- I bought these based on appearance, and will refer everyone to this site for earbuds at a great price and surperb quality. I travel extensively and the hours I log on an airplane desperately require noise cancellation. These are impressive. You can spend all you want on high-end head phones or get several these for a fraction of the cost. I'll be back for more. Check it out for yourself.
- After reading all the positive reviews about these SOUND-SQUARED earbuds, I am a little disappointed by the sound quality of this one. The sound is clear, but not well balanced. It is mostly on the high and middle frequency. The bass is missing a little. The sound quality also depends on how you position them in your ear. If you don't push them hard enough against your ear, the sound could be almost squeaky. It's got a noise-reducing effect by making air-tight chambers in the ears, which means you have to force the rubbers deep into your ears. I feel quite uncomfortable with that, especially after some time of continuous listening. But this could be personal, because I've seen quite some reviews appreciating the comfort of this kind of earbuds. Overall, it is buyable for the price but does not offer a balanced sound.
- I have purchased several in-ear earbuds....these are the worst by far...I wouldn't even give them away. They look great, but sound terrible.

- These give a great sounds and fit well (nice case too). Good price as well since they are like 150 on Panasonic's website. Unfortunately, it has an asymetric cords, but I have learned to deal with it.
- I've collected quite a few nice headphones, and I enjoy trying new products, and with headphones, it's interesting to buy and try other brands/models, since you can get pretty good sound without spending a lot.
So far, I've heard earbud and IEM (In Ear Monitor) models from high end brands such as Etymotic Research, Shure, Ultimate Ears, and others. For more casual use, I've been looking for good earbuds (easier to use than a pure IEM).
After seeing pictures of this earbud from Panasonic, and reading the rave reviews, I decided to give these a try since they are a pretty good deal offered here on Amazon at around $62+
The presentation of these headphones is nice, they feel solid and are funky looking. They come with a metal case which looks like a card case, and it comes with a short cable (just long enough to place your MP3 player in your pocket) but includes with cable extension so you can plug them into your desktop stereo/computer
The metal case looks impressive, but is not that useful as it's thin and takes too much work to put the headphones into it. You have to snap the two headphones together, and insert them into the fitted foam, and they wind up the cable and insert them into the netted section. All too fussy to do on a day to day basis.
As for the sound, I just could not get these to fit into my ear. I tried all three rubber tip sizes. The sound was harsh, with too much treble and a very weak bass. If I really really pushed hard on them to force a tight seal, the sound improved a lot but they my ears started hurting. The bass was very full sounding, maybe a bit underdamped even, but the treble was still a bit too much, a bit too brash sounding. I'm pretty used to forward and bright sounding headphones (I own the $200 Etymotic ER4S which are quite bright and detailed IEMs)
I'm not sure what else I can do, but in the end, I'd have to rank these a distant third place behind the other two high grade earbuds in the under $100 range (Audio Technica ATH-CK7 and Sony EX90). Even when I force them to seal well in my ears, they just didn't sound as good as those other two.
So as always, your own experiences may vary, but I'd advise you to give the others ones a try first before these ones, and buy from a place that allows returns.
- I had high expectations for these earphones after reading the first 5 reviews, but I was very disappointed. The sound quality is weak, especially the bass; the lower grade earphones that came with my MP3 player produce a much richer sound. The only positive is that they are very comfortable.
- I recently purchased these panasonic earbuds, and I have been very pleased with them thus far, great sound, and very durable. I like that it comes with 3 different sizes to fit your ears. The asymmetrical headphone cord is my only complaint. It makes your MP3 player very difficult to use in some settings. Don't buy these if you want to go running with them. They work for some other athletic activities like biking though.
- I had these for about a year before the cord developed a short just from regular use and storage in the included box. They had good sound and were comfortable after I got used to them, but start to hurt after long periods of use. Wouldn't buy again... They've turned me off to the small $50+ in-ear headphones for fear they'll break too easily.

- I have tried almost a half dozen different ear buds and these have, by far, the best sound quality in the price range. I would recommend them highly.
- tinny, no bass whatsoever, they just sound bad. they are also uncomfortable because of the way they are shaped and don't fit well.
- The price was quite low, so I didn't have very good expectations for these in-the-ear earbud headphones. However, I was quite surprised at the quality of them. One thing I was looking for was a good appearance. I was very happy with the look of these. They don't look cheap like my previous headphones, but very sleek sharp and expensive. All of my friends are impressed with them. Unlike my previous headphones, these don't hurt my ears or fall out as easily as my previous ones. There are a couple of bad things about these headphones such as : They do ocassionally fall out and it is difficult to get the earbuds and plug in thingy to fit in the "case" type thing. I DO reccomend these headphones and I hope this helps you guys!
- I am not an expert so to me these headphones are ok, excellent sound, no problem with them at all.
- I've had these for about 6 months and the left earphone just gave out. Maybe I was just unlucky, but that is unacceptably short life-span for earphones like this.
The phones are also a little too big for my ears; actually they are a bit larger than the standard iPod phones so if you think those are too big, stay away from these.
Besides, the sounds on these is really quite mediocre. It's not terrible, but there's very little bass and poor mid-range definition. Again, the only other earphones I've owned recently are the standard iPod phones, and those have a much better sound that this one.
I'm looking to replace these now that they've given out, and I'm certainly going to buy something different this time.

- If you don't want to spend a lot of money but want good sound, this is the head set for you! I like to play my piano while my husband watches TV just five feet away from me. He doesn't hear me nor do I hear the TV...unless I stop playing. The sound is great for the price. The cord is extra long so it doesn't interfere with my keyboard. This product works for me!

- I tried many pairs of headphones, read reviews and these are OUTSTANDING, what live surround sound they have and that is just off a computer and ipod touch around the house of course.
I won't be wearing these larger cans out and about. Connecting them to my sound system gave me near the same sound as my 7 channel system puts out and of course on that level you can adjust bass and treble and so on. Even with the pod and computer the sound was simply grand to me.
Shop around as I got mine recently for $204, tax and shipping included. I did check out some others of Sennheiser and Denon, both excellent but double the price and these just have a live sound and let me hear everything.
These are closed headphones and you actually get to listen without outside noises or outside noise at a min. These are NOT noise cancelling though but they will give you sound like you have never heard from headphones. I was used to the $20 pair of ear buds so this is 200 steps up! Again go to real audio stores and try out several pairs as hearing to all is very different. Music, movies and gaming types all play a role in how things are projected or heard by each individual.
- When I got these headphones, I didnt expect them to be this much of a improvement over my current headphones. But I was wrong, when I put these on my head I was shocked. I heard things I never heard, not even with the AD700 I had before these.
The headphones band was tight for a while then it loosing up, also the headphones went thru the stage of burning in and still are. They sound even better now then they did when I bought them. They sound great while combine with the OPA627AU opamps that I using with my Auzen Prelude.
I wished I got these sooner.
- I'm totally impressed with these. Soundstage, clarity, transparency, bass.. these have it all. I've really spoiled myself with these headphones. I've purchased a LOT of high dollar high-end stereo equipment over the years , but this is the best bang for the buck I've ever spent. Very happy customer!
- The Ultrasone 780 headphones are the most amazing headphones I have ever had the pleasure of owning. They cost a little more than normal headphones, but are worth every penny. I have tried some of the other higher end headphones and these are the best by far. I recommend these headphones for gaming, listening to music and movies. They don't have noise canceling but the closed can design reduces outside noise. The virtual surround sound actually works. With some classical music it sounds like your in a concert hall.
