1. Took advantage of the free shipping offer from Amazon to ship this heavy component rack. Items packed extremely well with precise packaging and labeling of the hardware. Build quality is very good to support heavy audio equipment. I also purchased some casters from the same company, freely shipped too - to help with the maneuvering necessary when building and maintaining an audio and entertainment system.
   
   Seems well worth the money.. sturdy, but refined and nice to look at.

Everyone should have a surge protector protecting their computer from power surges but this model has four convenient buttons to let you power off different parts of your system while leaving others on. You can leave on your desktop for an evening defrag but turn off your router to protect your system from intrusion, while you sleep. The monitor fits atop the powermanager adding a few inches of height to your viewing as well. Green warning lights advise if the protection is working and if there is a wiring fault. This is my second model. The first lasted through over a decade of heavy use and abuse.

1. I purchased these speaker stands from Best Buy based upon a recommendation from a worker there. Because these stands were one of the more expensive sets at Best Buy, I thought they'd be fairly decent. However, they are ABSOLUTE garbage... the upper portions were not of matching diameter and did not install properly into the bases. I ended up cracking the plastic adjustment "bolt" on one stand. The one stand that was not "defective" would not stay at the proper height and the speaker would rotate too easily. The screws stripped the plastic pieces. The base is too light... it would take very little to knock the speaker stands over even without a speaker installed. Overall, because of the price and picture on the box, I thought these speaker stands would be a good buy; however, they turned out to be very flimsy and defective. Even if one of the stands was not defective, I still would not recommend them. I am no longer using these stands. Don't waste your money.
