing products are complaining about when they talk of static and the like.
The nice feature of these headphones is that they can handle many (7?) devices. You can switch between them at will.
The UI for doing that and for pairing is somewhat confusing but the documentation is okay and you do get the hang of it.
I love the earbud feel, though I hated the earpiece covers. They were too soft to stay in my ear -- kept falling out. I replaced them with a set from an older pair of earbuds and am happy now.
- First the good - the sound quality is not bad, the range is good, it blocks outside noise well and it is LOUD. I also tried, and I am also sending back, a Jabra BT8040 for not being loud enough to hear when I am on the street and a bus goes by. Not a problem with this item. One could easily get it too loud.
Now the bad -
The dongle is huge! Probably twice the size of an ipod shuffle.
It does not clip onto your clothes very easily and there is an annoying super bright blue LED that flashes all the time.
The cords are too short to put the dongle into your pocket or otherwise get it out of the way, it is designed to clip on your collar-- Where it is big, heavy and flashing blue all the time! Yikes!
The controls are not easy to use by touch. It is just not well thought out. It's going back.
If you want to listen to music when you work out,a small mp3 player would be more convenient than this.
