5 comments about Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable.
  1. It is very good for the GBA. If you file off the hump on the end you can make it a GBA/GBC link cable. Ha! I say to the producers, because I proved you wrong! Now I have a two in one deal, and I only payed for one!

  2. First in foremost i would like to say that game boys usb cables
are good for 1 reason they are the only usb cables OUT THERE
I FELL LIKE IM TAKING CRAZY PILLZ!!

  3. this is one of the most best link cables out there u can attach another link to the link that this link cable has u can connect others into this one its Awesome go buy it its great for games like pokemon,yu-gi-oh

  4. This product is made by nintendo, so you know it is going to be well manufactured. it cost me about ten bucks at toys r us. it is about 40 inches, or 3 feet 4 inches. another foot would have been nice, but it gets the job done.

using game link cables, you can have up to four players play at the same time. it takes one cable to connect two people, two to connect three people, and three to connect four people.

i have one problem with it though: why is it grey and PURPLE? most video gamers are guys, and most guys i know are not crazy about the color purple. oh well.

This is probably the best game link on the market currently. get one if you plan to play with other people on your GBA.

  5. Nintendo advertises this cable to allow 4 people to play together off of one pack. Absolutely not a 100% true. Certain games such as NHL 2002, and other sports games, each player must have a pack to be able to connect. Many parents have found this out all too late on road trips and what not. Make sure you read the warning on the back of the game and instructions to see what you need for multiplayer gaming. (...)

5 comments about Speck ToughSkin Rubberized Case for iPod nano 3G (Clear).
  1. This product is excellent in almost every way: construction, appearance, durability, and function. Once this sleeve is in place, you'd be hard pressed to scratch or bang up your iPod.

My only "complaints": it was rather difficult to slide on (and will likely never come off, unless I cut it off), and the plastic window was a bit tricky to get into place.

Otherwise, all access ports are, well, easily accessible. If you're on the fence, hop on over and pick this up!

  2. I use my I-pod for running and this case along with the clip is exactly what I wanted. It's tough if I drop it, and the screen is protected. There is still openings in the case for charging it. I love it!

  3. We bought this case for our 10 year old son's nano 3G. We wanted something very tough and it has lived up to expectations. He is able to connect the nano to his iHome without having to remove it from the case which was a must for us. We highly recommend it.

  4. This casing has turned out to be exactly what I was looking for in terms of ipod protection, and I love that it also covers the screen - a feature that seems to set it apart from a lot of other products available. There is ample room for both the headphones and the charger cord so there's no need to remove the casing when you need to plug in (though, this wouldn't actually be so easy anyway, as it's so tight and pretty locked in there).

It's ideal for throwing in a bag and hauling off to the gym, and the ultra thick rubber has absorbed the shock of some potentially damaging drops and oops moments I've had with my ipod so far.

You get a lot of bang for your buck here - I'd definitely recommend this product.

  5. Was a gift and the person loved it. The shipment came 5 days before scheduled.

5 comments about Shure SCL2 Sound Isolating Earphones - Clear.
  1. This is my third pair of these in the past 5 or so years. To be more exact I have had two pair of Shure E2Cs and now my first pair of Shure SCL2s, but there basically the same earphones. The fact that I keep buying them at $75 tells you that I like them. The sound is just fine and the sound isolating is great. I use them on the subway most days and on airplanes when I travel. They are great for that.

I have also owned noise cancelling headphones and I much prefer the sound isolating style. If you're in between the two types, here is my view. The noise canceling headphones are more comfortable. But after you use the sound isolating headphones for a while, you'll get used to them. The two big advantages to the sound isolating are they are much smaller and they don't need batteries. The size is an obvious advantage, but don't discount the importance of batteries. I can't tell you how many times I forgot to switch off my sound isolating headphones and had dead batteries Monday morning on my way to work.

Now for my one gripe about the Shure headphones (causing 4-stars instead on 5). The cords are too wimpy. The reason I am on my third pair of these is that the cord had frayed away right next to the ear bud. Eventually they fray to the point that they just break. For $75 they should make the cord sturdy.

  2. These are a nice upgrade from the earlier model E2c. Truly isolating all the background noise. Very comfortable with my glasses. I love that they ship with 3 different ear sleeves for customizing the feeling in your ear. Great phones, i love them. No issues with tucking them behind the ear.

  3. Great set of headphones. Just be careful about dropping them on the floor as the shell can be prone to breaking.

  4. I got these as a replacement for the E2C due to a frayed cord. I didn't think they would send me a new pair since the old ones were about 1.5 years old, but I hadn't abused them...the cord just seemed to crack above the ear. Anyway, they sent me a new pair of SCL2s under warranty, SWEET!!!!

Anyway, I LOVE sound isolating earphones. I like my music loud, but I don't have to turn it up nearly as loud with sound isolating earphones. These earphones stay in place when exercising, which is the main time that I use them.

The sound quality is excellent. I am sure there are headphones that sound better, but for the money these are the best I have owned. They are great at blocking noise on a plane, train etc.

I haven't noticed the lack of bass that others mention - just using these with an ipod.

I did find that one ear likes a smaller plastic fitting than the other, so a nice thing about these is that you get a selection of ear pieces so you can customize the fit. Even in long bike rides in the rainy NW they stay put and sound good.

So yeah, very happy with these headphones, I would buy them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to friends.

  5. Keep in mind that this review is coming from someone who does not write reviews for the products they purchase on Amazon.com. I just feel that these headphones are so good that I had to tell other people.

First of all, I received these headphones as a birthday present two months ago. When I first listened to them, I thought that they were sub-par. I then realized that not only did I have them in my ears incorrectly, but the ear piece that was on the headphones was also too small for my ears. I switched around between the three different types (soft rubber, hard rubber, foam) and found that the medium sized soft rubber tips were the ones for me. My friend had recently received the Bose Triport In-Ear headphones, and I tried them out. All that they seemed to improve was the bass of the standard iPod headphones. These, however, are AMAZING. The high's and mid's of every song I have listened to have been surreal (try listening to any music with Horns and/or Piano). These headphones have something called a burn-in, which means that you basically have to break in the headphones because at first, the bass is not very up to par. After about two weeks of using them, they were without a doubt the best headphones that I had ever owned. The bass is perfect in my opinion, and not overwhelming as the Bose headphones are. Trust me, you will be hearing things in your music that you never even knew was there with these! A very highly recommended purchase!

4 comments about Sony Electronic Book Leather Cover (Black).
  1. This is a very nice cover, it looks like a book and isint as cheap/gaudy as the case that comes with the PRS-505. The inside is soft hide so it doesent damage the reader. The pockets in the back are nice as well.

  2. Even though I have thought that I had read a lot of reviews about the Reader I thought that it would come with no cover at all. This is why I purchased this cover. It turns out that the reader gets shipped with a cover though.

This cover is a little better than the one that was shipped with the reader. There is a little pack on the back and the inside is made of some nice material (felt if I am not mistaken) and it has some magnets on the corners, so that it clings more to the reader when closed, but my biggest grief with it is that you can't really clap it back, like you would do with the cover of a magazine or a thin book.

For a slightly better version of an item that u'll be getting with the reader itself, the price is not justified.

If you lost or damaged your cover, then this one will serve you well.

Im not giving more than 3 stars to this item, as one, who buys the reader doesn't really need this cover to start with and also because of the fact that you can fold it back...

  3. I thought this was a third party offering but it's not. If I had realized it was made by Sony, I wouldn't have bought it - based on the crappy tan colored cover that came with my PRS-505.

This one is black leather with only a slightly softer feel than the original hard tan cover. The inside is lined with a soft felt material and there's a small pocket in the back which is big enough to maybe hold a passport - that's all. But this cover is still NOT padded.

Is it worth the money? I don't think so... but I really needed it... so I'll keep it only because I hated the tan cover...:-)

  4. I didn't like the cheap plastic cover that came with the PRS-505. I prefer leather. So I bought the pink. It was ok but looked kind of tacky -- too "pink". So I bought the black. It is not sewn properly and the front it buckled. The inside is supposed to look like leather suede but it is obvious that it is just a cheap microfiber. As another reviewer has observed, it is not padded -- while the non-padded cover has "cleaner" lines, it is not as satisfying from a tactile perspective.

While the leather cover is still nicer than the one included with the reader, it is not worth $40.00 and should be much nicer given the expense of the e-Reader.

I noticed over on the Sony eReader site, they were selling a Dooney Bourke cover for awhile. However, they said that is no longer available... maybe you can find it on eBay. I haven't seen it in person but figure it has to be better than this one.

5 comments about Koss KEB24 Portable Isolation Earbud (Black).
  1. This is the second pair of Koss KEB24 that I've owned. I liked the look of these and they fit really well, I have smaller ears. But that's as far as it goes for the pro's on these. The first started out fine then turned very tinny, within an hour of use, got this second pair, seems the left and right ears are switched, usually the right is softer than the left in most pairs I've owned, but it was switched in this pair, and now the left ear is VERY tinny, after again an hour of use, so much that I wont even put it in it sounds so disgusting. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone...ever. Now I'm off to find ANOTHER set of ear buds that'll fit.

  2. Today I was watching a video on my laptop with my friend and we had to use her headphones. As soon as the video started playing I was completely blown away by the amazing bass! I have tried buying bass-boosting headphones and they never work, but these are soooo cool! I knew I had to get them for myself so here I am, just hours later, ordering a pair! The variety of colors is cool too =)

  3. The sound on these is pretty good, but I was only able to get it to fit properly in one ear. In my other ear, it just didn't want to stay in. With the ear that it did fit, it sealed well, and provided good bass response, etc.

  4. Very disappointing performance from a great name in headphones and earbuds.

    Flat, tiny, limited bass response.

Well made, but a poor performer. They do not do justice to the iPod Nano 4G.

  5. My experience with audio puts me in the sane-audiophile chapter. I appreciate my THX certified home theatre, but I realize that the monster cable is mostly a gimmick and that Bose is the biggest waste of money out there. My favorite brands are JBL, Infinity, Harman Kardon, Klipsch, Polk, Sennheiser, beyerdynamic, Grado, Denon, Advent, Dayton Audio, Boston Acoustics, and last but not least Yamaha.

Audio Quality: Comparing directly to my sennheiser HD-555's, I feel that the bass is exaggerated and can get in the way of the treble. This leads to a flatter resulting sound experience that doesn't have the transparency that I prefer. Even though it lacks the highs I desire, these earbud's in no way are bad. In fact they are very similar to my sennheiser CX300's as far as frequency response is concerned. Impressive since I paid Eighty Dollars for the sennheisers. But my sennheisers broke, and I needed something between warranty replacement.

Construction Quality: I love the earbuds, stress reliefs, and the behind the neck style cord. While the line is cheap plastic, I do not expect it to be any better than what it is for this cost. The thing I replaced right away was the rubber isolation pads. The pads oddly compress too easily at the bend and end up folding over onto the hard plastic. Its best if you suspend the hard plastic casing with the pad, and not force it too deep into your ear.

Naysayers: If you find you are having problems with lack of bass, definitely use the proper size of pad for your ear canal. Also, these go in your ear canal, not rotated 90 degrees like cheapo earbuds.

3 comments about RG6 Premium Solid Copper Quad-shield Coaxial Cable.
  1. I've tried other cables--ok, I was cheap and bought whatever was available at the store. The signal looked terrible, so I didn't use it and kept the tv where it was. Several years later, decided I really need to move the tv to another location, so ordered this based on good reviews. I am really happy with it. The picture looks perfect!

  2. This is a perfect cable for our outdoor TV antenna. Looks like it will hold up to Minnesota's extreme weather conditions.

  3. This product was observed to have the least (if any) video signal attenuation over long distances. I highly recommend using this cable instead of a cheap unshielded coax cable to prevent expected image "ghosting" on your TV receiver especially when the cable input (generally "at the wall") is far from your TV (greater than 10 feet or more).

I purchased this Quad-Shield cable in the 50 feet configuration and the signal (video) characteristics are amazing compared to a regular unshielded coax cable purchased from WALL Mart for under $10. In reality you always get what you pay for!

Guys this is one of the very good brand which is available in the market. Defenitely worth the buy.

5 comments about Pantone Color Bridge Set.
  1. I am a part time Graphic Designer, and full time Pre-press worker for a 4-Color digital print shop. This book is perfect for that.

Many people bring their print jobs in to us and say "I need Pantone 320 for the logo" and we have to explain over and over again that many Pantone colors are impossible to create using on the CMYK color gamut. They always look at us like we are crazy.

Now we can just show them the color swatch and how much different it will look when printed in CMYK. Then we can work on finding the closest equivalent color.

It's more expensive than other books because it has double the number of color chips in it. But if you plan on printing with any 4 Color Digital, or Press printers it's a must have.

  2. Without this, graphics professionals would be clueless as to how their spot colors would transfer to CMYK.
This small investment will yield BIG BENEFITS:
Select your spot colors based on how they will convert to CMYK
Never have a client call with the bad news that their corporate spot color printed wrong in a CMYK magazine.
If you don't have this tool, stay out of the color design/production field.

  3. This a great set, that would should be on every designer's desk.

I've used this set to help my clients choose and match colors they want used for their designs, which allows me to provide a digital file to them with both the CMYK and PMS colors called out. Many times a client wants to be able to take their design to a local digital print shop, so it's nice to be able to show the client exactly what they can expect from the output and to know that there won't be any surprises when they get the piece back.

There are two sets of matching swatches: PMS solids on the left and the matching CMYK on the right. The solids provide the PMS number, the RGB values, and the HTML hexadecimal value. The CMYK matching colors provide the PMS number and the CMYK values.

This is an invaluable tool and one that we can use to help educate our clients.

  4. As a graphic designer, I've been using the Pantone PMS Matching system for over 15 years, and was excited to get the Pantone Color Bridge set. However, it was a 2005 edition, and the colors were no longer all "true," especially the CMYK mixes. I had a print job almost ruined because I used the CMYK mix on the bridge set. Upon seeing a printed proof of my job, I double-checked the ink setup on another CMYK chart, and realized the Bridge color was very wrong. I returned the set the next day, as this could have been a very costly mistake. On a positive note, Amazon made the return very easy.

  5. I am a graphic designer and should have purchased this bridge book a long time ago. Colors on different computer monitors can vary tremendously and this alleviates a lot of guesswork. It is also much easier to show clients the difference between spot and Pantone colors instead of just explaining it.

3 comments about Atlona - Video / audio coupler - HDMI - 19 pin HDMI (F) - 19 pin HDMI (F).
  1. This coupler does what it says it does. I'm really glad I bought it.

  2. This is a nice little unit, very rugged, and no signal loss due to the unusually high gauge wires connecting the front socket with the back one. Holds on to the normally very loose HDMI connectors, too, so your cables won't slip out.

I ran one down the wall on the TV side, and the other down the wall on the Cable Box side, with this connector joining the two cables in the basement. That way I can replace one of the cables without having to change out the other one at the same time.

I recently bought a second one to keep on hand because occasionally a cable isn't quite long enough to reach, and this will solve the problem quickly (as long as you have another HDMI cable to connect to it).

  3. Don't let big companies (Best Buy, Circuit City) fool you. You can buy cheap HDMI componentry and not lose a thing. You don't need a Monster super cable from BB for $100 - buy the $3 version here. This coupler extended two cheap (less than $10 a piece) HDMI cables perfectly with no signal loss and a pretty picture.

5 comments about Belkin Slim Back Pack (Black/Light Gray).
  1. I like to carry my laptop on a backpack rather than a shoulder-strap case because you can freely move, run and use both arms. This was the perfect backpack for my laptop (mine is 15.4" and fits perfect) because besides the proection it provides, you can also find several pockets so you can carry on the charger, cables, cd's and other stuff.

The quality of the product is superb, hard shielded outside and soft inside, and when you wear that backpack nobody would imagine there's a laptop inside.

  2. I really enjoy this backpack. It is *very* light and compact. The compartments are generally well thought out. There is a few complaints about it though:

    * The inside compartment is kind of annoying, sometimes you have to open the backpack fully to insert a book because otherwise it gets caught on one of the two useless pieces of cloth that otherwise impede the non-laptop area.
    * The part that touches your back when you use it is a very light shade of gray (on my black-packback model.) It is more prone to staining, and mine is stained. I would prefer it black. When you place the backpack on a dirty table you shouldn't have to worry about it staining. This is the most serious flaw. I might spray mine with black paint.
    * The inside of the mp3 holding compartment is retarded. If you place a cd player in it, it will fall to the very bottom of the compartment (at the bottom of the backpack) so you will lose a foot of slack in the cable that you shouldn't lose.
    * There is two straps on the backpack, only one of which has a cell-phone pouch. This pouch is a stretchable piece of a cloth. I like this *alot*, I just wish there was two. (for my Sansa mp3 player)

These aren't to major. Just notes to the guys who design them more than reasons not to purchase the backpack. I gave it a solid 4 stars. I would have given it five it the back of the backpack was simply black. Starbucks tables have made mine ugly. =(

  3. This is a really nice pack, it has a simple design, the black color looks really nice with gray, it has charger bag inside, the only backwards is that doesn't have belts for smaller laptops, its designed for 15.4 and nothing else, I use it with my 14.1, and really miss the protection belts to hold my notebook firmly

  4. this low profile form factor is great for holding a laptop, documents, camera, ipod, etc.
The velvet-like laptop compartment is really nice and the small zippered power cord pouch is a bonus.
Great to wear on the bike or the motorcycle.

  5. I bought this for my notebook, and it worked great, it only has additional space for 1-1.5 textbook(s)so use for school might be out of the question. The single strap is very comfortable and after 4 months of daily use has held up very well.
