  1. You might as well throw your money away instead of buying these. The cord separated from the plug after less than a week of pretty minor (less than 1hr per day, no pulling) use.

  2. I totally disagree with the previous comments. These come from a good company and I'm so glad I stumbled on them. I actually expected them NOT to have good sound -- WRONG! I would compare these to my SONY earbuds and my IPOD VIDEO EARBUDS - (5th Gen). I liked them so much, I went back & purchased a 2nd pair for backup! They're GREAT - don't hesitate! I would add one thing to this: I would recommend adding the "iBuds" to your earpieces on both these and the APPLE Earbuds - makes them more comfortable, helps keep them in your ears and directs the music into your ears, improving the sound -- GO FOR IT ;-)

  3. Let me explain. I bought these on amazon not used, or like new, but new. I got them in the mail 2 days after I ordered them, so I was obviously excited. I opened the box, and right away, I realized that the wires were thinner than the Sony headphones that I have that will die since the wires are exposed. Right away, I plugged in my Coby headphones. Unlike some of the other times with this company, but similar to one time before with this company, the quality was poor at best. My guess is that Coby is one of those companies where sometimes they're good, and sometimes they're not. This time around for me, they're not. They were good for the person that posted before me because he luckily got a good pair. Coby is usually a good company, but with this specific headphone, there are some defects in them. I took a risk and paid the price. I had the same chance to get the best headphone replacement possible. If you're going to get this set, you have about an 80% chance of getting a great replacement for your broken headphones. For this price, I say go for it, because if you're unlucky enough to get a bad pair, it won't be a loss to you. *ends rant*

  4. These are extremely poor quality headphones. I started using them with my iPod, and compared to other headphones on the same device, the volume and sound quality is horrible. Even with the volume turned to maximum, I often had trouble hearing softer songs and podcasts with even minimal background noise. They also don't come with any sort of soft cover for the earpieces to provide comfort for the ears, so using them is often painful. To make it worse, these headphones actually started to buzz in one ear after only about a month of use. Now the sound will fade in and out, and I've only had these for about 6 weeks. I was very disappointed with these headphones.

  5. These are very uncomfortable. I have small ears and these started to hurt after only 30 minutes of use. I had to turn up the volume on my music when I used these earbuds compared to my ancient, lower-quality-line Sony (over the head) earphones. The sound quality was not good.

Also, the packaging states that the cords contain lead and you should wash hands after handling the earbuds. SCARY!!!

Do yourself a favor and get something better quality. What is the point of spending a lot of money on a good music player if your earbuds don't let you hear it well?

  1. Remember most of the time you get what you pay for. I didn't expect them to be perfect, and was pleasantly surprised to find they were fairly decent. I had some trouble keeping them in my ears, specially after pushing off the wall. The dynamics are good under water, if you can keep a seal.

  1. I just don't like the extra long wire (15 inches) on one side of the earphones. Due to this design, one ear bud keeps popping out. Can't use these at the gym since the extra weight of one side keeps causing them to come out. I can't comment on the sound since I can't keep them in place long enough to listen. Picture is deceiving since it make one side look only one inch longer when in fact mine is about 15 inches longer on one side. Returning ASAP!!

  2. I recently received this item to replace the somewhat lacking ipod stock headphones. The first thing that struck me about this product is the comfort of the "canalbud" design. For me, traditional earbuds because excruciating after any more than an hour or so of continuous use. These buds have an almost foam earbud feel to them, and I've been able to wear them for extended periods of time with no discomfort. The sound response on these is fantastic, with respectable bass without sacrificing the mids and highs as well. Headroom's frequency response graphs show superior sound production compared to all earbuds in this range.

The only drawback I've found so far is the thin cord, which is easily tangled and bent and does not seem to be very sturdy. Time will tell if this becomes a bigger issue later on. Overall, I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for high quality earbuds in a reasonable price range.

  3. Just got it. 1st impressions are good...i thought the bass was a little low, but just used a different setting for the ipod equalizer and got it ok. Really small on the ears, beautiful black finish. Worth the money.

  4. Having never tried ear-buds before I'd often been suspicious of their sound quality claims, but I'm quite impressed with these little things. The clarity is excellent, the ability to produce bass without sounding muddy is fantastic, and overall I'm really just impressed you can get so much out of something so small. Some folks have mentioned a "tinny" quality as far as the sound output goes, but I've heard none of this myself.

They fit very nicely too. I was concerned about this headphone design making my ears sore, but that's definitely not been the case. They're very light, the inserts allow you to pick the right size for the ear canal, and I must say the cord design is top notch. The instructions for wearing these are on the package, do yourself a favor and briefly look at those first because while I thought the concept was curious, the overall benefit of this design is clear. I have no issues with the buds being pulled out of my ear and the cord being supported seems to take the remaining weight off them as well (not that the cord is heavy).

  5. I just bought a pair of CX300's, at least in part as a result of the reviews I read here. I can't fault the sound, both Billy Holiday and Luciano Pavarotti sound like champs on my Cowon D2. Outside noise is efectively canceled, however the cord, which is too short, conducts all air disturbances in a most distressing way. So if you are planning to go running or to the gym with your mp3 player, think about getting some other brand with less sensitivity. I am listening now to the Nat King Cole Trio as I write, I am sitting very quietly and they sound great.

  1. I won these headphones at the Maxell tent at Summerfest and they have far exceeded my expectations. Excellent frequency response from booming lows to crisp highs. The 105dB sensitivity rating is no joke. Easily one of the best open-air headphones I've ever used (and over $100 less than the few that exceeded). Sound is comparable to my go-to pair of (originally $80, now much less) JBL Reference 410's.

  1. These are my favorite of all the rubber sleeves I've ever used on my assorted collection of ear canal headsets. They are a bit sticky so once you get them in there they stay in really well; can easily be removed and replaced (unlike the foam ones which are admittedly more comfortable). Here's my trick, on an airplane I put a rubber sleeve on one side and foam on the other ear. The foam one stays in there for the duration, if a stewardess or somebody comes up to me I pop the rubber one out so I can hear and respond (talk about good sound isolation!) and then I pop it back in. Eventually these will get slippery and lose their sticking power; then its time to buy these replacements :)

  2. I bought these before finding the triple flange. These don't fit as well, don't sound isolate as well, and put the hard part of the headphone in your ear which is not as comfortable as the triple flange which only puts soft stuff in your ear.

  1. I just love this product, the ear buds work G8 and they don't slip out of my ears as the originals do for the Ipod Nano.

  2. I loved the idea of the ear buds it was exactly what i wanted and it fit perfectly on my nano 3g except...
The tiny metal clips on the inside of the lanyard connection will scrape and damage your ipod. They are very flimsy and after a couple uses become very loose and fall apart.
I don't think it was just a bad pair that I got, I think the mechanism is just a cheap design.
