5 comments about Sony Bravia S-Series KDL-46S4100 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.
- My fiance and I are very happy with tv. Its the nicest frame/bezel Sony has made to date. Plenty of options and connections for the average tv watcher, but not enough for a media guru. We got what we wanted. Of course the engine could be faster but you cant wait for the next tv to come out or you will miss out on enjoying today.
- After spending much time comparing wide screen televisions at numerous electronics stores, many hours of internet research, and soliciting opinions of friends, I finally chose the new Sony Bravia S Series 46" TV. I am extremely happy with my choice and the whole purchase experience. The TV picture quality is excellent and the savings in tax and shipping through Amazon was an added bonus. The 'white glove' freight company shipped within the hour they said they would be at my house, and then they delivered it safe and sound to my family room. Instructons were clear and setup was a breeze. We were enjoying the TV in surround sound mode in about thirty minutes. If you are on the fence about HD, LCD, brand, etc... as I definitely was, you can confidently take the plunge with this TV. SONY has finally gotten real with the S series price point without compromising picture quality one bit.
- Bought this TV after about 3 months of research. Watched all the TVs in Best Buy, Circuit City, Frys, etc., for hours. Could not get past the picture quality of this TV as compared to other models on the wall. And sound quality was by far the best among the TVs I looked at - important if you don't plan to use a home theater system. Stand and look at this TV in the store and compare it to the other TVs and you'll see what I mean. Picture quality seemed more natural and less grainy than other brands on the wall.
Before buying I breifly considered some 120 HZ models, including the Samsung 650 and the new Sony, all at around $500 more than this model. As for 120 Hz, I just couldn't tell a difference on broadcast HD/TV, and while the difference on movies was obvious, the effect seemed unnatural. Made films look more like live TV - interesting to watch, but just not a true movie experience in my opinion. I'm not knocking 120 Hz, just didn't feel like it was for me.
Connected this TV to a Sony progressive scan DVD using component connections and got incredible picture quality. I guess BlueRay via HDMI would be better, but honestly I can't imagine how. Still on analog cable at the moment with only a handful of digital HD channels available - all of which look fantastic. Converting to Verizon FIOS next week and looking forward to even better picture quality.
As for setup, I went from the box to watching TV in under 10 minutes. No alteration of the default picture settings was required in my opinion. I do recommend using the "standard" picture mode. "Vivid" is cool at first, but hard on the eyes after a while. And you will probably want to boost the bass a little on the audio. Standard definition channels, as viewed on any HD TV, will vary in quality. I found most standard def channels to look pretty good, and I think Sony does the best job overall of cleaning up the picture.
Remote is simple and easy to use, and I've found the on-screen menus to be reasonably intuitive. For me it had plenty of inputs: 3 HDMI, 2 component, 2 composite, and a PC. Also has a single audio out which can be used to connect to an A/V receiver or (I presume) a home theater system if you have one.
The only two cons I have found for this TV are: 1) after you power it on, it takes about 7-10 seconds before the picture comes on -- but my old Sony did this too so it wasn't a big deal to me. And 2) you can't scroll through channels quickly, you have to move one at a time. Not sure if this is unique to Sony or if all TVs do this. But if you're using a cable or satallite box, then this won't matter to you anyway.
Bottom line -- great picture quality, decent sound, affordable price, easy to setup and use, no complicated fine tuning required, and a brand name that won't embarrass you when your friends come over. Go see one in the store and then trust your eyes, you won't be disappointed.
- Sony Bravia S-Series KDL-46S4100: Arrived quickly from Kentucky (Amazon). The "White Glove" delivery service was performed fine, although had to remind delivery person to please take the packing material. TV performs flawlessly.
Amazon should better explain their no-interest use of Amazon card; which I took advantage of!

- I purchased the Sony XBR4 52" for my living room as this TV was the one that stood out on the wall of 40 tv's at every electronics store I visited. I then wanted a nice TV for my bedroom but didn't want to spend the $$ as I don't watch TV in the bedroom as often as the living room.
After looking at 46" TV's, again I found Sony to be the one to buy.
This time the Sony KDL-46S4100. It has all of the features I was looking for. I was concerned that the contrast ratio was much lower than the XBR4, however if there is a difference, it's slight. Shows broadcast in full HD like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno look outstanding.
You won't be dissapointed.
Side Note: The first TV ordered via Amazon arrived on time via CEVA (Amazon's main shipper of televisions). I didn't open the box for a week as I was waiting for my cable to be hooked up in the bedroom. After opening the box, a large crack on the screen was clearly visible. I emailed Amazon, they sent another TV at no charge and CEVA picked up the first TV. I opened up the box of the 2nd TV and hooked it up while the delivery men were still in house. Everything was fine on the 2nd TV.

1 comments about Sony Bravia V-Series KDL-42V4100 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.
- I'd have said I loved it. Excellent sound (without additional speakers); awesome color and sharpness with DVD and HD cable. Lots of little "extras" like variable sleep timer (up to 2 hours), timer settings (I've been known to use this as an alarm clock), dimmer options, ambient room lighting automatic adjustment option, many device inputs, and more.
HOWEVER. There's always a "however," isn't there? Mine is just 5 days old. I thought it was by far the best TV for the price (and I got mine very inexpensively indeed, thanks to my extended warranty on my old television). Then, today, it went white. The entire screen (even the black "bars" set around a 4:3 picture - I don't like to distort the image, so I leave bars) is a purplish-whitish-grey and it doesn't matter which input setting I use. Other televisions hooked up to the same inputs are fine - I checked. I wasted hours trying to get Customer Service or Technical Support at Sony. Finally, I contacted my vendor for a replacement, which they agreed to provide.
If it had lasted years, I'd have said nothing. If I had done something to the television, like dropped it, spilled something on it, or pushed some bizarre button sequence on the remote, it would have been my own fault. But I just got this thing five days ago, and the screen went white in the middle of my viewing a DVD. FIVE DAYS? That's a new low. And NO customer support from Sony - which just added insult to injury.
Since I have no way of knowing what actually went wrong with the screen, or how likely it is that I'll have this problem with the replacement, I will give this two stars (instead of one). But be careful if you choose to buy this item - and make sure you get a warranty!

- The television arrived promptly by the date promised and we had it installed in our RV. It is very sleek and has an outstanding picture. We are very pleased with our purchase.
- I had to return my tv- it was dead when it arrived. when i phoned sharp, they said it happens all the time with products from Tiger Direct-
STAY AWAY from TIGER DIRECT was their advise and mine!
- This a great tv and the picture quality for HD channels is excellent. I also play my PS3 games with my this tv and I have to say that there is unbelievable sharpness with PS3 games. Overall picture quality and sound are great and the game button on the remote is very convenient. It helps while switching between game and tv programs. Setup was very easy with no hassel at all.
- I found one dead pixel on this TV, but I guess if you don't want dead pixels then you have to test it in a shop and buy one in a shop instead of buying it online. I also found that it takes some for the grey-to-black, you can see ghosting effect. Also, consistent with the other reviews, it doesn't come with very good speakers, so better use some external speakers. I game a lot with my PS3 using this TV (the dead pixel still annoys me a lot, I guess when you get a Full HD you kinda demand perfection), and somehow it's harder to see the images when there's a lot of sunlight, requiring me to sit closer (and I have 25/20 vision). Overall, this is a good TV comparing price for price with other brands. With Sharp' new Kameyama state-of-the-art factory though, you'd think that they would have up-ed their quality a bit more.
- We did not buy this Sharp Aquos because it is a gaming TV, but because we saw it next to TVs in the same price range at one of the electronics chains, and the Sharp picture blew the others away. Even though we knew we would save almost $200 buying the TV online, we were a little nervous about buying from TigerDirect through Amazon. We took the plunge, though, and the TV arrived in a matter of days in perfect condition. The set-up with our HD DVR was a little difficult, and calls to Time Warner weren't much help when the support person insisted the 480i showing on the DVR was the DVR model number. We finally went to Time Warner's Web site and found the information we needed to get the set up to maximum resolution. We have had the TV a couple of months now and are very happy with it. A word to the wise -- if your order with Amazon "suggests" you purchase a Bargaincell HDMI cable for an extra $1.98, pass on it. We ordered the cable, and the audio was nonfunctional.

5 comments about Sony Bravia XBR-Series KDL-46XBR5 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.
- Our old 27" Panasonic finally gave up the ghost just before Xmas. After reading as many internet reviews as possible, I decided to take the plunge and purchase the pricey Sony KDL46XBR5. You know you have made the right decision when the installer is jealous of your set. Great picture, great sound, great televison. This is the standard by which all LCD's are judged. I just wish there was more HD programming available. Saving up for my Blu-Ray player now.Sony KDL46XBR5 46" BRAVIA XBR(R) series LCD Flat Panel HDTV
- I owned the KDL-46XBR3 for a year, then I had an unexpected opportunity to replace it with the KDL-46XBR5.
If I thought that the XBR3 picture was amazing, the XBR5 is even better, much better. Movies get unprecedented realism, almost 3D. It is a visual experience I never had with any TV I ever watched.
Of course, a few analog channels look bad when stretched to 46", but that is true for anyone upgrading from a 27" low-def tube to an HD big fixed-pixel screen.
The XBR3's menu was easier to use than the fancy XMB in the XBR5, and both sets have big but basic remotes which are not good for anything other than controlling the TV itself. No buttons for even cable box's info, guide, page up/down etc.
And yes, its design is a stunner on the wall, when turned off.
Don't forget to read the reviews for KDL-46XBR4, it is the same TV.
- This was a terrific buy. The price has dropped considerably at local stores, but the best deal was from Van's with free shipping. We was able to track delivery all the way, and it came in a day early. It arrived in perfect shape and the driver even helped me bring it into my living room. I had to offer him a tip at least three times before he'd accept it.
We almost didn't spend this much money on a flat screen based on what I looked at in the Best Buy showroom. This one is worth it. We have a brightly lit family room during the day, and it doesn't get washed out at all. When we first tuned in to an HD channel our jaws dropped. HD channels are amazing and there's enough of them now that we spend most of our time watching only HD programming. We have an older DVD player, but movie rentals and home movies look great. With the 16:9 aspect ratio it feels like we're really watching a movie compared to just watching a movie on TV. There are a few artifacts and some of the older TV shows are blurry, but about 95% of what we watch is excellent. FIOS should fix these minor problems.
Setup was easy, about 30 minutes. To setup the TV you'll want to connect your cable directly to the TV first, then connect it to your DVD player and the HD box you get from the cable company.
We've been able to watch an HD movie from my new laptop that came with an HDMI output. We've also been able to work on the laptop hooked up to the LCD TV using a wireless mouse and keyboard from the couch. At 1920 x 1080 pixels, I had to increase the font size in the browser but I was off surfing in no time.
The style of the TV is beautiful. We placed it in a Stanley Furniture Lincoln Park Plasma TV Bookcase and the combination is stunning. We bought the bracket to mount it, but when we set the TV in the bookcase on it's own pedestal it was just fine. We love every aspect of it.
- I have been waiting for 2 years to join the flat panel, high def TV crowd. The thing that always stopped me was price, quality of standard def on a fixed pixel TV, and the number of high def stations to actually watch. Prices have come down and the number of high def stations has gone up so picture quality was left.
After researching it as much as I could, I got this TV. The floating glass perimeter with piano black surround looks sharp; I think much better than the XBR4.
On to picture quality: high def is fantastic as you would expect but standard def looks as good or better as a regular tube TV. It says in the owners manual that the picture is as good as the input. I have a satellite digial signal and get the results I describe. If you have cable or over the air then you may get different results.
Another thing I will mention is the remote has easy to use buttons on it to adjust the picture settings as well as the size. This means you can change the settings to the default picture settings for cinema, for example, which tweaks alot of calibrations on color, motion, etc. You also can easily toggle thru the picture sizes to stretch or unstretch the picture. I find the longer I have the TV the less I use these because I have found the ones I like best but it is nice to know they can be easily adjusted if desired.
Finally, I also got a Toshiba upscaling DVD player/recorder for about $130. It says it upscales DVD's to 1080p and they do look fantastic. I may have to hook up a regular DVD player to see if there really is a difference but overall this TV has worked out great for my situation.
- In the past six months, I've been fortunate enough to purchase two flat-screen TVs for different parts of my home, and one is the Sony XBR5 LCD TV. I find the picture and sound quality very good, especially on HD sources such as 1080p Blu-Ray. The HDMI and other connections work flawlessly. The controls are well done with easy-to-navigate menus, and all the technology Sony describes adds up to a really good product. Side by side against Samsung or other LCD competitors, I think Sony clearly has the best product.
I would leave it at that, however, the truth is that as good as the Sony is, it doesn't hold a candle to the other TV I recently bought - a 50" Pioneer 1080p plasma. While plasma may seem to be yesterday's technology, I had a tight space that the Pioneer 5010HD fit perfectly, and so I went with it. Now, after several months of watching the plasma versus the Sony, I can honestly say that the LCD technology in the Sony has a long way to go before it catches the Pioneer's picture quality. Indeed, after watching the plasma for any length of time, going back to the LCD is a bit of a let-down...by comparison, the Sony is harsh and grainy, with much poorer black levels and much less of a "film like" experience.
Yes, I give the Sony high marks for what it is - but I'd encourage anyone reading this review to take a long hard look at a similar sized high-end plasma unit before committing to the Sony.

5 comments about Sony Bravia Z-Series KDL-40Z4100/B 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black.
- Not really sure why the price of this TV is $2300. The new Sony XBR 37 inch is only $1300. How much is a 52 inch going to cost? $4,000? Again, Sony makes no sense and over charges for their products. I'm buying Samsung.
- I recommend this new Z series or an XBR (over 40") due to one fact - the 10-bit Processor and 10-bit Panel. The S, V and W series all look great, but they have 8-bit panels this year (see chart above). For the deepest blacks and best color reproduction, the 10-bit panel/processor makes a huge difference, more than any other LCD feature difference I've seen. The 120hz is impressive, too, giving a 3-D effect, especially on Blu-ray/HD playback, and can be turned on and off. If you like Samsung, the 650 and 750 series also have the 10-bit Processor and 10-bit Panel and 120hz, but I think Sony has a more natural picture - hope this helps. Been shopping for 8 months, uugh.
- Let me start by saying that I own a fair bit of Sony product--and have been a fan of their TV's (muchless HDTV's) for a long time.
Thus, I was willing to pay the retail price premium for this unit. It had what I wanted--and with the Xross Media Bar, Ethernet port, 10-bit processing, 1080p/60hz, 24-frame cinema-mode, et al, it seemed ideal.
That said, I'm a very unhappy shopper when it comes to this unit.
There is a big white cloud in the center of what should be a very dark and very contrast-happy LCD screen in any shaded or gray to black sequences, and the digital sparkles I'm seeing on screen constantly, across all uses of all types of HDMI inputs from 1.0 to 1.3b cables (from low cost to crazy cost--and TiVo to deep color 60 Gig PS3) are killing the value of the digital inputs.
This series has a problem. I recommend that even should you want one--I'd wait to see a revision of the unit before purchase.
My KDL-40Z4100/B is not a good moment for Sony or for this Sony fan. Skip it.
- I've only had this tv for a week, but I haven't had any problem at all with a white cloud or sparkles. I think it's too expensive, but I also wanted many of the features that it offers and that I haven't seen from any other maker in this size and with a picture this realistic. I've had three Trinitrons over the years and quite a few other Sony products. Except for one experience with a telephone that only lasted a year, I've never had a problem. This is my first HDTV and I'm still working through trying out all of the features. I'll write more when I've had more experience with it.
- The 10-bit Z series 40" Sony LCDs are the absolute best. This TV sends XBR down a notch. Digital source material will jump out at you like never before. Gorgous color and contrast. The best yet.
1080i TV broadcast looks about 90% as good as Blu-ray on this panel. The delivery of non-HD DVD movies is wonderful and the picture using Blu Ray is absolutely stunning! (I rarely use the word "stunning")
Also, it's very future-proof with lots of (4) HDMI inputs and a LAN connection and USB. I've had the KDL 40Z4100 for about 2 weeks now and the ranking of picture quality goes as follows: Blu Ray (late release)movies, Digital HD television broadcast or HD digital cable, standard def (480 or 720) movies from a good quality "upscaling" player, and finally - standard def TV broadcast. The 120hz motion control and 24p pull-down work well on older standard def movies. My only advice is to not scrimp on the DVD player. You're going to see your old flicks look better than you have seen them...ever - with a good upscalling player.
Even video sources from my computer look near HD. I've connected my computers 8800GT graphics card's DVI out to the Sony's HDMI input and the look of some of my games is just as good, if not better, than my 22'' Samsung monitor.
This is Sony's best so far, in my humble opinion. Go for it!

- When I recieved this product, I immediately found that it did not work. I attempted to get it replaced and Toshiba refused to do that. I had to return it AT MY OWN EXPENSE. Worst customer service experience I have ever had!
- this is my great little kitchen tv! I love it! clarity of picture, sound are GREAT!
- I bought this Toshiba HD TV/DVD combo when my old (ten years) 15 inch Samsung failed. What a great TV this is! Absolutely spectacular picture, great sound, and Oh! such light weight. Plus, the price was superb and the shipping was two day air via FedEx.
I absolutely could not be happier with this purchase.
Rod in Seattle
- I purchased this product from an Amazon vendor a month ago. How does it work? I have no idea because it would not turn on when we got it out of the box. The power light went on and that it was it. We tried to operate the integrated DVD player and of course it accepted the DVD but would not eject it from the unit. We sent it to Toshiba customer service and they told us after a week that they could not repair it because a part was on back order so they would send us out a new unit. Fine, I thought. I called back a week later to find out that the unit was on back order and it would be another week before the units would come back in. I called today, ten days later, and they told me that the units have come in but my order inexplicably has not yet been shipped. I was told to call back in another week if I do not receive the TV in the interim. I have asked numerous times for a refund and Toshiba repeatedly has refused.
This has been one of the worst consumer buying experiences I have ever had. I usually buy Sony televisions but made an exception this time because I had specific space constraints and the footprint of this unit matched my needs. This is a mistake I will not repeat. Buy a product from Toshiba at your own peril.
- Got this television for my bedroom. The picture is perfect and the sound is great. Love the DVD player and the lit remote is great!!! I would definately recommend this to anyone!

3 comments about Sony Bravia Z-Series KDL-46Z4100/B 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black.
- I decide on the 46z4100S for the following reasons;
a) No glossy screen glare or bezel glare!
b) small bezel, allowing larger screen on wall space
c) 3" depth on "in-wall mount"
d) 1080P/120HZ/motion control
The Picture Quality is so crystal clear......... just great! Bright, vivid colors are awesome! There are so many features and very easy to set-up.
My wife loves the brushed metal and says, "it doesn't have glare, doesn't look like those 'black plastic' frames". She's candid(LOL) and loves the amazing PQ, when watching her baseball games.
I'm using an in-wall mount and the 3" depth makes it look like a picture on the wall. The "46Z" is perfect from a viewing distance of 9-11 ft. Friends all love it!
I'm still making the viewing adjustment from a 27"CRT floor console. My eyes do more tracking on this larger screen.
- I received the Sony kdl 46Z4100 and it worked great for 6 hours. The next evening I tried to turn it on and it was as dead as a doornail - no power no lights what-so-ever. Other devices plugged into the same power strip worked fine.
The Sony rep was no help. The in home service technician could not come for a week. When he finally came, he wanted me to pay for the service call per instructions from the "Authorized Sony Serice Contractor." The technician called the "Authorized Sony Service Contractor" but they were clueless. I later called the Sony customer service rep and he was apologetic (talk is cheap)- but my tv still wasnt getting fixed. So I am shipping it free of charge back to the vendor, Vanns, who has been great.
There are no Authorized Sony Repair Technicians in Montgomery Alabama (a city of 200,000) so one has to come out of Atlanta - 180 miles away.
It may be worth your while to find out where and who are the Authorized Repair Technicians in your area before you buy a Sony.
I enjoyed my six hours, but I can hardly recommend this experience to anyone.
- This TV is absolutely a dream to watch. No blurs. Watching golf or sporting events rocks!
I was not a big TV fan, but now I love watching all the details this TV presents.
One thing I really enjoy: Watching DVDs.
This TV autosenses when you are watching regular (non-blue-ray) DVDs and somehow enhances the picture.
My understanding is that it delivers the movie in true 24 frames per second.
I can hostly say I was blown away watching DVDs. For example, I watched "I am Legend" and it looked so realistic, it was shocking.
Can't wait to see how Blue-Ray will look.
There are clearly many features I am yet to explore, like the ability to store pictures in the TV.
Really awesome investment. Also very light and easy to move.

5 comments about Toshiba 19AV500U 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV Black.
- Good Tv ideal, clear image and good resolution its ideal for small spaces like kitchen, rooms, etc. a lot of function and good price and good brand.
- I ordered this TV to take advantage of the HDTV channels available over Comcast Cable in the San Francisco Bay area, without having to rent Comcast's pricey cable box. It fills the bill perfectly.
Using the default settings, the picture is sharp and contrasty. There's plenty of sound volume. The screen hardly reflects light at all, which is nice since we have a lot of windows. The Natural picture size setting chooses the proper picture width all the time. (I've never figured out why some people view everything in full width, even if it adds 50 pounds to all the people on the screen.)
I got a scare when first hooking it up. I ordered it only after a Comcast agent verified that with the built-in QAM tuner it would receive HDTV just by plugging the cable signal into the antenna/cable coax jack. But when first turned on, it only received analog signals. Calling Comcast back, I was told that I would need a $7/month cable box. Fortunately this turned out to be baloney. While my wife was channel-flipping, she started getting HDTV stations too, and now it shows every analog and digital channel, even on my non-digital cable service plan. My wife claims full credit for "fixing" it. I suspect it took a while to lock into some aspect of the cable service. Who knows.
So here's two recommendations: Double check everything Comcast tells you. And buy this TV.
(Oh - and also see the reviews for the 19AV500U - it's the identical model in black.)
- Arrived on time, intact and working well.
Replaced an old 19" CRT clunker on which the remote was no longer functioning.
- I bought this Toshiba back in May & I am still very pleased with it. I have two other Toshiba sets and I have never had a minutes problem with them. This TV has a clean high contrast picture and the sound is not bad for a set this size. I like it well enough to give it 5 stars.

- This Sony really stands out. I don't think you can find another brand with a better picture in a 40". I hooked to a regualar cable box and I'm recieving beautiful HD channels with great clarity. I wish I had bought one sooner. I highly recommend this TV
- Since we live so close to Mt. Wilson where the major stations have broadcast antennas we thought we would try it with a basic Terk rabbit ear antenna and it is just amazing! Gets over 60 digital channels and even the on-air program guide works to give us a list of what is available at listed hours. Set up was a snap and the clarity is stunning. Sound is very good. Our friends who have cable or satellite don't believe that we get this sort of reception and so many channels without paying a monthly charge. This is our 1st 1080p set and we don't have a blu-ray player yet but that will be next. Wonderful TV set. Highly recommend it.
- After doing the research, we decided on this tv because it fit the bill with the 120 refresh rate, the latest technology with 1080p, etc. It arrived this morning and after maybe 10 minutes of careful unpacking and attaching the pedestal to the screen it was up and running.
Our jaws were on the floor at how amazingly beautiful it is. The clarity is stunning and 40 inches turned out to be a good size. Its big enough to appreciate the big game or a blu-ray movie, but not so ostentatious that you can't use it everday for the news and regular programming.
We did some shopping around first and Best Buy as of 6/30/08 wanted $1899 for this tv, oh and don't forget to add tax which is 9% here. All said and done we saved close to $400 by purchasing it on Amazon which makes it seem like we got the Playstation 3 that we also ordered for free.
All said and done, it is showstopping even when it isn't on. The EnergyStar endorsement is a bonus also considering that larger tvs are notorious energy consumers.
About The Seller: OneCall
With a large purchase such as this, I was a little reluctant to buy a tv over the internet. The price couldn't be beat though.
Within 12 hours I had an email from their company notifying me of their shipping policies and within 24 hours another email with detailed tracking information. All of this was also followed up by a personal phone call from a company representative that kept me in the loop. My tv was shipped by ABF based on a scheduled appointment that was set up ahead of time. OneCall encourages you to call your motor freight company that they assign if they don't call you first.
Ok, key things to know about my shipping experience with this tv-
- Again, tv was shipped by motor freight for CURBSIDE delivery. Meaning that he lowered it to the curb and my husband and I carried it into the house. It wasn't heavy at all, but needed two people because of the size of the box.
- Company would only accept return of the tv in the event that it was damaged during shipping. When you sign off on the bill of lading, you are instructed beforehand in the emails to note any scuffs, dents or otheriwse damage to the original packing. There was nothing wrong with my television even though there were a few small scuffs on the box and they were noted.
- The tv box came equipped with ShockWatch stickers that were to turn red if the box had been impacted or was mishandled, dropped etc. The stickers were clear on my box, so they took good care of it from the time of shipping to arrival at my curb.
All in all the service was great, the tv works and looks fantastic and I highly reccomend both.
- Okay I really have no idea about these sort of things. I had to do a little research before spend that much money on a TV. I asked my very knowledgeable brother who recommended this as one of 15 TVs to look at. I went to Best Buys to see some of the models in action and liked the quality of this model but it was not what I wanted to spend and they would not price match off of a website. So I went to Amazon and found a great deal and free shipping from OneCall. Not to mention that OneCall was fast and easy to deal with. I could not tell you the specs of this TV but the picture and sound are (wait for it) awesome. I put in the Matrix after a relatively easy set up just to see, and there was no picture blurring the 120hz (okay this is one of two specs that I know) made a huge difference. It is a good looking TV, its nice to have a good picture along with something aesthetically pleasing (can't help it I'm an art student) and the picture is AMAZING for movies.I know after ready SO many reviews that Sony is not know for its Black quality, if that is really important yo may not want to get this TV but I really can not tell unless there was a plasma TV next to it. I do not have HD cable but the picture is pretty darn good. I think I may have to step it up and get HD now. I have always loved Sony so glad this is no exception. -The Handy Dandy Girl
- Was tempted to pay another 25% for the X series but resisted the temptation. Very happy with the W series.
