1. By looking at pictures, I thought these stands had a red tint to them. But the a purely black, which is not noted in description. The other thing not noted is that there is some assembly required. Usually not a big deal and there aren't too many parts. BUT in this case the holes don't line up well (yes I'm assembling correctly). So assembly has become rather difficult and has lead to some scratches. It's a fairly nice looking stand, but with the experience I've had, I would've shopped further. Note that there are several sellers of this item on Amazon, I unfortunately chose the most expensive of the two (noticed this later of course).



2. I chose these stands for their height, curved appearance, and because the top plates were relatively larger than competitive models. The big problem, however, is that the stands are unstable because their bases are too small and unfortunately, these stands can't be loaded with sand or buckshot to improve the stability. If you have hardwood floors and zero foot traffic near your speakers, you might be OK, but anyone else with stability concerns should think twice before buying these.
   
   These stands do require assembly but they're easy to put together. I didn't have any of the assembly difficulties that the first reviewer described.

1. This is a very nice cabinet. the oak finish is first rate and matches my decor.
   Expect a lot of assembly. I spent the most part of a afternoon assembling this unit. Actually you need 2 people for some of the steps involved. This is a heavy piece of furniture



2. Beautiful looking TV stand - well built. Overall,construction was easy (couple of areas required some extra thought process). Very glad this was the one I purchased.

1. No surprises -- works great for satellite speakers. Note the 7 pound recommended maximum speaker weight. Package came with all the necessary parts and setup was a breeze. Nice that it comes with two types of mounting brackets: flat plate and L-shape. Only reasons these stands don't get 5 stars are that the shaft will only fit high gauge / low thickness wire, and I'm not a total fan of the adjustable mechanism that maintains the height even though it works fine. Again, they'll work great as long as your speakers are small satellites.



2. Product is much more flimsy and shorter than I imagined. Serves its purpose. Overall, a fair product, but a little pricey for what you get.
