  1. I bought these buds from a Borders for $10. I liked the look and the description sounded good. The moment I opened them, I noticed how thin and flimsy the wires were. Upon putting them into my Zune, I noticed that the jack had to be kept as still as possible or the sound would only work in one bud. That meant I couldn't put my Zune into my pocket and walk with them, let alone run.

I plan on trying to return the buds to Koss. Of course, to return you must mail a six dollar check with the defective product.

  1. These are exactly what I was looking for. I needed something that was made for athletic purposes and not plug my ears so I could hear people around me and these fit the bill. I work construction and I'm constantly moving so I was looking for a sports headphone with a lanyard that would carry my Ipod. I read reviews that said the same thing about not staying in but I wanted to see if my ears would work with them. I tried them on and any head movement at all they would fall out. I tried different ways to get them to stay in but to no avail. The ear piece is too big. The problem is that the sound quality was so good. I returned them and purchased the "Twist to Fit" MX75's instead. These stay in! I can bend over, turn sideways, look up and they stay put plus they don't isolate me from the sounds around me if I have them on a medium loudness. The only problem is I have this long tangling cord that is a problem. I wrapped up the cord and I connected it with small zip ties to my lanyard so now the earphone cord is part of the lanyard now, sort of like this pair but doesn't look as good. If the MXL70 came out with with the MX75's earpieces it would be perfect.

  2. I have used these headphones for 3-4 months now and have been very happy with them. They have a great sound quality and fit very comfortably. The volume control on the lanyard is a great idea that allows me to immediately drown out the grunters who inevitably choose the machine next to me.

This was a great purchase with no regrets.

  3. I bought these to go w/ my sony E507 mp3 player (which i love). I got it to use at the gym while working out, its anoying to have a long cord going to your pocket, and you cant get a good workout (arms) w/ a bicep band. I previously had a sony lanyard w/ the ear buds [MDR-NX1], it was great, but it eventually broke. So i decided to go a cheaper route and buy this product. It sounds good, is exactly what i need, but the earphones do not stay in your ear. Especially while working out, if i start to jump rope or hit the heavy bag, they fall out really quick. Now before you say that it shouldnt stay in while doing these things, my sony earbud [MDR-NX1] (little rubber pieces on the end) lanyard stayed in fine.

    does the job

    -'s
    doesnt stay in the ear
Not that comfortable for extended wear.

Save your money, but the sony MDR-NX1

  4. Bought these for sporting purpose as i like to cycle and go to the gym weekly. Good sound but only stays in my ears for 30 seconds at a time. Cord is too short to have an IPOD in your pocket and the extension cord is too long to have in your pocket. I am not happy with them at all and i strongly recommend not to buy them, The CX500 is much better and more feasible for athletics or general use. Thank you - John

  5. These are probably the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. The concept is great, but they need to go back to the drawing board on these. The ear plugs do not stay in the ears. They are extremely large and keep falling out. Dont waste your money.

This is a good brand name, I have purchased many headphones from them, but these are horrible.

  1. Very comfortable, has a volume control on the cord. Sound is great (but I'm no expert) with excellent volume.

  2. I thought i received the ear clips when promised and they work great with my mp3 player the fit is great and are comfortable.

  3. These headphones worked well enough for a while--they are comfortable and have decent sound--but are very fragile. They probably come with a little pouch for a reason. I used them pretty much every day, including while working out, and usually just packed them into my purse or backpack with the rest of my stuff; but I wouldn't say that I abused them too much. After less than six months of use the right wire broke off from the ear clip. Sad. So I guess, if you have these or are going to buy them, treat them nicely...other than that they're pretty good for the price.

  4. The cord is extremely short--2' tops--so you can't use them unless you're clipping your mp3 player on your arm or right at your waist. And I've only been using them about 2 weeks, and the rubber has already broken where the wire connects to the earclip, leaving the wire exposed. And when you use the in-line volume control, it can make half of the stereo sound drop out. I've seen other headphones with in-line volume control do that, but usually only after months, not right out of the box.

On the plus side, it doesn't have that irritating "cord management" thing, where one of the ears has a much longer cord than the other, forcing you to either leave your mp3 player on your left side (which makes SO much sense, since so many of us are left-handed) or have the cord cross in front of you. This one lets you pick which side to wear your ipod on.

  1. Forget the Mixed reviews for this product, here is what it boils down to:
If your ear canal is small these earphones are probably not the best option for you.(I tried these on my son who is 2 yrs old and you might as well forget it, they did not stay in his ears at all but they stay in my ears with out a problem.
the sound is very good for such inexpensive earphones. they do not hurt my ears like the ones that come with the iPod
