  1. I love these headphones! I have loved each of the six -- yes, six!! -- pair I've had. I love them so much that every time they quit working, I go back for more.

As a previous reviewer noted, sweat seems to ruin these headphones -- easily. I use them on the treadmill, and each pair has lasted somewhere between six weeks and six months.

If you're buying these for non-workout purposes, I very highly recommend them. If you plan on doing some sweating, either go ahead and buy several pair or keep shopping.

  2. My first pair came with a Nike/Phillips mp3 player. They fit very well for running, and I haven't found a pair yet, that fits as well. I had problems with loosing the rubber ear-bud covers and problems with the headphones breaking.

  3. These things stink. I never really had an issue with earphone irritation till I purchased these. They are not quite in or out of the ear. Do not be fooled by the sleek look. I would rather wear my no-name earphones than this piece.

  4. These headphones were great for the first 5 weeks -- lightweight, unobtrusive, and decent sound. Then the left sound cut out. Snip. In the middle of a tedious 10miler on the treadmill. That particular workout turned hellishly boring real quick!

I dunno if the sweat from running did 'em in, but considering that the product bills itself as a "Sport" headphone, pretty disappointed at the durability.

Going with the Sennheiser PMX70 instead..hope these new ones last.

  5. There are many other reviews about how poor the construction on these are, how uncomfortable they are, and how they do not handle workouts well. So I'll just list the pros and cons from my experience.
    Pros
    - lightweight
    - inexpensive
    - black? don't know if this counts but I was fishing for another pro, why not color, there isn't much else
    Cons
    - Turn your head right or left and they exert unpleasant pressure on your ear.
    - When you do turn your head, they brush against your neck or shirt, and the scratching sound transfers directly into your ear, not that bad but distracting.
    - Can't really use them at the gym because of the behind the neck design. When your back is against any seat, bench, equipment, they are forced out of your ears.
-For similar reasons with the uncomfortable design and scratching against clothing, running with them is ok, they stay in better than your standard Ipod freebie ear buds but nowhere near as well as other ear bud designs.
    Neutral
-Sound is ok, I had to adjust my Ipod sound settings for some time because the bass sounds hollow. Other than that they sound good.

I have a second pair of HJ030's and I like those. They suffer from poor handling of sweat and the sound is ok but they are very comfortable for me and even though I am on my second pair and I expect in the future even more replacements...I'll keep getting them for a while because of the adjustable over-the-ear arm and they work for what I want them for..gym workouts and running.

  1. I've purchased this product from a local store and I think it's pretty cool. I like the rechargable headset. The downside.. The transmitting unit runs on a 9V battery OR a A/C power supply (SOLD SEPARATELY). The Sentry company doesn't even give you a chance to order the A/C power supply or even give you a location where you can order one. It would have been nice if the headphone battery charger would double as the transmitter unit power source when not charging the headphones.

  2. I bought these headphones recently and am disappointed. The headphones themselves aren't adjustable. Would've been nice to know that. They are uncomfortable and don't fit properly. Also, while I was using it with my laptop, the sound kept switching between the headphones and my speakers. I double checked all my connections and they were good. I'm returning the product.

  3. Well, I put in the 9V battery on the transmitter and the door won't fit on correctly -- haven't tried a hammer!! First defect. I hooked it up to the TV in my bedroom according to the chart and do get sound -- but also a lot of noise which was bothersome and made them impossible to use. I wasted my money!

  1. These are the most incredible headphones I have owned (two pairs of Shures, Phillips, Sony, Skullcandy). Incredible sound at low volumes - classical and punk alike sounded awesome. The only drawback - very hard to fit. The "speaker" is quite large and the rubber earpieces are very thin - makes for a hard and somewhat uncomfortable fit, BUT these headphones ROCK.

  1. I ordered this product from Amazon, I thought, but it was actually antonline.

First of all, the product has no resemblance to the product photo, other than it was apparently modeled roughly on human anatomy.

Secondly, the product is sold without a transmitter, which is fine if you happen to have a drawer full of Ir transmitters in your kitchen. That would have been nice to know in the product description since the only thing in my kitchen is half a box of Kix and mummified ketchup. No Ir transmitters though.

Thirdly, antonline will jack you for a 15% restocking fee plus shipping, so I got hosed for $10.27 for nasty headphones that A) don't work, and B) are so ugly that your Aunt Bunny wouldn't be caught dead wearing them.

My advice for this type of product is to shop around locally. I found the best prices at Radio Shack.

  2. I have a PYLE DVD player installed in my truck and thought the PYLD headphones would work just fine. I contacted PYLE and they recommened these headphones.

These headphone did not work as expected. The audio quality was poor and the IR was subpar at best.

I would not recommend these for anyone.

  1. These headphones lack clarity, no effective range really. I was not satisfied with the vendor either, and they are sitting in the box they came in.

  2. I can't complain too much about the headset not being stereo (what's the deal with the "L" and "R" on the earcups and the two-wire leads?) when you realize I only spent $15 on it. It was a bit deceiving, I think. The headset is one of the more comfortable ones around, besides being wireless. I connect it to my stereo which is connected to my satellite dish so I watch TV with them, not annoying my neighbors. I've even purchased extra sets to give as gifts to friends.

  3. Fast delivery great seller, product wasn't the headset I wanted I had made a mistake on my choice, but the seller refunded right away. I will do business with this seller again in the future. Very professional. Thank you
    Cynthia

  4. This is a good product for the price, AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A FRESH 9V IN THE TRANSMITTER. It does not come with batteries- I will bet that those reviewers who complain of static "out of the box" scrounged a partly-used battery from something else. The transmitter devours 9v's quickly, and as the battery drains the headphones start to buzz and static. With a fresh battery, they are perfect- my TV is upstairs, and I can go downstairs and fix a sandwich and still hear perfectly. But, the transmitter really needs an ac adapter.

Also, on a TV with multiple sound outputs, it will only work for the output you attach it to.

  5. I bought 2 pr of H1000 headphones. Didn't buy from here and am returning tomorrow, but I will post this review everywhere I can. I have never had such a poor customer service experience in my life. When I get great service, I overtip, or talk the manager and tell him how pleasant my experience was with the CS rep, etc. A lot of people work in retail and customer service. Some bad, some good. I get that. But you can't only gripe about the bad. I balance it both ways. I walk away feeling good and so does the CS rep, and the manager.

2-3 emails at most and here is the last from a "VP" in the company. I mean obviously she better grow a tougher hide if she can't take a bit of heat, but good grief. Read below. Opinions welcomed.

Please do not contact our company any further. If you are unsatisfied with a product, return it. But do not contact us. Based on the below email the help you require is not within our realm of expertise.

Okay, thanks James! Great, yet utterly useless info. Like mastercard, your response is priceless! If you remember correctly, my first email said, "I am tech savvy" and then I gave detailed, precise 123 descrip of what I had done as product instructions, to show I was no idiot. YOUR REPSONSE, to quote: You can only use one transmitter per household.

Cutting a bunch of useless info but I guess this got them whacked:

I have been PC savvy for 23 years, pre-windows. I was probably using computers before you were out of diapers. Cut me a break. Men and tech. Unreal.

Anyway, all done, anytime I see Sentry, I will come back here, cut and paste this review.

Okay, off to find a decent pair of wireless headphones that actually work.
