- This TV is awesome! Recently bought this TV to replace my 24" CRT and I am amazed at the quality. Not only does it display TV and DVD's with great picture quality, but it looks amazing with an Xbox 360. The TV has many options to change the ratio of the TV to match what program you are watching (16:9, Horizon, Set by Program, etc...). I would definitely recommend the TV for your next HD purchase. For a price around $1000, you can't find a better price for the size and quality this TV will give you. 5 stars!

- Ours also has great picture and sound, but ours also stopped playing any DVD's whatsoever within a few months of purchase. Unplugging it as the support dudes suggested seemed to make the problem worse. It would be fine if we were just using it as a TV, but we bought it specifically to watch DVD's on, which isn't so great for us.
- This TV is beautiful. Out of the box and set up in 10 minutes. Beautiful
crisp clear Picture. DVD player is easy to use, like the fact that there are no extra wires and boxes to store, easy access where DVD input is located. Everyone that sees this TV is very impressed with the clarity of the picture and the quality of the sound.
- We bought this TV for our bedroom and hung it on the wall. This eliminated a whole lot of wires and the TV stand. The quality of picture, sound, and convenience of a built in DVD player makes this an excellent choice. The only downfall I have found so far is that our Dish Network functions don't seem to work on the Toshiba remote after programming it making it necessary to use 2 remotes, but I can deal with that and would highly recommend this TV.
- I bought this HDTV in late March and am very happy so far. The upconverting DVD player makes commercial DVDs look like High Definition discs. The built-in ATSC tuner brings in crystal-clear high def reception for free in New York City, and I only use a 99-cent rabbit ears antenna! Setup was simple and fast. There's also a built-in QAM and NTSC tuner, which you don't usually find in today's HDTV sets. If I could make a change, it would be to add an OSD (on-screen display) button to the remote. Also, for some reason I don't get reception for ION TV with this set (weak signal display), however, I receive this channel easily through my computer with an ATSC USB tuner I had bought prior to this purchase. The stereo speakers sound great, and they are placed on the bottom of the set instead of the sides, which enabled me to use my old entertainment unit to house it (I cut out an opening on the side to access the DVD player). A salesman had told me that the built-in DVD player eventually causes a discoloration on the screen due to heat emanation, and I don't know if this will indeed actually happen with time. All in all, I highly recommend this product!
- The picture and features of this TV are great. The built in DVD works fine and is handy, especially if you want to cut down on wires, etc. However, I failed to note that there is no picture-in-picture capability when I bought it and am quite bummed that it is lacking.

- I love this TV. Period. I paid $3,499 for it at a franchise electronics store; it was delivered four days later; and now I can't wait to get home from work every night and watch it. Watching a high quality DVD through one of the two HD inputs is an awesome experience.
At the store, I looked at it next to a Mitsubishi 65" CRT and a Samsung 55" plasma. It annihilated the CRT and held its own with the plasma (for about half the price of the plasma). That is what sold me.
It has just the right number of inputs for my AV system. The picture quality for HD input is incredible. For SD inputs, it is so-so, but that is mostly the lower quality signal.
It is also a great looking cabinet.
I had read that Sony had some problems with the model's lamp blowing out earlier this year, but I understood that was fixed; so I took a chance. My unit has a June 2004 manufacturing date, and I have had it about a week now. No problems; just a beautiful picture at a very affordable price.
- I've had mine since last May and I love it. I just had the picture calibrate and it's even greater I didn't think it was possible but it's absolutly the best picture you could possibly get in HD AND DVD I've always been a Mits. tv owner but I'm glad I went with this SONY model. [...]. You wouln't belive how it looks after he is done. WOW is all I can really say. I also have the HR10-250 HD TIVO and I can watch all recorded shows in HD and you can't even tell they are recorded they look just like your watching a live show instead of having that taped look. Well when I seen this board I had to write because I wouln't be doing all of you a favor by giving you a heads up on this TV I also looked and searched before I bought this. I wanna say that if you are going to spend thousands of dollars on any HDTV you should spend the extra 400 to 500 dollars to have it ISF CALIBRATE I didn't know this man at all but he had some great reviews on HDTVoice.com he travels all over the country so you have to set up an appointment. Again to anyone who has or is gonna buy a HDTV you should put into your budget the cost to get it calibrate it makes such a difference. WELL ENJOY I WATCH EVERYTHING IN HIGH DEF NOW AND IT'S GREAT SO I HOPE AND WISH ALL OF YOU WELL ON YOUR JORNEY TO YOUR NEW WORLD OF TV WATCHING IN HIGH DEF. [...]
- We bought this television in Jan. 04 and have never had any problems with it. The picture is outstanding and no problems with the sound. We have hdtv cable so maybe that helps. I hope by writing this review I don't jinx myself. I would buy this t.v. again. Don't let the negative reviews bother you---we are quite happy.
- My Sony Vega 60 inch operated for only ten months when the screen went black. It appears to be the lamp b/c the lamp light is blinking. Sony has said it is NOT going to honor the warranty, even though the tv operated for only ten months, b/c the warranty takes effect from the date of purchase, not the date of install. I called 3 days out of the warranty. So even though I can prove the tv was still in the box at the store, I have to pay myself this expense. No TV that costs this much should operate only ten months. SONY YOU SUCK.
- This TV is the best! Haven't had a problem yet. We just bought this Tv for $500 from a friend because it was too big for his house. We love it!
