1. I purchased this TV cart and had to call Home Decorators because I couldn't assemble it. There were no instructions included. They said I could download the instructions from the web, so I did. There were no words, only tiny, badly drawn pictures. From what I could tell, it looked like the holes were drilled in the wrong place on the top shelf. I called customer service again and they sent me another shelf which had the same problem. I called customer service again and said "maybe I'm doing something wrong, is there someone who can explain the assembly to me?" The customer service person said she didn't want to ask any of the "warehouse guys" for help because they're sarcastic and make fun of her. I called the customer service supervisor to complain. The supervisor went ahead and asked someone in the warehouse to help me. He said to put the rest of the cart together and screw the troublesome shelf on last. I said "how is that going to make a difference? it isn't going to change the position of the holes" But I did what he said and of course, it didn't make a difference. So, I called customer service again. She said maybe it was a defective batch of carts sent to Home Decorators from the manufacturer in Taiwan.
   My boyfriend used the power drill to screw the shelf onto the legs, he made new holes with the drill, so the cart got assembled but. It didn't come out all that great because the wood is cheap and (now) has too many holes in it so its wobbly. I decided it wasn't worth it to send it back at this point, I'm just going find another cart elsewhere that doesn't need assembly.
   I will never buy from Home Decorators ever again. This was the most frustrating experience with mail-order furniture that I've ever had.

2. Although I love the look of this cart, I found that once it was assembled, it wasn't as sturdy as I'd hoped. With a 25" tv on it, the cart listed to one side a bit so it always looked off kilter. And the wheels that you attach by sliding into open slots at the bottom of each leg slide out as soon as you lift an end of the cart to move it past a door jamb or over a carpet edge. Several times, when moving the tv, I almost succeeded in letting it fall to the floor when one of the wheels slid out, and the cart abruptly tipped. Lovely to look at but dangeous to own.



3. I bought the large cart with doors for use in an exercise room. This purchase was in lieu of buying a new flat panel tv for use when I'm on the exercise bike or treadmill. Assembly wasn't particularly difficult. In most projects, I find I've misunderstood something or the directions aren't all that clear. But I only had one issue here and it was pretty easy to redo. Product is sturdy. It isn't fine cabinetry, but it is wood rather than plastic or laminate. I think that if you're patient, don't expect Baker and wait to drink until after the project is completed, you'll be satisfied. Cursing during assembly is ok.



4. This little cart was purchased to hold a 32" thin panel TV which could be pulled out and viewed from the kitchen area of our house as needed. Seems like I always get caught in the kitchen cooking or cleaning when something really interesting is on the "big" TV in the living room.
   The cart is well made and is of quality materials. A true piece of furniture.

1. The Salamander cabinet is an outstanding product. It is large enough to hold oversized components and the finish is beautiful. Solid as a rock. The ventilation panels are terrific, as well. The IFR repeater unit is necessary because of the solid doors, but be very careful with the wiring; dividing the ends to accommodate two components managed to remove the wire covering very easily.
   
   My main concern was with the fit and difficulty of assembly. The screw for one of the legs was very difficult to set in place, and the back panels are very hard to insert. It required extra tools, and a large wrench to get the leverage necessary to turn the screw. Little details, perhaps, but an extra 30 minutes wrestling with three parts was a frustration. Thus, 4 out of 5. I don't look forward to having to remove the back panels for any wiring changes, which inevitably will happen.
   
   Once assembled, though, the product is just what I was looking for. Well desgned for use and it looks great.
