  1. Extremely stylish, pure sound, and very comfortable. They have a cloth-wrap chord with an included matching extension, and they come with a storage case.

The headphones are made of a brushed aluminum. Smaller than they look in the picture, not heavy. The earpiece pops out so you can put them on easier, and they can be extended an extra half a centimeter for even more comfort. The wire on the outside is rarely noticeable. Might take a little getting used to, since the design is so different, but once you find the sweet spot, these headphones are great. Definitely good for your money.

  2. These are great headphones, especially for the price of $50. I was looking for a high audio quality clip on which is comfortable and wont fall off while I am skiing- That is what I got! I use them for everything and I really like the swing-click mechanism in the hangers. If you see someone you want to talk to say on campus, you can slick them open and they stay on your ears but the speeker swings away from your ear. Mostly this feture is for ease of taking on and off, but it works well in this mannor too. On top of that, these headphones have a great ability to let you hear outside noises if you listen to your music a little quieter, yet the sound is still very clear.

Let me clearify something about the sound quality on these bad boys. The sound quality throughout the highs (treble), the mids, and the lows (bass) is very very clear, crisp, clean and defined. Even on the lows. When people say they do not thump this is true. But the lows are still high quality. With my ipod on bass enhancer, they are great. I mostly listen to Underground Hip-Hop and alternative indi rock/punk/ska. They are good for hip hop. they are not going to thump like your car subwoofer, but I challenge you to find a headphone that does not have a band that goes over your head like bigger heavier headphones do, With thumping bass and as good all around sound quality. I have heard instrumental parts in songs I have never heard before with these babies. They handle volume very well, not destorting in the least.

They are asl very comfortable for clip ons. they might take some adjusting and getting used to, but once you get it down, you may find yourself forgetting your wearing headphones.

    Conclusion:

great sound quality throughout the spectrum, but not hard heavy thumping bass, if thats what you want, get a bigger non-audio technica headphone. That being said, they are great for any type of music, and I enjoy listening to Hip Hop on them.

Comfortable and convenient. They look kinda funny to other people. My friend started calling me marvin the mashin. Other people have complimented me on how they look. good strong build quality. great for skiing/snowboarding and walking around campus/commuting. highly recomended, espeically if you dont like ear buds and want something smaller then the traditional head band headphones. probably the best clip on headphones period.

  3. The title basically covers it. It offers a great range of sound with depth and clarity while being in the $50 range.

The clip-on function is a bit difficult to work with at first but once you find the adjustment that's right for you, it'll feel like you've got nothing on.

Highly recommended for people looking for a mid price range, high quality headphones.

  4. there is only one negetive thing about these headphones, and that is the bass. it is pretty weak, however what i was most concerned with is not a problem. they are comfortable, my first pair of clip ons, and i have pretty big airs. they fit good, buy them.

  5. ..but TOO crisp sounding? The treble seems to be set terribly high, you will need to fiddle with your EQ or plain turn down the volume when the track goes into screaming vocals.

Other than that, GREAT sound and it looks sweet. Oh, and is less silverish and more greyish than the posted picture (so its a bit darker)

  1. This is for the 990 headphones (I don't know why the reviews are for different series below). I recently got these and broke them in with 100+ hours of loud pink noise so they should sound as they're "going to" at this point. The construction is good and they are very comfortable around the ear. The headband could use a lil more padding perhaps, but no biggie.

Now before I go into how they sound, I'll let you know where I'm coming from. This is my first pair of "real" headphones besides the cheap $20-30 sport kind, and I didn't audition any other brands before buying these, so this isn't really good for a headphone comparison. I do have very very very good speakers in my car (Dynaudio running off a McIntosh amp; JL Audio sub running off Phoenix Gold amp) and good tower speakers at home (Saturn - same company that makes Earthquake subwoofers - running off a NAD stereo amp). I'm running these headphones off the NAD amp.

After the pink noise break-in, I tried out various tracks - mainly trance, rock, and hip-hop. Generally, these sound very good and I'm happy with my purchase. I can hear a lot of the high frequency detail I get from my Dynaudios and good high clarity (ex. a complex Radiohead track). There is a good amount of bass and vocals sound very nice.

However, there does seem to be a slight bit of muddling in the mid range when there's a lot going on (vocals sometimes less sharp/clear when a lot of other sounds are going on. I'd prefer a little more clarity overall. The low end is there, but might overshadow the mids at times. The lows are good, but they don't really "hit" like I'd really like. Some Jay-Z tracks that go way low and slam don't really do it with these headphones. That low low thump is there, but sounds distant. The low end does a better job with the more standing bass wave like from a bass guitar or synthesized.

As I said, I'm comparing these to a top end system so in a ways I'd be a little dissapointed if they DID sound as good as my car after all I put in it! That being said, all-in-all, I think they really do sound good and are very comfortable to wear. They play a lot of detail and 99% of the people buying these will think they're the best thing ever because it'll probably be the best they've heard. Plus, for the money (they were on Amazon discount over $100 off retail when I got these for $260) it's a great buy.

The Grado 325s were considered, but are supposed to kill your head after 30 min. Sennheiser's were considered.

  2. The DT 880 headphones are great. The sound is transparent and the treble is quite open. The sound stage does not feel congested at all. The bass can go deep and I think it might have a little too much bass. The mid range feels slightly recessed, but I managed to get use to after the first two or three hours of use. These headphones require quite a bit of juice before they reach their potential. I suggest matching these headphones with a dedicated quality headphone amp.

  3. I was recently in the market for a new set of headphones and my audition process was lengthy and borderline obsessive. The result was a pretty good picture of what's out there for a reasonable ($600 or less) price. After listening to Sennheisers, Grados, AKGs, Etymotics, and Beyer, I came to the conclusion that the Beyer DT770s are nearly perfect for recording, monitoring, and mixing. I didn't get a chance to demo the DT880s, which some people rank amongst the very finest transducers in the world, but I'm sure they're even better.

The AKG 240s are popular with the home studio/bedroom producer crowd (yeah, I too have a pair laying around) and since the 240s and DT770s are in the same general price range, I'll compare them most thoroughly. I've said this elsewhere, but my general feels are, Grados are best for low-power devices (e.g. iPods, Walkmans), Sennheisers are amongst the best for audiophilic listening, and Etymotics (and now Shures) are best for revealing every minute detail of a sound. Those opinions are based on owning and living with many pairs for a long time.

So, where do Beyers fit in? They're awesome for anyone who wants a sealed headphone for noise isolation. They don't reduce noise to the extent that a canalphone like the Etymotics will, but then again, some people prefer not to stick tiny audio transducers way into their ears. Plus, sharing is not a problem. The DT770s will provide reasonable isolation even in noisy environments. They're a great choice for monitoring with drums. As a percussionist, my problem was always finding a headphone that cut out enough of my playing so that I didn't have to blast my eardrums every time I played with a click track.

I tried the AKG 240s in these types of situations, but they fit substantially looser and a fair amount of noise leaks in. The fit is also a problem when you need to move. The Beyers firmly grip your head. There's not a lot of pressure, but at the same time, you can shake your head around and they won't move. They AKGs were always fatiguing after an hour or so, but the Beyers were so comfortable that I could all but forget I was wearing them.

Sonically, the Beyers are impressive. My AKGs always seemed light on bass. I'm not a bass fanatic, but when there is heavy bass, the headphones should translate it without scaling it back. The DT770s were appropriately punchy when it was called for, and subtle, but present the rest of the time. I never felt like the bass had a distinct roll off in the audible frequency range. With a lot of headphones, once you get below 60Hz, the bass power reduces noticeably, but not so much with the Beyers.

The midrange was quite smooth and blended seamlessly with the very precise highs. I wouldn't go so far as to call them crystalline, but they were very detailed and accurately reproduced the higher frequencies that get lopped off by lesser headphones. Overall, the sound was slightly more aggressive than with my Sennheiser HD600s. I think the HD600s are better if you just want to listen for pleasure, but when you're in the studio, you need something up-front and energized.

When I heard the DT770s, I was listening through a Digidesign interface, which had a dedicated headphone amplifier. This is critical, because without proper amplification, these headphones are perfectly capable of sounding dull and lifeless with anemic bass and little dynamic range. They're not going to work with your iPod unless you add a portable headphone amp. Similarly, they'll play reasonably loud out of your computer, but the precision and dynamic range won't be there. The DT770s are rated at 250 ohms making them sufficiently high to require more voltage than your portable devices can deliver. It's not like they'll make an ugly sound running directly out of your iPod - just that with extra power, they really become something special.

Overall, I highly recommend the DT770s to anyone looking to set up a home studio. They're analytical enough to reveal hidden details, but they still sound pleasing and won't fatigue your ears, even after long sessions. If you're wanting to listen directly from a portable device, the Grado SR60s will work much better. If you're wanting to listen for pleasure, I think the very high end Sennheisers are a little more musical. However, for all your recording/mixing/monitoring tasks, the Beyers are great. I highly recommend them

  4. clearest highs i've heard in a pair of cans; full sound with well-tuned bass (maybe not for hip-hop and electronica bass-lovers, though); SUPER comfortable; classic studio style.

however, be warned - works just alright straight out of an ipod or cd player, but can be a battery hog and really only does its best work when properly amplified, even with something as simple as a CMoy "Altoids-tin" op-amp - this really evens out the sound and make everything seems so much more present, and usually a little less dry, too.

  5. I am so pleased with these headphones. I haven't auditioned
the more expensive "audiophile class" headphones, but I doubt
my ears could detect the difference. But then again, these may
be as good as it gets, at least for the price. My primary genre
is classical music, and I'm trying to compose this review as I'm
listening to Brahm's 4th. Very difficult.

I'm sure what one hears depends in large part on the equipment up front. I'm listening through a thoroughly antique CD changer (SONY CDP-C50). Nevertheless, I'm just so happy with these cans!

5 comments about Skullcandy INK'D Earbuds - Silver.
  1. These earbuds like most other sound isolating earbuds I have tried can be annoying to wear if you are moving around a lot. Since the earbuds make a tight seal inside your ear, any movement in the cable will be conducted through to your ears. Therefore, I would not recommend these for wearing during a workout. This is not a fault of these earbuds alone but every pair that I have ever tried, so I will not knock these earbuds on that basis. That being said these are great earbuds, just don't buy them for jogging.

The sensitivity of these buds is much better than my standard iPod earbuds and several other aftermarket earbuds that I have tried (Panasonic, Altec Lansing, Phillips). I have probably tried 5 or so different sets of earbuds in the $20-$40 range over the last few years and after a little break-in time and finding the right size gel pad (3 sizes are included) to fit your ears these easily blow them all away. The bass, midrange and high end are all good. These really shine in the bass and low mids compared to most other earbuds and since they are so sensitive you can keep the volume lower and save battery life on your player. You will hear things that you have never heard before in your music, especially if you are using the standard issue buds.

Since there are 3 different gels to choose from as far as fit, these are also more comfortable for long listening sessions then other earbuds I have tried. They also offer good sound isolation, so these are great for work or in a moving vehicle.

They are light in your ears, light on your battery and light on your wallet while providing excellent sound. Give them a little break-in time and you will love them... I did.

  2. OK guys, heres a review from nobody... these things are proply beltaz!!! the sound quality is unparalelled by any other in ear headphones, i owned a pair of sony's way back when, they were 90 british pounds, uncomfortable and the bass was overwhelming. i have owned various pairs of cheaper in-ears and most of the time they were tinny and near unbearable to listen to on high volume. i have owned a few pairs of neckbands. . . sony and phillips, the phillips being the better of the two in the same price range, but both allowing far too much outside noise in, absolutely no good for public transport.
Alright, on to the SC's they get four stars because 4 and 3/4 isnt an option. the only beef i have is that i keep losing the smallest size earpiece(my fault but you cant just buy replacements, therefore i am on my third set [gona glue it this time.])
with these things in, you can listen to your music at half the volume of any neckband headphones and not hear a damn thing anyone is saying to you and they wont hear an annoying mosquito-ish noise.
the sound quality is something you would expect from a high dollar pair and although sound can travel through the cable during heavy movement, i barely notice it.
i would advise not to pay more than 12 dollars for them cos they are probably on sale at your nearest electronics store for the same, if not less. (last pair, sam goody $8)
Honestly... someone you know will probably have a pair, give em a try and you will be impressed.
hope this helps, i really cant sy enough good things about em.
    peace.

  3. These are definitely the best headphones I've ever owned hands and eyeballs down. After going through at least 20+ pairs of headphones in my personal audio experiences, from the expensive to the not so expensive, I am finally in audio heaven with these things. You don't even need to turn your player (I have a Sony NWZ-A728)anywhere near the max, I keep mine 4 notches from the Min., that's how much output these INK'D things are bangin out (100MW In your ears!) These are the only pair of headphones I've ever had that made my brain rattle, and I'm being serious my I felt my brain vibrating. For Real. And that's with the volume nowhere near high. Plus they fit your ear really snugly. The best thing to do is when you open them and put them in your ears for the first time, make sure you're in a loud place and then slide them in, you'll notice just how much background noise they cut out, which is a lot. BUY THEM NOW! $10 is pretty much robbery for these things.

  4. I have had 3 pairs of i-pod earbuds and they have broken down every time within 3 months ,of good care at low volume use. This spending spree has cost me $150 in total. So I decided to give these a try for $15.99. They are more compfortable than the i-pod earbuds(which felt like arock in my ear!).They are so soft that if their is no music playing i forget that their in my ear. Also these block outside sounds much better than i-pod ear buds(cost$50)!

    I highly suggest these:
    1. They cost under $20!
    2. They are great at blocking out outside noises ,so their is no need to crank up the volume!
    3. They look really cool!
    4. They are durable and will(with good care)last you a long time!

  5. I recently bought a pair of SkullCandy Ink'd Black headphones at Target for $16.99, quite a deal in my opinion. The night before I was considering buying SkullCandy Hesh headphones but I decided I would hold off another day and read some reviews on other SkullCandy headphones. The next day at school my friend and I were sitting in computer class, and I happened to mention to him that I was thinking about buying some SkullCandy headphones but I wasn't sure what kind. He pulled out a black pair of SkullCandy Ink'd headphones and told me they were great and he let me try them out. My first impression was, "this are earbuds they won't have the bass and noise isolation that bigger, cupped headphones would have", but I was ver wrong. I began to the play the song " Ready For Whatever" by T.I., a very bass heavy song, and without warning i began to feel thumping bass like I had never heard before even with normal-sized headphones. The next thing I noticed was that my friend was trying to talk to me, but I couldn't hear a thing he was saying, or anyone else for that matter. I was amazed such small earbuds could pack such a bass punch and isolate noise as well as these could. I asked him how much he paid and he said he got them for around $15 at Target. I was amazed at how cheap these were, but how good the sound quality was! Another friend of mine had a p[air of SkullCandy Hesh headphones and when I tried them on the bass was only a little more then on these 15$ headphones! I took off after school and went to my nearest Target and bought a pair for me and my friend, and I'm very impressed with the price and features it has. If there are any negetives on these earbuds its the fact that whenever you brush up against the cord it is very obvious in the headphones, but that is not a very big deal. They are comfortable, and the package comes with 3 different sizes of buds in case your ears are large or small. Overall I am very pleased with this product, and I will definatly spread the word on these SkullCandy headphones.

SOUND QUALITY: 9/10 (Bass is A+, Mids and Highs are A)

    PORTABILITY: 10/10

VALUE: 10/10 (At $15 these headphones are the steal of the year)

COMFORTABLE: 8/10 (Sometimes the earbuds come out, but this is rare)

DURABILITY: 8.5/10 (Earbuds are plastic, but they feel sturdy enough)

    OVERALL: 9/10

I would definatly buy these again if they ever broke, and SkullCandy offers a lifetime warrenty if they ever malfunction so that is even better. If you break them by accident SckullCandy will fix them for half the original price.

  1. DONT BUY THESE!!! Just as the previous reviewer stated, you can get these from Bose for free. I couldn't find it on their website, so I gave their sales department a call and they fixed me right up. Great job for Bose and their customer service, shame on whoever is selling these.

  2. Product: 5 stars (if it is the redesigned). But 1 star because you can get this item for free, so why selling it?

My husband bought the Bose In-Ear Headphones less than a year ago. Though he looooves the brilliant sound of the music, he had many troubles with the silicon tips, which fall too often. Since he is a daddy of a 2 y.o. that also loves music, you can imagine how soon he lost the silicon tips included in his purchase. He even considered to glue them, as my mother actually did (successfully, as she told me), but all his pairs were already unmatched. Looking for those on Amazon site I came across with a great advise from another reviewer who warned on not to buy the silicon tips, because on its website Bose was sending replacements for free. He did not include the link and it was not easy to find it, but I actually found it and he was right.

Bose acknowledged the poor design of these silicone tips, that's why they are correcting their mistake (if everyone do that...!). So, they do send a "Complete set of silicone ear tips (S, M and L)", well redesigned (apparently with a feature that impede the tips from falling) and by means of a free UPS 3 or 5-day delivery. Even provide a tracking number so you can trace the package. I must say that the items are well packaged.

You can also register for a free "Stability enhancement accessory", as I did. My husband is very happy with his new absolutely-free accessories, and enjoying the improved features of these little things. And so is my mom: I also ordered the two items for her as well. Bose's website says that they reserve the right to limit the quantities, but as far as I am concerned, I placed two orders without a problem, the two of them for both items.

    Here is the link:
    https://www.bose.com/controller?event=VIEW_HEADPHONE_SUPPORT_EVENT

However, if they change this link, try these words in their web search: "complimentary" or "replacement". They'll do the job.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THEM if you have already paid for this fine product. Just exercise your right to a proper consumer attention. Bose is great providing that.

  3. Wow. . . I lost an earbud the other day. Started searching and saw this bizarre (bordering on $20) price and was going to trash the headset.

Then I read about the BOSE program, 2 clicks and my complete new set was on the way.

    Amazing.

  4. I would give these a ZERO if I could. I love the sound quality, but the tips SUCK! They no longer offer replacement tips (mine disintegrated after 4 uses). They now charge $6.99. This is the 2nd Bose product I have purchased that fell apart after a few short uses. I bought the Tri-Port over the ear headphones, and they fell apart after less than a week of use. Beware of purchasing any Bose headphones. They obviously don't do any type of quality control before releasing a product.

  5. these are free from bose!!!!
do not buy them, go to a bose store or register your headphones and they will send you new ones regularly.

  1. The sound quality is actually really good even though its down around my chest i come through loud and clear. Its cable i think is a little too long but i like that it has attachments so it can hook to your headphones.

  2. This mic the perfect way to turn a set of highend headphones into a gaming headset. I use these with my senn 595's and the results are fantastic for online gaming; other players hear me loud and crystal clear while I get the advantage of stellar sound fidelity. One negative I've found is that this mic is next to useless with my x-fi xtreme gamer soundcard, so I use my onboard audio for this mic (yes, this can be done and everything works perfectly for me). Also, the clip size is fixed so it won't grab onto skinny headphone cords nor onto clothing, and extra long cord is a hassle but I can also see it being handy for some. Overall for price, IMO the value/performance can't be beat.

  1. I already had bad experience with Phillips in the past.
When i was at the store i didnt see any good options so i thought "it cant be that bad" even thou it is Philips.
Well, turns out it was worse then i expected.
They are somewhat uncomfortable even thou they fit me pretty well.
The worst thing about them is the sound it is very dull and bassy none of that crystal clear sound u get from even cheap sony earbuds.

I guess i go back to my $10 Sonys and my advice stay away from Philips, they have the worst sound quality i ever seen...i mean heard.

  2. I have been using these for an average of 6-8 hours a day for over 2 years now. I've gone through about 5 units in that time. The sound quality is above average but I find them very comfortable. The driver is also very efficient and I use them in a high noise evvirorment where I also need an ability to hear what is going on around me and these fit the bill perfectly. My only complaint is that the cord shorts out at the jack too quickly but I am rather abusive to them.

  3. My headphones came in a very timely fashion. The headphones were in new condition. The headphones virtual surround sound........sounds very good.......the best in ear headphones I've had so far. They produce very clear and deep bass. Also the volume is very loud. They come at a very low price.....I prefer the buyer and headphones for any and every1.

  4. I really like these headphones when a: they stay in my ear and b: they are fully functional. First, the cables for each ear are different lengths which is the weirdest thing...I know its so you can wrap it around your neck but who actually does that? If they were going to do that they should have made it so you can adjust the length. Secondly, they do tend to fall out of my ears a lot...which is annoying. Finally, the reason I am writing this review is to mention that I have had mine for about 6 months and the left earphone just stopped working. NO sound comes out at all. I tried wiggling the wire around and NOTHING. It's really too bad because when they're working and not falling out the sound is really great, especially at this price. I don't think I go back to basic earphones that don't have the surround sound feature.

  5. I had difficulties with quite a few different makes and models of earbuds that were not loud enough and tore themselves to bits. These are very sturdy nice and loud and stay put in my ears. Everything I look for in an earbud!

  1. I really like the headphones. When they go out of range the sound just cuts out. My other headphones produced loud fuzzy static when they went out of range. The surround sound is interesting, but I could leave it also. The vibration affect doesn't do that much for me, but you can turn it off if you want, which is nice. They fit nice and are light. The sound is first class. I would buy them again.

  2. Well, I had high hopes for this product. I should have known better. Basically, you get a lot of static no matter how you adjust the knobs. Nuff said. Always that background noise, no matter what. This will work if you are watching TV in bed and don't want to wake the wife, but forget any sense of realism if you want immersive sound in a gamer environment or quality live music. I returned my set after about 40 minutes out of the box. Plus, you have to really aim the IR transmitter perfectly just to get a decent signal, and it cuts out any time you move around or place your hand in front of your face. Much better to suffer the wire than to purchase this. Don't do it.

  3. I've owned these headphones for almost 5 months now. A little over a month ago, the sound started cutting out in the right ear. I was able to play around with it and move the headphones around and it'd come back. Annoying, but at least I could get it working fairly easily. Unfortunately, those days seem to be over as that doesn't quite do the trick anymore. The warranty was only for 90 days and they now charge about $25 to repair them (not to mention return shipping). I wouldn't recommend them unless you buy an extended warranty. Even then, they weren't exactly the greatest headphones in terms of sound. I'd recommend avoiding them.

  4. I bought these headphones for my 83 year old dad who wears hearing aids in both ears. He can't hear the new tv. The hook up was simple and they worked great right out of the box. The instructions were simple and easy to read. Sony gives you a couple of different ways to plug in, depending on what set-up you have. They play loud enough for him and they don't make the hearing aids buzz. I feel that they are outstanding for the money and Amazon always makes buying from them simple and once again, a very good value.

  5. This is my first set of wireless headphones. I bought them so my kids can watch TV in the living room at night without bothering me in the next room. I am using them with an ONKYO receiver, Satellite, PS3, and HD tv set up. I have the headphones tied into the receiver.

First time I tried them, there was a noticeable amount of static. The second time, however there was none. What changed? The time of day. The manual says that direct sunlight can interfere with the signal, and sure enough it does. My AV rack is near a window that gets a lot of sun during the morning (the first time I tried them), later in the afternoon when the window was in the shade the static was gone.

I have a large living room that is adjacent to our kitchen. I get good reception within the full TV viewing range.

The headphones are comfortable, although they tend to make my ears sweat after a while. I like the recharge base, and the overall look of the headphones. I didn't like the short (about 3 feet) phone jack cable that the unit came supplied with. I had to rearrange my stereo components to allow the cord to reach the headphone jack. Also, don't like having to plug/unplug them when I go to use them, but other than these minor annoyances, they sound great and get the job done.

  1. Afetr reading the reviews I was afraid that these might be crap. I am using them to practice DJing at home and am very happy with them. I know that there are better headphones out there but was drawn to these because of the hip design. They have a nice warm bass to them that reminds me of being at a big club or party with a heavy sound system. I'll probaby give a pair of these as a gift to a friend that listens to music at home.

  2. The Panasonic RP-HTX7PP headphones are exactly what I was looking for: fun. They're elegantly designed (as is the packaging), lightweight, and sound good to me. They are much more effective than earbuds at dampening the surrounding background noise, but don't shut you out completely.

  3. I never recieved this order. Amazon is retarded. How hard is it to deliver something? i want my @#$@ money back. NOW!

  4. Its been almost a month that I am using this headset. I didn't think that in this much less cost I will get a quite satisfactory product. The headset is quite comfortable and is adjustable. Its headband strap is too good. It doesn't pull your hair. Moreover the sound clarity is awesome. Well if u are too much concerned about the every beat of the music and the extra details then this might not be your choice. I think you should go for sony or Boss in that case. But still you can hear the sound very clearly. I would definitely recommend this within $30 for its comfortness and sound clarity.
I rated it as 4 because I am comparing the sound clarity with Sony and Boss. Otherwise w.r.t price it can be rated as 5.

  5. These are quality sound for everyday use. They look way cool too! Definitely a great deal, b/c I've been comparison shopping this item for a few weeks before I purchased it from Amazon. As always, awesome shipping.

  1. Not a lot of highs.
    Low to mid.
I like the ones that came with my ipod better.
Wish they had not fell in the toilet. :)

  2. These were a great deal for the price paid. They fit nicely, and have good sound for those who are looking for a cheap alternative to the crappy earbuds provided with mp3 players.

  3. I LOVE these little things! They are very comfortable in my ears and I even have a piercing in there. Don't need to buy the $30 ones because these work great!

  4. Sound quality is so bad. Something you'd expect from a dollar store. I do not recommend this item. However it may work for AM radio and/or low-bitrate eBooks (though I still think the price is way too high for this quality). Included Napster trial was expired.

  5. Wow, how bad! I took a chance with these Coby headphones. I thought I would save a couple bucks but they are just totally worthless. I would say they are worse than the stock ipod hedphones. Really low audio, barely audible. The rubber pieces on the tips kept falling off and one got lodged in my ear and was pretty painful to get out. I tried getting my money back but after being left for 30 minutes on hold, they said "what do you expect for $12" and refused to refund my money.

  1. So I have been using a standard ipod headphones since i've purchased my ipod touch in november and those are about par if not a bit less for what I expect for a $15 pair of headphones
long story short - they broke (the rubber came off around them and they just fell to crap)

So I priced a few headphones
    -apple standard buds $29? walmart
    -bose in earbuds $90 amazon
    -philips standard headphones $15

So I purchased the $15 headphones from phillips and the sound quality i found to be better than apples, but i couldn't block ANY sound when i would mow the lawn or do anything with sound so i returned them.
    I purchased the bose buds
I expected rediculous sound being that i paid 1/3 the cost of my ipod touch just to have these headphones.

    FINALLY-
The quality i found to be fuller and much more realistic than any other ear buds i've used. I have only had them a day but i have heard quite a few verses in songs that I had no idea what they were saying with my other buds and with these i could clearly hear what they were saying.
    the sound is deffinitly crisper.
But for the price these headphones just don't - BLOW my mind like many think they should for what they are charging for them.

(another pair of headphones i found to be similar to these are the stock ear buds that come with the samsung yp-k5, yet the quality and comfort come no where near the bose the sound quality is a bit closer than all others mention prior)

  2. These ear buds are as good as any other Bose product.
How they improve the clearity of the music is truly amazing !

  3. *****WARNING**** If you purchase this product (Bose Tri Port) make sure you purchase this product from a KNOWN SOURCE because if not, you will be buying a Knock Off (Fake) version of this product. Also ***WARNING*** If you buy any headphone set for 49.99 or 45.99 or even 63.99 (and there worth $250 or $150) They will be FAKE!!! like the Bang & Olufsen for 49.99 ***WARNING*** ANY Headphone/Earphone set that is %80 Less than the Original price New, Refurbished or Open Box, they will be fake UNLESS there backed by a Real Manufacturer Warranty or Of course %100 money back guarantee! **** WARNING**** DONT BE FOOLED There are some FAKE BOSE TRI PORTS out there GOOD LUCK!

  4. Pros: Bass response, Fit & Comfort
Cons: High and Mid Range Response.

They have descent bass and a comfortable fit. The sound if full and wide. But the highs & mids are fairly flat & kind of muddy sounding? You have various size silicone earpieces to help you get the best fit. These do not go inside your ear canal the silicone tips just rest on the rim of the canal. So if you don't want that ear plug feeling of a pure sound isolation set of phones these are pretty comfortable. So with that they are a noise reducing option phone not a isolation one. They do reduce outside noise allot more than the standard earbuds though. If you are very active (ie: you want to use these for running or jogging) they maynot offer you a secure enough fit. For me they're fine. They sound better than the standard buds but with less highs & mids (a little muffled). I think I'm going to have to spend more $$$ to get something GOOD! :(

  5. I purchased these a few weeks ago and they arrived rather late. I tried them with my 8gb Sandisk Sansa and they sound alright. It's alot less bass than what i expected, but the overall quality is good enough. I use these while running on the treadmill with a clip on my shirt so that the wires wouldn't be tugging down after every step. The ear pieces fit great, i don't see how people judge them so negatively. Everyone is different, so everyone will differ when it comes with ear shape.
