  1. After ordering and receiving this product I was a little disappointed at the lack of 120hz and some other info that amazon gave that was false.
I thought about returning it and going with the LN32A550, but I decided against it and kept the 650.

This T.V. has expectational picture quality on HD channels, but the regular SD look a little grainy, but what T.V. isn't like that?

Xbox 360 via HDMI looks amazing, just wish I could have had that 120hz.

I also plug my Dell XPS M1330 laptop in via HDMI and surf the internet in full HD glory :)

Great T.V. even if I had my hopes up for more with the advertising Amazon did.

    Would recommend. :)

  2. Samsung...
The ln32a650 is a fantastic TV. Nice sharp Picture, Good sound. easy to setup and use.

    Amazon...
The customer service is very poor. Did not want to honor price guarantee.

    CEVA... (shipping, Amazons choice)
Terrible! TV sat on dock in Reno for 4 days, LAX for 6 days, CEVA promised arrival on 05/09/08 shipment arrived 05/14/08.

I suggest you not do business with Amazon until thsy address some of these issues.

  3. This is our first LCD HDTV. We have Verizon FiOS cable and the pictures are great! The sound is wonderful too. We were very happy with the delivery by Amazon and the gentleman who delivered it. Dave Gregory.

  1. This television replaced an old 9-inch model in my kitchen so the upgrade has been a dramatic improvement. Even on its own merits, this TV is a great performer for a smaller space. Ours is connected to a FIOS box, not HD, however. Still, the digital image is crisp and easy to watch. The sound is excellent as well. No complaints whatsoever.

My son has a slightly older Samsung 32-inch used for playing x-box and watching tv. He does have the high-def converter box and the HD pic is awesome. You can see the razor stubble on baseball players' cheeks, blades of grass on the ballfield, etc. We bought the smaller Samsung for the kitchen because we were so impressed with the bigger one in my son's room. The Samsung TV family has been impressive.

I slightly wish I had gotten the white model as it seems more "kitcheny" but the converter box is black plus a black surround makes the "letterboxing" less obvious since the black screen borders merge into the black of the television itself. We generally set the pic to a 4:3 ratio as that seems to match the majority of the non-HD television shows we watch. Oh yes, the remote makes it easy to set the picture ratio. You don't have to enter the menu itself. Just click. A great TV!

  2. Purchased this Samsung for my Kitchen. The size of the TV is great ! the white color is even better. The picture and sound quality are wonderful. I highly recommend this HDTV.

  3. This TV is amazing! My previous college roommate had the 40-inch version of this TV where it was prominently displayed in our living room, and we loved it. Now he's graduated and he took the TV with him (he paid for it). Anyhow, my other roommate and I split the coast of a flat screen box TV and it was a PAIN to move around, and it was poor quality. I got fed up and decided to toss that giant monster and got this beauty. The quality is beyond great. It's light, easy to assemble, and takes up little space.

    Buy it.

  4. Bought this 19" Samsung for use in the kitchen and Camper Trailer. It works great for both of those situations. Was 60miles from St.Louis and picked up all HD and digital signal with no problem while camping in a state park. I know that is not camping, but I like to watch the news during the evening!

I havent tried this but read where another reviewer could receive HD signals from cable out of the wall with no receiver box, if that is true that is a bonus.

The pictures quality comes supprisingly close to my 46 inch Sony XBR 4 which is suppose to be one of the best TV's out there.

Speakers are not hi-fi but adaquate, and allow for the very compact and light design.

Overall this is very good televison which is priced very attractively at verious sellers.

  5. While this tv does have good color and a clear picture, I tend o find that it crushes blacks in dark scenes. You lose a lot of shadow details. Generally speaking, the set is simply too dark. I have the back light set at 7. If I turn it up all the way, the top and bottom of the screen start to bleed white light. Even with the back light turned all the way up, it is still too dark for my tastes. My new 65 inch DLP has a much brighter picture. Also the sound is mediocre. That is nothing new for small lcd tvs.
Since the exterior color was as important as the picture in this application, I will keep it.

  1. This a great TV set. I am glad I went with this over LCD. No degredation in the picture at all from a wide angle; even the best LCDs cannot match that. It's just like a regular CRT TV set but much sharper and bigger; which means it's nothing like a regular CRT TV set. It will blow you away. The picture quality is great even on non HD channels. All digital channels looked great both Standard and High def. Analog channels were not good but that may be because I have bad signal. I had a lot of "snow" in the background. The delivery was fast enough (matched the estimated date 7 business days). They came in and plugged it in. It turned on and they were gone; not great but functional.
Bottom line, this is one of the best deals for the money. Go with LCD only if your TV will double as a PC monitor on regular basis and you want to save a litle energy. Plasma screens run hotter and use more power. This one gets warm but still tolerable. There are 3 small PC style fans on the back. In any other way Plasma rules the picture quality department. It's brighter, just as good on sharpness and provides better contrast and a much wider viewing angles than the best LCDs out there and does all that for comparably less money for the same screen size, and this one is one of the best plamas out there and the best deals. Panasonic has good thing going here. I would definately recommend it.

  2. I'm not an audio or video expert, just your average joe who appreciates a great television experience. I've been pining for an HDTV for several years, tried to be patient until the quality increased and the prices decreased. This year I started doing some research and settled on this particular TV. I was astounded by the price difference between Amazon and the box stores, but was hesitant to make such a serious purchase over the internet, but it was simply an offer I couldn't refuse. I placed the order on a Monday morning, received a call on Friday afternoon that the TV was ready to be delivered, and it came on Saturday morning. The delivery guys brought it in and opened it up. A friend and I bolted it to the stand, plugged it in and connected the cable. Nothing to it.

I was amazed at the quality with just the regular cable signal. It would be a few days before the cable company could bring an HD box, but man, when we got that connected -- I ordered an HDMI cable at the same time so they brought me an HDMI HD converter -- and it was love at first view! The cable guy said he does this all day long and he didn't think he'd seen a better picture. I subscribe to all the premium movie channels and sports channels, so all of that in HD is just overwhelming. At times, it honestly looks like a 3D image.

I'm toying with the idea of one of these upconverting DVD players. A clerk at Radio Shack told me he got one and that it did make quite a difference in picture quality with an HDTV and an HDMI connection, so at some point I may spring for that while waiting for the BluRay players to come down in price.

Anyway, I couldn't be more pleased with the product and the service and price from Amazon.

If you're in the market for a plasma TV, definitely give this one a look!

  3. I ordered this TV 1 week ago today and am already watching it. I am 100% satisfied with the delivery service, the TV, and its price! I had to make one phone call to the 888 # given while setting it up. The woman I talked to at that # was extremely knowledgeable and my problem was taken care of in 5 minutes. I would recommend this TV at this price to anyone I know.

  4. Excellent product. Very happy with it in every way. Stable stand - no need to purchase a separate stand.

  5. I have always been very reluctant about plasma tvs but after reading about and reserching the newest models from Panasonic and the upgraded technology I became a believer. The picture on this tv is really incredible. Great contrast and color with amazing blacks. Love the game mode which now enables you to to safely play your video games. With the anti image retention setting I feel much safer about the chance of screen burn. The new antireflective screen does a great job cutting down the amount of glare and relection. The only thing I am not crazy about is the sound quality. I find it to be on the weak side but it is not a big issue since I have the TV hooked up to my stereo system. All in all I highy recommend this set for its quality and performance.

  1. I ordered this from the Panasonic EPP. I had it for about a week so far and I'm very satisfied. This is my first LCD TV and it met all my expectations. The interface and manual is simple to understand and use. I have it hook up directly to cable and both SD and HD channels look great. Picture quality- excellent (within recommended viewing angle). Some subtle things I like are the gloss black finish, low power consumption, above average speakers (and sleek design), and the remote which has a great fit and feel. I totally recommend this product for anyone in the market for a 26" LCD tv.

  2. I love this. I looked at a 40 inch and this and this had far better picture quality and sound. I mainly wanted this for video games and it was great with movies too. It also paid to have Amazon Prime, because I saved a fortune with the free shipping.

  3. This was the perfect choice for the in law unit. Mounted on the wall it looks great, and the picture is crisp.

  4. I spent two months shopping for a new HDTV. Checked out all the top ones. Decided on a Samsung, then saw the new Panasonic 26LX85. It blew me away with the picture and features. Went back three times to different sellers, and it always caught my eye.

Just received it two days ago. Absolutely made the right decision. Get it before it becomes the top seller it really will be. Lots of features, no pc hookup(get 32") and 10K dynamic. Check it out. Panasonic you made a great viewing experience for me!!!

  5. Excellent quality for its price category, especially given that it was on sale when I bought it. Very high quality image and the speaker sound is about as good as internal speakers get; given that these were my two main qualifications for it, I am well satisfied. Easy to set up as well. My sole small irritation stems from the manual, which could have been easier to read, but all in all an excellent buy.

  1. This TV is awsome you cant find a better deal for 2k I almost bought a mitsubishi 72inch that would have been a huge mistake this thing has an incredible picture and if you are a gamer you wont believe your eyes If you own a x-box 360 make sure you set it to 1080 an prepare to get blown away. But the sound quality from the box blows I highly recomend a surround system and a hormony 880 universal remote.

  2. Had this set for 2 days and still evaluating. All looks wonderful, clear, bright, etc. The remote is the sexiest thing I have ever seen. I love the slim 16" depth which makes 67" very livable. From the moment you turn this tv on for the first time, the Samsung takes your hand and helps you set up your connections and stations. My wife loves it. The only thing I would have wished for, and thought I was getting was: 120mhz Smooth Vision. Otherwize, the menues are thoughtfully laid out and it's a totally polished and mature product. Hope this helps.

  3. Don't buy SAMSUNG! They don't accept return if you have any problem!

I bought 50" DLP Samsung TV on 03/31/2008 from Buy.com. At that time, Buy.com said "return directly to manufacturer" policy. Two weeks ago, the TV had big problem: the voice volume always staying at 0, and so many function doesn't work, for example, you can't change from TV channel to DVD; power couldn't be turn off by remote. I called SAMsung customer service, they said they can only fix it and I can't return it. How could I know the policy before I get the manual? I called the repair department. One guy said he need order one part. Another week passed, no any information.

My family already no TV for two weeks. It is unfair to me. I need a new TV, while after repair it is a refurbished TV and will be out of one year warrenty.

If I buy the TV from Costco, bestbuy CC, I can return it easily.

I already filed complaint to BBB.

  4. It replaces a 55"CRT RP Mitsubishi that I purchased in March of 2002 with an extended warranty from Sears it started rolling and after 3 new boards and 4 efforts to repair it they offered me up to 2K toward any TV that Sears sells. So I went online and found the Samsung for $2499 so I called the repair center and said I wanted it they called me the next day and said it would cost me $375since Sears had reduced it to $2375 so I gave her my credit card number and Sears delivered it the next day. They brought it in and took out my old one it took me about two hours and it was up and running with the factory settings and looks fabulous. The only problem was I had to go out a buy a TV stand which ran another $300, when I found I could not get the box out of my car called my son and told him my problem, he said OH NO you bought a projection, you should have got a LCD, but he did come over and help his stupid father take the table upstairs and put it together. He then said lets take a look at what you bought, he could not believe his eyes, and he said that is much better than my 50" Toshiba Plasma set. So I have only had it for a day and have not looked at the manual, but I have not found one flaw so far. I only have a Comcast HD set top box; a TivoHD and DVD player hooked up to it but all 3 have great pictures.

  5. My TV arrived several days ahead of the anticipated delivery date. Delivery truck had two people and they did an excellent job bringing the TV into the house, unpacking it and setting it on the stand and then making sure it powered up. They suggested that I keep the box just in case I needed to return the TV in the next few weeks.

I am very pleased with this television. I had read on some web forums about people having issues with bowing or the display being tilted but mine is fine and doesn't show either of those issues. This is my first HD tv and I am replacing a 61" Philips projection TV that had served me well since 1999 so getting another projection TV was not anything that I was concerned about. You get a lot of screen for less money than plasma or LCD. The difference in picture quality between the two is like night and day. The new Samsung's hi-def pictures are amazing. I have standard definition satellite and even that looks better to me than on the older Philips tv. I do not have a Blu-ray player but did buy an upconverting DVD player to play my 100+ collection of DVD's and the picture looks so much better than playing them through a standard DVD player that I can only imagine how things will look when I finally get a Blu-ray player.
Overall, I would give this TV 5-stars.

  1. After researching digital TV's for a little over a month, I narrowed it down to Samsung LCD and Panasonic Plasma. Two things made me choose the Panasonic TH-50PX80U, better sound and price. I thought the pictures were comparable, although the viewing angles on the plasma set are much better. The set does experience some reflection, but not enough to disturb me. I am using an external antenna(no cable or satellite)and the HD picture is astounding(actually canceled cable). A little searching on the web can get you this set at 20% off including white glove delivery. In my opinion, it's the best 50" value on the market.

  2. I've had this set for 2 weeks now and I am very happy with it. The picture and sound are great. My family and I have been playing the xbox360 on it for 2 weeks straight now and I can tell you the burn in problems are a thing of the past. And gaming is where this T.V. really shines which is good because of the lack of real HD programing being broadcasted. You can just stop playing a marvel at the graphics and textures of the picture. The only thing that really bothers me is the very very poor layout of the remote control. Why would they put the last ch recall button all the way on the bottom left side of the remote? Thats just one example because the whole remote is laid out very poorly.

  3. I was initially was going to get a 42" or 46" 1080p tv, but after a couple tv returns I decided to go for the bigger set, even if it was "only" 768p (720p), and I am extremely happy I did. I watch blu-ray, hd cable, and xbox 360 and PS3 from 9 feet away and don't notice the detail difference between 1080p and 720p at my viewing distance. I was also worried about green fringing while gaming but it turns out this really isn't an issue at all (only notice it once in a blue moon, and it doesn't bother me at all), so for anyone who's heard of fringing, don't worry about it. The blacks and shading are top in it's class; if you need absolute black go for a Pioneer or the pz85u, but for a modestly priced set you won't get better blacks. The colors are great too; the most accurate mode with no video noise is "cinema". My settings are as follows: Picture: 85, Brightness: 49, Color: 39, Tint: +1, Sharpness 50, Color Management: Off, Black Level: light, Video NR: off, MPEG NR: off, Picture Mode: warm. Highly recommend this tv.

  4. My previous TV was a 20 year old 30" Toshiba CRT; like so many previous reviewers, this is my first HDTV. All I can say is "WOW"! My DVD player is a 5 yr. old Pioneer Elite DV-47Ai, running 480i via component; and this is the best my DVD collection has ever looked. And as good as DVD is, the 7 HD channels I get through basic/classic cable (local HD channels) look phenominal! My next purchases will definitely be a PS3 for Blu-ray movies/HD games, and the Xbox 360. Kudos also to Eagle Shipping, whose deliveryman was a great help with unpacking/setup. Very highly recommended!

  5. We put a home theater in our basement and had all the components in place except one... the TV. We researched online, then went to the stores to see them in person, back to online, talking to friends and acquaintances until we were nearly dizzy. The one thing that kept coming up was Panasonic for plasma. Everyone was on the same page-Panasonic.

We love this TV! The picture is amazing and the control is easy. We haven't played with calabrating it too much but who needs to? We got a PS3 to watch Blu-Rays and each time we put one in, we are blown away. The details and the textures are so beyond amazing! We didn't shell out the bucks for a 1080 and don't regret it for a minute. We are constantly asking ourselves "how could it look any better?".

This was my first big ticket item bought online and I was really nervous about it but I have to say Amazon didn't disappoint. The White Glove service was great. He set it up and made sure everything worked before he left, checked it all over for any damage well beyond the normal delivery. I even got a price adjustment when the price dropped $111 about 3 weeks after I bought mine. We couldn't be more pleased! I would recommend buying this awesome TV from Amazon (amazing customer service!) to anyone and everyone!

  1. Samsung PN42A450 42-inch 720p Plasma HDTV
the 42" and 50" 450's are basically identical with the caveat that the posterization is easier to perceive on the 50" version, so the reviews there and elsewhere apply to this model (IMO).

  2. I did a lot of research before buying this product, including reviews on CNET and pricing trends. I also researched how much difference there would be between the 720p and the 1080p. Since programs are not shown in 1080p and won't be for a couple of years, that was not an issue. If you are not a blu-ray disc dvd owner, it also is not an issue. For me, having this as my first upgrade to a regular TV, I was blown away. The TV arrived in 4 days even though Amazon stated approx. 10 days. The TV was packaged well. As this 50" was going in my bedroom that has an ajacent wall that is entirely window (approx 10 ft X 8 ft) I was greatly concerned about the glare since I have no curtains of any type. Well the anti glare coating is perfect and I can watch TV any time of day with no problems. The colors are great and there are a lot of adjustments that can be made. Best Buy offers to go out and calibrate the TV for approx. $350. Save your money and do it yourself. You can spend as much time needed to tweak it as you spend more time in deciding what looks best for your taste. Definately need to have the cable box for Hi-Def or you are wasting your money on the TV. The Hi-Def colors and clarity are incredible. So I couldn't be any happier with my choice of TV and when I am ready for another 50" for the living room, I will buy the same TV or the 1080p if the price comes down more at year end. I highly recommend this TV

  3. We have searched high and low for the best tv we could find that would fit our budget. We wanted a brand we could trust. That is why we went with this tv. Packaging was great shipping was great. But the family was blown away with the first movie we watched on it (National Treasure2) We now all fight to who gets to use it.Set up was a breeze. We also use it for gaming. When we play 4 player games it is like watching a 4 seperate 20 inch screens.

  4. I did alot of research on Plasma's on LCD TV's. I always felt plasma's look slightly better plus they were cheaper. I was worried about some of the horror stories i read on plasmas. Anyway i've had this TV for 2 months now. This what i think of it so far...
    Pros:
Antiglare screen (does a good job even though my tv is in a bad spot)
Picture- Very sharp looking with HD signals(Blue-ray and Cable HD
Non-HD channels lookg pretty good too.
Multiple Anti-Burn in tools- easy to use
    Price

    Cons:
Burn-in happens pretty fast. If something is on your screen for more then 15 mins it will get burned in.(But you can only see it on VERY light colors)
Speakers kinda suck.(Most people who get this size tv get some kind audio system too though)

Even though this is probably just my bad luck but one of my pixels became stuck in blue. Hopefully it will be the only one.

  5. I was at first very pleased with this set. Great picture, great delivery from Amazon.

But then I began noticing 'burn-in' issues. The first I noticed was two vertical stripes, both about 5 inches in from the sides. Then I noticed that CNNHD was also burned in, even though I don't leave it on there for long periods of time. I also have the burn-in protection set, and I've run both the suggested fixes (all white and scrolling) with neither helping.

Contacted Samsung and they agreed that it shouldn't be happening. Currently waiting for local repair shop set up by Samsung to attempt a fix.

  1. This TV has an unbelievable picture and is a steal at this price under $5000. This is a 2007 model and the 2008 version goes for $8000 as did this model last year

  2. We've just received the unit (safely intact) with no dead or stuck pixels. The TV immediately discovered my satellite and my PS3 (after using the first HDMI input). There is an "auto" HDMI port (Input 7) that didn't like the PS3, but I haven't read the manual to see what the auto label means. We tried both Hellboy and PotC: Dead Man's Chest and they look absolutely stunning.

The TV is immense! I'd suggest that you sit no closer than 8 feet or you will notice the pixels. The remote is easy to use and back-lit. The only negative that isn't really mentioned anywhere is that the TV uses HDMI 1.2a instead of the current 1.3x. However, nothing is available that takes advantage of the new HDMI standard and it will probably be many years before it will be widely used.

I've also read that it's not quite as "fast" even with its 120Hz/4 ms rating. Not being a serious audio/video person, I haven't noticed any difference between my old 42" Plasma and this LCD in terms of display speed, so I haven't seen any indication of this. I've also played a few PS3 games and didn't notice any refresh issues. By the way, if you think movies look incredible on this LCD, you really need to see a computer/console game. Amazing!

Overall, this is really an excellent deal and should not be missed. I was initially worried about purchasing such a large item over the Internet, but Amazon has always delivered without problems. If you were thinking about a large DLP to get that "movie experience", I'd really consider this LCD instead as it is brighter, clearer, easy to move, and takes up less room. So, buy it already!

  1. i am extremely impressed with this tv. the only downside is that the picture is a little dark, but it is an easy fix by adjusting the contrast ratio or brightness. great tv. great picture. great sound. love it. would recommend it to anyone.

  2. It is a nice TV/Monitor what ever your purpose be. But I got it with the intent of using it as a computer monitor. I was excited as I took it out of the box but that excitement soon dwindled as I sought to use my higher resolutions and the TV was not able to do so. I am a graphics student so I wanted to use this screen to get as much screen real-estate as possible but I was a bit disappointed in that department. The screen goes up to some higher resolutions but not past the 1200 mark. And I wanted to use it at 1800+. So, if you have the same intent buy another screen as I am doing or get a video to HDMI converter and see how that treats you. Aside from that the screen is nice. The speakers are okay but there are far better speakers on lower end screens. Just something to keep in mind. All in all it is a really nice screen and looks gorgeous. If i ever get a flat screen TV it will probably be this one. So you decide. Happy shopping :)

  3. I received my television faster then expected, and was very happy with the results. Picture quality is astounding through HDMI, like looking out a glass window. Although my DVD player has 720p output and the Sharp television can except as high as 1080p, I found transitioning my television to 720p left the image grainer than if I just left it at 480p. Of course, once I make the purchase of a Blue-ray player I doubt I'll find myself using anything less than 1080p, even if they say you can't tell the difference.
Sound quality is okay, it lacks a certain robust impression, you won't be feeling the explosions or anything, but the dialouge comes through and soundtracks eminate clearly enough.
Because I don't have HD cable or satellite, it was of no great concern to me when making the purchase that regular television would be my bread and butter in terms of it's use. I found images to be acceptable, and made of few adjustment to contrast and color till I was satisfied. All in all, this being my first HD television, so far so good.

  4. Well I Got this tv within 4 days of purchase i ordered it Sunday and got it Thursday it has great piture quality and vivid colors and it also works great as a pc monitor my video games look amazing and it was great investment for this tv so anyone looking for a good buy on a tv buy this one

  5. The set I received is a total lemon. It worked OK for about 10 days, and then various functions just stopped working, one after another.

I am returning the set to Amazon for a refund. I don't want a replacement and I don't want it fixed - I just don't trust any set that would cr@p out like this after only 10 days. I won't buy another Sharp set either.

When this happened, I looked on the Sharp website and they don't even list this model as being for sale anymore there. So maybe it's a discontinued item? Wish I had known that before I bought it from Amazon.

I've been an Amazon customer since about Day One and have always been pleased with their service and willingness to take back items that are defective.

I was not very pleased with the so-called "white glove" delivery service though, and I will have to send it back through the same freight people, so that's a drag. It would be much easier to send it back by UPS and the box is not too big, but Amazon says no, I have to wait to be contacted by the freight company again and then they will come back and get it.

I love Amazon and I love my UPS guy, but this "white glove" business I do not care for and I will never order anything from Amazon again that has to be delivered that way.

5 comments about Samsung PN58A550 58-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV.
  1. The TV itself is wonderful. Picture and color is good and I have also purchased the Samsung HT-Z515 to match the sound. With the HTS, the sound is alot better. Just the TV itself, the sound may be a little weak.
I've to mention that Eagle did a good delievry Job. Three Guy come and take care of the setup for me in 10 mintues.
I read a lot of review on how to take care of the Plasma burn-in problem. I followed the 100 hrs rule(Actually, I turned the TV on for more than 10 hours a day for 13 days with most of time just watching movie channels that without any statics logo) So far, I don't realize there is any problem.
A Plus for Amazon is that the TV price dropped twice within 30 days. And I did call and get refund for the difference! (within 30 days). I like that!

  2. I did extensive research on 50" and bigger plasma TV's. Based on my research I decided on Samsung. I ordered this 58" Samsung Plasma from Amazon because the pricing was more than $300 less than the least expensive local source, and included free shipping. This is a big heavy TV and I wasn't sure how I was going to pick it up if I bought it locally. The TV was delivered yesterday, a day earlier than originally estimated. The delivery service brought the TV in, unpackaged it, did a basic set up, and tested it to make sure it worked. The delivery guys were very careful and knew what they were doing. They offered to take the packaging away but I chose to hang on to it. I'm connected to cable with an HDMI connection and the picture on this TV is outstanding. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

  3. the price was great the service was great and the delivery was fast. no complaints here.

  4. I've had the PN58A550 FOR about a month now and overall I am very pleased.

    Positive:
The value is very good on this TV. The picture quality is great. Setup option are more extenisive than most TV's. You can really dial in everything about the picture using regular menus. The overall finish on the TV is really nice. It has a piano gloss finish on the frame and stand that look really sharp. Samsung TV's used to have some of the worst menus ever but the one on this TV is really very good and intuative.

    Negatives:
    1) There are no S-Video or Composite connections on the back of the TV. There are 1 of each on the left side of the TV.
    2) The picture "zoom" feature is just stupid. Sometimes when movies are letterboxed I like to zoom in and not see so much of the top&bottom bars. On the Samsung zoom doesn't zoom, it stretches the picture vertically so everything looks a little too tall.
    3) The screen is pretty reflective. Other plasmas do a better job of cutting the glare.

Overall I'm really pleased with my purchase and would certainly do it again.
