- Well all I can say is that I thought I was getting a deal but I was wrong, these headphones look and feel great. The sound is another issue though. It's a pretty hollow sound. The bass crackles and treble is low. I should have waited and got some Koss heaphones or something. The other reviews are pretty correct (the one about the bass cracking is dead on!) Consider something besides these wanna be's.
- Well I feel these headphones are GREAT bang for your buck, very pleased with my purchase and honestly thinking of picking up another pair for home use.
- These headphones are real value for money. Very useful in my office as well as home. For all those people who really like to chill off, this piece is a excellent buy for its price which it is being offered for. I am simply in love with my JVC headphones.
- These earphones have a nice sound to them for the price you pay. My only complaint is the construction of the headset itself. The earpieces are better than far more expensive units I own, shutting out much more of the outside noise that is always going in my house. The problem is the headset itself. It is plastic, with no padding at all. I resorted to taping foam rubber to the top to keep from constantly scraping the top of my head. The size adjustors won't stay put, pulling out all of the time. So I had to adjust to the size I wanted and then tape them into place. There is nothing I can do about the tension though. there is no adjustment for the amount of pressure placed upon your ears so unless your head is the perfect size you will not be able to wear these earphones for very long without your ears starting to hurt. Because the top piece is such stiff plastic, you will not be able to flex it without snapping it entirely. This is unfortunate since even $3 throw away earphones have an ability to adjust the pressure on your ears. I don't understand why these don't. They would have been better off with the type of headset used in the Sony MDR-XD300. That frame looks to be far more comfortable than this one is, even if it would add a couple of dollars to the cost of manufacturing these earphones. The reason I didn't buy those earphones was not so much that they are more expensive as that I was looking for earphones that had a slimmer earpiece because I like to listen to books or music while lying down and thicker earpieces hurt when lying on them. These earpieces don't hurt when I wear them lying down because they are built slim and flat yet have just as much cushioning as thicker earpieces have.
- I hate these headphones.
Get hax570s instead!
These have terrible sound quality and fit really weird. I'd just go for the HAX570s because those have so much better sound it is uncomparable. Avoid these, not worth 25 dollars!

- I particularly like the following on this product:
- gold plate connectors
- very nice design
- The product is nice, and I would know because I have it, but it is hard to bend. I put it in my iPod and it seemed to work fine, but my headphones got STUCK. It took 5 minutes to get them out and I almost broke them.
- I tried several headphone splitters off our 42-inch HD LCD in our home gym, but this one is the best. We've had it for months and it does the job perfectly. Clarity and volume are not affected -- no hum and no attenuation. And the splitter seems impervious to the independent movement of two headphone cords as the sound remains constant -- no shorting out and disruption of sound. Looks classy, too. Next time I need another headphone splitter, this is the one I will buy.

1 comments about GOLD DIGGER METAL.
- After looking at some expensive units in local stores I decided to start with this one. I had also read the manuals for the various Bounty Hunter models at www.detecting.com, and this one seemed to have the options I wanted. The Bounty Hunter brand seemed reasonably priced for the features.
It's well made and easy to use. Used it quite a bit on a recent camping trip, and the two 9-volt batteries still have plenty of life left in them, and I mostly ran it with the speaker rather than the headphones.
It is light and easy to carry and swing back and forth. With the "Trash Eliminator" control set all the way down it has no trouble finding even very small metal items, as low as 6" deep. In an area with many nails, turning up the "Trash Eliminator" seems to create a different toned beep for silver or gold, though I notice that aluminum pop tops were hard to eliminate. If I were looking for artifacts made of iron in an isolated area I would turn the Trash Eliminator off completely so as to not miss anything.
Again, the Gold Digger can really find things. It seems to have a smaller coil than some, perhaps making it capable of finding smaller items. It also seems to pinpoint well. I had no trouble locating the exact spot by simply passing the coil over a few times. Within the first 10 minutes I found an old compass, oddly enough of a type I used to have when I was a kid. I did find a lot of nails, some of them very old. Sometimes it would beep along a straight line making me think I had found a long iron object, but it turned out to be a length of wire. But I'm impressed that it didn't miss anything.
Not bad for the price. I wish I'd had one of these long ago. Now I need to go back to some of the remote places I've been to and do some detecting. It's a great way to pass the time.

- The headphones that I received were an ugly red-orange. The main picture was quite deceiving.
- Great product... works fine and very comfortable design to feet all.
I am glad I have it now.
- these headphones are simple, hold their place, and sound crisp. The only downfall is they are not adjustable for smaller ears or flexible to fit around different shaped ears.
- I bought these earphones hoping they would stay on my ears when I was working out/running. Unfortunately they keep sliding off and I have to constantly keep pushing them back on my ears when I'm running. but maybe that's just my ears...
- I bought this on seeing "4 Star" rating in Amazon.com. It was pretty good when I bought. Now I could not hear any sound from my right side headphone. Very disappointed on the quality from Sony. Be aware when buying this.

- I bought a set of these headphones 2 months ago and they already quit working. They were very uncomfortable and never seemed to fit right. The cord began to come apart almost immediately.
- I bought this product and agree with the other reviewer. It lasted one month. Even though it has the Nike logo, they don't support the product. Nike will send you to Philips because it is manufactured by Philips which has horrible customer support.
- I've gone through 2 of these in 1 month. On the first, the right headphone stopped working after about 2 weeks. The second pair -- same problem, but only after 1 week. I don't know if they're just from a bad batch or what...
The sound is ok, but they're not that comfortable. They're rough on the ears, and the way they curve around your neck almost inhibits your movement.
For retail of 29.95, they're a major letdown.
